Callie's Blood Mates [Blood Exchange 2] (Siren Publishing Ménage Everlasting) Page 3

As she released the hold she had on her breasts, she groaned with frustration and pushed her panties over her hips and down her legs. After kicking them away she walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower. Washing herself was a new experience. Everywhere the sponge touched came alive with arousal, a lust so prevalent she felt like her whole body was going up in flames. She’d never felt anything like it in her life, and no matter how hard she tried to push the fire burning inside her away down deep, it was too painful to ignore. After she finished washing her body, her hands moved almost of their own volition back to her breasts and throbbing nipples. She pinched them hard between her fingers and thumbs and cried out when the answering throb in her pussy sent her internal muscles clenching and more cream dripped from within.

One hand released one breast and made the slow, erotic glide down over her torso and belly to the neatly trimmed thatch of hair on her mound. She gasped and closed her eyes as her fingers skimming through her pubic hair teased and tantalized her senses, and all the while in her mind she envisaged those two tall, muscular men. One with dark hair and a couple of inches taller. The other with lighter hair and even though slightly more muscular, they both had physiques any woman would salivate over.

The thought of them watching her as she imagined them in her mind only ramped up her arousal even more, and she lightly grazed the tip of a finger over her swollen clit. Even though it felt wonderful and made her body shake it still wasn’t enough. Callie applied more pressure to the engorged nub and sobbed as she ached deep inside, felt like it rose up to consume her, but still it wasn’t enough to appease the desire raging inside.

She released her other breast and began to rub over her clit harder and faster as she inserted a finger into her pussy as far as it would go. Her breath left her lungs and mouth in a large exhalation, but the hunger was all consuming and even though having a finger moving in and out of her wet dripping cunt helped a little, she still needed more. She leaned against the tile wall of the shower, but her legs were trembling so bad with arousal, her knees buckled. She finally gave in to slide down all the way to the base of the shower and landed on her ass. She was sobbing almost constantly now, and the yearning was so great she didn’t know for how much longer she could bear it. She bent her knees, planting her feet on the base, spread her legs, and plunged two fingers deep.

A cry escaped her mouth and she rubbed over her aching pearl as she imagined Dex and Vlad cupping her breasts and squeezing her nipples, just before imagined heat enveloped both tips, as if they were being sucked into their mouths. She pumped her fingers in and out of her pussy, fast, hard, and deep, her stomach muscles quivering and jumping with each press forward, the tips of her fingers gliding along the walls of her pussy, building the friction and hunger to a phenomenal level. Her legs shook, and the tension inside her began to build until she was right on the verge of something she’d never experienced before. Heat pooled in her womb and spread out, making her blood feel thick and hot. And then her mind did something so totally unexpected, so totally carnally erotic it sent her up over the edge into euphoria.

There was such an air of mystery about them, they put her in mind of the wax Count Dracula, and she imagined both Vlad and Dexter sinking their teeth into her breasts and drawing her life essence from her body to take into theirs. She screamed softly as she climaxed, her pussy muscles clamping down on her still moving fingers, only to release for a moment in time and to squeeze down hard again. All the while she rode the waves of rapture, the imagined Dex and Vlad drank from her breasts, their tongues lapping and laving over the distended peaks, which enhanced her orgasm until finally the last wave of pleasure subsided and she eased her fingers from her vagina. Callie sat in the bottom of the shower like a melted puddle of water, a pile so supine that she felt like she had no substance left. No muscles to use to get up off the floor and no energy to move even if she wanted to.

Finally, when the water began to cool, she pushed to her hands and knees, stood up, turned the water off, and stepped out onto the bathmat to dry off. All the while she readied for bed, she wondered why the hell she hadn’t let Vladimir and Dexter walk her home. And why her vivid imagination had likened them to a vampire.

  Chapter Three

Dex shifted in the armchair he was sitting in, trying to relieve the stranglehold his jeans had on his hard cock, and it took everything in him not to moan when the denim rubbing over his erection only seemed to compound the problem even more. He glanced over at Vlad and saw that he, too, was moving with discomfort, and when his friend looked up to meet his gaze they both started smiling, and then to Dex’s astonishment they both burst out laughing.

The laughter coming from both of them wasn’t humor so much at their almost unbearable predicament, but more for the sheer joy of having a mate who, unbeknownst to her, had been projecting her thoughts, wants, and desires as she thought of them while she relieved her sexual hunger. He and Vlad had been unable to break the connection with her—not that either of them had wanted to—as she imagined them touching her and making love with her. It had been impossible not to compound her imagination, and since they were more like brothers than friends, each of them had sent her the image of them feeding from those small, perky, yet surprisingly lush breasts. Dex took a deep breath and finally got his emotions under control as he asked the question that had been niggling in his mind since the moment she had reached out to them.

“How can the bond be so strong when we haven’t even taken any of her blood yet?”

“Other than her being our mate, I don’t know,” Vlad answered and turned his gaze to the fire burning in the hearth, before turning to meet his gaze once more. “Do you know how long it has been since I’ve felt such joy, since I’ve felt the desire to laugh?”

“About a hundred years.” Dex sighed and pushed his fingers through his hair. It was probably much longer than that, but since it was so hard to remember he really had no clue what the answer really was and had plucked the number from the air.

“More like two hundred,” Vlad said. “We need to see her again.”

“That we do, but she’s a little skittish. How the hell are we going to keep the knowledge of our mate from the dark wizard?”

“Really? That’s all you can think of?”

“No.” Dex sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. “I know what you’re thinking.”

Vlad raised his eyebrow at him in query.

“You’re wondering how we’re going to get our mate to accept being with two vampires when she has no idea that we exist.”

Vlad nodded his head and frowned. “So how do we go about that?”

“We woo her first,” Dex said. “We get her to date us, and hopefully when we get her into our bed the rest will come.”

“You don’t really believe she’ll accept us so easily do you?”

“No.” Again Dex sighed and scrubbed a hand over his face. “If tonight’s little episode is anything to go by, she’s drawn to us.”

“There is that,” Vlad said with a smile.

“I think we should show up wherever she is as much as possible so that she can get used to us.”

“You want to go to the gallery each night?” Vlad asked.

“Yes, but we won’t show ourselves every time. We can meet her in the street, a happenstance of coincidence, and maybe she’ll let us walk her home. We can talk with her and get to know her and her us.”

“We’ll probably be putting her in danger. If Pike realizes we’ve found our mate he’ll come after her.”

“Yeah.” Dex pushed to his feet and began pacing. “Damn it! How the hell are we going to protect her during the daylight hours? You and I both know we can’t be with her then.”

“We could hire some bodyguards,” Vlad suggested. “She doesn’t have to know that they are dogging her steps to keep her safe.”

Dexter spun around to face Vlad. “And what if she sees them? What if she gets scared at being followed?”

“Are you willing to take the chance of her being in danger?” Vlad asked. “Wouldn’t you rather she be frightened of being followed rather than being kidnapped by Pike or his cronies and used for their own nefarious goals?”

  “Fuck!”

“I see you understand. If Pike gets hold of her he could end up raping her before he cuts her open and drinks her blood and kills her. Where would that leave us?”

“We’d be a danger to everyone around us.”

“Yes, we would,” Vlad said. “So do you agree to bodyguards? We can have her followed from the moment she leaves her house until we are able to be with her.”

  “Agreed,” Dex said.

Dex removed his cell phone from his pocket and after searching for a number already programmed into his phone he pushed the call button.

“You already knew who you were going to call?” Vlad asked.

  “Yes. Remember the Prime brothers?”

  “Thad, Theo, and Thurman?”

“Yes. They own a security company and have very loyal humans running it.” Dexter held up his finger. “Thad, I need your help…”

  * * * *

Callie felt happy as she walked along the street in the warm spring air on her way to work. Last night she had slept like a log, and after her amazing self-induced orgasm she was relaxed and full of joy. She listened to the birds singing and couldn’t seem to wipe the smile from her face. Not that she really wanted to. She sighed with excitement as Vlad and Dex crossed her mind for about the fiftieth time since she had opened her eyes. There was something a little strange about those two men, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. Although they were both tall, muscular, and handsome, they just didn’t seem to fit into this time era for some reason. Seeing them dressed in jeans and T-shirts the previous evening had been a real turn-on but for some reason she pictured them being more comfortable in slacks and shirts. It was like there was something otherworldly about them, as if they had been born in another era, something old world, for want of a better word. But man were they sexy.

As she passed by the shop windows and looked at her reflection, she caught sight of two men on the opposite side of the street and they were both looking at her. Callie paused to look at a dress displayed in the window and was surprised and a little taken aback when those two muscular men stopped as well. They looked about them as if looking for something or someone, but then their eyes once more touched on her.

Callie’s heartbeat picked up speed and she kept an eye on the windows she passed as she began walking again, and when they started moving again, too, she became downright nervous. Were they following her? And if so, why? Were they up to no good?

She quickened her pace but stayed alert in case they decided to move closer to her. She glanced about and huffed a sigh of relief when she noted all the people making their way to work or the shops. If those two men followed her and tried anything, she would scream her head off and gain as much attention as she could.

Finally the museum came into view and she hurried up the steps and didn’t stop until she was safely inside. After moving off to the side of the glass doors and windows, she peeked around the edge of the window frame and saw both men leaning against the brick wall of the café across the street, and both of them were looking her way.

She ducked out of sight, hoping they hadn’t seen her peeking at them and hurried to her office just off the foyer.

“Callie, how are you this morning?” Greg, the day shift security guard, asked.

“Good.” She paused in the open doorway to her office. “How about you?”

  “Yep, I’m good.”

  “How is Heather doing?”

“She’s about ready to pop, but she’s fine.”

“I’ll bet neither of you can wait to hold your baby.”

“You have no idea.” Greg swallowed audibly, and Callie could see a glint of moisture in his eyes as if he was overwhelmed with emotion.

“Can you do me a favor, Greg?”

  “Sure, if I can.”

“There are two big burly men standing across the road. I think they followed me to work. Can you keep an eye on them?”

Greg turned toward the windows with a scowl on his face, but Callie placed a hand on his arm to stop him.

“I don’t want to make it obvious that I know they are there.”

“Have you ever seen them before?”

  “No.”

“Damn, why don’t you let me call the police?”

“What are the cops going to do, Greg? They haven’t done anything wrong.”

“But they could,” Greg said, voicing Callie’s worries.

“Yes, but until they do, there is nothing the police can do.”

Greg patted her shoulder. “I’ll keep an eye on them, and if they’re still there by the time you’re ready to head out, I’ll drive you home. Heather would have my guts tied into knots if something happened to you and I could have prevented it.”

“Thank you, Greg. I appreciate that, but for now I’d better get to work.”

Callie spent most of the day in her office, going over paperwork and requests for tour groups being organized by the local schools. By the time the end of the day neared, her head was spinning.

As she was about ready to save her work and shut down her computer, Greg knocked on her door and poked his head in. “Callie, a Mr. Goldberg is here to see you. Do you want me to send him in?”

Callie sighed with resignation and smiled wryly at Greg. “Why is it that most people wait till the end of the day to drop in?”

Greg smiled back and then glanced over his shoulder before meeting her gaze again. “Did this dude have an appointment?”

  “No.”

“Do you want me to send him away? I can get him to set up an appointment to see you some other time.”

“No. Thanks anyway, Greg, but I have nothing pressing to get home to.”

“Okay. Oh, by the way, those guys left and I haven’t seen them since.”

“Thank God for that. I was getting a little paranoid.”

“Don’t worry about it. You can’t be too careful in this day and age.”

  “That’s for sure.”

“I’ll send Mr. Goldberg in.” Greg waved and left.

Moments later a man dressed immaculately in a designer suit knocked on the doorframe to her office. Callie rose to her feet and walked around her desk to greet him. “Mr. Goldberg?”

“Yes, and you must be Calista Morgan.”

Callie took his offered hand and shook it. As their skin connected, a shiver of trepidation raced up her spine. When he released her hand, it took every bit of her control to not wipe her palm on the outside of her skirt.

“Yes.” Callie stepped back and indicated the seat across from her desk before she moved around it and took her own chair. “How can I help you, Mr. Goldberg?”

“I wanted to know who made the wax vampire you have on display.”

His eyes ran over her body, but then his gaze seemed to hone in on her neck and shoulders. She was glad that her shirt had a collar and she’d only left the top two buttons undone. She felt really exposed as his eyes wandered over her skin, and when he inhaled she felt like he was sniffing her and that really creeped her out.

“Um, I’m not sure, but I can find out for you. Why do you want to know?”

“I’ve always been fascinated with mythology such as vampires. I believe that there is never any smoke without fire. Don’t you, Ms. Morgan?”

Callie frowned and wondered whether Mr. Goldberg had a screw loose. “Um…I suppose so.”

“You don’t believe in legends and myths, Ms. Morgan?”

“I’ve never really thought about it, Mr. Goldberg.”

  “Oh please, call me…William.”

Callie ignored him as she searched through the museum archives trying to find the information he wanted, but after the hesitation over his name, she knew he was lying to her. Probably about his surname, too. How can I know that
? How can I know that he’s lying to me? But she did.

For some reason she felt like she was in danger and wanted this man out of her office and sight as quickly as possible. When she found what she was looking for, she wrote the information down on a piece of paper and handed it over to him. Instead of taking the note out of her hand, his fingers closed around hers, holding them firmly. She felt what she could only describe as energy shooting up her hand and then all over her body, and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. It was almost painful but she fought to keep her expression blank. She had a feeling that this man was reading her every thought, her every memory as he held her fingers. She tugged her hand away and exhaled with relief as that hair-raising feeling left now that he was no longer touching her.

“Have dinner with me,” he stated.

  “Thank you. No.”

  “You have other plans?”

Callie cleared her throat and looked away as she lied. “Yes, I do.”

  “Pity, you’re a stunning woman.”

She felt like that was an accusation of contempt and not a compliment and couldn’t wait until he left. She stood up and gestured toward the door. “If that’s all, Mr. Goldberg, I need to leave.”

“Certainly. I’m sure we’ll see one another again real soon.”

Goose bumps rose up all over Callie’s skin as she watched him walk away. There was something really strange about that man, and she didn’t want to ever encounter him again.

Another shiver wracked her spine, but she pushed her disconcertedness away and saved her files before shutting down her computer. She was never more thankful that Greg had offered to give her a lift home tonight, but then she remembered that he said he would drive her if those two other men were still outside. She grabbed her purse and keys and hoped that Greg hadn’t taken off without her. Mr. Goldberg’s visit had delayed her, and she still needed to turn off all the lights. When she emerged from her office and saw that Greg had left, dread filled her stomach, but she was pleased to see that Brent had arrived for his shift.
