Antonio wrapped an arm around her shoulder and covered her mouth. “Sorry about Tiana, she’s been waiting patiently for hours to see our godchildren.”
She elbowed him playfully and crept over to the bed. “Oh my god, they are precious.” She smelled both and kissed their heads. “Did you name them yet?”
“Not yet, but we have names picked out.” She held up the pink bundle Giovanni laid in her arms. “Meet Francesco Matthew and Antonia Rose.” She handed Antonia to her namesake, Antonio and she cried again at his look of utter love and devotion to her little girl.
“She’s adorable,” he said, pressing his lips to her tiny forehead. “Don’t worry little girl, I’ll make sure no one ever hurts you.”
“Oh boy, you two are going to be ridiculous, aren’t you?”
Both men grinned at Tiana and nodded enthusiastically.
Talia looked around at the five most important people in her life. She was, for once, more than content with the way things were. She was happy, she was in love, and she was a mom. Soon to be a wife. “I love you guys,” she burst into tears.
They all drew closer, surrounding her with their love and their warmth as her tears fell. Giovanni caught her gaze over Antonio’s head. “I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you more,” she mouthed to him. And she knew they would have their happy ending.
