Tell Me Now Page 21

by S. Moose

The emotions rushing through me cause me to stop the work I’m doing and step into the room where my heart is peacefully sleeping. I don’t respond to Tiffany’s message. All I want to do is feel Madison’s warmth next to me and hold her tightly against my body.

The next day, I don’t have any meetings, so I’m taking Madison out. We’re on Rodeo Drive, taking in the sights, and I love seeing Madison act like a tourist.

  “You’ve never been to LA?”

She shakes her head. “No. I never had any desire, to be honest. Besides Chicago, I love New York City. But LA? Wow, there’s no comparison.”

I grab her hand, and we walk into Dior and the little gasp that escapes her perfectly kissable lips has me smiling. My girl loves to shop.

“You look like a little kid in a candy shop.”

“Because I am,” she says, and walks to different racks of clothes, looking at the different dresses. She picks a few, and I do the same. “I’m going to try these on. Are you okay waiting?”

  “Of course.”

Instantly, an associate notices our arrival and comes over. “That dress would look fabulous on you!”

“Thank you. I love how sheer it is. Can I please try these on?”

“Of course. My name’s Connie.” She takes the dresses from Madison and me, while leading us into a posh fitting area. “Whatever you need, please let me know. Sir, would you care for a beverage?”

I hold up my hand. “I’m fine. Thank you.”

When Connie leaves the fitting room area, Madison walks into the room and begins to close the door. I stop it with my hand and stare down at her.

  “What?”

  “Keep it open,” I demand.

“Bryce,” she whispers and looks around me. “We’re in a public store. Public. Meaning people can walk in at any time.”

“Don’t worry about that.” I wink and walk backward until I’m sitting down on the plush couch. “Go ahead.”

She rolls her eyes and begins taking off her clothes. She sees me through the mirror and gives me smile before putting on the first dress.

It’s a soft pink and on the shorter side.

  “So?”

“Put it in the like pile.”

“Okay. Are you really going to sit there and gawk at me?”

“I am. This is a great show. I get to watch my beautiful girlfriend try on clothes and between each change I get to admire her sexy body. It’s a win for both of us, baby.”

“You’re too much sometimes.” I shrug at her comment, and she laughs with joy.

For the next hour, I watch Madison spin around in different dresses. Most I love and imagine sliding my hand up her smooth skin and finger fucking her. I know she’s wet from the blush in her cheeks. She knows exactly what I’m thinking as I mentally undress her, playing the fantasy out in my head, ready to make it a reality.

As Madison’s changing back into her clothes, I hand Connie my credit card. Once my card’s been swiped, I let her know where we’re staying.

“I can get the dresses ready for you, sir. They should be in your hotel room by the time you get back.”

I nod. “Sounds good. Thank you for your assistance.”

“The pleasure has been all mine.”

When Madison comes out, she looks at me then Connie. “You paid, didn’t you?”

  “Of course.”

She takes my hand and waves to Connie before we walk out of the store. “I wish you wouldn’t. I have money, you know.”

“And I wish you’d allow your boyfriend to spoil his beautiful girlfriend.”

“Well, when you put it like that.” She grins.

We continue walking, going from store to store. The next few hours are spent following Madison, taking in the sights with her and seeing LA from her perspective. It’s nearing one thirty when I realize we haven’t had lunch.

I easily tug her to my side and kiss the side of her head. “Come on, baby. Let’s get something to eat. I’m starving.” I smile, and we walk for a few more minutes until we find a restaurant to have lunch in.

The day’s going by quickly, and I still would like to take her to the beach and walk on the sand with her. The drive is long due to the traffic. I have a few emails to return, and from the corner of my eye, I notice Madison lying on my lap, her eyes closed, and her breathing steady.

I press a button to lower the privacy glass. “Change of plans. Can you take us back to the hotel?”

  “Of course, sir.”

Once the privacy glass is back up, I put down my phone and stroke her soft cheek. I’m savoring this moment and drinking in how her touch makes me feel. Everything about Madison is good and pure. My heart breaks a little, knowing if the truth comes out, it’ll destroy her.

And it’ll destroy me too because I’ll lose her for good and revert to the darkness I was in before her light came into my life.

  Chapter 38

  Madison

Dinner is breathtaking. We’re on the rooftop overlooking LA, and I’m mesmerized by the setting sun. The scene surrounding us is beautiful. I’m in a state of excitement. Today has been perfect.

After we were dropped off, Bryce insisted on carrying me to our room. It was embarrassing but also extremely romantic. We fell asleep on the bed and woke to a round of amazing sex before getting ready for dinner.

“That dress looks incredible on you.”

I lift my wine glass and take a sip before answering. “My very sexy and sweet boyfriend got it for me.”

  “Sounds like a keeper.”

“Oh, he is.” We both laugh, and I love seeing this carefree side of Bryce. Turning back to look at him, I pick around my salad. “You never really talked about your past. Besides Blaire, I don’t know too much about your company or your family.”

“I typically don’t like to discuss my past with anyone, but since you aren’t just anyone, I’ll tell you a bit. My father started and built this company from the ground up. Being the firstborn, I was expected to take over when it came my time. My father groomed me, and I worked very hard, but then he passed away unexpectedly when I was twenty. I had a year left at Harvard but managed to handle the company, and I graduated top of my class. My mother and sister moved to New York City after I graduated, and I stayed here for obvious reasons.”

  “That makes sense.”

“Speaking of my sister. She's graduating next week. I’m sorry I never told you. We're going to New York City and spending the weekend there.”

“Thanks for giving me the chance to say yes or no.” Bryce winks and gives me his devilish smirk. “Where is she graduating from?”

“From Parsons. She has a job lined up with an up-and-coming designer. The designer’s work shows promise, and I’m investing in her business. Renee doesn’t know it yet. Part of her graduation gift.”

“Oh! We didn’t get her anything.”

Bryce smiles and takes a drink of his bourbon. “She has everything. Don’t worry.”

“We can’t go empty-handed. Or at least I can’t. What does she like? Okay, besides fashion.” Then an idea comes to me. “We have to go back to Louis Vuitton.”

He kinks his brow. “Why? You have a new purse and wallet. And thank you for my wallet, you sneaky girl.” I blush and finish my wine. It’s only fair I get him a little something. “What else can you possibly need?”

“I’d like to get her a purse as well. There’s one I liked, and it’s part of their newest line. Do you think she'll like it?”

“Yes. I’ll have someone get it tonight for you, okay?”

  “Thanks, sweetie.”

We spend the rest of the night talking about his mom and sister. They seem so sweet, and I'm excited to meet them.

“Oh.” Shit, this is going to be bad. “I’m supposed to start my new job working for Henry.”

Bryce’s expression turns sour. “My company is just as good. Why don’t you want to work for me again?”

I roll my eyes because this isn’t the first time
we’ve had this same argument. “Because, babe, I don’t think that’s a good idea. We've gone over this so many times. I need to do something on my own, and that’s my career. I can’t have you interfering, so please don’t. And Henry’s your best friend!”

  “Yes, I know.”

  “Be happy for me. Please?”

Bryce reaches across the table and takes my hand. “I’m sorry if I seem as if I’m not happy. I’m very happy for you. You deserve this opportunity, and I know you’ll flourish. Though I’m a bit jealous Henry will have you during the day.”

“And you’ll have me at night and on the weekends.”

Move-in day is quickly approaching. Most of our things are out of the apartment. Kaylee and I want one last moment in there before we say goodbye.

I’m nervous to move in with Bryce because I’ve never lived with a man. After moving out of my parents’ house, I lived on campus, then an apartment with Kaylee.

“Or you can be a stay-at-home girlfriend and have fun doing whatever you want.”

I cringe at the idea. Some women can do that—spend hours at the spa and the mall—but that’s not appealing to me. “Uh-huh. Keep dreaming, mister.”

He leans back in his chair and studies me, trying to find my weak spot. He can keep looking because he won’t find it. To be honest, the idea sounds nice, but how long would it last before I’m utterly bored.

“Let’s get dessert,” I suggest, and Bryce seems to relax. I’m not sure why he’s been tense all day. Hopefully, everything’s okay. “Babe?”

  “Yes?”

“Are you okay? I mean, you seem distant like something’s bothering you.”

“A deal I’m working on. It’s difficult to decide what’s best. Someone ends up losing, and in this deal, more than one will.”

I frown. I hate that about business. The losers. “You’re a smart man. You can figure it out. Anything I can do to help?”

“No.” He picks up his glass and finishes his drink before getting the server’s attention. “A dessert menu, and another.” Bryce looks at me, and I shake my head. Three glasses of wine are more than enough.

  “Right away, sir.”

We finish dessert and head back to the hotel. I insist on us walking since it’s a short distance. As soon as we get back to the room, Bryce excuses himself and takes a phone call.

I undress and start a bath. He’ll come find me when he’s ready.

The warm water feels nice on my body, and the lavender bubbles fill the bathroom with a relaxing scent. Soft music plays in the background. Ten songs have passed before Bryce comes into the bathroom and sits down next to the tub.

“There’s something urgent I need to get to. We need to leave tomorrow morning.” His tone is defeated, and I’m sure that’s how I look as well.

“Okay. No worries.” I muster a smile to hide my disappointment. There’s still so much I want to do with Bryce while we’re in LA, but I know his business comes first, and this deal has been killing him. “I wish there was something I could do to ease your stress.”

A wicked grin plays on his face, and I know exactly what he’s thinking. Watching him strip out of his expensive suit makes my mouth water. I’ll never tire looking at him. He’s perfect. A glorious six-pack, a V going down below his boxer briefs, a bare and toned chest. Everything about him screams sex.

He gets in, sitting across from me, and we say nothing. Neither of us move. We bask in this moment together, and I love how he’s looking at me. From one look, my heart beats wildly. His love for me radiates and pours from his soul into mine. Even though our love isn’t perfect, and there are a few ugly times, I know he’s the one.

“Stand up,” I command and notice the way his face changes from happy to dark. I’ve never taken control like this, and I’m glad to see him comply. I watch the suds flow down his body. He’s staring down at me, watching my every move. “Good boy.”

Getting on my knees, I take his hardened cock into my hands and stroke him up and down. He’s the biggest I’ve ever seen, and I still wonder how he fits inside me. I tighten my pressure and see Bryce throwing his head back and bracing himself against the wall.

“Fuck, baby. That feels good. Just like that.”

His moaning and words turn me on and encourage me to keep going. I slide my mouth over him, sucking his tip lightly and slowing my pace. I want him to enjoy this. When he hits the back of my throat, I repeat the motion. He grows bigger inside my mouth, stretching my lips around him, and I can tell he’s ready to come from the way he’s moaning and trembling.

“Baby!” he yells and shoots his load down my throat. I eagerly swallow everything he’s giving me. “Get up, baby.” His tone is soft and gentle. Without warning, he lifts me into his arms, carrying me bridal style, and lays me on the bed. “You’re so fucking beautiful. And you’re mine. Tell me now you’re mine.”

“I’m yours.” I’m breathless to this man and everything he’s doing to me. “I’m all yours.”

He places his mouth on my bare flesh, nipping and licking, while cupping my pussy and playing with my clit. My body is so sensitive and hyper aware. Soft moans rumble from me. Bryce flips me over on my stomach and grips my hips to lift me. I’m getting wet and excited from the idea of him thrusting deep inside me.

“You have the best ass I’ve seen.”

My face heats, and I’m shivering from his light touch. He kisses my cheeks and runs his finger down the forbidden hole. “Bryce?”

“You’re not ready, but I will have your ass. Soon, your body will know what it’s like to have me all over you. I want to own every part of your body, baby.”

I moan from his words and wiggle my ass in his face because I need him. I want him. “Please,” I beg.

His tip is right at my opening. As I try to control my breathing, Bryce pushes himself all the way in. I gasp at how deep he is and cling to the bed sheets.

“Damn, baby. You’re still so tight.”

My body is on fire, burning with desire, and I want so much more. Each time we have sex, it’s incredible. I’ve never had an orgasm during sex, and with Bryce, I have at least three. He’s a bit of an overachiever.

The feel of his hand on my bottom thrills me. Then his hand comes down, slapping my cheek, and rubbing where he hit.

“Holy shit!” I yell, moving my face over the bed to cover my screaming.

“Did you like that?” he asks, pounding deeper into me. “Answer, Madison.”

  “Yes. Oh my God, yes.”

Bryce spanks me a few more times before we find our release. We lay next to each other, holding on tight, and at this moment, I realize how in love I am with Bryce.

  Chapter 39

  Madison

The week goes by quickly. I’m fully moved into Bryce’s penthouse, and Kaylee’s living with Galen but spending most of her time with Henry. We have plans for dinner with them after our trip to New York City.

It’s the day before we’re leaving, and my dad wants to meet for lunch. Since I’m not working until the following week, I have plenty of time to meet him. When I get to the restaurant and I'm shown to his table, he stands up and gives me a hug.

“Hi, honey. So good to see you.”

I smile and take in his embrace. “You too, Dad. How are you?”

“Been better.” He tries to smile, and I know he’s hiding something. He’s always been a muscular man, and right now, he looks weak and fragile. His sunken eyes indicate he’s hardly getting sleep.

  “Dad—”

He interrupts me and says, “You look different. Are you with Bryce?”

I’ve been keeping him updated with our relationship and hoping to introduce them soon. These two men are important to me, so I want to ensure they get along.

“Yes. We’re heading to New York City tomorrow for a few days, then I start my new job. I moved into his penthouse too.”

The look on his face makes me feel like I’m fifteen again. He’s not happy with this revelation, and
I have no idea if it’s because he’s afraid of letting me go or if he has an issue with Bryce. It can’t be the latter. There’s no way my dad and Bryce know one another. Surely, one of them would have told me if they did.

His phone goes off, and he looks at it, his face contorting into an agitated look, before he puts the phone back in his pocket.

“Dad. Are you okay? I’ve noticed things seem weird with you.”

“Yes, honey. Everything’s fine. Please don’t worry about me. Tell me more about Bryce and what you’re going to be doing since you aren’t working as a personal stylist.”

The conversation goes well with my dad. We laugh, he listens to everything I’m telling him, and he asks one more time if I’ll consider working for him.

Our lunch comes, and Dad excuses himself. When he gets up, I notice he left his cell phone behind. I know it’s not right, but I need to know, and every detail of my father’s life would be on his phone. I look towards the restrooms and pick it up, knowing I only have about thirty seconds. His code’s my mother’s birthday, month and day, and I quickly click on his messages. The most recent one is a number without a name.

Unknown: The fourth transfer complete. We need to talk as soon as possible. I will be leaving out of town until the following week. Don’t ignore this, Conrad. It needs to be done, and I need your word.

Unknown: Now’s not the time to come clean to her. You have too much riding on this deal. Once everything’s done, then you can do whatever you want. Remember, if you let her know the truth, you’ll end up hurting her, and we both know that’s the last thing you want to have happen.

I must have read the messages a few times before putting it down and acting like I don’t know anything. Something’s wrong. If he’s not going to tell me, then I’ll use my own resources to find out.

After lunch, Dad walks me out and gives me another hug. He seems happy, but something in his eyes and the way he’s looking at me sends doubt coursing through me.

“It was good seeing you, honey.”

“You too, Dad.” I pause, giving in. “Dad, I’m going to ask you one more time. Is there something wrong?”
