by A Time For Love

She turned her back to hide her tears from him.

"Okay, Roxanne, you go. Just remember one thing. You don't ever have to have anything to do with me. I won't force a relationship. When I said my hope and faith had died, that's true, but my love for my little girl never did and never will. If you ever need…"

Roxanne whirled around and barreled against his chest, sobbing. He wrapped her in his big arms, kissing the top of her head and swaying gently.

Collin wiped the moisture from his eyes and forced a smile to his face when Roxanne came to the car. He opened the door for her and after shutting it, looked up at William still standing on the porch. William mouthed the words, 'Thank you.' Collin smiled and climbed into the car and drove away from the ranch.

"Would you like to talk about it?" He asked gently.

She didn't need to ask what it he was referring to. She knew he was giving her a chance to talk about how she was feeling in regards to her family and especially William.

  "Maybe later, Darling."

They were both quiet on the drive home and once settled in the library, Collin took her in his arms.

  "Happy, Darlin'?"

"She looked at him with shining eyes. "Oh, yes, very happy."

You never really answered my question, Darlin'. Will you make me the happiest man alive? Will you marry me?"

"Collin, I want nothing more than to be your wife."

  "Is that a yes?"

"Yes." She laughed and he pulled her closer, kissing her until they were both breathless.
