This time he didn’t hide his grin.

“I won’t.” Letting go, he let her fall back against the mix of clothing and bedding, immediately bracing his hands beside her ribs to deliver a solid thrust that made her cry out in pleasure, not pain. Not wanting to miss a single thing, he watched the way her forehead scrunched and then relaxed before haze-blown eyes opened again. A soft whine, an unspoken plea, slipped out as her hips lifted like she wanted more. “Not hard enough?” he whispered, earning a snap of teeth in reply.

  “No.”

Winding an arm underneath her, he caught a fistful of hair and tugged, baring her throat and making her whimper as she clenched him deep inside. The pack was inching closer, watching, listening, and all he wanted them to hear was her pleasure.

He’d stay in control, keep her safe and sated and happy. Their Omega was okay, back in their nest where she needed to be. Her demands, and the promises he’d made to her would have to be discussed later. After he took care of her. After he wrung out every sweet cry from her lips and made her scream his name. After she passed out from the orgasms with his knot locked inside her tight cunt, filled with his cum, marking her inside and out.

  Chapter Ten

Karissa arched as hunger clawed at her ribs. Donvin was still holding back, with every delicious thrust, every possessive lick across her throat and shoulder. It was so fucking good, but it wasn’t enough.

“More,” she hissed, letting the growl rumble in her chest.

Nipping her throat, he pulled back and then thrust hard enough to make her flinch as she cried out. Balls resting against her ass, he was finally seated inside, but he’d stopped. Frozen, lips pausing at her throat.

She heard the chorus of growls around them. Felt the pack shifting closer before she even opened her eyes to see Halyrion watching her with concern. “Please,” she begged through clenched teeth, tilting her hips to make him move.

That strange hum returned to her chest as Donvin shifted, pulling back slowly, a tender movement that wasn’t right. They were all worried about her, just like he’d said. They were worried about the damage Mordek had done, those growls meant as a warning to Donvin even as they made slick flood between her thighs. But they were wrong, she needed more. As her gaze moved over Halyrion, Parel, and Zeke she felt the buzzing in her chest expand. Stretching until she knew without looking that Tinves and Jeden stood on the other side. Knew that Mordek was farther away. She could feel them in the hum. It was the pack.

  Her pack.

  Mine.

Baring her teeth, she let the buzzing hum in her chest grow and tightened her fingers in Donvin’s hair to pull him away from her neck. Dark brown eyes traced her face, and she snapped her teeth close enough to threaten his bared throat. “Stop. Teasing. Me.”

Surprise battled with concern in his expression. “I don’t want to hurt you, Kar—”

Snarling, she let go of his hair and raked her nails down his back, watching as the pain registered and his pupils flared, taking over the oaken irises in seconds. Digging her nails in, she felt the way his muscles tensed, trembling as he held back. But the hum buzzed in her blood, something powerful that bled into the growl in her chest and changed the tone of it.

The low rattle behind her ribs was nothing to the thunder Donvin produced as he bared his teeth and let the growl roll out. A warning that obliterated the last of the concern in his face, raw hunger replacing it just before he pulled back and slammed deep. One sharp thrust, hard enough to lift her ass from the nest. Brutal and perfect. He caught her thigh and spread her wider, keeping her bent as her nails ripped down his sides, over the dark bruise — and he roared.

The sound was loud enough to hurt her ears, making her heart race, a need-smothered part of her brain reminding her of the danger that an Alpha posed. But it was too late. It was the pain that finally snapped Donvin’s insane self-control, the massive male hooking her leg over his arm as he braced above her shoulders and forced his thick cock even deeper on the next thrust. A spike of pain in the haze as his bulk cast her in shadow. Huge, powerful, she felt the slick surge as his abs stretched and tensed with each vicious drive of his shaft, making that impossible girth disappear inside her.

Karissa’s eyes rolled back, completely full, she sank underneath the flood of sensation, everything narrowing to the power of each thrust as he split her. Working the early swell of the knot past her entrance over and over. Sounds tried to escape, but her lungs were compressed, crushed in the awkward position, but it didn’t matter. Everything inside her was shaking, rumbling with the growl still thrumming in his chest, the sound surrounding her and covering her. Fire wove its way up her spine, burning in the airless space behind her ribs, and she tried to choke in a breath but her body was trapped. Strung taut in his grip, held in place for each punishing thrust that only made the fire burn brighter. Sparks flared behind her eyes, mouth open in a silent cry as the suffocating pleasure built, crested, and finally snapped.

Pure ecstasy tore through every nerve ending, and her body seized, pushing the male back from the sheer force of the orgasm. Air ripped in on a gasp, feeding the fire and she was lost as oxygen rushed to her starving muscles, cunt gripping the hard length still driving inside her. Pushing her until the world inverted again and she cried out, back arching off the nest as she fisted cloth that smelled of Alpha. Males that could give her this. Glorious bliss that made every ache disappear, filling her with brilliant, shuddering light.

Saliva pooled in her mouth as she shivered, shook, eyes opening to see him poised above her. Hulking, broad shouldered, with dark features hidden in shadow. He smelled perfect, and she rolled her hips to meet his, skin meeting in a harsh slap that bruised in all the right ways. When she reached for him, nails in his shoulder to pull him down, he followed. Bracing on his elbow so that he could continue that incredible friction inside her, growl summoning more slick as her body answered the call. Mouth watering, she nosed against his chest, her tongue flicking out to taste. Swallowing that scent that had her mewling, wordlessly begging for more.

She wanted to bite down, and as he moved closer, leaning over her, she dragged her tongue up his throat. Feeling the rough texture of his stubble, purring as his cock swelled even larger inside her. That early knot stretched her, pain filtering through the lingering bliss, and she dragged her teeth down his throat, nipping, biting a little harder at the beginning of his shoulder. So close to feeling him locked inside her where there would be endless pleasure and the male would be hers. Turning to where the scent made drool pool at the back of her throat, she dragged her tongue over a scar and growled.

  Not mine.

Everything pulled back, rage rushing through her so fast that the next hard thrust made her whimper and shove at the male already marked. A possessive growl started in her chest as the Alpha pushed up, revealing the shining scar on his shoulder as she heard someone shout. “DONVIN!”

He turned his head, snarling, and she saw the pack. Too close. Halyrion crouched beside her, and she felt the humming buzz in her veins that reached for them, that meant they were hers. Hers to claim, hers to own.

  All mine.

Including the Alpha inside her, the one baring teeth through his beard, exposing fresh, unmarked skin on his shoulder. Mine. Lunging, she sank her teeth into smooth skin just as his cock swelled inside her. Somehow she was straddling him, one arm wrapped around his neck to hold on, but the male didn’t try to pull her away from the incandescent flash of lightning that touched her tongue. It was pure electricity wound around the taste of him, copper and rain on a hot day, and she needed it. Needed more, and the male helped her find it as he cupped the back of her head and wrapped the other arm around her ribs, holding her close where she could feel the thunder of his purr. Drool spilled around her lips when he began to thrust again, forcing the swelling knot into her cunt, and with the next vicious stretch she clamped down — and the storm broke.

Lightning poured down her throat, overtaking everything
inside until every cell vibrated with the overwhelming power of it. Then a thunderous roar split the air, the knot caught inside her, and she was filled with light. Caught in a blinding bliss, an ecstasy so pure it was painful to try and contain, she felt the first hot jets of his seed filling her. Inside and out, there was only the storm. Perfect, even as pain lanced through her shoulder and she whined into the warm skin under her teeth, the world was righting itself.

Wrapped in heat, stretched and filled by the huge cock trapped inside her, Karissa purred.

“Mine,” she whispered as she let her jaw relax, easing the ache even as the burn in her shoulder grew worse. Powerful hips lifted, rocking the knot inside her until her stiff muscles shuddered and she was sucked back into the storm. Pleasure coalescing and then exploding to send light to the tip of every nerve. Another flood of cum filled her, and she arched, crying out, “Donvin!”

Cradled, the Alpha held her close, even as her mind dipped in and out of the storm. The sting in her shoulder throbbed in the lull between one wave and the next, but she felt his tongue laving it. Easing it. Donvin. He was purring, steadily rocking inside her, teasing the storm to take her under again as he caressed her back, her hair. “Yours,” he whispered into her ear, and she smiled.

Another shuddering orgasm took her and she gasped, suddenly exhausted, sated, and slipping towards sleep. There were purrs around her, more peaks and valleys in the noise inside and out. Bits of music that formed the hum in her veins, that could let her see something beautiful if only she could figure out how to see it. But it slid away, along with her consciousness, too tired to try and seek it out.

Karissa let go, letting Donvin hold her up, letting sleep take her under until there was nothing but the new, strong thump in her chest. Bright like lightning in the dark.

  Chapter Eleven

  Mordek

The pack was arguing quietly, huddled around the nest, around the Omega. Still straddling Donvin, still knotted, her blood soaked chin resting over the male’s heart where she slept. Sweetly purring even in her sleep, moaning occasionally when she would rouse enough to orgasm again — he remembered what that felt like. To be locked inside her tight channel, breathing in the incredible scent of her, tasting her skin, and feeling her cunt grip the knot to send fire up his cock, pouring it into her until her stomach swelled with the cum trapped behind the knot. Just thinking about it had his dick throbbing against his thigh, and he curled his lip, savoring the pain as it split again and the hatred he felt for himself burned out the lust in his chest.

  You have no right.

He shouldn’t even be in this room. Shouldn’t be watching as the pack purred for her, tended her, tried to repair the damage he had done to something so precious. The small, violet-haired Omega looked like she could have been in a horror film. Except, for her, the horror was real.

It was his fingerprints in dark bruises around her throat, on her hips, thighs, arms. His teeth marks in her skin. His cock that had ripped into her. He knew because he’d seen the damage. Knew because he’d been pinned under his brothers when the feral rage broke.

His brothers that he’d hurt. The Alphas that had put their trust in him, that had believed him, believed in him enough to follow him. To make him their leader, to submit to him, to obey.

Thank the gods they’d stopped him.

The Omega had been in a crumpled pile by the table when they finally let him sit up, and when he’d tried to go to her each and every Alpha had snarled at him. It was Jeden who lifted her limp body from the floor, his heart sinking until he heard her groan, and it was the most beautiful sound he’d ever heard. Not dead. He hadn’t killed her.

Watching the pack take care of her was hard. He’d wanted to soothe her, to purr for her, to apologize until his throat stopped working — but she hadn’t even been awake. He’d stayed silent as they’d made the decision that the only person who could possibly help her was Alishair. Not like he would have argued. The Omega should have spent time with her sooner. He could have helped her adjust.

  Could have warned her.

The pain in his chest had nothing to do with the bruises on his skin and everything to do with the bruises on hers. Marks he couldn’t even remember leaving, but they had filled him in. As soon as they’d returned from Alishair’s room his brothers had told him every horrible thing he’d done to her, to them.

He remembered the anger he’d felt when he’d returned to the room and found the nest empty. Exhausted from the conversations he’d had, the useless, night-long search for the pack that had hurt one of his, he’d been angry before he’d ever come back to their home.

But he had wanted to see her, touch her, hold her, apologize for losing his temper. In his head he had already planned how he would explain his position, the responsibility he felt for Niken and what the male had suffered. In his thoughts he had found a way to explain all of it… but she was gone. Panic and rage took hold as the pack woke and then he’d felt her. The bond thrumming, drawing him to the bathroom where she refused to let him in. Refused to come out, to let him see her, and then she’d demanded a phone.

At the time it had felt like acid was eating its way through him. Black rage surging at the thought of anyone on the other end of that phone taking her from him. She was bonded to him, she was his, and if Jeden hadn’t pushed him back from the door he would have lost it then.

Halyrion had tried to speak to him, Parel had warned him, but when he saw the door opened he was deaf to all of it. Only able to see her slender, pale limbs as she stalked across the floor in Donvin’s shirt. Not even his scent on her body. Her anger buzzing through the bond, atonal and chaotic, amplifying his — or was it his anger that had made hers worse? He didn’t know. It didn’t matter. Not now. Because the last thing he remembered was her bolting for the door, so fast, and something had snapped inside him. Gone black, with only flashes of horror in the time between her trying to leave and him waking under the weight of the pack.

  They should have killed me.

Death would have been easier. A coward’s way out of this fucked up tragedy, but he still had no idea if there were even words that could mend this. Even now, as he sought her end of the bond in his chest, he could barely feel the fluttering peace that sang out of her. Like the volume was turned too low.

And when she woke she might turn it off completely.

Jeden’s head lifted from the group, swiveling to face him, and he saw the flash of irritation in the male as his eyes flicked back to the others. The arguing was getting louder, and soon it would wake her, ruin her peace. The male tilted his head, beckoning him, and Mordek shook his head once.

Standing, Jeden walked over to him and the others quieted as they watched him approach. The first one to speak with him since Zeke had told him she’d woken up… from ten feet away. None of them trusted him, and if they didn’t trust him, he couldn’t lead them.

“Get up.” Jeden crossed his arms, staring down at him like he was some pouting child.

  “I’m not going near her.”

Cursing under his breath, Jeden reached down and grabbed his arm, almost lifting his bulk from the floor before he let go. “Do you want me to hit you again and drag you over just so you have an excuse? You need to be in this conversation.”

Stroking a thumb across the swollen left side of his face, which he still couldn’t quite see out of, Mordek shrugged a shoulder and ignored the thud of pain as his muscles moved. “Do what you want, I’m not going near her.”

His second growled low, glancing back at the pack before he crouched in front of him. Meeting the male’s gaze, he almost smiled. Jeden had plenty of bruises too, but the male hadn’t stopped moving. He’d spoken to the pack, to him, explained that it had been his abuse of the bond that had sent her into the bathroom. Then he’d made the Alphas workout to try and burn off the dark energy infesting the pack.

Jeden had done everything a good leader should do, while Mordek hadn’t moved from this spot since he’d dr
opped his body into it after they’d left the Omegas together.

“Is this what you want, Mordek?” Staring down at his bruised and bloody knuckles, Jeden’s voice was hushed. “You want to bring the pack back to when I first got here? When Parel wouldn’t talk? When Tinves screamed in his sleep? When Halyrion and Donvin almost killed each other?”

“You’re missing the point there. Everything started to get better when you joined us.”

Huffing, Jeden shook his head slowly and raised his eyes. “No. I have always backed your decisions, your word as our Alpha. I didn’t know anything until you taught me.”

“Time to take the lead then. Pay it forward. All that shit.” Mordek leaned back against the wall, and Jeden growled. The rumble didn’t even make him want to respond, there was no urge to put the male in his place. Fuck, he didn’t even know his place, how could he tell Jeden anything?

“You are not stepping down, Mordek. I won’t let you.”

“I’m pretty sure Halyrion would take the—”

Arm snapping forward, Jeden fisted the front of his shirt and hauled him off the wall, almost onto his knees, and Mordek choked down the pained sound as his ribs shifted. The male’s dark eyes bored into him for a long minute, and then he heard a word that seemed to take effort for Jeden to grate out. “…please.”

Sighing, he brushed the male’s hand off his shirt and looked past him to the other Alphas who were occasionally glancing their way, but inevitably his eyes landed on their Omega. “Someone should clean the blood off her.”

“Donvin is pretty proud of it.”

Nodding, Mordek understood, but he still added, “It’s going to upset her.”
