“Speaking of which, you mind putting that one away. It’s a little creepy.”
“Oh yeah, sure.” Darren sat perfectly still for a moment. The creature behind him collapsed, turning to a strange liquid which vanished through the floor. “Better?”
“Better.”
“So, you ready to send the next on in?”
“I suppose,” Perrin said. “Remember we have reservations at seven.”
“What time is it now?” Darren asked.
“Well, time is meaningless in a metaphysical void, so uh…” she smiled sweetly. “Seven?”
“I’ll get my coat,” Darren said.
