  “Two hours,” he stated, drily.

  Angie almost dropped the cutlery.

“What?” both men inquired, at the same time.

“It felt like two days…” she decided to be honest, “or two minutes.”

She should continue to play dumb, but that train had left the moment Angie explained she could talk to the mythical creature in the flesh.

“You’ve proven he can talk to you,” Roger stated, changing subjects suddenly; she knew whatever he said next would be important. “Now prove you can talk to him.”

Angeline couldn’t stop herself from looking at him, skeptically. She knew right away he didn’t believe her claim of being able to understand what Maelstrom said, and yes, she could’ve just made it all up.

“So, what do you need me to tell him?” Angie accepted the challenge without reconsideration.

The two men in front of her looked at each other. Hank’s facial expression read uncertainty and Roger’s determination.

“We need samples,” the man Angeline had named ‘Bear’ stated, coolly, and only turned towards her after he had finished the sentence.

“Samples,” she repeated, questioningly. “As in…”

“We’ve got no needles that can penetrate his skin, and we can’t get anywhere near him,” Hank cut her off. “You already know he likes to kill whoever gets too close to him.”

“Apart from me,” Angeline finished what Hank was telling her.

She wanted to ask how she should get that kind of sample from Maelstrom. For all Angie knew no one had noticed it had been the merman’s blood she had spit out over the railing. But as she wondered about the task they were giving her, it dawned on her what they really wanted. Or rather what their boss wanted.

“Is this the reason I’m still alive?” she asked out loud, unintentionally. “Why no one has touched me yet?”

Silence was the answer to her question.

“You want his sperm?” Angeline said what those two men didn’t want to vocalize.

A cold chill ran down Angie’s spine, followed by a heat, which embarrassed her. She should be horrified, but she was all too willing to do it.

“He won’t do that,” Angie whispered, her voice failing her, almost making her sound as if she was disappointed, which she was.

Angeline’s emotions lay in chaos. It wasn’t only because of what was demanded of her. This creature had rummaged through her earliest memories, her very first experiences and showed them to her.

“I…,” Angie wanted to tell them she could ask the male siren to bite himself, so she could give them the blood they had wanted, but she couldn’t do that.

They would know she was plotting against them.

“I can’t do that,” she told them, shaking her head.

  “You will,” Roger retorted.

  “You must,” Hank emphasized.

“It’s the only reason,” Roger explained, and she knew what he was talking about.

Their boss had decided this, and they were set to carry out his order. Yet, Angie had the horrible notion this wasn’t the entire truth. Although she was grateful for her being untouched and unharmed, they still could have had their fun with her and tossed her into the tank. Their leverage against Maelstrom was her not being killed. Or did their boss worry he wouldn’t touch her if anyone had used her before him?

  Would he even care?

Or did he have other intentions?

Another chill made Angeline shiver instinctively. For so long in her short life now she had fought for animals to be freed, to not be used for entertainment, or vile experiments and now she was nothing more than one of those poor creatures.

Angie was disgusted. Not by her actions but because of those two men who had treated her with something she had misjudged for respect or at least human decency. She had been wrong. They were just making sure she was staying ‘intact’ for what their boss had intended her for.

Her first impulse was to stab each one with the steak knife she had still in her hand. The only reason why Angie didn’t was she doubted her own strength. She probably wouldn’t be able to kill them, let alone hurt them severely. And even if she did, there were still half a dozen men out there guarding the yacht.

Angeline did have self-defense classes under her belt, but they were meant for exactly that: defending herself, which mostly meant running away when having the chance. She had no idea how to effectively attack one, let alone two men.

She needed help. And, the only help onboard was Maelstrom. There was no way around it. She would have to try and seduce the natural seducer.

On the positive side, his kiss would wash away all her reservations regarding what these men wanted her to do. The sheer memory of that kiss made her head spin and her heart dance the tango.

Angie closed her eyes right where she was. A part of her silently begged for all this to be a crazy dream. But why would she have a dream like that? Something so far away from all her experiences… it only could be drug-induced, and she didn’t do drugs.

Her mind was spinning in circles again.

Angeline got up and rammed the tip of the steak knife into the table in front of her, making both men jump, and most certainly making them reconsider ever giving her a knife again.

“I will need one of your tee’s,” she addressed the bear-man without looking at him. “Because I am not stripping down in front of your men. And I doubt you’d like any questions on where I got that kind of underwear from on this yacht.”

While speaking these words, she looked at Hank. Angie knew she was playing poker at high stakes right now, but these men didn’t regard her as a human being. At least she was winning this hand, because Hank was blushing, proving her right. It wasn’t only her assumption about Hank being the true owner of the lingerie. She was also right about the other men not knowing.

Roger got up without saying a word while Angie held Hank captive with her stare.

“Did you kill one of my friends?” she interrogated him, while his boyfriend was going through his closet at the end of the bunk.

All of a sudden Mr. Shark-Face looked fragile in her eyes, but she couldn’t feel any pity. Good men weren’t good if they didn’t even try to stop the bad ones.

Hank only shook his head and quickly cast down his eyes, watching his fidgeting hands.

“Get in here and change clothes,” Roger barked down the tiny hall, and Angie took her time burning a hole through Hank’s skull, before obeying the order and walking away.

Angeline could only hope her spitting blood and dropping some hair into the ocean was Maelstrom’s way of calling for backup. It was quite possible. She knew sharks could scent blood for miles, so why not siren’s which seemingly enjoyed the taste of human flesh. It was that idea she clung to as she walked past Roger who closed the door behind him. But Angie simply couldn’t imagine how the support Maelstrom had called for could help them at all.

Were sirens able to lure humans to their deaths by the sheer beauty of their voice? Maelstrom hadn’t used his voice at all. She wasn’t sure he even had one.

Angeline hid in her thoughts and pondering about who or what would come to her aid. She did her best to not notice the gawking men around her and to ignore the fact that although Maelstrom might be saved her being rescued was still in question. They could leave her behind, or worse: eat her.

Ultimately, Angie clung to the memory of the kiss Maelstrom had given her. She refused to think he had been using her as well. He had seduced her and then forced her to do his bidding under his compulsion.

They were all using her. She was nothing but a tool to all of them. Not a human being. Only a thing.

Angeline found herself standing on the top of the ladder’s metal stairs, staring at the restless and murky water of the tank at her feet. She was still wearing the shirt she had worn after they had ripped her bikini into shreds. Angie couldn’t stop herself from feeling utterly alone and lost. No one would come for her. She had made sure of that.

At that moment Angeline realized she had always been angry at her father for not standing up to her mother, for not standing up for her. He was just as weak as Hank, who had to hide who he truly was. Angeline’s father was just the same: weak, insecure and a disappointment for both her mother and her. It didn’t change how Angie wished he would call to save her.

Angeline felt stupid for her desperate plea.

  She knew better.

There was no way her dad would come and whisk her away from this nightmare. He had been her white knight when she was a kid. He never once was when she was a teen.

Ever since then Angie had searched for a hero in every boy she had met. It looked as if the only person who would be saving her was herself. And she would have to do unthinkable deeds to achieve that.

Taking a deep breath, Angie grabbed the bottom of the shirt she was wearing and pulled it over her head. She tossed it away, thoughtlessly, and ignored the fact that she was completely naked in front of a dozen men, who reacted in their own specific and distasteful way to the sight in front of them.

Angie ignored them. She refused to acknowledge their presence altogether. Even more so, she changed her reality in her mind. In her small universe, she was wearing a diving suit. She had finished her studies in marine biology and had been called to examine a creature of the sea, a merman, which was nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing was abnormal in the world she was creating for herself.

She got into the water, slowly, allowing her body to adjust to the colder temperature. There was no threat to her. She knew what to do. In this reality, nothing ugly had ever happened to her.

Just as she was used to from her training, Angeline inhaled a few times before she submerged completely. Underwater everything was different: light, sound, the weight of her body, the weight of the world.

Angie had loved swimming ever since she was a toddler until her mother ruined it for her with her ambitions. And still, she hadn’t felt anywhere as safe as under water. For whatever odd reason, Angie remembered her father joking about that they should have named her Ariel and not Angeline.

Her train of thought was interrupted, her conjured dream was destroyed by a silver silhouette in front of her. No matter how hard Angeline tried, Maelstrom’s appearance destroyed her carefully constructed fake-reality. Even more so, it tore her in twain. One part of her horrified, the other enraptured. While one part of her wanted to get out of the tank and throw herself overboard to die of hypothermia the other yearned to wrap her arms around him and get lost in his kiss.

  None of that happened.

Maelstrom remained to hover in front of her, his expression worried or wondering. Angie wasn’t sure anymore about his motives. Maybe the male siren just tried to figure out why she was naked and in the water with him. But that meant he was plain naïve about what was supposed to happen.

Could that be? That he had no clue?

Angeline didn’t want to think or wonder about it. She didn’t want to find a way to explain to him what was expected of them. He had used her, and now it was her turn to use him, right?

A kick of her legs was all she needed to move herself towards him. Angeline grabbed Maelstrom’s face and pulled his mouth on hers, kissing him.

She couldn’t ignore his surprise although she did her best to do so, or the fact that he hesitated before slowly placing his hands at her sides. They remained there for a moment before his slender fingers brushed across her skin, leaving a trail of goosebumps. It was then when he kissed her back; first hesitantly, then to her it seemed he lost his reservations if there had been any. Angeline wanted to stay in control over her own body, her senses, and her mind. She braced herself for the impact of whatever it was that his saliva contained, but it was something different taking her by surprise. While one of his hands had almost unnoticedly slid up to the spot right between her shoulder blades the other had moved to her tail bone. And it pushed her hips towards his body.

Although chained to the boulder at the bottom of the tank Maelstrom easily moved her towards the side of the tank where the ladder was resting against it and he pressed her against the cold glass.

Angie didn’t get the chance to flinch because of the cold. She was way too distracted by the thickness pressed against her lower abdomen.

A rush of excitement rushed through her veins as she realized the loss of control he too experienced while kissing her. Angeline quickly brushed away the fact that several men were probably watching them right now.

Maelstrom might be nature’s embodiment of male seduction, with his unearthly beauty and a taste to die for. But he was incapable of resisting her. Angie didn’t care for any explanations. She was lost in the sensation he was drowning her in feeling meltingly hot even though her surroundings were cold, her heart racing with euphoria, her body yearning for more.

Angeline dug her fingers into his hair, using her elbows to press him closer if that was possible. His body was cooler than hers but warmer than the sea water around them. He somehow managed to give her oxygen while they kissed each other like long lost lovers meeting each other again after an eternity of waiting. Angie could sense Maelstrom’s lower body slowly snaking around one of her legs, trying to pull her even closer. For a split second, she realized he really hadn’t done this before. Maybe not even with a siren.

This idea made her heart jump and her mind clock out. And with that, she wrapped her legs around his hips.

Maelstrom's body froze for a second, almost as if he had been electrified. But it was only because of what she was doing right now. He was hesitating, and it made her heart break and bleed for him.

“Do it,” Angeline thought, speaking to him in her mind, crossed her ankles behind his body, directing him closer to the spot on her body, which was already burning with need.

Feeling his hardness grow against her, was driving her desperately insane. Angie didn’t want to imagine how he would make her feel if his kisses were already beyond good and evil.

Maelstrom still didn’t act, but for some reason, she didn’t feel rejected. Angeline sensed he was insecure and uncertain if she really felt what she did, and if she truly wanted him. Clearly, he was aware of his effect on female humans.

Angeline pulled away from their kiss and grabbed his head, so he would look at her. Maelstrom hadn’t appeared this fragile and human to her before this very moment. It was that heartbeat that made her fall in love with him. And he could sense it. Maybe he had been using her to get a chance to be freed, but she would have done the same in his situation.

Now, the way he acted, made everything else insignificant.

“I’m going to get us out of here,” she promised to him. “We’re in this together.”

Maelstrom was now marveling at her as if she was the mythical creature now. For a few moments, Angie forgot all and everything around her, even the need to breathe. She just looked back at him, stared at him, not caring about how she had gotten here. In the end, all that mattered was fate brought them together. It was meant to be. Even if it was just a dream or a nightmare or a crazy mixture of both, like a cocktail that would knock you out the moment you crashed.

Angeline pulled his face back towards hers and his mouth back onto her lips. And not because she needed to breathe, but because she needed to taste him, to feel him, and to become one with him. Angie imagined this without thinking twice, still knowing Maelstrom would be able to read her thoughts. He could sense what she wanted, what she yearned for; and in return, she could feel his reaction to her thoughts.

“I want you inside me,” she confirmed. “Now. I can’t bear it any longer. I’m begging you.”

Her thoughts were racing in her mind, drowning in her own imagination. Her fantasies were more erotic than anything she had experienced in real life. But he was different. Maelstrom’s kiss alone had blown her mind, and right now she didn’t care for the scientific explanation of it. Angeline wanted and needed him to show her it was not her shortcomings while her first and only tim
e was such a catastrophe.

There was one difference already. Angie was truly attracted to Maelstrom. She hadn’t convinced herself she must want him too, just because it was him who desired her.

When he pressed her back against the glass behind her, Angeline’s mind stopped working altogether and allowed her instincts to take over. And, for the first time, Angie didn’t feel bad about it.

And when Maelstrom complies with her request, for a split second, she didn’t feel or think at all.

There was no comparison. Not really. It was the same action, a similar sensation, but still from another world, another reality, something else entirely, like a fairy tale itself. It was not entirely Maelstrom’s action. His movement was accompanied by the force of her body. But Angeline’s imagination was no match for this. His trust was enhanced by the pressure of her legs and the movement of her hips to meet him. And, although her body was eager to welcome him, it was beyond what she had expected.

Maelstrom’s long, hard and thick cock slid into her as if her body knew very well it wasn’t made for him. And still pain and pleasure made Angie throw her head back, somehow managing to not inhale water and still shriek out. He was too big, and still, he was perfect. Angeline refused to allow him to pull out again as he realized he was hurting her. She wrapped her legs tighter around his hips.

“Yes!” She cried out silently, only for him to hear in his own head, repeatedly confirming, how perfect it felt to her, while her body was adjusting to his size and form. “This is how I want it.”

Angie wanted it to be big, rough and brute. She needed him to lose control of himself because he wanted her so desperately. He was so much larger than her in body size, it made sense that everything else was the same. And she loved it. She just hoped he would enjoy this just as much as she did.

Angeline hadn’t expected this would be the way she could enjoy herself and truly let go. From all she knew, she had believed only the tender way would be it for her. How wrong she had been.

Gripping the rim of the tank behind her, Angie arched her back further. Like this, she could breathe since her face broke through the water. And, on top of that, she offered Maelstrom, a chance to explore her body.
