“So why would anyone stay here with Holly?” She stepped back and took my hand.
One woman stepped forward.
“I want to go back with you.” She nodded. “I want to see my mate again, I want to see how he’s trying to change.” She said.
“Me too.” Another stepped forward.
“I miss him so much.” Another agreed.
A minute later, every woman in the group had stepped forward, proclaiming that they would come back.
“You’re giving up your freedom!” Holly shrieked at them.
“No, we’re taking it back.” One woman folded her arms.
“Alright ladies,” I smiled out at the group. “You know the way back. Let’s go home.”
Me and Skye both shifted into our wolf forms, and we, along with Ty and Kyle, led the women back to their mates.
We were a few weeks early for the holiday, but I swear, every man on the pack land would’ve called that day Christmas.
Chapter 28
“Hey, sexy.” Ty brushed his thumb against my cotie, and his happiness washed over me.
“Hey.” I smiled, stretching my legs under the blankets.
“Look what I have.” He put a plate in front of me, covered with eggs, pancakes, and a load of bacon.
“You’re the best.” I said, sitting up to kiss his cheek.
“Hurry and eat, you have a big day today.” He reminded me.
“Oh yeah.” I made a face. “How long will it take to get to the place we’re meeting Cosette?”
“An hour and a half.” He played with my tangled hair for a second. “I’m going to shower, enjoy the food.” He kissed me on the cheek.
Two days had passed since the pack’s women returned, and Ty still couldn’t believe how happy everyone was. The pack had never been so happy before, he insisted.
One of the ex-Rockies became his new third, and that guy’s mate was my third. Sky kept her position as my second, since Kyle was still unmated.
Cosette and I were meeting halfway between our two cities to do an interview for the YouTube channel/the world. She said that a ton of people were waiting, excited to hear what happened to the pack who sent its females away.
It meant we would make a difference, so I was happy to do the interview.
I ate, and then me and Ty both got ready for the day. We drove the hour and a half to the place we’d decided on, at the edge of the forest, holding hands the whole way.
“It’s so good to see you again.” Cozy smiled and threw her arms around me. “You too, Ty.” She gave him a quick hug as well.
“Alright, here’s this…” She handed me a little microphone as well as a box that was meant to go in the waistband of my pants. We both got set up, and she said, “I’m going to ask you a bunch of questions, just answer them all with the first thing that comes to mind. You ready?” she checked.
“Yep.” I nodded.
“Alright, and we’re rolling.” She smiled at me over the video camera that was set up on a stand. “Everyone’s been dying to know what happened with your pack after the females left. Can you give me the story?”
“Of course.” I smiled. I felt my wolf tugging at me for some reason, wanting to take over, but I pushed her away. “When the women left, the men were broken hearted. They all wanted to know what they needed to do to fix their relationships and get the ladies back.
“So me and Ty, my mate, decided to run classes about females and relationships in general. I taught the classes, and all the guys in the pack showed up. I realized pretty quickly that some of the fault belonged to the women who had left. A bunch of the guys had no idea what more they could do to make their women feel loved.
“As it turns out, both the men and the women had things to learn. Now that everyone’s back together, they’re happier than ever.” I smiled.
“How do you think this experience will affect packs around the world?” Cosette asked. My wolf tried to take control again, unsuccessfully. I had no clue what she wanted, but apparently, she had something to say.
“I’m not sure.” I admitted. “All I know is that it completely changed our pack. Now, the Alpha and Omega are ruling together the way we were created to. Males and females are equal in the pack, and I hope that inspires people.”
“It already has.” Cosette assured me. “Our channel on YouTube has received comments, emails, and messages from shifters all over the world wanting to join your pack. What would you say to them?”
The question shocked me for a second, and that shock gave my wolf the chance she’d been waiting for to bust through and take control.
The wolf part of me reigned completely, as I answered her question.
“I would tell them to come find us.” I said. “I would tell them that they get to choose the kind of life they live, and our pack offers one different than most. More than anything else, though, I would make sure that all shifters, everywhere, understand that males and females are equal. We’re different, but neither of us is worth more than the other.
“Until all packs around the world understand that and apply it to their own shifters, my pack, the Harris Pack, will accept all newcomers looking for equality. The Harris Pack is a safe place for anyone and everyone, male and female alike.”
“Thanks, Leah. I’m sure there are many wolf shifters dying to join you. Thank you for your time.” Cosette finished.
“No problem.” I smiled at the camera, my wolf stepping back and letting me take control again.
“Wow, you really want to lead that big of a pack?” Cosette asked, her eyebrows raised.
“Not really.” I laughed. “My wolf took over, and apparently it’s what she wants. It’ll be tough, but it’s worth it. We’ll make a difference.” I shrugged.
“You will.” Cosette nodded. She gave me another hug. “I’ve got to go, but be safe, okay? See you soon.” She said, before taking all her equipment down and putting it in her car.
Ty and I drove off toward our pack, ready to accept however many wolves wanted to join us in Glacier.
We were changing the world, in however small of a way. That interview and the invitation I gave was just the beginning of something much bigger and much greater, and I was thrilled to be a part of it.
I’d always wanted to make a difference, I just never expected to do it as the Omega of the biggest pack in the world.
Epilogue
“I think there’s an extra room in the old Alpha’s house that you can stay in until you find him.”
“That would be great.” The woman smiled.
“Just follow this road until you get to the big house with a wooden porch. Someone inside will help you find it.” I assured her.
“Thank you.” She gave me a spontaneous hug before hurrying down the road.
“Another ex-Rocky?” Ty wrapped his arms around my waist, hugging me tight.
“Yep. She’s ready to find her man again.” I said, as he pressed his lips to my forehead.
“You’re incredible.” He murmured. “You’ve completely transformed the pack.”
“I just wish I could get Harris back.” I sighed.
“I know.” He squeezed me tight. “Me too.”
“Okay, guys! Welcome to Marriage and Mating, day 3. I’m Skye, and I’m taking over for Kyle.” Skye smiled out at the newest members of the pack, who were sitting on blankets and tarps, on top of the snow. There were heaters around everyone to keep them warm.
We had been getting a constant stream of wolf shifters in the two months since Cosette put the video out there, and they all wanted to know how to have better relationships.
Skye and Kyle were teaching the classes, since they both had some free time, and they were doing great.
I wished Kyle’s nose would kick into gear, though. He would appreciate his mate more than anyone, whenever he was lucky enough to find her.
Ty’s phone vibrated, and he sighed.
“I have to be somewhere. I love you.” He grabbed my chin and planted a kis
s on my mouth, plenty long and plenty sexy.
We didn’t mind that we were standing outside where anyone could see us making out; having everyone up in your business was part of pack life, especially when you’re the Alpha pair.
“Love you too!” I called out, watching him hurry off to wherever the pack needed him.
I was about to join the Marriage and Mating class when my own phone started to vibrate. My eyes caught on the caller ID, and I couldn’t hold back a smile.
“Hey, Sav.” I answered the phone.
“Lee, Marley’s dad just died.” Savanna said, and I could hear the shock in her voice.
“What?” the smile fell off my face. Marley’s dad had been like a parent to most of us girls, but Sav especially.
“He had a heart attack, he’s gone.” She said. “The funeral is on Saturday.”
“You can’t go that.” I warned. “You know you can’t go back to Poulsbo. Your family will find you.”
“I’m going.” Savanna was determined. “But I’m gonna need your help to get there.”
“Don’t be stupid!” I protested. “You’ve been running for a reason, remember?”
“Yeah, well I’m tired of running. Will you help me?”
I sighed.
“Fine, I’m in. If they mess with the funeral though…”
“Then I’ll kill them myself.” Savanna’s voice was flat. “And if my mate follows me there too, I’ll get him to do it.”
“Savanna…” I warned.
“I can’t miss this funeral.” She said bluntly. “I owe that man a lot.”
“I know. I’ll meet you there on Friday.” I agreed, hanging up the phone. It was going to be a long weekend.
When my phone vibrated again, I glanced down and saw a text from Ty.
“Dinner at the diner tonight?” he had texted. I smiled.
“Perfect.” I texted back.
No matter what was coming, I’d face it with Ty. We could handle anything, together.

About Me
I'm married to the koolest kid in town, and we basically spend our time adventuring and nerding out over things we won't admit to being into. We live in Idaho Falls, Idaho, which is... a place. And it's windy-- really windy.
I'm usually either writing up a storm on my handy dandy writing chair, reading inspiring quotes on Pinterest, or out some place with my man. I also dabble in the art of singing (though I never do it well) and do hair occasionally, but those are more of hobbies. I'm obsessed with leggings, muddy buddies, and garlic salt, and I'll never turn down a good back massage.
Finally, as you've maybe discerned, I'm a writer. Completely, totally, and unapologetically. I'm a writer because I love to write, and I love to write because it makes me a better me. Writing reminds me of the good in the world and helps me understand myself more.
So yeah. I write.
I write a lot. :D
