  Georgie’s mouth thinned. “Over my dead body.”

  Vince admired her spirit. He always had. But he couldn’t let her get the upper hand.

  “Don’t go sacrificing yourself like that, darlin’.”

  She balled her hands into fists. “Do not call me—”

  “I promise we won’t hurt those horses one tiny bit.” He turned to his partners in crime. “Isn’t that right, boys?”
