Authors Notes
You are amazing for reading this book. Oh Boy! A cliff hanger!! When I did this book initially, I had not intended on a cliffhanger. In fact, I hadn’t actually anticipated having a murder, but the story led me to this place. Book 5, which I promise to have out in September, will cover this murder and its solution. I like to have a little hook at the end of each book leading up to the next book, but not a full cliffhanger, so I promise you I will try to avoid them in the future.
It has been interesting working big things into a small town. Senators, big city lawyers, and hidden treasures are fun adventures but I will keep this within Red Pine Falls for the most part. Maybe a jaunt to Salem or Portland now and again, but nothing major. I also plan to do more short stories. I’m thinking something with Cheerio and Mr. Wilberson next. He is a fun character, being all cranky and full of gumption. I love it. Thoughts are a-stirring.
Something you may enjoy knowing is that I do all of this almost on my own. I taught myself how to do covers in January of 2017, and I self-publish my works. I do and have people read my books for editing and proofreading, but I don’t have the huge team of New York editors that I wish someday to have.
That being said, for this book I did get some help from several readers! I hope the editing improves because of it. I would like to thank Sally Kopp, Gini Pierson, Emily Foster, Ellen Hargraves, and Cynthia Herr (who broke her arm right before helping me!). I deeply appreciate your help in editing, proofreading, and helping me to become a better writer.
If you want to reach out and chat, please post something on my Face Book Page. It’s an open forum that I pay attention to, and I want to hear what you have to say! Whatever questions or anything you want to say, is welcome (as long as it’s polite, of course). Also, my email address, which I promise to respond to, is [email protected] .
Please leave a review. Reviews are very important for writers, not only for honest feedback from readers, but they help tell other readers if my book is worth reading. You would do me a GREAT service by doing so.
