The Ancestors: A Tale form Outside Time & Space Page 23

by Wm. Barnard

  Dear Faithful Readers,

I have been under tremendous stress in these last couple of weeks due to the calamities around the world. My heart has been torn from the loss of loved ones and I must confess I’ve turned to drinking alcohol and taking pills in attempts to numb the pain. As many of you know, I have even been desperate enough to believe biblical myths while searching for some meaning of it all, but I now realize I was fooling myself. Nothing seems to alleviate the deep anguish within me, so I have decided to just go to sleep now and find the rest my soul longs for.

  Sincerely,

  Zach

Posting the letter onto the webzine, Bill left the computer on and again removed the rubber gloves. With the garbage bag in hand, he grabbed his umbrella before heading out to his truck where he stashed the bag into a plastic bucket in the bed of his pickup. After driving a couple miles down the road, he pulled behind a gas station and tossed the bucket into a dumpster while pressing his cell phone against his shoulder.

  “Master, it’s finished,” Bill said.

The deep, German accent on the other line sounded satisfied, replying “Excellent. Well done, my loyal servant. Well done.”

  ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

I AM THANKFUL FOR THE countless people who have crossed my path during this long journey, offering me feedback and continued support. Special thanks goes to Jennifer Allen, Chris Ahrens, Ashley Ludwig, Susannah Nelson, Anita Palmer and Brett Burner for their advice and guidance. I would also like to acknowledge Chuck Missler and Dr. Mark Eastman who helped inspire this story with their book Alien Encounters.

And all thanks goes to My Father in Heaven, who blesses me despite myself and loves me even though He really knows me.
