He was talking to both of them. Both of his lovers. Both of his loves.
A warmth spread from the depth of his gut as Ty tensed in his arms and groaned loudly, his expression distorting with his release.
A few long seconds later, Ty relaxed his tight muscles and moved from between their legs to collapse on the blanket. He disposed of the condom in one of the empty food bags and then tucked an arm under his head.
Logan and Quinn moved to his side. Quinn stretched out next to Ty and laid her head on his chest. Logan spooned her from behind, his arm draped over her hip to lace his fingers with hers.
A sense of peace washed over him.
For the longest time, no one said a word. They lay together, the soothing rhythm of their breathing the only sound in the room.
“We have a proposition for you,” Logan finally said, breaking the silence.
“Hmmm?” Quinn's sleepy response made Logan smile.
He leaned over and met Ty's gaze. Ty gave him a small nod.
“Quinn, this is serious.”
“Okay. What's this proposition? Or is it just another new position?”
“We want you to come make your home with us.”
“What? Wait. I confessed my love to you, making me vulnerable, but I didn't hear any declarations of undying love from either of you two.”
“Do you have any doubt we love you?”
“Well, I've heard you tell each other. Why not me?”
“Okay…” Logan gave her a soft kiss, murmuring against her lips, “Quinn, I love you.”
Quinn turned to look at Ty. He smiled at her, brushing his lips over her forehead. “I love you too, Quinn. I never thought I could love anyone else other than Logan. I was wrong.”
“Okay, but even so. Don't you think it's too soon?”
“No. Not at all. This feels right. And it's more than that.”
“More?”
“We don't want you just to live here. I…we”—Logan corrected himself—“want you to manage our business.”
“But I'm good at my job. It pays pretty well.”
“You can have a share of the farm. If you'd like, you can do consultations on the side for some extra cash. We'll set an office up for you. Our business is growing; we'd like you to be a part of that.”
“We'd like you to be a part of our lives,” Ty added.
“This is serious…” she whispered.
“Quinn, stay with us forever,” Logan said. He fought back the panic that she might say no. A thought popped into his head. “I dare you.”
“I double dare you,” Ty said.
Quinn's answering laughter filled the room.
Both men joined in.
Jeanne St. James
Jeanne St. James loves to write about an Alpha Male (or two) who knows what he wants, when he wants it, and how to get it. Nothing turns her on more than a man in uniform, whether it's a police officer, a Federal agent, or even a pro football player.
She started writing when she was about 13 years old and found it great therapy. Over her high school years she wrote her first book, a raw, young adult novel about a young girl growing up in a gang. Alas, that manuscript is now forever lost (which may be a good thing, actually). During this time she read loads of books, most of them historical romances and contemporary category romances. She fell in love with the genre and has been writing ever since.
Jeanne now concentrates on erotic romance. Why? Because it’s a blast. There’s nothing like a hot, spicy romance to get your juices flowing. But she still likes the HEA (happily ever after) ending. She believes a romance can involve more than just a man and a woman, so she writes ménage a trois, and, occasionally, stories including two men. Love and sex can be sizzling in any combination!
Her first published erotica piece was a fantasy short story in the July 2006 issue of Playgirl, which was titled “The Hot Ride.”
