  A Letter from Liz

Hello – thank you so much for reading Annie’s Summer by the Sea and I really hope you enjoyed it. Writing about Annie in Salt Bay has been wonderful and I felt rather tearful when it came to typing ‘The End’. This book is the last of Annie’s adventures but I like to imagine that village life goes on, the choir carries on singing, and Annie and Josh will spend many happy decades together in their gorgeous Cornish house by the ocean.

If you want to be the first to know when my next book is published, please sign up to my mailing list. Your email address will never be shared and you can unsubscribe at any time.

If you enjoyed Annie’s Summer by the Sea, can I ask a favour? I’d love it if you’d write a review, not just because a positive review makes this author’s day (though it does) but because reviews encourage new readers to give my books a try. And do get in touch if you’d like to say hello – my new website and blog are now up and running, and I’m slowly getting my head round social media and can be found on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

If this is your first Salt Bay book, you might like to know there are two more – Annie’s Holiday by the Sea and Annie’s Christmas by the Sea. These tell how Annie and Josh first met (Josh’s Mini got dented in the process), how new life was breathed into Salt Bay Choral Society, and how Annie reacted when Barry and Storm turned up on her doorstep out of the blue (clue: it was a bit of a shock).

Right now, I’m working on my next book, set in the beautiful Cotswolds, which is an area I know well because my family have lived there for generations.

Until we’re next in touch, I wish you many happy hours of reading fabulous books!

  Acknowledgements

Huge thanks, as always, to Bookouture without whom I would still be an aspiring author with only dreams of being published. I feel incredibly fortunate to have the backing of such a talented team. Particular thanks to Abigail Fenton for being so endlessly encouraging, patient and wise – in short, everything I could wish for in an editor. Abi, along with Emily Ruston, provided loads of astute advice while this book was being written and I’m so glad to have them in my corner. Thanks also to publicity maestros Kim Nash and Noelle Holten, who look after their authors with such a passion.

My family and friends are awesome. After putting up with me banging on for years about wanting to write a book, they’ve been delighted for me and fabulously supportive since my dream came true. Thank you to all of them and also to the wonderful readers and book bloggers who have helped make the last year a very special one.

Finally, a special mention to my lovely husband, Tim, who talks me down when I get to the ‘this book will never get written’ stage, and to Cornwall for being an endless source of inspiration and such a wild and beautiful place.
