"Shut up," Laurence muttered. He dipped his head and bit sharply at Rathanael's throat, then worked his way steadily down Rathanael's body, exploring slowly and thoroughly, putting that hungry mouth to excellent use.
When he reached Rathanael's cock, he mouth it through the lace, tongue pushing, teeth teasing.
"Do you have something slick?" Rathanael asked roughly. "Or do I need to obtain it?"
Laurence gave him an unimpressed look, and after a last teasing nip, rolled away and fetched a jar of lube from his nightstand. Rathanael took it, then pushed Laurence into the bedding before finally removing his panties.
Slicking his fingers, he wrapped one hand around Laurence's cock and bent to kiss him as he stroked. "So how often do you let people fuck you?"
"I've never let anyone do anything. I tell them to do it. You seem to be under some mistaken assumption—"
"You're protesting too much, Rapunzel."
"Don't call me that," Laurence hissed. "I'm not a fairy tale. If you're really hoping to fuck me, this is the wrong way to go about it."
Rathanael kissed him again, sliding slick fingers away from Laurence's cock and further back, pushing one finger deep into his hole, swallowing the startled cry that elicited—and relishing the hands that came up to grip his shoulders. Drawing back the barest bit, he said, "May I fuck you?"
At first, he thought Laurence wouldn't reply. Then it seemed like he might say no. Rarely had Rathanael ever seen an aura in such tumult—human warring with demon, a lifetime of being in control, of always needing to be above others and commanding them, battling with the remains of a human who might have turned out completely opposite, the two combining into someone who was happy both dominating utterly and submitting completely.
But the submission was not given lightly.
Finally, just as Rathanael was about to withdraw and offer to be fucked instead, or to stop completely, Laurence said, "Yes. But don't make me regret this, angel."
"I promise to be as true and worthy to you as I am to the Light." He cut off Laurence's scathing retort with another kiss and added another finger to his hole, stretching and teasing, stopping only when Laurence was trembling in his arms and offering up soft whimpers that were sweeter than any words.
Withdrawing the fingers, Rathanael lined up his cock and pushed in steadily. He groaned as he entered completely. "It's been so long since I've done this, I'd forgotten how good it feels."
"It had better be more than good, or you'll be regretting it later," Laurence replied, and rolled his hips, making Rathanael groan again. "Get to work, or am I going to have to show you how it's done?"
"It hasn't been that long," Rathanael said, and pulled out nearly all the way before slamming back, repeating the motion over and over, holding off his own release until Laurence had come not once but twice, looking utterly wrecked, drenched with sweat and covered in his own come, skin flushed, eyes dazed with lust and release and overstimulation.
Only then, as Laurence moaned his name, did Rathanael finally slam into him one last time and spill. The world whited out around him, and he thought he heard Laurence swear, but for several seconds that seemed like hours, all he knew was the pleasure of release and the feel and smell of his lover.
Finally he calmed and gently withdrew from Laurence's body before collapsing alongside him. He pressed a kiss to Laurence's shoulder. "Do I pass muster, as you humans say?"
"I'm not exactly human, but yes. You definitely pass muster, stubborn bastard."
"You're definitely human. Does someone with any other disease become that disease? No, they have measles. That's one, right? That doesn't mean they are measles."
For a single, brief moment, it looked as though Laurence might cry. But in the next moment, the iron control that had saved Laurence's humanity banished the almost-tears. "You're the first one to say it that way."
"I am sorry no one else thought to. Not even Silenus?"
"I don't think that's how Silenus sees the world, if that makes any sense."
"Fair enough." Rathanael turned onto his side and draped himself half-over Laurence, savoring the heat of his body and the way he smelled of them and sex. "Do you play with Silenus?"
"Occasionally. He's a bit too much like me in tastes for us to play often."
Rathanael smiled. "Ah. I bet it's quite the delight to play with the incubus—Rex, I believe? Yes. I bet you enjoy him."
Laurence gave him a look that was wary and amused. "Is this what you always do? Fuck people and then immediately ask about their other lovers?"
"No, sorry. My intent was to say that while I certainly agree that we are lovers, I do not hold with the predominant human preference for exclusive couples. And I would never think to deprive you of what you need, in any case." He kissed Laurence softly but firmly. "How does Silenus say it? Love one, and love many."
That got him a soft, pretty smile that left him breathless. "Yes, that is more or less the motto of the permanent exhibits."
"It's a good one. I will have to leave from time to time to execute my duties, but I hope you will permit me to return to your tower, my prince?"
Laurence swatted his ass, making it sting ever so slightly. "Stop being a brat." More gruffly, he added, "Of course you can come and go as you please."
"Good, I—" Rathanael sat up. "We have company."
Laurence sat up as well, just as a knock came at the door. "Come in."
Silenus pushed the door open, and smiled tiredly. He looked like he hadn't slept in at least a month, and his clothes would likely have to be thrown out—but his aura looked at peace, if a bit ragged. Coming in to stand beside him was Rex, who looked equally exhausted.
"All is well?" Rathanael asked.
"Yes." Silenus shoved his hair out of his face. "I wanted to let you both know that all is well and everyone is resting. Tomorrow we will move to our new location." He started to say more, but the words were overtaken by a yawn.
Rex said for him, "We wanted to make sure the two of you were doing well." He smirked. "Answer seems pretty obvious, though."
Laurence rolled his eyes. "I was going to invite you to clean up and join us, as it looks like you could use the rest, but if you're going to be an ass, the invitation is rescinded."
Pouting exaggeratedly, Rex replied, "What if I promised to thank you in the morning?"
"You say that like we don't all know very well that you'll wake up only after I've put you over my dresser and started fucking you."
Rex shivered visibly, and beside him, Silenus gave a tired but genuine laugh. "In the morning." He gave Rex a playful shove, and moments later they had vanished into Laurence's bathroom.
By the time they reemerged, Laurence was fast asleep. The already large bed seemed to grow even further as Silenus settled on Laurence's other side, and Rex behind him. "I'm glad you finally came," Silenus said. "I was beginning to worry about him."
"All as the Light wills," Rathanael said, and doused the lights with a flicker of power. Once they'd gotten settled, he started singing a low, soft tune that sent them quickly into restful, healing sleep, and enjoyed listening to the steady thump of three hearts beating in time with the distant sounds of the holy choir that sang eternally for Light and life.

Coming Soon – The Gallery, Volume Two: the Special Exhibits
Welcome to the Gallery, where you can admire hundreds of beautiful paintings, and perhaps find what you didn't know you were looking for…
In these rooms you will find the Special Exhibits, those paintings which remain at the Gallery only temporarily. Their time here can range from weeks to decades—even centuries. But they do eventually leave, so admire while you can. The subjects of these paintings come from all walks of life, from lonely individuals seeking respite while they await their true love, all the way to dangerous beings captured by the Curator or given to him for safekeeping until such time as they can be trusted out in the world again.
Today's featured Special Exhibits
include: The Assassin, about a killer on the run, and a painting of a man who once chose surrender over murder; The Lion and the Mouse, where a grouchy accountant escapes the snow only to find himself on a beach with an ancient gladiator; The Gargoyle is a beautiful, erotic statue not for the faint of heart; Shapeless brings a new and rather unique guest to the gallery when he is bequeathed to Silenus by a dead alchemist; and finally, in Fallen Soldier, a man escaping his kidnappers hides behind a statue of an unusual being who once betrayed a dying kingdom…
Author's Note: Two of these stories were freebies on my website. They have been edited for re-release, and received minor changes, but nothing major.
