If his mouth wasn’t full, he might have shouted out a thankful prayer when those fingers were replaced by the unmistakable thickness of Saul’s cock. More punishment ensued as Saul entered him one slow inch at a time. Christ, didn’t they know he was a fucking porn star? That he could take it hard and fast? The torture of it had him trying to writhe closer which only had Javier taking him to the root again, forcing him still as Saul filled him.

Finally he was fully impaled on that thick, hard length and Javier released him. “Baby, you should see how hot your ass looks filled with Saul’s cock.”

No, no, no dirty talk from Javier. No, his overloaded senses couldn’t take it. Strong hands wrapped around his upper thighs, pulling him down so his body was stretched between Saul and the headboard. Then Saul pulled back nearly all the way and thrust so hard the bed moved. No, the entire fucking earth moved. It was impossible not to throw his head back, not to let loose the scream of satisfaction and need. “Fuck me…”

“Oh, he is, baby. Fucking and stretching you so good. Do you feel him deep inside, taking you, owning you? You’re ours now.” Javier reached between them, gripped his own cock and tapped it against Kyle’s lips. “If you want more you better start sucking, baby.”

Desperate for more, Kyle took Javier’s cock in deep and felt a beat of satisfaction when he screamed again. Then Javier’s mouth was wrapping around him, giving as good as he got. As they sucked each other Saul pounded him relentlessly, the hard slide of his body hitting his sweet spot with every thrust. The slam of their bodies vied with the whimpers and moans until the sounds vibrated through his head. If there was anything going on beyond the huddle of their bodies, Kyle knew he wouldn’t have heard a thing.

Above him, Javier tensed. His own body tightened in response and then the delicious flavor that was his lover splashed over his tongue. Kyle swallowed it down, eager for every drop, and kept lapping until Javier was twitching above him. He tried to hold back his own release but even as Javier pulled his hips up, he drove his head down, bobbing hard and fast, sucking and licking and scraping sharp teeth along Kyle’s sensitive length. At the same time Saul picked up speed, slamming into him harder and faster until that perfect storm that was Javier and Saul tossed him into orbit.

As his body exploded and his scream ripped through the air, he heard an answering shout and felt the stuttering thrust of Saul’s body as it emptied into his own. In that moment he was nothing and everything, out of his own mind and body, until the gentle caress of lips against his own coaxed him back. Warm bodies surrounded him and strong arms gathered him up, held him dear as whispered assurances promised that he was safe and whole and loved. He was powerless in that embrace and gave himself up until the world went black.

  Chapter 30

  Kyle

“Morning.” Kyle grunted in response to Liam’s greeting as he shuffled to the coffee pot. For a moment he looked around, disoriented, and tried to remember where the cups were. Chris came up beside him and pulled a cup down from the cabinet, then set the milk and sugar where he would see it. Grateful yet incapable of actual speech, Kyle just stood at the counter and took the first steaming sip. When he was down to half a cup, he topped off and shuffled to the table where the brothers were openly laughing at him. “Rough night?”

“Shh.” Kyle closed his eyes, hoping to block them out. When his brain cells were functioning again he’d remind them that it was rude to talk during the first cup of coffee.

“Ah, not a morning person? Yeah, you seem to be at your most energetic at midnight and two in the morning.” Liam continued to tease.

Oh, he’d been energetic all right. The first time Kyle let them completely have their way and loved it. The second time he was not willing to just lay back and take it. “I always believe in leading with one’s strengths.”

The brothers laughed again, the amusement making them appear so young. Over his cup he watched them curiously, wondering what their story was. Kyle knew from his last visit that they all had well-guarded stories that only the inner circle knew and wondered if he’d ever be part of it. “I think I like you, Kyle.”

“Already? A few wisecracks about my sex life and we’re buds?”

Liam looked at Chris and nodded. “We’ve never seen Saul playful, ever. Javi can be with us or Red sometimes, but rarely and never with Saul. There was the occasional rumor that someone heard Saul laugh and until recently that’s all we thought it was, rumor. They’re happy and it’s really nice to see.”

A month ago Liam had a gangsta thing going on that didn’t seem genuine. Now, though, he was serious and...something Kyle couldn’t quite name. “That feeling goes both ways.”

“Are you staying this time?” Now that was all concern, maybe even warning.

Defensively, Kyle answered, “They always knew I had to go the last time.”

“I know that. I’m not condemning you for fulfilling your obligations,” Liam assured. “It’s just...well, you came back and Javi will have his hopes up and...

And no one wanted Javier to get hurt, him included. “I get it. They asked me to stay and yes, I would like to, but I get the impression that’s a house decision.”

“There is usually a vote before we let someone move in.” Again Liam looked at Chris and Kyle wondered what he was looking for from his silent brother. Chris didn’t move and his expression never changed, but Liam nodded again. “Saul already talked to us. The whole vote thing would have stressed Javi out, so he took care of it quietly.”

  “While I was sleeping?”

“No, while you were gone. I’m sure you know Javi locks things away and, once you left, he didn’t speak of you. I hope that’s okay to say because…”

“Because it’s better than him being hurt that I left.” Kyle loved that they were all protective of Javier, he really did, but he really hoped they would stop hammering the point home to him.

“Saul doesn’t get that luxury.” The intuitiveness of that statement shocked Kyle. Everything Javier hid from, Saul had experienced and he had to live with the pain of it for both of them. “He’s real good at hiding his feelings, real good, you see that, right? But this was important to him.”

Liam probably meant that it was important to Saul to smooth the vote over for Javier. Yet there was something in the way Chris was watching him that made him wonder if he was missing some hidden message. If they were trying to say that it was important to Saul that he was welcomed here, that was something he would rather hear from Saul. “Okay, so how’s it work? The whole communal thing you guys have going on?”

Liam retrieved the coffee pot and filled their cups before setting up another pot. “It’s a pretty simple deal. We all contribute to the kitchen. Rent and utilities are an all in one payment. Everyone chips in to keep things clean and we have a service that comes in weekly to do the deep stuff. And we all kind of have each other’s back, like a family.”

Until he met Chase a couple of years ago, Kyle had nearly forgotten what that meant. Sure, there were phone calls with his family and the sporadic visits when they could find the time. He knew how the ranch was doing, how they fared health-wise, all the plans for his sister’s wedding—which of course he wasn’t expected to attend—maybe he even sent them a little infusion of cash once in a while, but there was no real sense of family. In Chase he found the first family member to accept him for exactly who he was. They communicated constantly and if he was in town, Chase always made time to see him. Kyle knew without a doubt that had Chase grown up with him, he would have fought for him instead of letting them run him out of town. If that failed, and it would have been doomed to fail, Chase would have packed up and left with him.

“Seems simple all around then.” Kyle didn’t know what else to say so he sipped his coffee and watched the brothers communicate. Javier had already told him that Chris’s silence was a choice. Not that he couldn’t speak, just that he’d chosen not to.

“Yes, we were in jail too,” Liam spoke out of the bl
ue, his tone conversational. He might as well have been asking what Kyle thought of the rising gas prices and the state of the economy.

“That isn’t what I was thinking and yes, I already figured out that this is the house of badassery.” The basic truth was if Saul trusted them with Javier and Javier wasn’t afraid of them, whatever was in their past wasn’t anywhere near as bad as Saul’s crimes.

“Badassery? Is that a word?” Liam asked and he shrugged. It sounded good, right? When he didn’t ask for details, Liam demanded, “You’re not going to ask why?”

“Nope, that’s your business. I’m the only one at this table who chose to sin publically.” The curiosity might kill him, but he would rather they trusted him with their story in their own time than tell him out of some obligation to Saul.

Chris pounded a fist the table and Kyle jumped. Liam translated, “Yeah, we have another rule in this house. No one gets to put themselves down.”

“Uh, okay, and what happens if I get caught?” It was almost comical to think that these men wanted to come off as hardcore criminals and had rules like that.

“Then Saul takes you into the office and you have to talk about your feelings and shit.” Liam shuddered hard. “And you can’t leave until he’s satisfied.”

An image of Saul with Jacky at the breakfast table popped in his head and the clarity that came with it made his head spin. It was going to take more than two cups of coffee to process that his big, bad lover was playing counselor to his crazy, criminal housemates. “Huh, okay, really? No, don’t answer that and I wasn’t really putting myself down, it was just a statement of fact. No one has to tell me their story unless they want to.”

“So you’d move into a house full of ex-cons and not wonder who the killer might be? Not fear for your safety?”

“Well—” Kyle shifted and looked from brother to brother. “—I know for certain that Saul would never put Javi in harm’s way. If Javi doesn’t fear any of you, why the hell would I? As for who the killer might be, is there a multiple choice option? ‘Cause I’m thinking it’s all of the above.”

Chris grinned and nodded at Liam. “He likes you, too.”

“The way you communicate is amazing.” Kyle couldn’t hold that back anymore. He didn’t think it was some sci-fi telepathic thing, but it was something unique to them.

“He’s my brother,” Liam responded simply. “I’d kill for him and him for me.”

Taking the bait, Kyle asked, “Is that what you did?”

“Yes, we killed my father.” Again with that conversational tone. Liam wasn’t going for shock value and he wasn’t bracing for a reaction either. It was an interesting approach and he wondered if it had something to do with his time with Counselor Saul. Oh, yeah, he was going to get some mileage out of that.

“Did he deserve it?” Kyle chose to ignore the distinction my father and asked the important question.

  “Yes.”

Without flinching he met Liam’s gaze head on, saw the truth behind the words, and nodded. “Then why should I fear either of you?”

  “You’re a good egg, Kyle.”

That seemed like high praise so he went for the pot to refill their mugs and turned to find another man coming through the door. Familiar green eyes widened in instant recognition, something he’d seen too many times.

“Holy shit, it really is you!” The man was definitely dumb struck.

Chris’s chair fell back with a thud and he stalked out of the kitchen. Definitely not without a word because the scathing glare he sent the new face spoke volumes. Oh, he couldn’t wait to find out what was going on between those two.

Liam sighed and huffed out an introduction. “Kyle, this moron is Bull’s brother Owen. If he survives the storm, he’s moving in at the end of the month.” Kyle took that to mean the storm that was Chris’s anger.

“Ah, I should have known the moron was here.” Saul nudged Owen aside and stalked Kyle for a kiss. Then stole the coffee pot. “What did you do to Chris now?”

“He recognized me.” Kyle grinned at Liam when Saul scowled.

Javier shuffled in, nuzzled Kyle’s neck and then just picked up his mug off the table. Around a sip of his coffee, Javier asked, “Who recognized you, baby?”

“Back the fuck up,” Owen stuttered. “The three of you are really together?”

“Oh!” Javi chuckled and settled in his chair. “Is that what’s got Chris all riled up?”

Miffed over his lost coffee, Kyle snatched the empty pot off the table and made another. As it brewed, he stood at the counter with his arms crossed and dared anyone to try to get a cup before him. While he waited, he amused himself by watching Owen flounder.

“Look, Saul, don’t glare at me like that. Millions of people know him.”

“Well, I don’t know about millions,” Kyle cut in thoughtfully. “Thousands, maybe.”

“I was caught off guard...hell, I’m still caught off guard! Did you both just kiss him?”

“Want to see it again?” Of course, Kyle wasn’t leaving the coffee pot unattended, so they’d have to come to him.

“No...hell no, my mind can’t process this.” Owen looked like he was going to hyperventilate.

Kyle laughed outright. “Seriously? Are you sure you’ve seen my videos?”

“I really do like you, Kyle.” Liam laughed and headed for the door.

As he walked out, Javier called, “Breakfast in an hour.”

Saul continued to glare at Owen. “Chris is on the roof.”

“Fuck that! I’m not going to apologize. Most normal men watch porn.”

“Most normal men have a brain to mouth filter, too.”

Kyle wanted to feel bad that everyone was ganging up on Owen, but the whole setting just did it for him. He thought he understood the family dynamic they had going on and only now realized how deep it went. These were brothers—taking care of each other, tormenting each other, and loving each other in ways only brothers could. “This is more fun than an orgy.”

Saul growled and snagged him around the waist, toppling him onto his lap. Owen cursed and headed back the way he came. Yeah, this was definitely more fun.

  Chapter 31

  Saul

Twenty people. That was the number of idiots insisting they ‘help’ and, in his opinion, that was just the first of many, many things wrong with Alaric’s plan. The more people involved, the more chance of someone getting hurt. After breakfast, he pulled Jacky into the office in the hopes of talking him out of it. When Bull first brought Jacky to him, he was carrying himself so stiffly, so defensively, that Saul wondered how he didn’t shatter under the pressure. He’d given the others a little time to adjust before he got to work, but Jacky didn’t have that kind of time. On the knife’s edge, ready to snap at any second, Saul had barely let him drop his luggage before he made his approach.

It had taken time, but they were definitely making progress and Jacky’s involvement in the plan would put that in jeopardy. While he was grudgingly grateful that they all wanted to stand with him, Saul’s real concern was obliterating the progress they were all making. Putting explosives in Jacky’s hands was equal to putting drugs in the hands of a recovering addict. They were his babies, his lover and his greatest pain.

“This is pretty impressive,” Bull murmured and Saul glanced at the board Bull was intently studying. After Jacky stood his ground…and stormed out…the rest paraded in and gave the same party line. Nothing he could say or do was going to change their minds. Even Kyle had been adamant, though he admitted if Chase wasn’t a factor, he’d be willing to reconsider.

That had Saul sketching out Alaric’s plan in hopes of finding a better way. Two hours later he had a detailed diagram up on the board and had spent another hour staring at it before he called Bull. “It’s pretty fucked.”

“Yeah, it’s that too.” Bull came and sat across from him. “Ric’s prepared to take the fall for this, but that’s not fair to him. When we met in my house and agreed to he
lp him, you knew I was in.”

“Yes,” Saul agreed because there was no point in denying the truth. Did he think the three of them could get two people out from under Durango’s nose? No. Did he agree they needed some backup? Sure. “Twenty people in play. Come on, you can’t tell me this is how you would run this mission?”

“No, it’s not what I would have done, but it’s also not what Ric would have done.” Bull shifted to look back at the board and Saul could see him weighing his words. All along he felt like there was something he was missing, some bigger meaning, and now he was sure of it. Alaric might never been military or mercenary, but he was a genius and this plan was anything but. “They were planning it on their own.”

  That stumped him. “Who was?”

Bull sighed. “The guys. They were huddling up in the garage whenever we were gone, even Colin was showing up in the middle of the day. Red told me a couple of weeks ago that he came back from Owen’s and found them all gathered in the last bay with maps and shit. So I confronted them.”

The biggest problem had been finding out where Durango had moved his base of operations, so that didn’t make any sense. “What did they think they were going to do? No one knows where he is.”

“I didn’t say they had a good plan.” Bull grinned and looked at the board again. “It certainly didn’t look like that.”

“Then…?” Just the idea of that group trying to plan a mission was mind boggling. It was like a bad joke—a jock, a biker and a trust fund kid plan a kidnapping—was it any wonder he found a grey hair that morning?
