It was Fuchs’ claim that it was Tina Ng’s idea to kill him, saying it was the only way to get him off their backs. Fuchs admitted she was right but said, ‘I’m really not into that sort of thing. It just seems, you know, a little over the top. Even if Bishop Alexander deserved it more than most humans. If you could call him human.’ His remorse, or lack thereof, wasn’t going to go down well with a jury, Champion said.
Fuchs said he managed not to get involved in what happened, but did say that Ng convinced Morley to find a way to slip a roofie to ‘the roommate,’ so she, Ng, could get in and ‘talk’ to Bishop. Fuchs also said that Morley was stupid enough to believe that Ng was only going to ‘talk.’ After seeing Tina Ng in action on her takedown of Detective Champion, no one was surprised that she was able to subdue and kill a sleeping Bishop Alexander. Fuchs also claimed that his wife, Annabelle, knew nothing about the test scam or why he was leaving in such a hurry.
‘She’s a good woman,’ Fuchs said. ‘She does what I tell her to do.’ He shook his head. ‘I hope she finds someone new. Maybe someone who doesn’t get himself in such hot water, you know?’
The college paper had a field day with the scandal and my son was named one of the primary people involved in taking down the ring. I’m sure he was more popular now with the faculty but maybe a little less so with his classmates, who had relied on the cheating scam. But better a reputation as a goody two shoes than as a murderer, am I right?
I got home in time to start on my bodice ripper that I planned on paying for a trip to Europe for two next fall. I obviously needed some alone time with my man.
