Breaking Out Page 36

His reward for obedience was a kiss from Reese before he sat back on his heels between David’s spread legs. Then Mati kissed David far less sweetly, her tongue stealing into his mouth. He threaded his fingers into her hair and she bit his lip hard enough to sting.

  “Be good.”

“I am,” he gasped into her mouth, her curls slipping between his fingers.

Mati tweaked one of his nipples and he let his hands fall to the bed. She rubbed her thumb back and forth across the sore flesh, soothing it, and he had to curl his fingers into fists to resist reaching for her again.

Fucking hell, it would kill him not to touch them.

He stacked his hands under his head.

Mati smiled against his lips. “Good boy.”

David shivered as Mati pressed gentle kisses along his cheek and jaw, her lips and tongue teasing his earlobe and neck as she worked her way down his shoulders.

He nearly jumped out of his skin when Reese ran his hand along his cock. His touch was light, barely there, just fingertips and the brush of his palm over the sensitive head. David was already breathing hard, trying to keep his head on straight. They weren’t making it easy. He felt like he was floating above the bed, their touch his only anchor.

He heard the click of a cap and his heart went from a run to a sprint. Mati licked her way across his pecs and down over his sternum, blocking his view of what Reese was doing.

He practically sighed with relief when cool fingers rubbed behind his balls. He bent one leg to bring his knee up and out and spread the other as far as he could without kicking Mati, opening himself up for Reese.

A single slick finger circled his hole and pressed in.

David arched into it, sinking down on Reese’s finger. He flexed his hips in the other direction, and Mati sucked his cock into her hot, wet mouth.

David threw his head back. “Fuck!”

Reese did, dragging his finger in and out. Mati swirled her tongue, rubbing back and forth across the divot beneath the head of David’s cock. He shuddered so hard he almost dislodged them both, but they caught him, Reese steadying his bent knee while Mati curled a hand around his thigh and placed the other on his belly.

“We’ve got you,” Reese murmured, tucking a second finger in with the first and thrusting deeper.

David let his eyes slide closed, feeling the stretch as Reese scissored his fingers and the warm, wet heat as Mati dragged her tongue down his shaft. He’d had all these thoughts about what they’d needed, what he could do for them, but it was hard to remember as he floated in the sensations they teased from his body.

His balls felt heavy, his cock leaking onto Mati’s tongue. It wasn’t going to take much to push him over.

Reese’s third finger didn’t help. David groaned, beyond intelligible speech. Reese thrust deep, his fingertips glancing over David’s prostate. David yanked a hand from behind his head and threaded it through Mati’s hair.

His cock slipped from her lips. “You okay?”

David’s huff of laughter was wounded. Reese wasn’t fooling around. David had to wet his lips, twice, to manage actual words.

“If you keep going, I’m going to come.”

“That’s sort of the point,” Mati said with a wink.

“Okay,” David sighed. “I just wanted to make sure you didn’t have other plans I’d be ruining.”

Reese’s fingers spread particularly wide and David’s eyes fluttered shut, the stretch of muscles delicious until Reese’s fingers were suddenly gone.

David blinked his eyes open to find Mati and Reese hovered above him.

“Still trying to take care of us,” Reese observed.

Mati ran her fingers through David’s hair. His nervous system was so amped up, he could feel her nails scratch over each follicle. “It’s like he can’t help himself,” she agreed.

“I don’t want to,” he said. Mati looked confused, so he clarified. “Help myself, that is.”

“Oh,” she said, scratching her nails through his hair again. “Well, that’s good.”

Reese drew his fist up David’s cock, making him gasp. At some point, Reese had coated his hand with lube and let it sit long enough to warm it.

David was painfully hard, the veins standing out and the head almost purple.

Mati touched his cheek, capturing his attention. He dragged his eyes over her, enjoying the flush on her cheeks and across her chest, and the damp spot on the little triangle of satin between her legs. He cupped his hand there, rubbing her clit with his thumb.

She let out a needy sound that went straight to his cock.

Reese playfully smacked his thigh. “You are so distracting.”

  “Sorry?” David tried.

“You’re really not,” Reese said, smiling at Mati’s flushed, vague-eyed face. He tapped David again, gently. “Roll over.”

David paused his escalating torture of Mati and flipped. As soon as his knees hit the bed, Reese’s hand was on his ass, rubbing from his thigh to his waist. As it continued up his spine, two fingers slipped back into his ass.

David gasped, his face tipped up, arms shaking. He shoved back, fucking himself on Reese’s fingers.

“I’m going to come,” he groaned regretfully.

Reese’s fingers stopped moving. “Not yet.”

“I’m not sure I can control it,” David admitted with a half laugh.

“Here, I’ll distract you,” Mati said. She promptly stripped off her panties off and chucked them across the room with a flourish.

Reese laughed, but David was too busy reaching for her. He hooked his arm around her hips and dragged her closer. She tried to help but fell back onto the bed with a breathless laugh that cut off when David sealed his lips over her clit and sucked.

Mati writhed on the bed. “Fuck.”

David hummed his agreement, and she quivered against him.

Reese slipped in that damn third finger again and spread David open.

David moaned, barely able to catch his breath as he sucked in quick, hard pulses. He tried to focus on Mati’s taste, her slick, soft skin against his lips, the tug of her fingers in his hair, but Reese was taking him apart so effectively, so efficiently, that David didn’t think he was doing as good a job as he should.

Mati cried out his name, panting, her legs restless around his head. She scrabbled with one arm until she could stuff pillows beneath her head, propping herself up to watch Reese work and stare at David’s ass.

Reese spread his fingers and squirted a healthy—perhaps excessive—amount of lube into David.

David sped up the timing of his pulses and she squirmed against his face. He slipped two fingers into her and rubbed, quick and hard. Three quick, increasingly desperate “ahs” burst from her, each louder and higher, and she came, shaking against him. He dragged it out until she collapsed against the bed with a long sigh.

Reese’s fingers disappeared, leaving David feeling open. Ready. And just a little nervous.

He looked at Mati, and she stared back. He’d done this before. Hell, Mati had fucked him the other night. But this was still big.

It was Reese. It was the three of them.

Mati scratched her fingers over his scalp. “Ready?”

He nodded and Reese nudged closer, his cock pushing against David’s tight muscles. Reese had loosened him up, but it was still a lot. It was all a fucking lot.

Gentle hands soothed him, running over his back, face, shoulders, and hips. He took a deep breath through his nose and let it out slowly, arching his back as he relaxed, his face pressed to Mati’s thigh.

Reese’s cock slipped into him and he clamped down around it.

Reese made a pained noise, but his hands never stopped soothing. “Fuck, you’re so tight.”

David nodded, his mouth open on the silky skin at the top of Mati’s leg, her scent filling his head.

Reese thrust forward and back, gently rocking deeper into David. Soon Reese was bottoming out, as far as he could go,
but he didn’t pause, pulling back out again until the crown tugged at David’s stretched rim, sending bolts of ecstasy through his entire body.

Each stroke was perfect, silky smooth and harder, faster than the last. David was lost. A tiny corner of his brain said he should be doing something, taking care of Mati in some way. He opened his mouth to say something, but she shushed him, carding her fingers through his hair and telling him how beautiful he was.

His cock hung heavy between his legs, swinging to tap against his belly, but otherwise untouched. His balls were drawn up tight like the spring coiled in his gut, waiting to let go.

He felt almost afraid of what might happen next. What words he might speak or promises he might beg for.

Then he heard Reese’s quiet chant. “You’re ours, David. Ours.”

David squeezed his eye shut, pressing his face harder to Mati’s thigh. She shushed him again, each powerful rock of his body brushing her hand through his hair and over his face.

“It’s okay, baby. We’ve got you.”

“You take such good care of us. Such good care with us,” Reese said.

Mati cupped his cheek. “Let us take care of you.”

David’s orgasm washed over him, gentle for all that it ripped his heart out and laid it at their feet.

  Chapter Thirty-Three

David pulled up in front of Mati’s parents’ house and put the car in park.

No one said anything. David suppressed the urge to fidget, which wasn’t like him at all. He hadn’t really felt like himself all day. Not in a bad way. Just…different.

He wasn’t going to go back to Boston and pretend it wouldn’t crush him.

He wasn’t going to go back to Boston at all, if there was a way for him to stay. If they wanted him to. He just didn’t know how to ask. How to even approach it.

“Are you ready for this?” Reese asked.

David almost answered God, yes, please, before Mati said, “Yes.”

She sounded confident. David couldn’t help but smile as she climbed from the car with a large blue binder in her arms. She was back in one of her suits, which he supposed was meant to be conservative, but all David saw were her curves and her sexy glasses and the crazy-high heels he wanted to pluck off so he could massage her calves and suck on her toes.

Which was maybe not the best train of thought to be having while they walked up her parents’ front steps.

“How the hell did you look at her like this every day and not lose your damn mind?” David muttered to Reese.

Reese was laughing, Mati giving them both the stink eye, when the door opened.

“What the hell, Tilly? What’s with all the drama?”

David had no idea which member of Mati’s family this asshole was, but it took an effort not to punch him in the face.

“Good morning, Stephen,” Mati said with steel in her voice. “Please stop being rude and let us in.”

“What’s with calling us all together like this at the last minute? Some of us have a company to run. And who are these guys?” He gestured at Reese and David. “I thought this was a family meeting.”

Mati brushed past her brother. “It is. Come into the living room and I’ll do introductions.”

David tried not to read too much into that.

He and Reese followed Mati into the small living room at the front of the house and flanked her. Neither spoke until she finished introducing them to her family. They all looked astonished to be meeting Reese.

“It’s nice to meet you,” David murmured as he shook everyone’s hands. Reese, likewise, made his way around the room, pausing when Mati’s father wouldn’t let go of his hand.

“Thank you for taking such good care of our Tilly.”

Reese blinked in surprise. “I—it’s the quite opposite, actually, she—”

“She’s always been strong-minded, and we worried when she insisted on getting that job, but—”

Reese tugged his hand from Mati’s father’s grasp. “I assure you, sir, the fortune has been entirely mine.” He returned to Mati, smiling until the look of horror melted away and she rolled her eyes.

It wasn’t as if she hadn’t warned them. David resigned himself to suppressing the urge to punch someone for the length of their visit.

Reese took Mati’s coat, like a squire preparing his knight for battle. “You’ve got this,” he whispered.

  Mati nodded.

Reese touched David’s elbow and led him to the loveseat on the far side of the room.

Mati’s mother began to rise. “No, Mr. Lamont, you should—”

“Sit, Ma,” Mati said firmly. Her mother did. Mati looked at her brothers. “You, too.”

Stephen frowned. “Matilda, I don’t know what you think you’re doing, but—”

  “Sit.”

Her brothers sat on the couch on either side of their parents.

Reese leaned into David, hiding his smile from the room.

  “Just watch,” he whispered.

Mati looked over her family and reminded herself that losing her temper would not help. This was business, no matter how mental these people made her. She knew exactly what needed to be done.

  She glanced back at Reese.

He winked at her and sat back on the couch as if he hadn’t a care in the world, his confidence in her absolute.

David looked like he was considering punching Stephen in the face.

Mati turned back to her family, put her binder down on the table, and pulled an envelope from the front pocket. “Before we get down to business,” she said, handing her mother the envelope, “this is for you.”

Her mother opened it, unfolding the documents within. “What is this?”

“That’s the deed to this house. You own it in full. I’ve paid off both mortgages.”

  “What?” her father roared.

“I put the house in your name only, Mom, which I will explain the reason for in a minute. But the important thing is you’re not moving anywhere. The house is yours forever, okay?”

Her mom scanned the documents before looking up with tears in her eyes. “Thank you.”

“Tilly, what have you done?” her father demanded.

“Saved your ass, Dad. And you’re welcome.”

Her father’s complexion turned a mottled red, which probably wasn’t healthy for a man his age. He was never going to like what she’d done, but it was still the right thing to do.

Mati noticed her brother eyeing the paperwork in their mother’s hands speculatively. “No, Stephen, you can’t sell this house out from under our parents, again, to save the company. Now that it’s in Mom’s name, no bank can take it as collateral for more loans without her—and only her—permission.”

Stephen shot to his feet. “You have no right—”

“Actually,” Mati said, cutting him off, “I have every right.” She opened the binder and threw another packet at her brother.

  “What’s this?”

“The bank was about to seize the company.”

“We’re going to work it out,” Mikey said desperately.

“No, you aren’t. Or you weren’t. The bank had already put out feelers to your competitors to see if anyone wanted to pay off your debt to take over the company. You were going to go under, and take Mom and Dad with you.”

Mati’s father collapsed against the back on the couch. He knew she was right. Not for the first time that week, or even the hundredth, Mati wanted to strangle her brothers.

“We can borrow from another bank,” Stephen claimed with a sniff.

Mati laughed, an actual full-on hoot of amusement. “No one was going to lend you another dime.”

Stephen looked furious. Mikey looked lost.

“Anyway,” Mati said, “the point is now moot. The bank no longer holds your debt.”

“What?” Mikey asked, bewildered. “Then who holds it?”

  “I do.”

This was met with the most complete silence this house had ever held. />
Stephen slowly sat back on the couch and slumped next to their father. They both looked stunned.

Mikey, however, leaned forward, which Mati chose to believe was a good sign. And her mother appeared to be trying very hard not to smile.

“Stephen, that envelope has all the paperwork. The bank was only too happy to be rid of you. They’ve even offered me a line of credit, which we may or may not use judiciously to get Viveiros Produce back on track.”

  “Viveiros and—”

“No, Dad,” Mati said before he could finish. “I get that’s what you wanted, but the boys blew it and I’m fixing it. That’s going to come at a cost to each of you. For you, Dad, it’s the end of Viveiros and Sons. It’s Viveiros Produce, now.”

Her father nodded slowly, which was better than she’d dared to hope.

“Also, Frankie is out. Today. This morning, if you can manage it,” she added.

  “But—”

“No,” Mati snapped. “If I have to explain to you why hiring the man who shamed and stalked me was an incredibly uncool thing to do, then I will, but in the meantime, he’s gone, and one of you two jokers”—she pointed between her brothers—“is going to do it. Understood?”

  “Yes,” Mikey said.

Stephen shook his head. “But we need a driver for that route tomorrow.”

“One of you can take it until we hire someone new, preferably someone without a criminal distaste for women, if you don’t mind.”

Stephen frowned. “We already have full plates.”

“Your plates are going to change, at least in the short term. As of this week, Reese and I will be doing a complete audit of the books, and I will be taking over bookkeeping, payroll, and all management decisions. That should free up some time for you both.”

“So, you two are going to come in and take over the whole company?” Stephen snapped.

Mati glared at her brother. “There is no ‘you two’. It’s just me. And at first? Yes. Until we can figure out where you two went wrong. Dad ran a thriving business for thirty years, and you downed it in less than five. Until we get back to the thriving part, and replenish Mom and Dad’s savings, I’m going to be involved in all decisions. But let me be clear, I have zero desire to run a produce business, let alone this one. I’ll retain fifty-one percent ownership, and the oversight and profits that go with that, but you two will go back to being in charge, and if you don’t screw it up, you won’t hear much from me. I already have a job, one I love and have no intention of giving up.”
