His Every Touch (Den of Sin)

by Blue, Mel

But now his long, lean and firm body was hers for the taking. She settled on the balls of her feet, letting her body rub against his. The hardness of his chest and dick brushed against her stomach and breasts. They were skin to skin, if she discounted her bra.

His eyes were half-mast. They were on a plane. The pilots could make an announcement. Yet the scent of his deep musk mattered the most. She flattened her hands on his pecs and reveled in his deep inhalation. He was so tall his elbows were bent and he tugged at the impromptu restraint. Some of the tie slipped out.

She narrowed her gaze. “Stop it.”

“Make me,” he threw the challenge back.

She unbuckled his belt and then undid his slacks. To tease them both, she stroked him softly. His eyes shut and his head tilted back. That image, Lucian Beaudelaire, lost to her touch would forever stay with her. He showed weakness in court but always, always to fool the other side into dropping their guard. This was Lucian falling into the sensation, letting her take over and loving it.

She pressed her lips to his collarbone, dropping her hand away from his dick and then kissed her way down to his left nipple. Closing her teeth around the small nub, she tugged at his flushed skin. He tensed beneath her mouth, but he didn’t free himself. His dick hung heavy between them and still she took her time, kissing her way down to his stomach. With each contact of her lips to his skin, his ab muscles contracted. His unvarnished reaction left her heady and made it easy to kneel in front of him.

The plane hit a pocket of air and she grasped onto his thighs to keep herself steady. When the turbulence stopped, she worked his slacks and underwear down his legs until they pooled around his ankles. The fine hairs peppering his legs and thighs tickled her palms as she caressed her way up to his dick.

She straightened so her mouth could rove over the patch of hair and then lower until she skimmed her lips down his thick length. Courtney could hear his harsh breathing over the airplane’s engine. She smiled.

Closing her hands around his waist, she licked the tip of his cock. Licked again, this time running her tongue down to the base and back up. When the hint of salt from his precum flavored her tongue, she covered the head with her mouth and sucked hard.

His groan was so husky and long she could damn near feel the sound in her throat. So Courtney took him deeper just to hear the sound again. And again. And again. She soaked him with her mouth and he really, really liked it. She mapped the most intimate part of him with her tongue, her mouth. She traced the ridges, the veins and enjoyed the way he pulsed when she started at the base and sucked him hard enough that when she pulled away from his cock a wet popping sound filled the cabin.

Pleasure and a wanton desire left her wet. She reached down into her panties and played with her clit to ease the nagging ache.

“Courtney,” he croaked and then groaned. “I’m g-going to come.”

She moaned and pulled back. “I want to taste you.”

It took a moment to realize his hands were in her hair now. She would have chuckled at the fact he’d broke through his restraint but she could feel the truth of his statement. He’d turned rock hard and hot in her hand and mouth. She could practically feel the thump of blood rushing in his veins as she tightened her grip, working him up and down in her fist.

Then he made a little growling sound. It was mindless, primal and made her want to come just hearing the way he lost hold to any inhibitions. She knew he wouldn’t remember making the noise later.

Courtney moaned and took him as deep as he could go. She closed her eyes and moaned when she felt the hot splash of his cum at the back of her throat.

After she sucked him clean, Courtney met his gaze. He ran his thumb over the curve of her jaw. He opened his mouth to speak but a ding from the intercom stopped him.

The pilot announced, “We’re twenty minutes out from our destination. Please strap in.”

She couldn’t read the emotions flashing in his eyes and the coward in her didn’t want to know. She stood and midway up he helped her. Lucian grabbed her discarded shirt from the seat and started with the buttons. Next, still not saying a word, he tried to wrangle her hair into a semblance of order. It didn’t escape her notice he paid no mind to himself. His pants and underwear were still a puddle at his feet.

Her heart refused to slow at that simple action. Don’t hand your hopes over on those simple but telling actions. But it was like her common sense had gone on strike. He slapped at the wrinkles on her skirt.

Once satisfied, he pulled back and held her gaze. “This conversation isn’t over.”

  “But—”

He put a finger to her lips. “I’m going to take care of you, of everything. You won’t have anything to worry about, Courtney.”

Those words should have reassured her, but reality kept sneaking into her thoughts. What would happen once they were back at work, not this fantasy between work and play?

“I’ll be your lover, wholeheartedly,” she said.

His head tilted like he heard something more in her words. “But?”

“You have to promise me nothing at work will change.”

His brows furrowed when he frowned. “What?”

“You’re going to continue to be high-handed and unreasonable at work. I need that.” His expression remained skeptical. “If you can’t then we’re done now.”

His hold on her tightened. “Why?”

Her stomach started to churn at the simple question. “You’re one of the best. Trust me, I met plenty of attorneys when I worked at the library. You’re the best because you don’t go easy on your employees. You demand that of yourself.” Something he’d ignored to be with her. That churn transformed into knots covered in thorns. Courtney swallowed. “Can you do that, Lucian?”

He brushed his thumb over her cheek again. “Yes.”

He was the most disciplined man she knew. He wanted to be lovers, not a couple. This Lucian could do. She hoped. Shit. She didn’t know…but the next day at work would be the true test. Until then he was hers for the taking. And Courtney would take until she couldn’t anymore.

  CHAPTER SEVEN

“Ms. Michaels,” Lucian said, his words dripped with barely contained passion.

Courtney glanced up from the paperwork spread on her desk. Day two since they’d stepped off the plane as lovers and they continued to balance on the tightrope of being professional at work and unrepentant outside it.

She could keep it together between nine to five. Sometimes. But she, also, didn’t hold the power in their work relationship. Courtney couldn’t go into his office, unbutton her shirt and expect anything but a reprimand.

She put her hands on her office chair arms, pushed up and straightened. “Yes, Mr. Beaudelaire?”

Absently, she noted her breasts had bounced with the action. He placed a hand on her desk and leaned into her space. She had no doubt he hadn’t missed that factoid either and he was about to say something R rated.

“I know who I want for dinner?” There was a dark, naughty promise in his tone.

  And there it was. “Lucian—”

“Chinese,” he said and smirked. “Order my usual, buffet style. We should be done with our day here at seven, promptly.”

That’s so not what he’d meant to say. She had to curtail the smile. It would only encourage him. “Anything else?”

Movement caught her gaze and she glanced behind her boss. Aiden waltzed into their sanctuary. He wasn’t even a junior associate, but he wanted to be.

“Lucian, do you have a moment?” The younger man asked.

Lucian’s back was to Aiden so only Courtney got the privilege of seeing him close his eyes as though bracing himself. When he opened them, he kind of wore a fuck-my-life expression. She grinned and Lucian narrowed his gaze at her glee.

“Thank you, Courtney. I’ll go over the draft.”

Her heart thumped, hard. Yes, it was a pretend “draft.” He didn’t have a single good intention after he had leaned
on her desk. His dinner order was only meant to toy with her.

But that wasn’t the problem. Not entirely. He’d thanked her—something he never did. Lucian didn’t get crowned a dickhole because he was occasionally a hard ass at work when it came to her. Before—wasn’t that the only way she could think about their affair?—they tumbled into bed, his idea of being lenient involved giving her a lunch break with only forty-six things left on her day’s to-do list.

She swallowed the sourness filling her mouth. “Do you need anything else?” she asked again.

“When…our client calls, patch it in straightaway.”

Courtney pushed out a breath. Now that he’d done all the time when Aiden came around. They had an understanding. Lucian could only take ten, maybe, fifteen minutes of his workday dealing with the man. Aiden was an incredible attorney, a horrible suck-up.

Lucian’s slip was just an…aberration. There wasn’t more of the same to come. They had talked about this—work was work and sex was sex.

Was it really just Lucian crossing that line?

The inner question troubled her. Maybe he sensed that, because Lucian turned to Aiden and told him to go ahead into the office. When they were alone again, he leaned on her desk like before and inspected her face.

What exactly had Lucian done? He hadn’t made the dirty joke she’d braced herself for. He’d said thank you. What person found fault with that? He may be her boss, but her future was still her own. She was being overly sensitive about this.

So Courtney relaxed in her chair. “We’re almost out of coffee in the kitchen. I’m going to make a run to the grocery store before the natives get restless in the office.”

His gaze shuttered. “That’s fine. We get off at seven-thirty,” he said and strutted toward the door.

She frowned. “I thought you said our work day ends at seven, promptly.”

He didn’t bother to turn around to add, “It will.”

She whirled in her chair but he’d already closed the door behind him. They were so going to talk about that. Until then, she got to work on the revised complaint because he needed that…yesterday.

  *****

Hours later Lucian emailed the revised complaint back to Courtney to file with the local court. That officially ended their workday. He glanced at the time and guessed in five minutes she’d storm into his office. He’d caught the flare of anger when he’d thrown out the innuendo about getting off. It was and wasn’t the problem. She didn’t entirely trust him to keep his word. Could he blame her? No…yes.

Her ex had fucked up that foundation, and Lucian would have to show Courtney when it came to her career, he wouldn’t stand in her way. She had a lot to lose, and plenty of reasons to be wary. But so did he.

Lucian relaxed in his chair and waited. As he predicted, she stalked into his office and slammed the door behind her. “Everyone is gone for the day.” Her words were clipped. “We can talk.”

“We’re usually the last to leave.” He rose from his chair and stretched, working out the kinks in his back before narrowing his gaze on her face. She bit her lip as the anger slowly turned into a different kind of heat.

Recognizing the change, he asked, “Was there something you wanted to get off your chest?”

She crossed her arms. “Get off?”

He couldn’t help but to make that joke earlier. She’d glanced up at him, a simmer of their attraction clear in her eyes, like it was now. It had taken all his resolve not to lean closer and just take her mouth, make her moan. He still had that primitive urge to make her his and he’d had her in many ways since they left New Orleans. Lucian said they’d be lovers but this…felt like so much more. She had to feel it too.

He stepped forward and grasped her suit jacket. “We were alone.”

Her breath shuddered out when his knuckles brushed her nipples. “But what if—”

He kept up the slow caress. “What if someone was here to see you slam my door?” he threw back before she could finish her argument. “We can’t operate on what might happen, Courtney. Let’s just deal with the consequences one at a time.” He pinched her left nipple softly, just the way she liked.

She bit her lip and stammered for a moment. “Sounds reasonable but you just want to touch my butt when you think we’re alone in the office.”

He hadn’t thought that far but now that he had the idea, it held a lot of appeal. “I can get behind that.” He pinched her again and pleasure sluiced through his gut when her lids lowered.

  “Lucian—”

He bent and brushed his mouth over hers. “Stop worrying.”

  “Lu—”

He added enough pressure to make her moan. “Do you know how hard it is to keep my hands off you when we’re at work?” He nipped her bottom lip and then ran his tongue along it. She pressed into him and he couldn’t help but smile. “I see you and I want to take you right where you’re standing.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck. “Yes, but I have more restraint. Clearly.”

Lucian pulled away from her at the statement. Their agreement wasn’t just words. She would walk away if he couldn’t hold it together at work. And what he felt for her was more than lust.

  “What is it?” she asked.

I just want a chance to be happy. “Come on,” he said and pulled her around his desk. With a guided hand he settled back into his chair and had her on his desk.

He crossed his arms and leaned back to look at her.

A slow smile spread. “What?” she asked.

“Nothing. All day I’ve been forced to let my gaze skip over you. Today and yesterday.”

She appeared pleased by his words but she still said, “I came to your house after work.”

  “Not the same.”

The day job still had its hold on her features, tightening the corners of her mouth. For a year he’d stolen glances of her when he knew she wouldn’t notice. He’d done his best to ignore anything that wasn’t anger coming from her. It had worked and now he didn’t want that. So he sat there and took his fill of her while she sat on his desk.

She sucked in a big breath and slowly pushed it out. “Lucian…”

He uncrossed his arms and splayed his fingers over her knees. “Shh.”

  “You like me quiet?”

He bent and placed a kiss on her shin. “I like you soft and right now you look soft.”

“It’s the way you’re eyeing me,” she murmured and shifted, spreading her legs until her skirt kept them prisoner.

Curious, he asked. “What do you mean?”

“It‘s like you could look at me for hours.” She cupped his cheek.

“You never want to do the same?” He let his fingers ride up her skirt. She moved to help him tug it up to her waist. He closed his fingers around the band of her panties and pulled them off.

She leaned forward and whispered into his ear, “I do. When you go to sleep.”

He pushed her legs apart. “Isn’t that…creepy?”

Courtney braced her hands on the desk and smiled at him. “But even when you’re asleep you…” Her smile widened and then her lids lowered because he brushed his fingers over her pussy lips. “You look soft.”

  He chuckled. “Never.”

She bit her lip and he could see the argument starting to brew in her gaze. He gripped her thighs. “Our boundaries are fine. Relax.”

She opened her mouth to protest. He slid from the chair and knelt between her legs. Her breath shuddered out. “Luc—”

He flicked his tongue over her clit. No. They couldn’t settle all their arguments like this, but he doubted she’d mind. Her thighs trembled beneath his fingers. He pushed her legs back more to get a better taste and wasn’t disappointed. She tasted so damn good.

Lucian sucked her clit until it was swollen and lapped her up when that made her very wet. He left no room for argument about them doing this while at work. She could only squirm and grip his hair. He suckled her and he didn’t stop until she moaned h
is name. The way she did right before she came. He’d never get tired of hearing that.

But he had a point to make so Lucian pulled back to meet her gaze. “If you still want to have this discussion when we get home, we will.”

Her hips arched up to his mouth and he smiled at her desperation. She’d been so close. “Lucian, you’re an ass,” she panted out.

  “But I’m your ass.”

Her expression softened and she swallowed. Before she could reply he went back to work, closing his mouth over her clit. She let out a harsh cry and stilled. For now the argument was settled. She was going home with him and that’s all that mattered as he made her come.

  CHAPTER EIGHT

Lucian stalked down the hallway of his law firm and caught sight of two secretaries giggling over something on the computer. They shared a cubicle but both stood at one station. Pictures of husbands, families and children decorated the bland gray space.

Maybe they could feel his stare because they both turned at the same time in his direction. They sprang apart, guilt painting their features. Normally he would have let that slide. His silence would impart all that could be said so much better than a dressing down.

The threat their boss could drop by at any time kept his employees working more often than not, which is all he could hope for.

Plus, Lucian understood the importance of morale, and that meant work friendships and sometimes slacking off for a minute or two during work hours since that actually made for happier, more productive employees.

Yet, no more than thirty minutes before in a meeting to follow up the second failed settlement agreement in a week, he’d turned to Courtney and said, “Whenever you can get those notes on my desk would be great. Thank you.”

Everyone in the room had sort of froze around the conference table.

  Could you please…

  Do you have time…

  Excuse me…

These were all things Lucian had said to Courtney after they had come back to the office. Lucian could hear the words coming out of his mouth, but couldn’t quite understand where the hell they had come from.
