But then the delight increased even more when the tip of one of his fingers pushed into her cunt. The cry that left her mouth was subdued when Dexter covered her mouth with his and kissed her rapaciously.

Even though she tried to quell the pleasure traversing deep within her body, she didn’t stand a chance. Vlad and Dexter were way more experienced than she could ever be and they played her body like an instrument they had practiced with for years. Warmth gathered in her womb and it became heavy and achy with hunger and need.

Vlad slowly pressed his finger into her pussy all the way and then just as slowly eased it out. She sobbed and gasped, the sounds now loud in the otherwise quiet room as Dex lifted his mouth from hers. Dex once more started sucking on one of her nipples strongly to the point of pain, but it didn’t hurt, not really. His suckling mouth and laving tongue sent the heat soaring higher and higher.

All breath gone, she could only mew—a sound she’d never heard from her own mouth before—when Vlad started pushing two fingers into her cunt, stretching her delicate wet tissue. The friction of his fingers sliding into her was astounding, yet she knew there was more to come.

When his fingers were buried inside her all the way he held them still for a moment, and then he eased them back out ever so slowly. Every nerve ending inside her sheath came alive, sparking electricity out from her pussy to her entire body. The next time he stroked his fingers into her was fast, hard, and deep.

Callie shivered, goose bumps forming all over her skin, and she writhed beneath the exquisite pleasure they were creating in her. She’d had no idea such rapture existed—what she was feeling didn’t compare in the least with SOL and her own imagination—and even though she was reaching toward a peak so phenomenal it was almost scary, reach for it she did.

Her mouth opened on a gasp, her lungs filling with oxygen, and even though she tried to cry out at the sensations pouring over and through her, no sound came out. Vlad’s fingers were pumping in and out of her quickly, the friction so intense her voice wouldn’t work. And then she was right on the edge of the heavens, seeming to hover there for an indiscernible amount of time, and then she was falling.

Her whole body tautened, gathered, and then broke. The muscles in her pussy clenched on Vlad’s fingers, released, and clenched again. She shook and shuddered as cream wept from her cunt in a fiery culmination of bliss she’d never felt before. The way Dex was scraping his teeth over one nipple and pinching and squeezing the other heightened her rapture, as did the way Vlad was sucking on her clit. By the time the last contraction faded she was so satiated she didn’t think she would ever be able to move again. Her muscles, which had been so taut, now felt weak and rubbery and out of her control.

When she floated back down from such a euphoric high, the only sound she could hear was the snap, crackle, and pop of the wood burning in the fire and the three of them breathing harshly. She whimpered with sensitivity as Vlad released her clit from his mouth and slowly eased his fingers from her sheath. Callie hadn’t even been aware that her eyes were closed until that moment, and she opened them to mere slits, aware of them both watching her intently as they ran their hands up and down her arms and legs and over her stomach and ribs. A sigh of repletion left her mouth before she could stop it, and then she forced her lids up even more.

Dex cupped her cheek and, as she stared into his beautiful heat-filled green eyes, the smile that crossed his face lit his handsome visage from within. He looked so happy, and she felt as if she could see into his soul.

“Thank you for letting us pleasure you, sweet one. You have no idea how much that meant to us.” Dex leaned over and kissed her lightly yet reverently on the lips, and even though the kiss was chaste it was so full of meaning that tears of emotion pricked the back of her eyes, and she had to lower her lids again to hide what she was feeling.

Vlad moved from between her legs and lay down on her other side with his head propped up on his arm and hand. “You are so gorgeously sexy when you come, baby. I could spend all of eternity pleasuring you.”

A tear spilled out of the corner of her eye and trickled down into her hair. Vlad bent over and he, too, placed a light yet emotion-filled kiss on her lips.

What astounded her right then was that neither of them had pushed her for sex. She’d heard other women talking and knew that a lot of men only had goals of relieving an urge and didn’t care about the consequences once they had what they wanted. That wasn’t the case with Vladimir and Dexter. They were still both fully dressed, and their whole concentration had been on her and giving her pleasure, and not once had they tried to force, cajole, or talk her into having sex with them.

In that moment, even though Callie wondered if she had made a mistake by allowing them to touch her and love her only after knowing them for such a short amount of time, she answered her own question. In her heart and soul she knew that whatever this was, wasn’t wrong. She felt like she had been waiting for these two men her whole life.

But she also wondered if she could give up everything she had been working for to be with them.

  Chapter Six

Dexter’s beast was pushing at him to claim Callie, and from the hungry look in his eyes, Vlad was having the same problem, but neither of them conceded to their inner urges. Their mate was their main priority, and the last thing they wanted to do was frighten her off with their famishment.

“You have the sexiest body I’ve ever seen,” Dex whispered before kissing her shoulder. He couldn’t stop himself from tasting her skin with his tongue, and when he swiped it over her delicate flesh he was pleased when he heard her gasp.

“Exquisite,” Vlad said and then sighed with what sounded like resignation.

Dex didn’t have to be in his blood brother’s mind to know what he was thinking. They were so a tune to each other that most of the time their thoughts were often on the same track.

“We may have put you in danger, Callie,” Dex began.

  “What? Wait! How?”

Vlad cleared his throat. “We have an enemy, baby, and we think our nemesis has somehow had someone watching us without us being aware.”

“How do you figure that?” Callie sat up and looked toward her clothes.

Dex reached out with his mind and called them to him, and when he held them in his hand he handed her the panties and bra.

“Wow, you guys are amazing.” Callie pushed to her feet, took a couple of steps away from them, and pulled her underwear on. Dex then handed her the other articles of clothes and sighed with disappointment when she was dressed once again. He loved looking at and touching her body, but he wanted their mate to feel comfortable so he kept his opinion of wanting her naked to himself.

“If you agreed to mate with us you would be able to do everything we can,” Vlad said.

Callie glanced away and then back to them. Heat rose up in her cheeks and Dexter could see she was a little uncomfortable about sharing her desire with them. He pushed to his feet and was at her side a moment later.

“Do not be ashamed of what we shared with you, sweet one. Being able to touch, kiss, and love you was the most profound moment of my life.”

Vlad moved to her other side so fast his body was a blur. He reached out and took Callie’s shoulders in his hands, kissed her on the forehead, and then pulled her into his arms. Dex moved up behind her and pressed his front to her back.

She lifted her head and met Vlad’s gaze before tilting her head back onto his chest and meeting his. “You guys are lethal, you know that?”

“You are just as lethal to us, baby.” Vlad stroked a finger down her cheek and then he and Dex guided her over to the sofa. “Would you like something to drink, Callie?”

“A cup of tea would be nice.”

Vlad waved his hand and a steaming cup of tea appeared on the coffee table right in front of Callie.

“Oh my…I wish I could do that. Life would be so much easier.” Callie reached for the mug and cradled it in her hands before smelling i
t and taking a sip. “That’s just the way I like it. Thank you.”

  “You’re welcome, mate.”

“Tell me why you think I am in danger.”

“We think that the man who came to see you, Mr. Goldberg, was none other than George Pike,” Dex began to explain.

“Pike is a dark wizard,” Vlad said. “He has formed an alliance with some of the evil vampires to try and get to our mates. That bastard wants to kidnap the mate to one of us, the good vampires, and drink her blood.”

“Let me explain a little about the blood exchange, sweet one.” Dex took one of her hands in his when she placed the cup back on the coffee table. “If we were to exchange blood with you, our mate, after that first exchange you would have part of our DNA in your system. You would heal a lot faster than a normal human, plus your senses would be…more. Your hearing, sight, strength, and health would be much better than it is now.”

“Plus you would age a lot slower than normal.” Vlad sighed and shifted around till he was facing Callie more directly. “We don’t know how or why, because we haven’t worked it out yet, but if the dark wizards drink the blood of a mate who has had at least one blood exchange, then they are able to achieve immortality.”

“And you think that’s what this man, Goldberg…Pike, or whatever his name is, wants from me?” Callie asked.

  “Yes,” Vlad answered.

“How would he even know that we know each other?”

“We think he must have had someone watching us,” Dex said.

“But wouldn’t you know if that was the case? You both have some pretty awesome super powers.”

Vlad smiled and lifted her hand to his mouth before kissing the back of it. “Thank you, baby, but we aren’t infallible. We think that Pike has some of his cronies watching us and he has somehow managed to weave a spell so that they are invisible to us.”

Callie sat up straighter and gripped Dex’s hand tighter. “I think two men followed me from my house to work. I had one of the security guards keep an eye on them, but Greg said that they were gone early afternoon before I was ready to leave work this evening. And then this afternoon I had a visit from a man that called himself Mr. Golberg but there was something about him that gave me the creeps.” She shivered and clutched his hand tighter. “I felt like he was looking at me like a piece of meat.”

“We hired those men, sweet one.” Dex stroked a hand over her head. “We wanted to make sure that you were safe.”

“Oh.” Callie released their hands, stood up, and began to pace. “I wish you’d told me. I was getting a little scared when I saw them standing outside watching the building.”

“We’re sorry, baby. We didn’t want to frighten you, but we needed to know you were protected during the day while we were sleeping.”

Callie stopped her pacing and turned to face them. “You can’t go out into the sunshine, can you?”

“No,” Dex replied. “We would end up burnt beyond recognition, but we wouldn’t die right away. We would endure endless agony but be unable to heal ourselves from such a grievous injury and would end up starving to death.”

Callie looked horrified as if she was picturing what Dex had just explained, and she covered her mouth. She dropped her hand again and took a deep breath. “That’s terrible.”

“We don’t think it’s a good idea that you go home by yourself, baby.” Vlad stood up, walked over to her, and cupped her face in both his hands. “Would you consider staying here with us? We have plenty of spare rooms. You can choose any one you want to.”

Callie bit her lower lip and glanced over at Dex, so he, too, got to his feet and moved closer to her. “Please, honey. We wouldn’t feel right if you left. Can you imagine how we would feel if Pike or one of his minions got to you and we weren’t there to save you?”

“Surely he wouldn’t…” Callie paused and sighed. “Okay.” She frowned, and Dex could practically see the cogs in her mind working. “Where do you two sleep? You don’t sleep in a coffin do you?”

Dex chuckled. “No, sweet one, we don’t sleep in coffins. We have our own rooms.”

“But what about sunlight? Don’t you have to be careful that none gets through the curtains so you don’t get burnt?”

“Haven’t you heard about window shutters?” Vlad asked with a smile.

Callie looked a little sheepish when she nodded. “So you have those on your windows as well as curtains or blinds?”

“Yes, we do, baby,” Vlad said. “We have block-out blinds and curtains on the inside and security window shutters on the outside.”

“We also have protection spells around the entire perimeter of this estate and on every door and window,” Dex explained.

“But if this guy is a wizard, surely he can just use his magic if he wants to get in here?” Callie asked.

“He can try,” Dex said. “But he would have great difficulty getting through our protection shields. If he did so without removing them, he would end up mortally injured, and that isn’t in his plans at all. Wizards can apparate, but we vampires have also just recently acquired that skill from the white witches.”

“What if he tries to get to you both while you’re sleeping? Won’t you be in grave danger?”

“He isn’t after us, sweet one. He is after you.” Dex pulled her into his arms and held her close. He loved the feel of her soft, feminine body against his hard muscles. Her scent enveloped him, and he could do nothing but inhale her sweet essence time and again. He savored her, sighing with contentment at having her pressed to him. He wanted to claim her for all time, to make the three blood exchanges so that she would be his and Vlad’s so they would be able to protect her better, but he knew she wasn’t ready for that as yet. Hopefully in the not too distant future she would be. But what worried him the most was her vulnerability during the daylight hours. Even though he had hired those men to look out for her and protect her, he wouldn’t relax until she was like them, in their world where she would be beside them for all time.

Callie drew back slightly to look into his eyes. “But what if he comes after you? He could do that in order to get to me.”

“We have been on this earth for three long centuries, baby.” Vlad shifted her braid away from her neck and kissed the skin beneath her ear. “We are extremely strong, fast, and knowledgeable. Pike will die if he comes anywhere near us. We can cause him great harm even when we are lying helpless at the sun’s zenith.”

“And what about the men you’ve hired to protect me during the day? They don’t have any magic skills do they?”

“No.” Dex released her and took a couple of steps away from her before turning back. He knew she was right, that the bodyguards he’d hired could end up getting hurt or even killed, but they were trained to deal with such people. He wasn’t so sure about their abilities in regards to the supernatural though. Pike was very dangerous and had skills he would use to apparate and dodge bullets. He could also stop a bullet in mid-air if he wished just with the wave of his hand. The only real way to keep Callie safe was to keep her locked up in their house or to change her and make her as they were.

“I won’t be responsible for those men getting hurt or even killed. I couldn’t endure to have their deaths on my conscience.”

Dex glanced at Vlad, and his blood brother looked just as worried as he felt, but he had no idea what to do. Did he ask Callie to exchange blood with them at least once so they could feel her more fully, merge their minds and souls with her, and risk having Pike come after her? Or should they ask her to complete the ritual and have her come fully into their world where she would no longer be able to go to work or walk out into the sunshine? Where she would still be in danger from Pike and his minions. No matter which way he turned it in his mind, Callie was in danger no matter what they did. But would she accept coming into their world and life for eternity? Would she end up despising them because she could no longer feel the sun on her face or work in the job she loved?

  He hated that the s
acrifice was all hers. This was the only time he cursed his lineage and his genes. If he had been human, he and Vlad wouldn’t have had to worry about any of this. But he would not give up one single moment of the last three hundred or so years. If he had been born a mortal he would be dead and would never have even met Calista Morgan. And that would have been devastating.

  * * * *

Vlad didn’t know what to do to comfort Callie. He was on the edge of her mind and could feel her horror at the thought of people getting hurt because of her. He wanted her to accept him and Dex as her mates, but he wouldn’t push her for an answer or to make a decision because he wasn’t sure what her reaction would be. He didn’t want to be without her ever but the choice had to be hers. It would be so easy to use his mind and voice into compelling her to do what he wanted her to, but he knew if he did that, took her choices away from her, that she would be lost to them and that was something he didn’t ever want to even contemplate.

His body was pumped with blood, his cock hard and aching, and all he could think about was sinking into the hot wet heat of her pussy at the same time he sank his fangs into the blood-rich veins in her neck. The longer he was with her, the harder it was to keep his beast on a leash, but he would endure anything for her, anything to give her the time she needed to choose.

She moved out from between them, headed to the sofa, and sank down into one of the cushions. “If I go back to work, someone is going to get hurt, aren’t they?”

“Not necessarily, honey,” Dex answered as he walked over and sat beside her.

Vlad followed Dex and took the cushion on her other side.

“But you can’t guarantee that, can you?” Callie sighed, grasped onto her braid, undid the band around the end, and started to unravel the twined tresses.
