They had met a few months previously. Avery was being mugged in an alley. She shifted to her lioness, and he jumped in to help her. She then shifted back and while dazzlingly naked kissed the living daylights out of him. Ever since that moment, she had been the star of some very delicious dreams and daydreams.
Being who he was – Los Lobos’ foremost vigilante and crime fighter – he had found out who she was, where she lived, where she worked…
Avery was an agent for the SEA, and they weren’t exactly thrilled about his activities. It meant that approaching her might be a little dicey. He wasn’t sure if she would want a repeat of their kiss or if she would arrest him on the spot. He wasn’t exactly known for his prowess when it came to kissing and the like – a particularly embarrassing game of spin the bottle in ninth grade proved that. She may not revel in the memory of their kiss as much as him, or at all.
He stilled as Avery suddenly dropped the dryer. He saw her jaw work itself into a roar and a black-clad goon grabbed her, pulling her away from the window.
His inner wolf howled, and Wolfman leaped into action. No way was anyone harming his lioness.
He needed to get over there. It was time to try that untested grappling hook. He stood on the ledge, feeling more than a little queasy. Batman made this look so easy.
But no matter how ill he felt, and the potential to go splat on the street below, he had to do this. He had to save her. Because if there was one thing he was sure of, she was his. Mine!
Wolfman took a deep breath and hoped for the best…
