Katrina knew there was no way that Queenie would open up to a newbie, and Katrina had never seen Queenie look so glum before.

Katrina gently approached Queenie. “Staci is going to grab us some drinks. Is everything okay? You look really upset.”

Queenie sighed as her shoulders sagged. She looked at Katrina with tears in her eyes. “God, I feel stupid. I can't believe I’m tearing up at a women's sex club.” Queenie chewed her bottom lip. “It-it's Tyra and Candy. Well, more so, Tyra. You know that we hooked up, Yeah?”

Katrina shrugged, ignorant of that fact. “No, I had no idea. I thought Tyra and Candy were a couple.” Queenie nodded. “I guess they are now, but Tyra failed to mention that fact while I was eating her pussy two weeks ago.”

Queenie bitterly laughed, “It's all good when I’m giving out attention and affection, but as soon as my feelings get involved, it's a problem.” Queenie let out a heavy exhale. “I am not as tough as I look, Katrina. I know I give off that impression, but deep down, I’m a softie, and I want to love just as much as everyone else, you know?”

Katrina felt bad for Queenie. The statuesque vixen had suddenly fallen from grace, and Katrina felt oddly protective of her. Queenie started to stroll into the dungeon, and to console her, Katrina followed behind.

Queenie made her way towards the St. Angela Cross and studied the structure. Katrina looked around the room and noticed a couple snuggling together in the sex swing; one was fully nude, and the other was decked out in a leather catsuit.

The nude woman's body was curled into her leather-clad partner, like a little spoon. The clothed woman lovingly

stroked the naked woman's hair and body. Katrina assumed they were in a post-coitus afterglow as they did not even seem to notice Katrina and Queenie entering the space.

Katrina gingerly stepped behind Queenie, who had her back to Katrina. “Listen, Queenie, I know you must feel upset and betrayed. But look where we are! There are so many beautiful women to meet here, and you are absolutely gorgeous.” Katrina put her hand on Queenie's shoulder.

Queenie turned around to face Katrina; a grateful smile formed across her mouth. “Thank you, Katrina. You are so kind and sweet to me. I know a lot of the Minx women think I’m a vulture, but they just don't understand me. I come off strong, but I am actually a big pussycat at heart, maybe even a bit submissive at times.” Queenie gave Katrina a playful grin as she backed herself into the large cross.

Katrina laughed as she crossed her arms in front of her.

“Queenie, what on earth are you doing? Do you want me to strap you to the cross while I find a strong, butch Domme to join you in here?”

Queenie stretched out her arms towards Katrina and took Katrina's hands in hers; a mischievous glimmer formed in her eyes. “I wouldn't mind if you held me down on the cross. I don't need a butch Domme when there is already a strong and beautiful woman standing in front of me.”

All of a sudden, Katrina felt uneasy. What kind of game is Queenie playing now? She wanted things to be cool between her and Queenie, but Katrina was getting the impression that Queenie was after more than just sympathy. Katrina looked down at Queenie's hands, noticing the firm grip.

Queenie smiled and bit her lip seductively, pulling Katrina closer to her. Katrina felt frozen, unsure of how to handle the situation. She paused, searching for the words to express her discomfort.

Katrina spoke softly, keeping her gaze on Queenie's hands. “Queenie, you know that I like you, right? But I don't think it's a good idea for us to hook up.”

Queenie stepped towards Katrina, maintaining her grip.

Queenie was now close enough that Katrina could feel her the energy radiate from her body. Queenie leaned down and whispered to Katrina, teasing her. “Why is that a bad idea, huh? I am so curious about you, Katrina. You are so beautiful, so kind.” Queenie moved her mouth to Katrina's ear. “I want you. I'll bet you taste amazing.”

Before Katrina could break free and escape from Queenie's clutches, she saw Mickey in the dungeon's doorway, watching her and Queenie. Another person stood beside Mickey, a white, punk-rock woman with multiple piercings. Katrina caught their eyes, and together, they both disappeared from the doorframe. Oh my god, what just happened? Fuck! I hope Mickey didn't think I was trying to be with Queenie!

Katrina yanked herself away from Queenie and yelled.

“No, I don't want this with you! Please leave me alone, or I am going to the manager right now.” Katrina stepped away as the couple in the sex swing looked up in alarm. The woman in the catsuit asked, “Hey, are you okay? Do you need any help?”

Katrina was shaking, and Queenie immediately backed off. “No, we’re good. She was just leaving.” Katrina said and glared at Queenie, who laughed cruelly. “Yeah, I am leaving alright, leaving this little bitch to fend for herself.”

Queenie slinked away, exiting the dungeon. Before she left, she turned to Katrina. “You are just a little tease, like everyone else who works at Minx. Fuck you.” Queenie then spat on the ground and haughtily stormed out of the room.

Katrina was shaking. Everything had happened so fast; she could barely process the events that had just transpired. One thing was for sure; she needed to find

Mickey and explain what had really happened in the dungeon between her and Queenie.

God, that did not look good at all! I hope she believes me. Katrina took a few deep breaths, straightening out her posture. She was determined to fix any misunderstanding between her and Mickey.

They seem like a nice bunch of women; Mickey thought as she left Katrina and the rest of the group to explore Lix on their own. Wow, Katrina looked so beautiful tonight too. I am really lucky to be dating such a hottie.

While she didn’t dare say anything, Mickey had felt slightly apprehensive about having Katrina visit Lix. But she also knew that her discomfort was her issue and that it wouldn’t be fair to project her insecurities. Katrina had every right in the world to visit Lix, and Mickey would be doing a disservice to the business if she didn’t encourage new customers.

It was not as though Mickey had never invited a woman she was dating to the night club. When she had first started working there, she felt proud to show off her place of employment, and there were many times when Mickey leveraged her job at Lix to entice women.

But after fifteen years and countless, dramatic encounters later, Mickey had learned her lesson.

Witnessing and being the subject of disrespect, jealousy, and

  predatory

  behavior

  had

  hardened

  Mickey’s

perspective. She felt that the best solution was to avoid combining her relationships with her job.

However, she felt that Katrina was different. First of all, she was a mother, which in Mickey’s eyes, made her a kinder, more patient, and responsible woman from the jump. Katrina may have been a bit younger than Mickey, but she seemed mature beyond her years. Most of all, Mickey felt a genuine sincerity emanate from Katrina, which in L.A. was undoubtedly hard to find.

After Katrina had mentioned that she and her fellow Minx staff wanted to visit Lix for the first time, Mickey knew that she needed to get over herself and be as welcoming and gracious as possible. She truly wanted Katrina to enjoy the space and have a great time.

Mickey made her way through the crowd, waving at a few regular customers with her signature, welcoming smile. The energy is great tonight. It’s just busy enough to be fun but not overwhelming. Maybe if I get a spare moment, I will come and steal a kiss from Katrina. For now, Mickey wanted to complete her rounds and check in with Chelsea.

Mickey felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Chelsea’s grinning face. “Hey, girl! I was just going to check to see how things were going on your end.”

“Everything is cool, boss! The new trainee is picking up on things nicely. I think starting her on a Sunday night was a strong move. She can learn the pace without feeling ov
erwhelmed.” Chelsea then gave Mickey a pointed look.

“So, I was looking for you because I had a very serious question to ask you.”

Mickey furrowed her brow. “Okay, wow, that does sound serious. What’s up? Is everything alright?”

Chelsea stepped up and looked Mickey directly in the eye. “Did I just see you giving a tour to a group of women?”

Uh-oh, Mickey thought. Busted! She instantly knew where the conversation was headed. “Um, yeah, I did. Why, Chelsea?” Mickey couldn’t help but give a sheepish grin.

In a mock-scolding tone, Chelsea replied, “And correct me if I am wrong but were any of those women someone you are currently dating?”

Mickey sighed and threw her hands up in the air. “Okay, okay, you caught me. Yes, Chelsea. One of the women in the group is Katrina.” Mickey couldn’t help but chuckle to herself. “How the heck did you even figure that out, Chelsea?”

“Because I saw how smitten you were when you saw her face. I have known you for close to ten years. I can read you like a book.” Chelsea playfully swatted her co-worker on the arm. “Mickey, we had a deal! You said that you would bring your new woman to the club and would introduce me. So what’s up?”

“Look, Katrina and her friends are here for the very first time. I didn’t want to make it a thing. I figured she would check out the place and enjoy her time as a guest. She didn’t come here with me. I-I just wanted to ease her into the environment,” Mickey stammered.

“Bullshit, you wanted to ease yourself into the situation.

Come on, Mickey, don’t be so rigid.” Chelsea pleaded, “I am sure she really likes you and not for nothing, but I did help to create your online profile. I just want to see you happy and meet the people that matter to you. You are like family to me!”

Mickey knew that Chelsea had a point. Mickey tried to maintain some control over her emotions, but the truth was that she was crazy about Katrina. And she did make a promise to Chelsea. Mickey knew that the time had come to introduce Katrina to her Lix family.

Mickey looked up to the sky. “Lord, have mercy! Alright, Chelsea, you win. If you have any free time right now, we can go and try to find her.”

Chelsea clapped her hands together with glee. “Hurrah!

Yes, I can spare a few minutes. Where do you think they are?”

Mickey looked towards the doorway that led to the playrooms. “After the tour, I left them by the pool. So, if we head back towards the patio, we might catch them returning towards the main bar.”

“Okay, let’s do it!” Chelsea hooked her arm into Mickey’s, and the two of them headed back towards the dungeon and playrooms. On their way, Mickey caught a glimpse of someone who was in Katrina’s party. The woman passed by them, as though she was on a mission.

Mickey called out, “Hey, hey there! Remember me?” The woman turned around and smiled widely.

“Oh, hi! You are the woman who gave us the tour, right?” The woman looked uncertain. “Is it Mickey?”

Mickey nodded. “Yup! What’s your name?”

The woman stuck out her hand and said, “I’m Staci.

Thanks so much again. This place is incredible!”

“Cool, I am so glad you enjoyed the tour! I’m looking for Katrina. Do you know where she is?” Mickey asked.

“Yeah, she’s in the dungeon with Queenie. I’m grabbing us a couple of drinks.” Staci pointed towards The Crossroad.

“Thank you! Enjoy your night. I’m sure we will see you later,” Mickey said, and Chelsea gave Staci a wave.

“Let’s check out the dungeon; she is in there.” Suddenly Mickey was full of excitement and pride to introduce Katrina to Chelsea. Chelsea squealed while singing under her breath. “Mickey has a girlfriend. Mickey has a girlfriend.” Mickey gently elbowed Chelsea in jest. God, she is like an annoying kid sister! But I love her like family.

The pair reached the doorway to the dungeon. Upon glancing into the room, Mickey froze. Her heart felt like it had just stopped beating. There, she saw a tall, model-type woman holding Katrina’s hand, pulling her closer to her.

Katrina’s mouth was open, as though she was searching for words. The taller woman assumed a seductive expression, beckoning Katrina closer to her.

What the fuck? Mickey’s jaw dropped open as Chelsea gripped her arm. Chelsea then whispered to Mickey.

“Where is she? I only see two couples in here.” referring to the two bodies who were cuddling in the sex swing and the pair of women who were holding hands by a giant cross.

Mickey was at a loss for words. She felt as though she had been punched in the gut. How could I have been so stupid! Of course, she wanted the guest list to Lix, so that she could bring her other lover. How did I not see this coming? Chelsea looked up at Mickey, noticing her shocked expression.

“Mickey, is everything okay?” Chelsea whispered under her breath. “Is that…are those women...is she in here?”

At that moment, Katrina looked towards the doorway and gasped. Mickey looked away fast and immediately left the area with Chelsea by her side.

Tears were forming in Mickey’s eyes, but she refused to fall victim to her emotions. I will never ever cry at work. I am not going to cry at work. Mickey was in shock, and everything around her felt muffled and blurred. She started walking very quickly down the hall. Office. I will go into the office. She desperately needed an area to hide so that she could collect her thoughts and process what she had just seen.

“Mickey, Mickey! Please wait up.” Chelsea was practically running towards Mickey. “What happened?

What did you see? Mickey, please.”

Mickey reached the office and plunked herself down in an office chair. She crumpled over in her seat and put her dreadlocked head in her hands. Within a few seconds, Chelsea burst through the door and hurried over to comfort Mickey.

“I’m guessing she was one of the women in the dungeon, right? One of the couples?” Chelsea asked gently.

Mickey nodded, still hunched over. She felt like an utter fool, and she didn’t want to look at Chelsea. Chelsea swung

an arm around Mickey’s large frame and rested her head on Mickey’s shoulder. “God, Mickey, I am so sorry. That’s really shitty.”

Mickey finally looked up at Chelsea with bloodshot eyes.

She shook her head and tried to clear her thoughts. “Yeah, she was one of the women by the cross. Not the taller one; the shorter woman with the beautiful hair.” Mickey rubbed her face. “Honestly, I can’t even believe it. I would never have thought in a million years that she would play me like that.”

Chelsea nodded, remembering back to the scene. “Wow, that’s really something.” Chelsea sighed as she tried to assess the situation. “Mickey, I’m wondering…and just hear me out, okay?”

Mickey remained silent, her eyes glued to the ground.

Chelsea started, “Maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t what it seemed like.” Mickey quickly looked up at Chelsea and snarled, “What do you mean?”

Chelsea put up her palm in defense. “I am just saying, from what I saw, the taller woman definitely looked like she was hitting on your girl, but the shorter woman didn’t exactly appear as though she was down, if you know what I mean.”

Mickey was becoming annoyed. “Chelsea, you practically forced me to introduce this woman to you, and after you witnessed the same thing I did, you’re saying that I am just seeing things? What, you like making me look like a fool or something?” Mickey felt her temper rising in her chest.

“Mickey, take it easy. I am just saying that perhaps the shorter woman was the recipient of those advances but not necessarily into it. Honestly, her expression seemed one of alarm, like she wanted to shout out for help or something.”

Chelsea took a step back from Mickey, giving her space.

“I know how much you like her, and we both know that misunderstandings like this happen all of the time at Lix. I

know that we were in the doorway together, but I did not see two women w
ho were all over one another. I saw one woman hitting on another, and the other person didn’t seem to like it. That’s all.”

Mickey remained silent. She didn’t know what to believe at this point. But she knew she needed to get herself together so that she could continue doing her job. “I don’t know, Chelsea, I don’t know.” Mickey inhaled and exhaled deeply.

“Why don’t you take a few minutes to cool down. I’ll go out there and check up on things for you, until you feel ready to come back to the floor, okay?” Chelsea offered.

Mickey felt immense gratitude towards her friend.

“Okay, Chels. Sure, sounds good. I need a quick second to get my mind right, and I will be back out there in no time.”

Chelsea smiled. “Good, that’s the spirit.” She gave Mickey’s shoulder one last squeeze before standing up to leave the office. At that moment, the pair heard a sharp knock at the door.

“Hello, hello? Anyone in there?” Mickey and Chelsea turned to look at one another. They both recognized the voice behind the door as one of the Lix staff.

“I think that’s Lucky. I wonder what she wants.” Mickey turned to Chelsea. “I’ll answer the door.”

Mickey stood up, and upon swinging open the door, she found Lucky standing beside a tear-stained Katrina.

“Hi, boss! Sorry to bug ya. This lady was looking for you.

She said it was urgent, so I thought I would try and find you.”

Mickey stared at Katrina, feeling at a loss for words.

“Um, okay. Thanks, Lucky. We can take it from here.”

“No problem!” Lucky replied cheerfully, turning on her heel. Chelsea stepped beside Mickey and asked,

“Everything okay here, Mickey?” Chelsea put a protective hand on Mickey’s shoulder. “Do you want me to stay?”

Mickey shook her head. “No, but thanks, Chelsea. I can handle this myself.”

Mickey kept her eyes on Katrina, who looked distraught.

Chelsea narrowed her eyes at Katrina before exiting the office. “Alright, cool. Well, let me know if you need anything.” She patted Mickey on the back and followed in Lucky’s direction.
