Playing with Fire (A Steamy Older Man Younger Woman Romance) Page 3

by Mia Madison

“What would you like to do with me?” I know what I'd like that to be.

“Oh I'd like to take down your panties and fuck you hard.” His eyes drill into me, challenging me. I swear my heart stops, but I don't look away.

“And I am going to fuck you,” he growls. “Soon. But first I think you need a lesson.”

I gasp as he picks me up and virtually throws me over his shoulder. I'm so shocked I start to laugh. But as I hammer on his back protesting and giggling, “Hey! Put me down. What are you doing?” he carries me farther into the garden down a path that curves away from where we were. There's a gazebo at the end, hidden from the hotel and the rest of the garden. He sits down on the wooden bench there and pulls me over his lap.

“You need a spanking,” he says. “To teach you to behave. Don't you agree?”

I've never had a spanking in my life other than maybe the odd rare tap on my legs as a child when I misbehaved, but this is something else, something visceral and hot so I don't protest. I don't say anything. I swear my heart, everything, stops, frozen in time.

He lifts the hem of my dress pushing it up to my waist and whacks me just once over my panties. I moan, not from pain. It didn't truly hurt, though I feel a sting in my behind. No, I moan because of his touch, from his hand now rubbing away that sting.

“Do you like that?” he asks.

  “No, yes, I don't know.”

“I think you do.” He runs his fingers back and forth over the crotch of my underwear. I know I'm wet there. His kisses are responsible for that but lying over his lap and him spanking and touching me like that means I'm soaking. He brings his fingers to his nose and I look up. He's breathing in my scent and I groan.

“We'll leave it there for now,” he murmurs, his voice rough. “The sound will carry too much. Something for later.”

There's going to be a later? I hope so but more than ever I'm hoping for a now rather than a later. I want to be in his bed.

  CHAPTER EIGHT

  Jack

Madilyn is too good to be true. She's beautiful. She's here. She wants me. And she lets me take her over my knee and spank her—a heady combination designed to drive me wild.

I sit her upright on my lap and plant another kiss on her lips, her soft body curving into mine. She takes my breath away. I want her in my bed tonight but how can we do this? She's staying with her parents. They are not going to be happy with me.

“You'll be the end of me,” I say, kissing her again. “But we'd better go in. You'll be missed.”

“Not that much. They're all having a good time and they won't care. I'd rather have a good time with you.” She runs her hands over the front of my shirt, and my cock jolts against her. “But not out here. I thought you said you had a room here...”

  “I do, but...”

  “If not now, when?”

  I can't answer that.

“Now it is then,” she says, as if determined to press her point, squashing any kind of resistance in my mind though I had precious little in the first place. It was hanging by a thread in the face of whatever is happening here—chemistry, fate, who the fuck knows what?

My cock is so hard it's going to explode if I don't have her tonight. I don't think I ever wanted a woman as much as I want Madilyn right now.

“Just a little something to keep me going until then,” I say, bending to kiss her, because I need to calm the fuck down and avoid looking like a kid in a free-for-all candy store.

“Just one kiss, then,” she says. “And a promise of more to...er...come.”

The little minx. She deserves another spanking for that teasing. But we can leave that for later.

I kiss her slowly and deliberately at first, so she knows who's in charge here. Then I take her mouth, just as I expect to take her later—a hard, hungry, all-consuming kiss. She responds, giving herself up to me. I like this more and more. I like her more and more. I liked and loved her as a child but now it's something else entirely. I can't help reaching out to run my fingers over her breasts massaging the soft flesh and I'm rewarded by her moans. I can't wait to bury my face there when she's mine.

“Time to go in?” I ask.

But then through the gloom of the garden I hear footsteps.

“I thought I heard voices. What are you two doing out here?” Fuck! It's Brian. Her father!

  CHAPTER NINE

  Madilyn

Luckily for us, Dad can't see over the bushes that surround the gazebo and by the time he's right there, we are looking respectable like two people just sitting on a bench, our clothes no longer disarranged, my hair smoothed down. But what can we say we are doing out here? How do we explain that?

Jack is quicker thinking than me.

“Hey Brian. Madilyn was sounding me out about her future plans,” Jack says. “Not that I know much but I guess it helps to have an outside view of her options.”

“I guess,” Dad says, though I'm not sure he's buying it. “We are all looking for you, Madilyn. I'm just going to say a few words.”

We follow him in, my heart thudding. If he had come out a minute earlier I don't know what would have happened. Jack squeezes my fingers and I snatch my hand away. Is that meant to be reassuring? But then I wish I hadn't rebuffed him. What if he thinks I'm having second thoughts about this?

I take my place on the stage with my parents and Sarah. Dad's speech is lovely, not just for Mum but for my sister and me too. Even so, I can't help my eyes wandering over to the side of the ballroom where Jack is standing and he can't seem to take his eyes off me either. He doesn't look like he's worried by any second thoughts—either his or mine. I think of how we'll get together later in his room and what I'd like him to do to me, what I want to do to him.

Then my sister is speaking saying what great parents Mum and Dad are. Shit! Do I have to say something too? I hate speaking in public. But she's handing me the mike.

“Yes. What she said,” I say, pointing to Sarah. “You guys are great. Here's to another twenty-five years.” And I give Mum and Dad a hug. The crowd claps and cheers and that is done, thank goodness. We get down from the stage.

The waiters have set out a buffet supper on long tables to feed the crowd. Jack signals with a tilt of his head that he's leaving the room and I follow. I couldn't stomach food right now.

“I hate doing that,” I say. “Having to speak in front of all those people.”

“You did fine. Don't sweat it,” he says. “It was all from the heart. That's what counts.”

“Do you think Dad suspected anything when we were outside?”

“Maybe, but if it will make you feel better about lying, I could just take you up to my room and talk to you about your career prospects now to make up for it. On the other hand, I have a few things in mind I want to do with you right now in that room that you might like better than a chat about your future.”

“Oh, and what do you have in mind?”

“Do you want to find out?”

“Yes.” I gulp. I’m finding it hard to speak.

He pulls me into the elevator. There's no one about. They are probably falling over themselves to get to the buffet like a swarm of locusts ready to devour platefuls of sandwiches and cheese cubes on cocktail sticks.

“Things like this,” he says, kissing me softly on the lips, “and this.” He brushes the back of his hand over the front of my dress, the hardness of his knuckles causing my nipples to spring up. “And even this,” he says, running his fingers up my leg tracing the edge of my panties, ever so slowly until he reaches my center. My breath hitches.

“To hell with the future,” I say. “I'm all for the present.”

It's as if there's another Madilyn talking. I have never been so bold. But then I have never had a guy like Jack wanting me.

He pulls the skirt of my dress straight as we get out of the elevator, and takes my hand. I love the feel of his fingers interlinked with mine, reassuring me though I'm anything but calm as we walk along that hotel corrido
r to his room.

“Come inside,” he says, his voice rough and I could swear there's more than an invitation to enter a room there. The man has a way with inserting a word or tone into a sentence and changing the whole meaning.

  CHAPTER TEN

  Jack

I couldn't wait to be alone with Madilyn but realistically I don't know how long we have here in my room at the hotel before we need to go back downstairs. Will I be able to hold my need for her back long enough to avoid scaring the crap out of her? That's the last thing I want but oh hell I want her so bad.

She falls into my arms as soon as we get through the heavy door. Just as well they make those fuckers strong and fire retardant for hotels because before I know it I have her up against it and a less reinforced door might not be able to take it. We're being anything but careful with it. That kiss was not careful. She's not being careful pulling at my shirt and I sure as hell am not being careful as I pull open the neckline of her dress.

It’s just as well her dress is made of some kind of stretchy fabric that just springs apart to my touch and lets me bury my face between her breasts exactly where I want to be. My shirt does not fare so well. There are buttons pinging everywhere as her hands roam all over me.

I push down the fabric of her bra and my mouth is on her, licking and sucking at her tight hard nipple. She moans and arches into me, offering herself to my lips. So sweet in her lust, I could gobble her up and hell! Try and stop me.

I drop to my knees at her feet and push up her dress, the blue material clinging to her waist. Damn! Thigh high stockings frame her mound perfectly, her little lacy panties the only thing between my mouth and the core of her.

She's holding her breath, her hands in my hair, as I kiss her there, breathing in the sweet scent of her, before I yank down her wet underwear, exposing her to my gaze. I stick out my tongue to touch the tip to her clit, gently teasing then circling around and around very, very slowly before speeding up. She jerks against me, a groan escaping her lips.

“Oh Jack,” she says. She tries to pull me up.

But I'm having none of it. I hold her thighs apart and I spell it out to her one word at a time, each word punctuated by a long swipe of my tongue over her clit. “I'm—going— to—make—you—come—like—this—I’m—going—to—take—care—of—you.”

Her protests get weaker and weaker until they aren't protests at all but guttural moans, urging me on.

I take her engorged clit between my lips and suck, teasing that most sensitive part of her back and forth at the same time with my tongue, delighting in the taste of her. I can’t get enough of that. She convulses on my mouth and cries out. The sweet sound of her pleasure is music to my ears.

Burying my face in her soft stomach, I kiss her there and groan. There's no time to do everything I want with her right now, much as it pains me. I realize if I take her to bed now, there's no way we'll ever return to that party.

Reluctantly, knowing I'm going to ache for her until we’re together again, I pull up her panties, then rearrange her dress. “I'm going to take you back. They'll be looking for you. I just need to change my shirt.”

I get up but as I reach into my bag, she has other ideas. Her hands are all over me.

  CHAPTER ELEVEN

  Madilyn

“I don't want to go back to the party.” I feel his abs in the damaged shirt, the ripples of his muscles making butterflies run amok through my insides.

“If you just disappear from the party, they'll come looking for you. You know that. They won't go home without finding you.” He looks at me. I can tell he's being sincere and that he thinks it's for the best if we go back downstairs now but I don't like it.

  “Don't you want me?”

“Of course, I want you. I'd like nothing better than to show you how much I want you all night long. But they'll send out a search party if you just disappear and then a lynch mob when they find you here.” He has a fresh shirt in his hands ready to put on but he's smiling, stroking my hair, trying to make me see sense.

But I don't want to be sensible. I want him. “I'll make some excuse. Carrie will help me. Hang on while I call her.”

I'm not sure where she got to. I might have felt bad for abandoning her at my parents' dull party except last I looked she was heavily in discussion with my cousin Tom though it looked like much more than a heated debate to me. Maybe there's something between them. Who knows?

Carrie answers my call. “Hey Madilyn. What gives? Where are you?”

“With Jack. In the hotel. Can I tell Mum I'm going out with you and then staying at yours?”

“Sure. But they're already wondering where you are. You might need to make an appearance so they believe it.”

“Oh alright then. See you in a bit.”

  I end the call.

“Don't tell me,” Jack says. “You have to go back.”

  “I'm afraid so.”

He gathers me in his arms and kisses my hair. “That’s what we’ll do then.”

I've never wanted to see my parents less. But I guess it's their party and I don't want to spoil it or have them worry where I am. As we get back to the ballroom Jack mingles with the crowd and I look for them.

“Oh there you are,” Mum says when I see her. “Where have you been? I thought you were enjoying the dancing and then you disappeared.”

“I was just looking for Carrie. She suggested going to a club or something after the party.”

“I saw her with Tom. Those two were getting on like a house on fire.” We grin because Dad hates that expression, a house on fire being anything but fun in his book.

“Okay, maybe she's changed her mind but I'll find her and let you know. I'll just get a taxi back myself if we're not going out.”

“I saw you dancing with Jack. That looked like much more than a dance.” Mum doesn't miss a thing. I just shrug. I won't lie to her.

“I know you just split up with Duncan and Jack might look tempting on the face of it but Madilyn, he's twice your age. You know that, don't you?”

“Of course I know, but he doesn't seem that old.”

“Even if he doesn't, your Dad is not going to be happy if you take up with Jack even if we love him to bits as a family friend. You must have noticed, his record with women is not the best. I keep hoping he’ll settle on one. But so far, it doesn’t look likely. I don't want you to get hurt.”

I can't answer all that right now. I know it doesn't seem sensible on the face of it. But there is no answer I can give that is going to satisfy her so I just say. “Don't worry Mum I'm a big girl. I can look after myself.”

“Maybe,” she says. “But things hurt just as much when you're a big girl. Sometimes more. Anyway, I won't stop you. I'll get your father home and hope he doesn't notice for now. I'm just saying if this continues, he might not be easy to win over once he finds out.”

I give her a hug. “You're the best, Mum. I love you.”

“I love you too, honey bun. It's nice to have you back.”

  “It's great to be back.”

It's good to have Mum in my corner. She can usually smooth things over with Dad like the time he thought I shouldn't be allowed to wear makeup at fourteen or wear THAT dress to the school dance. I'm not sure about this though. This is bigger than fussing about what I wear or don’t wear.

I look for Jack. He's not in the ballroom that I can see, but he texts me.

“I saw you talking to your mother. Looked serious. Maybe catch you later?”

But I text right back. “No, catch me now.”

  CHAPTER TWELVE

  Jack

I want this girl like no other but now she's out of my arms and I have time to draw breath, I see problems ahead. Big problems. I can’t see Brian accepting any of this. Because of my age—I’m nearer his age than Madilyn’s. Because of my history with women. He knows too much about me. I’m not the kind of guy who goes into details, but there was never any reason to hide the number of dates I had from h
im. He used to find it funny, but he’s not going to laugh about this.

I thought Madilyn might have second thoughts once she was back at the party among her family. But from her message it looks like nothing has changed.

Should I avoid creating problems for her by sending her away now, making her hate me? That has to be the best thing for her even if it's not the best thing for me.

Moving back here, even if I can't be with her, I'll see her all the time at the Colliers. They'll not know what went on between us even if it was just a few hours at their silver anniversary celebration. I'll hear when Madilyn is out on a date, when she's happy with another guy. Fuck. I'll get invited to her wedding. The thought of that is enough to put the idea of disappointing and upsetting her now to prevent problems later right out of my head. Maybe I shouldn't take the job back here then. But in truth now I’ve found her I can't bear the thought of staying away.

I text her back. “I'll see you as soon as this party is over. Can't wait x”

The evening drags on with more dancing. I don't join in but try my best to stop my eyes following Madilyn around the room by getting involved in conversations with the people I know from all the years I've known Brian and his wife. There are a few guys from the fire station at the party. They're a great crowd and it will be good to be back among them, but my mind is not really on joining in their banter. There will be time enough for that when I get back to work.

When the slow dances come on, I want to take Madilyn in my arms and join the other couples on the dance floor but I know it would give away too much if I did. I couldn't just dance with her and make it look like it meant nothing.

All I can do is text, “Soon x.”

She looks at the screen on her phone and then over at me. We're on opposite sides of the room but I swear the atmosphere is burning up a path between us like a fuse has been lit and something is going to explode in a ball of fire any second.
