Thankfully, Miles was actually trying to romance me, so he respected the fact that I refused sex right now.
“You’re lying like fuck,” he mumbled and shook his head, before turning straight in his seat and looking out the window.
I didn’t know how to convince him, so I thought it was best to attempt to distract him. Reaching into his lap, I released his dick, and he just leaned back some, watching me. I got on my knees in my seat, and leaned over into his lap to take his dick into my mouth. I bobbed up and down slowly, making sure to swirl my tongue around the head the way he liked. When I heard him moaning softly and subtly, I went harder, making it nice and sloppy for him. I kept up my pace and soon enough, he was spilling his seeds into my mouth.
I took it down, and then lifted my dress, pulling my panties to the side. Straddling his lap, I pushed myself down onto him and started to bounce. His hands caressed my body as I tried to get use to his size, which was filling me up. It was painful but pleasurable as well, so I kept going.
“I’m gonna cum,” I whimpered, licking my lips before kissing him.
He started to hump upward, killing me until we both exploded. Hugging my body tightly, he kissed on my collarbone and neck while still inside of me.
“Cassie, baby, I need you right now.”
Hearing him say that made me realize that what I was doing to him was wrong. I shouldn’t be taking him along for the ride, while I dealt with my problems. I needed to let him go. He had enough shit on his plate, and didn’t need a girlfriend who could only be there for him twenty percent of the time.
I climbed off of him, and he stared at me with his lips parted in confusion as he put his dick up. He was so adorable. The thought of ending what we had caused tears to come up before I even spoke. I loved being his girlfriend, and Melody loved hanging with him.
“Umm, I think it’s best that we don’t see each other anymore.”
“Wait, what the fuck is you talking about? Did we not just get done fucking?” He fixed himself.
“I’m just too busy, Kordell. And I need to focus on my career and my baby right now. This was never supposed to happen anyway, remember?”
“Cassie—”
“I don’t wanna be with you anymore! And look what you did to my manager! Just take me back to the house!” I cried. I was crying because I didn’t want to do what I was doing.
He just nodded coolly as he cranked his car back up. He drove back to The Model mansion, which didn’t take long because we didn’t make it too far. When he pulled up in the driveway, he didn’t look at me, so after a while of just staring at him, I got out. I stood there in the driveway as he peeled out, and right after he did, the front door opened.
“Jude, I’m so sorry about—”
“We’ll have a talk about it tomorrow, Cassie. Come inside if you’re gonna come.”
“Yeah, okay.”
I went into the house, and then up to my room where Laine was. She was watching something on her laptop, and spreading lotion over her body.
Not in the mood for anything, I climbed under the covers of my bed, and cried silently until I fell asleep.
***
Around 7:15am the next morning…
I turned my alarm off, and went into the bathroom for a hot shower. I then brushed my teeth, before going back out into the bedroom to lotion and get dressed. Once I was good to go, I left the house so I could go to my mother’s and cook breakfast for Melody.
After stopping by the grocery store for a few things, I made it to my mother’s condo and got right to work. As I whipped up the pancakes for Melody, I heard my phone beep and for some reason, I was hoping it was Kordell. No matter what he said, I couldn’t be with him so I didn’t know why I was yearning for his texts.
When I picked it up, I saw it was Miles.
Miles: Gonna be here at 11:30 right babe?
Me: Yep…
I threw my phone down onto the table, and gripped the edges of the counter to take a deep breath. I didn’t want to cry, especially not with my daughter here. I just didn’t want to be with him at all, and the fact that right now I had to be made me want to scream and cry like a child.
Day in and day out, the wheels in my head turned, trying to come up with a way for me to keep my baby and not be with this nigga. But every time, I only came up with just fighting him in court. And Miles was right, they’d most likely choose him since he was an established lawyer, older, and had a clean record. I was a young model who had stolen our child for months.
“Mommy—”
“Oh!” I grabbed my chest at the sound of Melody’s little voice. “Baby, you scared me,” I chuckled with a heavy breath as she rushed to me.
“Sorry! Pancakes?”
“Yes, pancakes. Sit down and I will deliver your plate princess.”
“Okay!” she rushed and sat down.
I made her plate of pancakes, eggs, and a sausage patty, then made the same for myself. After getting some orange juice for us both, I sat at the table with Melody to pray.
“Mommy, I miss Delly. Can Daddy meet him now?” Melody pouted.
“Umm, no, baby, not yet. Kordell won’t be coming around much anymore, Melody. He had to go.”
“Go where?” her voice trembled as she dropped her kiddie fork. Tears welled up in her little eyes as she waited for my answer. This was exactly why I didn’t want her meeting him.
“He umm, he didn’t say but he had to leave, baby. He told me to tell you that he still cares about you a lot, okay?”
“Did I make him mad?” she whimpered.
“Melody,” I sighed, trying not to cry. “No, you didn’t make him mad. I think I’m the one who made him angry, baby.”
“Be nice and get him back, Mommy,” she cried.
“Okay, okay, shhh, Melody.” I thumbed her tears away. “I’m gonna bring him back, okay? Just give me a little time.”
She nodded and stabbed some of her pancakes before shoving them into her mouth.
What the fuck was I gonna do?
After we ate our breakfast, I bathed Melody, brushed her teeth, and got her ready. By that time my mom was up, so we watched some TV for a little bit as Melody played with her toys. Before I knew it, it was time to go meet her father at this condo he’d found all the way out in fucking Marina Del Rey.
It took about half an hour to get there with no traffic, and I hated it. However, the deal was that I got to keep Melody, but I would have to drive to see him and not the other way around. So even if he lived in San Diego, I was gonna come, because I wanted to have Melody with me at all times.
Once Melody and I arrived to Miles’s place, I parked inside of the structure and then we went up to the unit he stayed in.
“Daddy!” Melody beamed as he scooped her up.
I came in behind them as he carried her, kissing her small face. As soon as he put her down, she ran to her new dollhouse she’d gotten a couple weeks ago and started playing.
“So hey, sit down.” He came back to me. I took a seat on the couch, and he did as well, before leaning over to kiss my lips. I gave him an awkward smile afterwards. “I got you something.” He pulled a red box from his pocket.
“Miles, what is—”
“I want you to know that I’m serious about giving us another try. I think we should make the family official.”
“Like get married?”
“Yeah, get married. And then maybe we can have a Melody part two,” he grinned. My stomach churned like butter at the thought. All I could think about was how badly I wanted to be with Kordell.
“I umm, maybe we should just keep dating for a little longer and see if we even want to be together really, Miles.”
“I don’t need that. I’m forty-five, and I love you, Cassie. Plus, do you honestly think I’m gonna stand by and let you be with another man? I mean the guy you were dating before I found you was lucky he got what he got.”
“Miles—”
“Melody and I are a packaged deal, Cassan
dra. If you want her, then you have to take me too. And taking me means being my wife.”
“My h-hand, Miles,” I whined because he was squeezing it so hard it was about to break.
“Oh, and I have some people watching that mother of yours. She was always so beautiful. It’d be a shame to lose her.” He chuckled before getting serious again and saying, “Marry me, Cassie.”
I nodded my head ‘yes’, and he smiled before releasing my hand. I couldn’t help but to yelp in pain as I held it tightly, trying to massage the pain out. He rose to his feet as I watched him with a deep glare, and then he made his way to Melody to watch her play.
God, please help me find a way out.
Laine
I was sitting in the kitchen of The Model mansion, eating my breakfast. A few of the girls were still asleep because they had gone somewhere late last night. And I guess wherever they went didn’t want Cassie, Kady, Rita, or me. As I put the last little bit of pancakes into my mouth, my phone chimed and I looked down to see a name I hadn’t seen on my phone in months.
Tarik: You still here?
Me: No, I been left.
Tarik: Ya new nigga is a bitch ma. I got something for his ass if he comes back to my city.
Me: Lmao! A bitch? Says the guy who was on the floor crying after getting punched. And it’s funny how you made sure he and I weren’t in Chicago before talking shit. Keep texting me and I’ll have him fly out there and finish what he started.
Of course I got no reply, even after waiting ten minutes for one.
I took a deep breath before getting up and going to talk to Jude. I knew he was still angry about getting decked by Kordell last night, especially after Kordell’s older brother, aka Mischief pulled a gun on him prior to that.
I was hoping to convince Jude to allow Cassie, Kady, and I to move into the nice ass apartment Erynne was currently staying in. I’d paid the rent for it this month, and even though my money was much better than it used to be, and Mischief’s uncle gave me a hefty discount, I wasn’t rich. Splitting the rent with Cassie, Kady, and eventually Erynne would be a big relief. The only problem now was convincing Jude to let us leave the home while still under contract.
“Hey, are you busy?” I knocked on Jude’s office door, which was cracked.
“Umm, always busy,” he half smiled. “But I’ve been looking to speak with you anyway.” He closed up some folders and placed them to the side. “Is Cassie here?”
“Oh, umm, no, she had to… go to an appointment… for her teeth.”
“Okay.” He checked his eye out in some small mirror. It looked really bad. Kordell probably didn’t even punch him that hard, but because he was so much taller and muscular than little Jude, he still fucked him up. “We have some things to talk about, Laine. I planned to have this conversation with you and Cassie at the same time, but since she’s not here again, I will just talk with you now.” He turned from the mirror to look at me. “I am a very established man and have worked hard all of my life to gain the respect that I have. By saying that, I don’t appreciate your boyfriend coming to my door late at night, pulling a gun on me. Then he proceeded to barge in here, scaring the other ladies. That’s not okay, Laine.”
“No, it’s not and I’m sorry. He’s sorry too. He told me to tell you that,” I lied. You know damn well Mischief didn’t apologize and would probably blow a fuse if he knew I was telling Jude he had.
“I don’t accept. Usually I would terminate your contract at this point Laine, and leave you to continue to find work on your own. It may seem like you can do it without me, but trust, you won’t be able to. You haven’t established yourself enough yet.”
Someone asked for my picture at the mall, I wanted to say, but I just kept quiet. I wasn’t quite ready to stop working with Jude. He had a lot of connections and had gotten me a lot of jobs I wouldn’t have even known about, had I not come out here to be a part of his team.
“Yes, I know, but Jude, I—”
“I’m not going to terminate you, Laine. You nor Cassie, but only because you guys have been making me and yourselves a lot of money.”
“Hey, well I was thinking that maybe Cassie and I could move out. That way when our boyfriends have a problem, they can come there and not here. And you won’t feel like you have to protect us.”
“You know that it’s usually not allowed while you’re under a certain contract, namely the one you have.” He leaned back in his chair and looked at me like he was thinking hard.
“Yes, I know.”
“But in this case, since neither of you see the good in ending a relationship with such an off-kilter man, I think it may be best. Like I said, we make good money together, and I don’t believe either of us are ready to stop working together, right?”
“Right.” I wanted to shriek with excitement.
“I think it’s best you find something nearby, here in West Hollywood, because you still need to pull up to events with the ladies, and we won’t tolerate anyone making us late.”
“Yes, I’ve found a place just ten minutes from here.”
“Oh, you have?”
“Yeah, I started looking when Mischief pulled a gun on you.”
“I see. And you understand I won’t foot the bill for any of your expenses outside of this house, right?” he raised a brow and I nodded. “Alright, well, we’re good. You can tell Cassie, but let her know we still need to have a conversation about her significant other getting violent with me. I’m thinking of pressing charges on both Mischief and his cousin.”
“That’s his brother.”
“Whatever.”
“They didn’t mean it, Jude, they were just—”
“Please do not come to their defense right now. Especially not while my eye is still looking the way it does. I had to cancel a very important meeting because of it, and I feel like I should be compensated for it. Now, Laine, I have some work to do, so please excuse me. And I need you and Cassie out as soon as possible because I’ve recruited a new girl.”
He didn’t even find out we were moving until after he recruited the new girl, but whatever.
“Right, okay. But we’re good though, right?”
“We’re not friends like I’d want us to be, but yes, we will continue to make money together. Just stay professional, Laine. I would hate to see your personal life ruin your professional one. If you don’t get that boy in check, you won’t make it far.”
I internally rolled my eyes before asking, “One more thing, would it be possible for Kady to move in with us as well?”
“Kady? No.”
Shit, think of something.
“Oh, because she’s umm… dating Mischief’s cousin and I think her moving out would be a good preventative measure. You know they’re all alike, and we wouldn’t want another pop up,” I lied, hoping for one, Jude knew nothing about Kady’s real boyfriend, Nuzi, and that this lie would help Kady.
“Yeah, no. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. Now if you’ll excuse me.”
“Okay.” I turned to leave, but stopped at the door when he called my name.
“Uh, go ahead and take Kady with you. But tell her we need to talk so I can explain the stipulations, okay?”
“Yep. Thanks, Jude.”
“And Laine, if you introduce any more of the girls to someone related to Mischief, I will terminate our contract.”
“Got it.”
I was so happy that Kady, Cassie, and I made Jude a lot of money, because it was the only reason he was allowing us to live elsewhere. Had Cassie and I been some bottom feeders, he would have terminated us in a jiffy I’m sure.
Kady had a shoot this morning so I would talk to her later when I saw Cassie. For now, I wanted to go work out before the shoot I had this afternoon.
I stayed at the gym for about two hours, and then decided that I needed to get back home so I could shower before my photo shoot with this clothing company that specialized in making jeans products with these cute little patches on them
.
I got home about thirty minutes later, and after showering and throwing on a simple t-shirt dress, I was out the door and on my way to work…
***
“So we just have four jean outfits here, and Laura is gonna do your hair in a different hair style for each, okay?” Gina, the creator explained to me as she showed me the fits. They were so cute, and like always, I was hoping I got to go home with something free.
“Okay, great,” I nodded and smiled.
Gina took me to meet Laura for my hair, and Jerome for my makeup. While I got fixed up, Gina’s assistant brought me lunch from some sandwich shop that I wasn’t familiar with, and I killed that off. Today had already been a pretty great ass day.
By the time I finished my food, Jerome and Laura were done with me for now, so I went to get dressed for my first set of photos. The five hours I spent there seemed to fly by, and I guess it was because everyone was so nice and laid back. Jerome, the make-up artist, was the funniest one of all.
“Girl, put yo’ number in here.” Jerome gave me his phone as he walked me to my dressing room so I could change.
“There you go.” I handed it back to him.
“I’m gon’ have to take you to a gay club. That’s where the real fun is,” he smacked his lips as he slipped his phone into his pocket. “They’ll love yo’ pretty ass.”
“Sounds like fun,” I laughed. “Talk to you later.”
I hugged Jerome and then went into my dressing room to change. Only a few moments later, Gina came in with a few free jean jackets, jean shorts, t-shirts, and jeans with patchwork.
“Thank you so much!” I shrieked, taking the bag before hugging her.
“Of course. You did a great job today, Laine.” She turned to leave then stopped. “Oh you have a visitor. He’s waiting down in the lobby I was told.”
“Oh okay.”
I gathered my things and rushed out to get onto the elevator. I already knew it was probably Mischief. I don’t know why he brought his ass up here, knowing I drove myself, but I liked to see him anytime so it was okay.
