Beauty & the Geek: Hidden Depths Page 4

“Baby, if you had a twin then I’d be in some real trouble. How could I decide which one to be with?” Giving her a tight squeeze, he kissed her on the neck, his tongue coming out to lick her skin. “Or maybe I’ll just have one of my friends in the science industry build me a clone. That way, whenever you’re at work, I’ll have your clone to keep me company.”

His fingers began kneading her lower back and upper buttocks. His mouth trailed kisses on her face and upper chest. Good Lord, she almost melted right there. Not letting him off with that comment, she was bound and determined to have the last word.

“Yeah, I guess that would be kind of hot. I think a clone would be best. That way it’s technically still me you’re with.”

Wrapping her arms around his broad shoulders, she lowered her voice. “Then again, I would try to always outshine her when I was around and she wasn't. Shit, then I might start to get all jealous thinking you wanted her more than me.”

She felt him stop kissing her and knew he was listening intently. Good, she had shocked him a bit. Keeping her face turned to the side, she kept her smile hidden as she continued teasing him.

“On the other hand, I'd start hating that bee-otch, and I'd probably try and cut off all her hair while she was sleeping or push her down the stairs....” As he lifted his head and looked at her with shock and awe, she knew it was time to bring this to a close.

“Oh, wait. Okay, that's me I'm talking about....” She smiled at the startled look on his face. “Um, well, never mind...I'll just keep those thoughts to myself for right now...”

The sudden smile that came over him had her laughing out loud.

He lifted her up and carried her back to the bed. “You had me concerned for a second there. You were starting to sound like some of my friends who work at those three-letter agencies that don’t really exist.” He lay on top of her as he grabbed both her hands and positioned both of her arms over her head. Their fingers intertwined, their bodies touching.

“Roxie, you have a warped sense of humor, but I like it.”

“I’m glad you like it.” Turning serious, she looked him in the eyes. “Because I really like you, Adam.”

His smile fell, and she wondered if she had said too much.

“Baby, I would hope so. I want to have more than just this weekend, Roxie. We could have something special, and I don’t want to let this go. Not yet. I’m hoping that we can try to make this work.”

Her heart felt full at his words, and she was glad he was already holding her in his arms. “I would want that more than anything. There’s so much more for us to explore about each other.”

One of his hands moved down to her side, his fingers trailing along her bare skin. “I think I know where I want to explore first. Ready for round ten?”

“I’m more than ready. Explore away.”

  Bio

Reana Malori is a pseudonym for a chick with dreams of world domination. However, if that’s not possible, I’m willing to settle for being one of the best interracial romance/erotica writers on the market. As a true believer in romance, my stories will always have a “happily ever after” even when hot and steamy bedroom scenes are included. I am first and foremost a fan of romance and erotica and have been an avid reader since the age of fourteen. As I continue to write, my ultimate goal is to provide the reader with a way to live vicariously through my characters and escape into my universe, if only for a few hours.

I enjoy hearing from friends, so please feel free to email me at [email protected].

  Ciao!
