Malagant, with his injured father in his arms, ran to the pit, Josiah, Teal, and Ben following quickly behind.

And at at the same time, they jumped.

The last thing Malagant heard before the red, glowing sepulcher swallowed them up, was the terrible screaming shriek of Kelakheva.

THE END OF BOOK 1 OF THE GODS’ GAMES SERIES.

  A note from Quil

Thank you for reading something that has been so close to my heart for such a long time. The Gods’ Games Book 1 has been in my head for 12 years and I can’t express how excited I am to have it released and to also start writing Book 2. A lot of Book 2 has also been in my head milling around so I don’t think it’ll take long once I get the time to write it.

Book 2 will be an exciting one, you’ll be seeing a new realm and also Erick out in the real world without his castle to protect him. Will his and Sweeny’s relationship blossom further? Or will someone end up coming between them? And how will the prophecy walkers fair in the demenos-ruled realm of Shol? And when the fuck are we going to see some more sex?

Which brings me to another thing I would like to talk about. As you may have noticed The Gods’ Games has two versions: the Not-As Graphic Edition and the Graphic Edition. I’m doing this because it was always my dream for The Gods’ Games to be able to be read by a wider audience than say, my other series The Fallocaust Series. I’m realistic and I know I would be able to achieve this if I toned-down the hardcore sex. So whereas all versions will have the blood and gore and also foreplay and light fondling, the graphic sex will be limited to the graphic edition. I’m hoping by doing this more of you will be willing to recommend this book to your family and friends. Though this book only had one scene cut out, I’m realistic and quite frankly the only reason this book didn’t take a more ‘Quillish’ turn was because I wrote the timeline and the characters personal progressions with each other when I was young (it has been 100% rewritten there is no original writing from when I was 14), and I wasn’t as comfortable writing gay-themed things back then. But Book 2 will be written by me as an adult who gives nary a fuck about putting graphic sex into future plots so I wanted to already establish the two versions before things started to get to bad (or to good, depends on how you see it!). So chose your versions, my friends.

There are no plans on when Book 2 will be started, so keep checking my website www.quilcarter.com where you can see where I am at in regards to my 2015 to-do list and also announcements that I have started it. I still have to finish my other series’ 3rd book and its companion book but after that I am reckoning Book 2 will be started. No name for it yet!

Thank you once again for reading something that has been my heart and soul for so long. I can’t wait to continue with this series and I’m so happy that after such a long time, my boys are finally being read. They deserve it.

Be good to one another, because remember: we’re all fighting our own battles.

  Sincerely,

  Quil Carter
