I also want to mention the books:
Tatl’ahwt’aenn Nenn’ = The Headwaters People’s Country. Narratives of the Upper Ahtna Athabaskans, by James Kari
HAMMERSTONES: A History of the Tr’ondek Hwech’in, by Helene Dobrowlosky.
One of the unfortunate aspects of research is that you can’t include everything in the story. Hopefully what I have written intrigues people enough to dig further into the background. These are among a few of the great resources of the First Peoples living in the interior of Alaska and Canada.
I would also like to acknowledge the friends and family who agreed to beta-read this tale. Their comments and feedback shaped this story. And of course, the lovely ladies of my writing (yoga) support group who gave their encouragement through the tough year that was 2019!
Thanks for reading. I hope to continue the story of Ulrik and Rose as they scour the interior of Alaska on the hunt for the “Tailed-Men.”
