The edge in his voice, the sharpness of his eyes, made her shiver.
He plunked a bottle of water on the bedside table, then he turned and walked out.
She stared at the door, sucking in a deep breath.
God, he was intimidating... but at the same time, she longed to feel his hands on her. Tearing her clothes, manhandling her roughly.

Race smiled and at the predatory look in his eyes, Jacquie realized he was going to win. The blood drained from her face as he flipped over his cards… revealing a full house.
