Secrets With the Billionaire Page 3

by Noelle Keaton

“You’ve been hurt before, I get it. I’ve been there too. But don’t use that as an excuse not to go with what’s happening between us here and now.”

Tim’s tone was slightly taunting, daring even. Before Connor could respond, Tim kissed him again, this time with more insistence. With an involuntary moan, Connor surrendered, cupping Tim’s face in his hands while parting his lips in response to the gentle pressure from Tim’s tongue.

The minty taste of the vodka tonic lingered on Tim’s mouth. It drove Connor wild as he alternately licked and nipped the full lips that he’d been fantasizing about since their first meeting. His cock swelled further as the kiss deepened and their tongues became even more entangled.

Connor ran his hand through Tim’s thick hair, which felt just as soft and silky as it looked. It made quite the contrast to the hardness of their erections, which bumped as the two men grinded their hips against each other.

Connor didn’t notice his pants being unzipped or his cock being freed until Tim pulled himself away from their kiss. “Huh?” Connor mumbled, trying to bring Tim back for another delicious kiss.

However, Tim winked and sank to his knees, pulling Connor’s pants and briefs down with him.

“We should stop,” Connor said in a strangled voice. Although stopping was the last thing he wanted to do, he knew there would be no going back if the two of them crossed this particular threshold.

Tim rubbed his thumb over the head of Connor’s dick, already slick with precum. “You really want to stop after we’ve already come this far? Don’t you want to see what I can do?” Tim made tiny concentric circles with his fingers around the head of Connor’s cock and then spreading the sticky wetness over the entire length of it.

“That’s not a fair question when you’re doing that to me,” Connor answered in response.

He could practically feel the steam come out of his ears when Tim started sucking on his erection. Instinctively, he rocked his hips and thrust in and out of Tim’s mouth, burying his hands in Tim’s luxurious mane.

Suddenly, Tim stopped his ministrations, causing Connor to almost keel over. “What the fuck?” he asked, gasping for air.

Tim’s lips curved into a wicked smile. “So, what were you saying about us needing to stop? Still feel that way?”

“You son of a bitch!” Connor forcefully pulled Tim’s face back into his crotch. “You started this, and you damn well better believe I’m going to make you finish it.”

“Your wish is my command,” Tim murmured before his mouth sank down onto Connor’s dick once again.

Connor had never felt such a velvety heat encase his hard-on. He vaguely because aware of Tim pulling his own dick out of his pants. It wasn’t long before he was able to match the rhythm of his thrusts to that of Tim’s strokes.

His grip on Tim’s hair tightened as he neared his orgasm. When he could no longer take the pressure of the tight suction created by Tim’s mouth, Connor groaned and let go. He emptied thick streams of cum into Tim, who enthusiastically swallowed while stroking himself to his own climax.

Connor pulled Tim to his feet, and they kissed again, this time gentle and tender. Without breaking contact, he led Tim to the bedroom, each of them tugging and pulling at the other’s clothes until they were both naked by the time they arrived.

Tim’s body was just as perfect as he’d imagined, with tanned, muscular biceps, pecs, and glutes that seemed to radiate health and earthy sensuality. Connor stared down at his own thin limbs and pale skin, which made the redness of the scar marking the incision from the quadruple bypass stand out all the more. He’d been applying a vitamin E cream to help it blend in with the rest of his skin tone, but so far, it remained an ugly, vivid reminder of his illness.

As if reading his mind, Tim touched his chest, lightly fingering the scar. “Don’t be self-conscious. Think of it as a medal of honor, showing how you triumphed over the heart attack.”

“It’s one honor I wish I hadn’t earned, although I should have seen it coming. My grandfather died of a heart attack in his forties, and my father had three of them by the time he was in his fifties.”

Why the hell did I tell him that? Connor wondered, but Tim’s face brightened, as if appreciating the candor and honesty. “So, it’s a hereditary thing? Are you scared you’ll have another heart attack?”

The questions reminded Connor that Tim was a journalist and he needed to be careful of what he said. However, the time for caution had come and gone. There was nothing left to do now except complete the sexual journey they’d started.

Ignoring Tim’s questions, Connor steered him toward the bed. He pulled back the bedspread, and they slipped between the sheets, lying so they faced each other. Tim snuggled up to him and kissed his neck. Though only minutes had passed since his orgasm, Connor was hard again, and he pressed his erection against Tim’s thigh. They rocked and rubbed their cocks together until both were slick and wet with precum.

“Please tell me you have a condom,” Connor whispered, feeling like he’d collapse if Tim said he didn’t. Though he was usually prepared for chance encounters like this, sex had been the last thing on his mind when he booked this trip. He hadn’t anticipated doing anything other than focusing on his recovery and building up his strength.

Tim groaned. “I didn’t bring any. I’m vacationing with my parents and my pain-in-the-ass brother and sister. I didn’t think I’d be needing condoms.”

“Stay right there, don’t move,” Connor ordered, springing from of the bed. He went to the bathroom just off the bedroom, faintly remembering the bellman mentioning something about assorted toiletries when describing the suite’s amenities. After ransacking three drawers, Connor found both condoms and lube. He returned to the bedroom, waving the items in triumph. “Look what I’ve got!”

“I figured a suite as nice as this one would have a lousy condom,” Tim grumbled. “Hurry up and get it on and fuck me!”

“Whatever you say.” But Connor didn’t rush as he squeezed the lube onto two of his fingers. He rolled Tim onto his stomach and planted a row of kisses down the man’s back while sliding his lubed fingers inside Tim’s hole, teasing it open.

Tim gasped, spreading his legs wider. “Damn, that feels good.”

“You’re so tight. Let me know if I hurt you.”

“Nothing’s going to hurt. It’s all so good.” Tim arched his ass higher, increasing Connor’s access and allowing him to go deeper. He slid his fingers in and out, alternately scissoring and rotating until the tense muscles started to give way and relax.

He saw Tim undulating and rubbing his erection against the sheets. “Hey, slow down, what’s your hurry? You have somewhere else to be?”

“Can’t help it.” Tim’s words were muffled because he spoke them into the bed. “You’re making me so crazy, I need to find a release.”

Connor gave him a hard smack on his ass.

“Ow!” Tim jerked his head up and turned to glare at Connor, but Connor caught a hint of excitement there.

“That’s what you get for starting without me.”

“Then you need to hurry up and put your giant dick in me, because I don’t think I can last much longer.”

Connor unwrapped the foil, slid on the condom, and added some extra lube to it. Then he placed his hands on Tim’s hips and arched the ass upward so he could enter in one smooth thrust. Both men moved simultaneously, with Tim pushing back as Connor propelled himself forward. The tight fit almost made it seem like they were one entity.

Connor reached around to grip Tim’s cock, which was wet from the steady stream of precum. He caressed it at the same pace his cock plunged into Tim’s ass.

“Faster!” Tim shouted. “I don’t want to wait anymore, I can’t!”

Connor squeezed the base of Tim’s dick, wanting to make this last as long as possible. “You feel so good, so incredible.”

“It’s never been this fucking sensational. Don’t stop,” Tim panted in a hoarse voic
e.

Connor didn’t want to, but he felt his release coming on again, and there was no way he could delay it. Letting go of Tim’s cock, Connor used both hands to grip Tim’s hips again, pumping with a speed he never imagined possible.

Tim let out a loud yell, signaling his orgasm. Connor quickly followed suit, groaning when his cock gave a final shudder and then released spurt after spurt of cum into the condom.

Both men collapsed onto the bed, breathing heavily. Connor reluctantly slid out of Tim and removed the condom, tied it up, and dropped it in a nearby wastebasket. Tim snuggled up to him and kissed his shoulder before lying alongside him.

“That was terrific,” he said in a dreamy tone.

“You bet your ass it was.” Connor wrapped his arms around Tim, hoping to trap and keep the sexual warmth between them as long as possible. Because when it disappeared, the two of them would have some tough decisions to confront about where the hell they went from here.

  Chapter Five

  “How did the interview go?”

Damn it. Tim had hoped to reenter the suite and go straight to his room without having to answer any questions. Since it was well past midnight, he figured everyone would be asleep by now. Except Caleb, watching television from the sofa, ruined that hope.

Tim collapsed onto the loveseat, dangling his long legs over its arm. “Why aren’t you in bed with your wife?”

“I can’t sleep, and all my tossing and turning was getting on Rochelle’s nerves. I thought watching some TV would help me feel drowsy.”

“Fess up. You and Roch had a fight and she kicked you out, didn’t she?” From the way Caleb’s jaw clenched, Tim knew he’d struck a nerve, so he changed the subject. “But to answer your question, my interview went fine. More than fine, in fact.”

“Oh really?” Caleb raised his eyebrows. “So it was worth missing a family dinner?”

“Definitely. I got a scoop that will likely get me a raise and allow me to pay you back for this trip.”

Caleb let out a low whistle. “No wonder you were gone so long. Jill said that you had probably hooked up with one of the locals and forgotten about us.”

Tim felt his ears heat up. His sister always had a knack for making predictions that hit a little too close to home. “Nope, tonight was all about business.”

If Jill had been there, she’d have immediately caught on to Tim’s lie and tried to get more details out of him. Thankfully, Caleb just nodded and said, “Glad it worked out.”

Tim tried to watch television with Caleb, but since it was in Spanish, it didn’t make much sense to him. “I think I’ll hit the hay. I figure if I go to breakfast and hang out with you guys in the morning, no one will give me any shit for taking the afternoon to work on my story.”

Caleb shrugged. “You know as well as I do that Jill will have a fit. She wants us to spend practically every moment of every day of this vacation together.”

“She’ll understand,” Tim said with a lot more confidence than he actually felt. He told his brother goodnight and went to his room.

Only after stripping out of his clothes and getting between the sheets did Tim think about what had taken place over the last few hours. He’d left Connor sleeping in his bed, taking special care not to wake him for reasons Tim still didn’t understand. He told himself he wanted to get back to his room before any of his family noticed just how long he’d been gone. But deep down, Tim knew he merely wanted to avoid a “morning after” conversation with Connor and the impact it could have on the story he wanted to write.

I am going to write a story, Tim told himself, but with a lot less certainty than he’d felt only six hours earlier. He’d never turned on the recorder again after Connor confessed to having a heart attack. Tim cursed himself for drinking those vodka tonics. Without them, maybe he could have kept his eyes on landing an exclusive interview with a billionaire who hadn’t spoken to the press in years. Instead, the drinks loosened Tim’s inhibitions and caused him to act on his attraction to Connor.

As he drifted to sleep, Tim thought maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. People fucked each other and then worked together all the time. His last conscious thoughts were hopes that he and Connor could follow this same pattern.

  ****

By three o’clock the next afternoon, Tim had completed a rough draft of his article. From a table in the outside bar where he first met Connor, Tim e-mailed a copy to his editor, Matt, at the Chronicle.

Matt called him back about twenty minutes after he’d sent it. “Are you serious?”

  “As a heart attack.”

He listened to Matt groan at the pun. “Spare me. You got solid confirmation on this?”

“I recorded Connor saying that he had the heart attack. The rest of the stuff about the possible impact on Albright Software Media is what I researched on my own here in Cedros. Once I get back to Philly, I’ll be able to firm it up by talking to other Albright insiders. I just wanted to get something to you now so you’d have it in the pipeline.”

“Good thinking. But we’ll still have to run this through Legal.”

“Of course.” Tim sighed, knowing the Chronicle’s attorneys would do their best to gut his article in the name of protecting the paper from lawsuits.

“Do you have anything else from Albright other than his copping to the heart attack and the surgery?”

“That’s not enough?” Tim asked, his tone defensive because he knew the point Matt was about to make.

“It’s a scoop, don’t get me wrong. And Shelby’s going to be thrilled with how much publicity this will generate for the Chronicle,” Matt said, referring to the publisher. “But I was thinking more along the lines of your career. You’re going to get a lot of attention from this article. If you could get Connor to open up a little more, the story would be a lot stronger.”

You could have done that last night if you hadn’t been so busy getting fucked by him, Tim’s subconscious scolded, but he ignored it. “I did the best I could,” he said, crossing the fingers of his right hand. “Connor was reluctant to do the interview in the first place. I didn’t want to push too far and have him back out altogether.”

“Now that the ice has been broken, see if you can try to get him to do another sit-down,” Matt urged. “Try to get him to discuss how the surgery affected his outlook and how that might shape Albright Software Media’s future.”

“I’ll try, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to….” Tim stopped when he felt a warm hand on his shoulder. He turned around and almost dropped his phone when he saw Connor standing there. “I’ll call you back,” he said and clicked the end button before Matt could say another word.

Connor looked amused by Tim’s haste. “I didn’t mean to interrupt. I hope that wasn’t anyone important.”

“No, it wasn’t.” Immediately, Tim mentally kicked himself. If he’d told Connor he’d been talking to his editor, it would have been the perfect segue into finishing the interview. Instead, looking into Connor’s deep blue eyes, Tim couldn’t think about anything except how good it had felt to kiss Connor and have his dick deep inside of him.

“Can I sit down?” Connor asked, gesturing to an adjacent chair, and Tim nodded. “I took a chance that I might find you here again, since this is where we met yesterday.”

“I’m supposed to be taking scuba lessons with my family, but being underwater for more than a couple of minutes isn’t my thing. I prefer staying on dry land and above sea level whenever possible.” Tim knew he sounded like a babbling idiot, but Connor’s intense, steady stare unnerved him. He started to signal the bartender for another drink, but remembered that’s how the interview got derailed last night.

“I’d been meaning to ask what you were doing here on Cedros. I figured your running into me here was by chance, since I didn’t even know I was going to come here until the last minute.”

“My parents are celebrating their fortieth wedding anniversary. I’m here with them—along with my brother, sister, an
d their spouses—to celebrate it.”

“Forty years, that’s quite an accomplishment.” Connor nodded, as if giving his seal of approval, which thrilled Tim for some silly reason. “They didn’t mind you taking off to interview me?”

“My sister did,” Tim admitted. “But my parents and brother were more understanding. They saw how important it was for my career.”

A waiter came over, and Connor ordered a club soda before turning back to Tim. “And how does what happened last night fit into what happens with the interview?”

Unsure of what Connor was asking, Tim knew he had to tread lightly. “Sleeping with the subject of my article is not something that’s ever happened to me before. I’m sort of in unchartered territory here.” Tim let out a little laugh, but Connor’s face remained somber. He waited until the waiter brought Connor his drink and left before continuing. “I’m sure by now you’ve probably had me checked out, and you know I’ve been at the Chronicle for five years. While I may not have as much experience as some of the journalists who have interviewed you, I hope you can tell from my work that I’m thorough but fair. You can expect the same treatment in the article I will write about you.”

“Then you intend to go through with it? Even after last night, you plan to write the article on me? You didn’t even finish the interview!”

“I was hoping to get the chance to do so tonight.”

“Oh, did you now?” While Connor’s voice sounded indignant, Tim believed he detected a note of amusement, so he decided to press on.

“We’re both mature and professional individuals. I don’t think what ended up happening between us last night has to interfere with the original purpose of our getting together.”

“You’ve got a one-track mind, I’ll give you that.” Connor’s gaze turned down toward his club soda. “Is there some reason why you left without saying good-bye or leaving a note?”
