It seemed to hit her everywhere at once, so intense that she froze, unable to even breathe.

It held her there, their quick strokes and low curses keeping her high on the crest of it and not letting her go for so long that it scared her.

Her vision blurred, her head spinning dizzily as it finally released her.

Her hoarse cry sounded ragged and tortured, spurring a response from them that she hadn’t expected.

Mason and Barrett both gathered her close, holding her immobile while Quinn and Grant pumped into her.

The waves continued to wash over her, the pleasure holding her in its grip while Quinn and Grant fucked her through it.

Words of praise and encouragement came from all around her, but lost in a world of ecstasy, she missed a good part of it. Their voices were enough, the groans from Quinn and Grant as they came, and the soft murmurs filled with wonder and excitement from Barrett and Mason.

Closing her eyes, she let herself go, trusting them implicitly.

Shaking everywhere, Kendra slumped, moaning as small ripples of pleasure continued to wash over her. Clumsy and uncoordinated, she found herself passed from Barrett’s hold to Grant’s.

Gathering her against his chest, Grant, groaned. “I may never move again.”

A weak giggle escaped as she turned her face into his chest. “I don’t think I can. Everything’s weak and tingly.”

Mason pushed her hair back, bending to touch his lips to hers. “Tingly?”

“Yeah. Tingly. Oh!” Stiffening at the feel of Quinn’s cock slipping free, Kendra curled her toes. “Oh, God. I can’t believe we did that.”

Mason cupped her breast, kneading gently, his thumb moving back and forth over her nipple. “We’re going to do it again real soon. Move, Grant.”

With an arm around her waist, Barrett lifted her from Grant’s cock and pulled her against him. Moving her with an ease she didn’t think she’d ever get used to, he rolled to his back and settled her over him, his hands sliding to her hips. “Easy, little one.”

Lifting her effortlessly, he positioned her over the head of his cock and began to lower her, the condom not preventing her from feeling every bump and ridge of his thick heat. “Good. You’re soaked. Yeah, that’s it. You can take me. Hmm. Fuck. A little more. Yes, love. A little more. Mace, lean her back. I want to work on her clit.”

The friction of his callused fingers over her swollen and sensitized clit created a pleasure that bordered on pain and had her writhing on his cock.

“Barrett!” Gripping his hand to pull it away, she fought him, moving up and down on his cock in an effort to escape his ministrations, fucking herself on his steely length as Mason cursed behind her.

“Damn. As soon as you touch her clit, she’s wild.” Burying his face against her neck, he tugged at her nipples, groaning at her cry. “So fucking wild. Hold her. I want to get my cock in her ass, but I want to lube her a little more.”

Releasing her clit, Barrett pulled her down to his chest, his hard arm in the middle of her back keeping her immobile. “Yeah, she’s a wild one all right. And she’s all ours, aren’t you, little one?”

Kendra gasped when his other hand slid to her bottom, his strong fingers pulling her bottom cheeks wide. “Yes!” Even if the fantasy could only last a short time, she wanted it. “All yours. I’ve never felt this way before. Oh, God.”

“Tell me.” Sliding his arm higher, Barrett cupped the back of her head. “Tell me what he’s doing.”

Aware of Quinn and Grant leaving the room to go into the adjoining bathroom, Kendra gripped Barrett’s shoulders, lifting her head slightly to look up at him. “He’s putting more lube. Oh, God. He’s got his finger inside me and he’s moving it around.”

With her ass spread wide, she couldn’t escape Mason’s touch, no matter how much she squirmed.

Barrett chuckled softly, a deep rumbling next to her ear. “How does it feel?”

She couldn’t believe he would ask her such a question. “Barrett, I can’t.”

Mason stilled. “Excuse me? Honey, we’ll keep you just like this. You’d better start talking.” The threat in his voice deepened it, making it more gravelly than before.

A shiver went through her when he added another finger, and with a moan, she pressed her face against Barrett’s chest, her ass clenching hard.

Mason pushed them deeper, rotating them inside her. “Tell Barrett what I’m doing to your ass now.”

The bed shifted as a sharp slap landed on her bottom. “Tell him.” The demand in Quinn’s voice heightened her awareness even more, the heat from his slap mingling with the heat from Mason’s thrusts.

Her clit felt huge, and she dug her knees into the bedding to rock against Barrett, crying out when it also moved her on Mason’s fingers.

“He put another finger in and he’s m–moving it around. Oh, God. I want to come.” Trembling, she held on to Barrett, sucking in a breath when Quinn’s lips touched her back.

Sliding a hand to her bottom, Quinn rubbed the spot he’d just slapped, spreading the heat. “Tell us how it feels.”

“It feels so wicked. Naughty. Sexual.” Kendra threw her head back, crying out when Mason pulled his fingers free and pressed the head of his cock against her puckered opening. Between the lube and her own juices, she was soaking wet, moisture coating the insides of her thighs like never before.

Barrett’s chuckle ended on a groan when Mason began to enter her. “But you like it. Tell me. Tell me how it feels.”

“It’s so hard. I’m so full. I can’t stop clenching on either one of you, and every time I do, I feel even fuller. I need to move. My clit aches so bad.”

“Hmm. We can’t have you aching anywhere, can we?” Barrett held firm while Mason worked several inches of his cock into her, his slow, smooth strokes going deeper and deeper. “It looks like we’re gonna have to do something about that.”

Struck by his playfulness, Kendra looked down into his eyes, her breath catching at the emotion and hunger glittering in them. It lasted only an instant before they began to move, but when she closed her eyes, she could still see it.

Mason groaned, his hands tightening on her ass. “Fuck! Barrett, I can’t last.” His voice, nearly unrecognizable, sounded tortured.

“Neither can I.” Barrett’s hands slid to her breasts. “Too fucking tight, and I’ve waited too long, but I’m not coming until she does.”

Kendra couldn’t believe the fullness, her entire slit burning with the pressure. The friction of their cocks over her inner walls sent her reeling, the brush of her clit against Barrett making it impossible to hold back.

Their thrusts came harder and faster as the warning tingles began, and only a few thrusts later, the pleasure exploded.

Crying out, she threw her head back, her pleasure growing at the encouragement from Quinn and Grant on either side of her. She didn’t soar as high as she had the last time, but her orgasm lasted longer, wave after wave of pleasure rolling through her. Crying out again and again, she moved into the hands moving over her, riding the wave for as long as she could.

Quinn fisted a hand in her hair. “Yes. Let me see that face. Beautiful. God, I love watching you come.”

Grant slid a hand over her belly. “I’ve never seen anything so beautiful. So fucking sexy. Christ, she’s a fantasy come to life.”

Both men surged deep, their cocks pulsing inside her providing just enough friction to send another rush of tingling heat through her.

Drained, she slumped, so uncoordinated and lethargic that she couldn’t even work up enough energy to open her eyes.

Barrett gathered her close, crooning to her as Mason withdrew. “That she is. Shhh. You’re okay. I’ve got you, little one.”

“I can’t move.” Kendra snuggled against him. “I wanna sleep.”

Quinn laughed softly, pushing her hair back from where it covered her face. “You’ll feel better once you get cleaned up.

  Kendra couldn’t even imagine wo
rking up the energy to get up. “No. Don’t wanna.”

With her head pillowed on Barrett’s massive chest, she started to doze, shivering slightly as her body cooled.

Holding her against his chest, Barrett rose from the bed in a feat of strength that she never would have believed. “She’s getting cold. No, don’t struggle. You’re not getting into bed without getting cleaned up. You’ll feel much better.”

To her surprise, Mason appeared on her other side.

“Give her to me. I’ve already gotten rid of the condom. I’ll get her in the shower and you can come in and start washing her. That way, you can check out her thigh.”

He shifted her to Mason’s arms. “Her thigh’s fine. I already checked it. I’ll be right in. I need to take the stitches out tomorrow.”

Grant followed them. “Where’s her stuff?”

Quinn’s voice came from the bathroom. “I’ve got it. When she’s dry, I’ll give her a nice massage.”

Too weary and sated to argue, Kendra leaned against Mason’s chest, loving the feel of being held as he got into the shower with her.

She melted under the warm spray, and a few minutes later, moaned at the feel of Barrett’s hands moving over her as he washed her.

She jolted when he washed her slit, opening her eyes, and blinking against the spray. “No! Don’t touch me there.”

Barrett’s brow went up. “It’s a little late for modesty, don’t you think?”

  “It’s too sensitive.”

Barrett smiled. “When have I ever been anything but gentle with you? Now behave yourself and let me take care of you. You’ll feel better.”

By the time they finished washing and rinsing her, she trembled all over.

In no time at all, she found herself dried and lying facedown on the bed, with Quinn’s hands moving over her, smoothing lotion into her skin.

  “That feels good.”

Bending close, Quinn nuzzled her neck. “Good. When we get done, we’ll get you bundled up in something warm and go downstairs. I’ll make some hot chocolate for you.”

“No, thanks. I want to sleep.”

“You’re sleeping with me tonight. The others are going to want to hold you, too.”

Grant stretched out on her other side, smoothing lotion on her arms. “I know I do.”

Kendra turned toward him and opened one eye, frowning. “Why are you guys always dressed while I’m naked?”

Grant smiled, his handsome features stealing her breath. “Because we like having you naked. Besides, honey, we’ll get naked anytime you want.”

Kendra smiled and reached for him, her smile falling at the loud crash that came from downstairs. She started to jump up, only to be yanked from the bed to the floor by a cursing Quinn while the others ran from the room.

He’d knocked the wind out of her and with his big body over hers, she could barely breathe.

Leaning back, he ran his hands over her, his expression appearing to be carved in stone. “Are you all right?”

She started to sit up. “Yeah. What the hell—” She jolted as another crash sounded.

“Gunfire. You stay right here.” Yanking the covers from the bed, he bundled her into them. “Don’t you fucking move! Do you hear me?”

  Gunfire?

Kendra blinked, her brain not functioning at full speed. “Of course I hear you.”

Quinn’s eyes had darkened to nearly black, his expression cold as ice. “No matter what you hear, do not fucking move!”

He raced from the room, leaving her shaken, her worst fears coming to life.

Whoever had shot at her in town had finally decided to make his move.

Despite being wrapped in the warm blanket, she shivered at the chill that went all the way to the bone.

She jolted as another crash sounded, frozen in fear for several long seconds as she listened to shouts and rapid-fire orders coming from both the front and the back of the house.

She had to get down there!

Scrambling from the covers, she dressed in one of the sweat suits she’d bought in town, her hands shaking so hard that it took far too long.

Hearing more gunshots, she whimpered, scared to death of someone getting hurt.

Barrett, Quinn, Mason, and Grant were out there.

Even now, one of them could be dead, or lying out there bleeding.

She’d risked their lives by staying here, and now they might very well be paying the ultimate price for her selfishness in wanting to stay.

A sob escaped before she could prevent it, and with blurred vision, she slipped on the pair of socks she’d worn earlier and raced for the stairs.

And to the men she loved.

  Chapter Eighteen

On legs that shook, Kendra made her way to the top of the stairs.

When another shot rang out, Kendra started running down the stairs, pausing when Mason cursed and called out her name.

“Kendra, don’t you dare fucking come down here!”

Stopping abruptly, Kendra gripped the railing and raised her voice to be heard over the shouts and gunshots that seemed to come from everywhere. “Damn it, Mason! Are you okay?”

“Just fucking peachy! Stay right where you are.” She heard him bark out orders from the front door, the tension in his voice sending a chill through her to layer over the others.

A few seconds later, she heard Grant cursing and realized that he’d taken a position at the back door.

She couldn’t hear Quinn or Barrett.

Several more shots rang out, some from far away, some from close by, and a few from what sounded like right outside the front and back door, each one making her jolt.

Mason, at the front door, yelled back at Grant. “So far we’ve found two out here. How many are back there?”

“Two.” Another shot rang out. “One. Someone just got one. You see Barrett?”

“No, damn it! He went around the other side of the stables. You see Quinn?”

“Are you kidding? Quinn can be damned near invisible when he wants to, but I’ll bet he’s the one who shot him.”

Mason cursed. “Christ, I want to check on Kendra. If one of those bullets—”

  “Don’t even say it.”

Kendra tried to speak, but nothing came out except a croak. Swallowing heavily, she tried again, raising her voice. “I’m right here. I’m fine. I’m sitting at the top of the steps. Grant, are you okay?”

“I’m fine.” He cursed again when another shot rang out. “You just stay the hell where you are.”

  Where were Quinn and Barrett?

Mason cursed again. “Didn’t Quinn tell you to stay on the floor by the bed?”

  Kendra blinked.

Quinn ran out of the room and apparently didn’t have long to say anything. The thought that he’d used that precious time to tell the others where she was stunned her.

“You can’t just expect me to sit there while you’re all getting shot at! Where the hell are Barrett and Quinn?” She jolted as another shot rang out, this one shattering another window downstairs. “Grant? Mason?”

“I’m fine.” The fury in Grant’s tone stunned her. “It came from the front. Mace?”

“I’m good. He missed. Looks like they’re taking off. Damn it. I think we only got one of them.”

Tense and shaking with fear for Quinn and Barrett, Kendra started down the steps, the air colder with every step she took.

Or maybe the cold came from within her.

Using both hands on the railing, she went down another step, and then another, shaking so badly, she was afraid she would fall. She couldn’t seem to feel her knees. “Mason? Grant? Are you sure you’re all right?”

  Please, God.

Mason’s voice, slightly muffled, came from near the front door. “We’re fine, Kendra. I promise. Don’t come down here. There’s glass all over. Stay right there on the steps where you’re safe.”

Gripping the railing, Kendra lowered herself to the step, sitting about halfway down
the staircase. Nearly choking with fear, she had to clear her throat to be heard. “Where’s Barrett? Where’s Quinn? Can you see them? Are they hurt? Did anybody get hurt?”

  This was all her fault.

If anyone from the ranch had been hurt, she would blame herself.

“Tell me, damn it! Where are they?”

  * * * *

Grant cursed at the panic in Kendra’s voice. Not knowing how she would react, he motioned to one of the ranch hands to stand guard at the door, setting his revolver on the washing machine before rushing toward her.

Racing from the mudroom, he ran through the family room to the stairs, glass crunching under his boots and glittering in the light coming from the kitchen.

Waving a hand in Mason’s direction, Grant raced for the stairs. “I’ve got her.”

Still looking through the scope on his rifle, Mason nodded, his expression grim. “She sounds almost hysterical.”

“Where are they?” Her desperate wail tore at his heart.

Taking the steps two at a time, Grant went to her, his stomach knotting to see her so broken and scared, both of her small hands wrapped around the railing and gripping it like a lifeline.

Her eyes seemed too big—dark against her pale face. When they lifted to his, the shimmer of tears in them broke his heart. “Are you hurt? Let me see.” Her hands moved over his chest and arms frantically, as if she was looking for blood.

Grant’s heart melted, her obvious fear for him warming the last chips of ice around his heart. “Oh, baby.”

Sitting on the step next to her, he gathered her close, alarmed by how badly she shook. Running his hands over her, he checked for injuries, checking the white socks for any sign of blood. Seeing none, he wrapped his arms around her again, amused that she was still checking him. Murmuring to her, he pulled her on to his lap, his heart wrenching when a sob escaped. “I’m not hurt at all. Not even a scratch. I swear.”

Her face, so white he feared she might faint, pressed against his throat. “It’s all my fault. Please. Quinn and Barrett are out there hurt somewhere. Please. It’s cold. Where’s Mason? I heard his voice, but I want to see him.” Stiffening, she struggled against his hold. “He’s hurt, isn’t he? That’s why he’s not here.”
