Then Harry’s hand left dropped to my slightly rounded stomach in awe. “A baby…” he said, voice filled with awe. “I wonder what it’ll be?” I almost cried at the new kind of wonder in his voice. “Boy or a girl? I wonder who they will look like.” I wanted them to look like him. Or at least inherit those blue eyes I was still obsessed with. I snorted in amusement, and Harry frowned. “What?”
“I’m more concerned about when they’re older and ask us how we met.”
“At work,” Harry said. “Easy.”
I shrugged playfully. “I don’t know, I mean I was thinking of going with the story that I was your sexual submissive and you my firm and well-endowed master.” I put on my best voice. “Well darling, your daddy locked me in some stocks, and after a good round of mind-blowing cunnilingus, he pounded the fuck out of me, and it was then I knew I was in love.”
“Well, there’s years of therapy we have to look forward to.”
I sat up and faced Harry, and with my hand on his cheek and those eyes I adored locked on mine, I said, “Then how about this.” I felt a bit of my heart melt and turn to mush, because I had Harry and this life and all the love in the world and I was allowed to be mushy if I wanted to be. “Love didn’t come easily to me at first, but the more I got to know your daddy, all sides of him…” I waggled my eyebrows at him suggestively, and Harry playfully rolled his eyes. “I couldn’t resist him.”
“Perfect,” he said and took my hand. He ran his thumb over my wedding ring and nodded resolutely. “That’s perfect. No more needs to be said. Nothing further needs to be explained. Less is more in this case, love. Less is more.”
“And the more I got to know him,” I continued, ignoring his attempt to shut me up but thanking God that I had this man, and now our baby, in my life, “the harder and deeper I fell.”
I kissed Harry and said against his lips, “And in no time at all, he brought me to my knees, and I became totally,” kiss, “absolutely,” kiss, “and thoroughly,” kiss, “whipped.”
