  THE PINE HARBOUR SERIES

  Love in a Small Town

  Love in a Snow Storm

Love on a Spring Morning (expected Spring 2015)

  — ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS —

aka The People Who Inspire Me

THIS book was the last one I wrote in a long five-month writing sprint. Two novels, two novellas, two short stories. My fingers should have fallen off, and my creative well run dry, but right now I’m curled up on my couch with a cup of tea and I’m more than ready to dive into the next project. So my first set of thanks have to be to Jake and Dani, two of the easiest characters I’ve ever written. I expected more fighting, and less fucking, but they’d waited long enough. Where Love in a Small Town started with happiness and ended with tears, I only cried at the beginning of this book, and I’m okay with that. Everyone needs a bit more joy in their life, and Jake and Dani deliver that in spades.

I get a little dose of joy every day when I log into my writing chat room, ready for sprints. Charlene, Cher, Sadie, Elune, Elianne, Sera, Elle, Kate, Amity, Sera, Sidney, Diana, Nikki and all the other Divas who pop in more casually—thank you for providing a social world for this extroverted writer who needs constant feedback.

I should probably thank my Starbucks baristas, too. Many days they fuelled me well.

As always, I need to thank Cora for pushing me to write more. Molly for knowing my characters inside and out, and calling them on their shit. My Wardham Ambassadors for loving my little worlds and urging me to write more.

Dana Waganer, my new favourite proofreader.

My family, who have learned to fend for themselves and bring me cookies and tea.

And finally, my readers. Especially the quiet ones, who just buy my books and read them, and maybe tell a friend. If you’ve gotten this far, please know that you are the reason I keep writing. You are the reason I can do it full-time, and write two novels, two novellas, and two short stories in five months. You support me, but you also give me the creative juice to keep telling stories of couples finding love. I hope you never stop. I hope I never stop. And if you ever feel like being a little less quiet, I love to hear from readers.

With love and a few unexpected tears,

  Zoe
