Ocean's Captive Page 10

A deliciously breathtaking feeling coursed through her body and the source of this pleasure was her clit. Maelstrom had freed her from the cut-off jeans she had been wearing and now had buried his face in her pussy.

Angie only managed to stay in her sitting position because she had already supported herself on one arm. The other was now buried in his still wet hair.

Maybe it was because of Angeline’s very few and very negative sexual experiences, but to her, it didn’t matter. She had no idea how Maelstrom knew how to pleasure her, as her mind was briefly capable of remembering their first time. The male siren had been so insecure, almost scared, and now he was blowing her mind and fusing her veins.

Unlike before, Maelstrom’s hands were warmer now, slowly brushing up the outside of her thighs, maneuvering her legs towards his shoulders. Angeline sensed he wanted her to lean backward, but only at the outskirts of her mind. Her body moved on her own, while she lost herself in the waves of pleasure rolling through her body as if she was the sea. Laying on her back, Angeline could easily entangle her fingers in the wet strands of Maelstrom’s hair. She became completely lost in the ever-changing waves of soft licks, intense sucking, and almost painful pressure from his teeth. She could go on like this forever, but a part of her body became impatient. Angie knew, if he went on like that just a little longer, these waves would build up to an explosion. But she wanted Maelstrom, she needed him to be inside her when she came. She yearned for him to come when she did.

The sheer despair of her need stole her breath and turned it shallow, increasing the setup of the orgasm which would undeniably lay her world in ruins.

As if Maelstrom could read her mind – and maybe he could – he stopped working her pussy and drew a line with his tongue from her clit up to Angeline’s desperate mouth. The second his lips merged with hers, she felt as if she had held her breath the entire time. Although she knew Maelstrom had torn out a piece of Hank’s neck and swallowed it, even though she knew the merman’s main dish was human flesh, she did not care. Especially not when he plunged his unbelievably hard cock into her. This already felt like an orgasm, yet a smaller one, if such things existed.

Angie’s thoughts dissolved the same moment they formed, just like clouds of haze, as his slender fingers slid up her sides, leaving a wake of goosebumps on her skin. Maelstrom’s hands cupped her breasts and played with her nipples just to move up further the very second it almost made her lose it.

What followed changed what she felt, entirely. His hands slid up her neck to hold her face most tenderly, to stay there a few seconds before Maelstrom moved quickly and lifted her up onto his hips.

Air vanished from her lungs as he slid even deeper into her, brushing parts of her body she hadn’t even felt before.

He carried her further, down the hall to the very chamber and to the bed she had slept and loathed, the past days in.

All that was forgotten when Maelstrom placed her carefully on those scratchy sheets and he started to fuck her, gently. Angeline couldn’t stop thinking he was reading her mind as he changed the pace or the vigor of his movements at just the right moment. And still, she felt as if he was deliberately tormenting her, every time Angeline came too close to the very edge she so desperately wanted to fall from.

It was perfectly timeless, void of all that was bad. Angeline felt like she had been submerged by liquid life and joy. She wanted to lose herself in it, but he wouldn’t let her. Not until she had reached a point which seemed to be so close and yet so far away. This was something different than how it had started. Angie knew this would change her forever and she wasn’t scared, she was willing to let it happen, willing to let herself fall, to let herself be surrounded by what felt threatening, by what would normally cause her to panic.

  But it did not.

When she finally came, Angeline felt like breaking through the surface of the ocean; she felt like coming to life, like leaving unknown weights behind, almost as if she was reborn. And maybe she was.

Angeline wrapped her arms around Maelstrom tightly, needing him to ride out this orgasm for as long as she could. She could feel him come inside her, hard and intense. They held on to each other long after they both had found a peace they had never expected, not here, not ever. Maybe it was this realization which made it close to impossible to let go, although they both knew they had to. Only when Angeline reluctantly loosened her tight embrace around Maelstrom’s head did he move as well. He almost didn’t dare to look at her, as he did. Angie could only guess. At least, so she thought, but she could feel in her heart he was sad and afraid to see the same sadness in her eyes.

They both knew he had to leave. He didn’t belong on land, let alone on two legs. Maelstrom belonged to the ocean, yet for the first time, he felt like he was it’s captive and not a sea dweller.

Angeline didn’t know how, she just knew how he felt, almost perceived what he thought, just without hearing the words. It felt so like these moments when she had a word on the tip of her tongue but couldn’t find it. She knew exactly what it meant, how it felt, she just couldn’t say it. This was how it felt to ‘hear’ him speak in his mind. If she could only tell him, she could talk to him, but his and her own sadness was heavy on her.

And right now, to her, it was more important to not cry.

Maelstrom still avoided her gaze as he removed himself, but it seemed he did not want to turn his back on her. It wasn’t because he was scared Angeline would knife him. He wanted to look at her for as long as he could before he had to leave. His family was waiting for him. They had left because they knew he would be able to free him, by transforming his tail into legs. Maybe that was why he had needed help because it took so long?

Angie couldn’t help but look at his legs briefly. Was it just her imagination, or was Maelstrom already changing back, slowly? To her eyes, it seemed the light greyish color on his legs was already darkening on their backs. She had so many questions about how and why, but she knew there wasn’t the time.

Quickly, Angie got onto her own feet and closed the distance between them, reaching up to his face, which almost was out of her reach, and she pulled his mouth back on her lips. Now she didn’t care for the last remains of human blood on his face. Maelstrom instantly kissed her back.

Angeline was his life savior, as much as Maelstrom was hers. He would never forget her, and she would never forget him. But they would never see each other again.

This knowledge, this certainty cut deep into her heart, and she knew he felt the same.

  Despite them just having met.

Despite them barely knowing each other.

Despite them literally being from different worlds.

Maelstrom pulled her close, deepening the kiss.

Even if there was some potent pheromone in his saliva, Angie was certain she was immune to it now. What she felt was real, and it wasn’t just attraction. His kiss had still the same effect, but the experience was different.

When Maelstrom’s fingers reached her bare butt, Angeline decided his touch already felt colder to her skin, or maybe it was just due to the heated moment passing.

Although they both didn’t want any of this to end, their paradise was already fading fast, along with the moon’s light outside of the cabin. It had probably vanished behind some clouds in the night sky.

Angie almost didn’t see anything anymore. It was Maelstrom taking her hand and placing his other hand on her tailbone ushering her outside. Of course, he would have outstandingly good sight in the dim dark.

As Maelstrom let go of her hand, Angie almost felt rejected. But when she watched him lifting the human parts that once had been Hank, her aching heart felt warm for a grateful moment.

At least she wouldn’t have to get rid of that body now. After finishing his task, Maelstrom reached out for Angeline’s hand again, and although it was stained with coagulated blood, she didn’t hesitate to take it. He guided her towards the back of the yacht, which was still running on autopilot, and
they sat down on the metal rail.

They were now right where Angeline had come aboard. In not so safe distance to the now running engine and behind the large, wood-framed water tank, which was now uncovered.

Angie did her best not to stare at his naked body. This was quite difficult as she could see how it continued to transform, slowly. It was a matter of maybe fifteen minutes until the metamorphosis would be complete. Angeline realized this had been the only reason he hadn’t helped her right away, or why he hadn’t escaped earlier. Maelstrom wouldn’t be able to move let alone fight while in transformation.

Watching this, being allowed to witness this, was a breathtaking experience for Angeline. She couldn’t help but hold his hand with both of hers, squeezing it repeatedly, while she stared in awe.

But with every minute that passed, her hearts felt more and more like it was a crystal slowly building cracks, a crystal that would break the moment he was gone.

Angeline knew right then and there she would do anything to get close to him again. She would return to study marine biology, she would restart training for competitive swimming, she would do anything her mother demanded of her, so her financial funding for her research would be guaranteed. And maybe, with luck, if the ocean and the sirens allowed it, they would see each other again. Angeline would have done anything to prevent the inevitable from happening. The moment still arrived when Maelstrom sat on that railing in his true form and his full length. She knew sea dwellers couldn’t live outside the water for very long without drying out. What was air to those living on land was water to the creatures of the sea.

“This is goodbye then,” she spoke for the first time after she didn’t know for how long, and Maelstrom attempted to smile showing his agreement.

It felt wrong for all the other reasons.

“I know you don’t want me to cry,” Angeline said, and she took a deep breath. “I promise, I’ll do my best not to.” She nodded, and Maelstrom tilted his head to one side, making him appear painfully innocent. “I don’t have seawater to hide them.” Angeline’s voice threatened to break. “I would go with you if I could,” she added, whispering, trying to read an answer from his expression and to listen to the wordless cloud that was his thoughts.

There wasn’t a response to it, and she knew what it meant. There was no way for her to go with him. She wouldn’t be able to live in the sea. The water, the salt, and even the food… she wasn’t made for it. Just as he wasn’t made for living on land.

They were truly star-crossed lovers, who never should have met in the first place.

Angeline was torn between grabbing his face for one final time or to let Maelstrom go without a kiss goodbye. She knew he was waiting for her to act. It was a horrible thing to expect of her. But Angie knew, she would never let go of him if she touched him one more time.

Angeline was desperate to say something that would lessen the pain, but there were no words for that. This was the ultimate disadvantage of the human form of communication, but she told him with her mind.

Maelstrom was taking a part of her with him, one she willingly gave him. She would never again be complete without him and she would carry his memory in its place.

What she witnessed after telling him that made the crystal that was her heart finally break. He touched her cheeks in wonder and confusion, catching tears with his fingertips. Sirens really didn’t truly comprehend what tears were.

Right then at that moment, Angie so desperately wanted to kiss him. Yet, Maelstrom could read in her mind if she did, she would throw herself into the sea, to be with him. If not in life, then in death.

This was insanity, but Angeline realized true love was just that: to give up control, safety, and sanity to fully give oneself to someone. Maybe all of this was just a siren’s spell, but she didn’t care.

Maelstrom saved her once again with one simple gesture. He took Angie’s hand and kissed the back of it gently. After that his mouth hovered above it for a while before he briefly looked at her.

And then, just like that, he was gone.

The splashing sound of Maelstrom diving into the water echoes in Angeline’s head even after minutes had passed.

  10 – Heartless

Angeline only had realized she was still staring at the black ocean when her body started shaking due to the cold. To her it felt as if her basic needs took over as she walked back to the cabin to get a fresh panty out of Roger’s secret compartment and put on a pair of his track pants, a shirt, and some flip-flops she found in one of the other bunks.

After that, Angie went for the bridge.

Although she had never learned to navigate a boat, she knew nowadays that modern yachts like this one, had navigation systems. When she entered the bridge, her attention immediately fell on the large screen, which reminded her of a tablet pc, next to the steering wheel.

She sent out a little prayer it wouldn’t be locked like one.

When she cautiously tapped on the screen with her index finger, the image showing a line with an arrow pointed to the top of the screen. Angie could only imagine that the arrow was her.

After several attempts that made her feel she was playing a game rather than setting a route, Angeline managed to set the course to the last destination, that wasn’t the current one. As the yacht made a U-turn, Angie knew she was heading home – sort of.

Because she wasn’t quite sure if she would hear any signal in Roger’s cabin, and since she didn’t want to spend another night inside there, Angie grabbed the sheets that smelled of Maelstrom and took some blankets from the other cabins to make herself a makeshift bed beneath the steering wheel.

Although her stomach was already churning, Angie didn’t look for something to eat. She was hungry, yes, but she simply didn’t have any appetite. And as she finally fell asleep, she was grateful for it being a deep slumber. She could feel how she was pulled under the surface of what would be a dreamless sleep. And yet, it wasn’t.

In her sleep, Angeline felt as if silk was brushing her skin as if she was wrapped with softness and warmth. Even more so, she felt as if she was home, finally truly at home, and it wasn’t where her parents were. This place was somewhere else, something else. It was foreign to her and yet it felt so familiar. Angie could turn around her own axis easily with just a kick of her legs. She could soar high to where the light was and dive deep into the darkness beneath her.

Yet, this darkness wasn’t terrifying. If Angeline went deep enough – so she somehow knew – this depth would be illuminated by magical light.

A part of her knew she didn’t belong here, she was merely visiting, but another part of her had never felt as much at home as now. That part knew, if it went deep enough, it would finally find a piece of her that had been missing.

Angeline dreamt of diving into the darkness of the ocean. She was following a faint light beneath her. It was luring her deeper into the sea, far deeper than she could swim. Angie felt scared, knowing her body would not survive in the harsh environment below. But she was being pulled towards it. It felt as if her heart was attached to something down there by a string, she could not see. In response to that feeling, Angeline placed her hands onto her chest. Maybe because she wanted to detach herself from it, or maybe so she could grab it and pull it up to her, whatever it was that was down there. To her shocking surprise, there was a hole in her chest where her heart should be.

Angie sat up straight, wide awake, panting rapidly. The images and experiences of her dream haunting her, as she gasped for air.

Had all of this been a dream? Or had she been with Maelstrom at the beginning of it?

Because it had felt like she wasn’t alone.

Angie realized it hadn’t been her dream waking her up as she now heard heavy footsteps on the deck. The jolt, which made her wake up, wasn’t from the shock of her heart missing in her chest, but from another vessel nudging the yacht.

Angeline instantly was on her feet, but she didn’t even get the chance to put on the fl
ipflops or look for a hiding spot because at that very moment she locked eyes with the wannabe-Greek-God and boss to all the men who had died.

Instinctively Angie turned around, looking for a way to run but the man who was standing inside that door filled it out completely. If Roger had been a bear this man was King Kong: hairy, dark, brute looking, and a mountain of muscle. He could break her in two, that she was sure of.

So, Angie turned back towards the boss of the entire endeavor, regretting she hadn’t thought of taking the scalpel with her. If she had, she would at least have to take that piece of shit with her.

“Where are they?” the boss asked.

His face was void of any expression, which was worse than if it had shown any anger.

“Dead,” Angie answered, attempting to mirror the exact expression, even though it probably wouldn’t make any difference.

“Dead?” The Greek god impersonator repeated that one word in disbelief.

Angie didn’t know if she should give any kind of confirmation, as in a nod, or stay still not to vex him. Somehow she had the feeling her sheer presence was enough to make that man furious.

  Maybe she had been wrong.

Maybe bearish Roger and shark-faced Hank hadn’t been secret lovers, but Hank and this guy were.

Where else would the boss take a nap or ‘talk’ to the crew members if not in the biggest bunk of the yacht?

Suddenly, Hank, who probably as pseudo-Greek god’s little bitch, and he was now mourning his loss with nothing less than divine wrath.

Before Greasy-hair could grab her by the throat with one hand, Angeline had already made a step back. The hand grabbed nothing but air, and Angie quickly moved further away from the boss, just to find her back colliding with King Kong. Instantly, she froze, so that animal of a man wouldn’t be the one to choke her instead.
