AFFINITY BALL
The legendary craftsmen Cecil Smith created the sport after creating the ball itself. The ball is formed from A-Stones and A- Sand which is then encased in leather and metal then infused with each Affinity. Next the ball is spelled with Affinity Drain as its main ability. Affinity Ball is meant to be played in two variations.
9 versus 9 – League Standard
3 versus 3 – Amateur Standard
The sport takes from basketball, football, Soccer, and various other pre-change athletics. The current A-Ball court is 100 meters long and 50 meters wide. Half court is at the 50 meter line. Affinity Energy walls rise 50 meters and the ceiling runs the same dimensions as the floor. A circle rests mid court equidistant from each side 10 feet in diameter. Each team has an end zone with a goal that is a circle 1 meter in diameter that moves randomly along each team’s respective end zone wall. There are 3 scoring zones. The first is an elliptical 10 meters from the end zone and is worth 2 points. The second is an elliptical 25 meters from the end zone and is worth three points. The third is an elliptical 40 meters from the end zone and anything farther is worth four points.
3 versus 3 is played only on half court, the 4 point elliptical being the take back line. Players will also be given penalty scoring attempts based on fouls taken from the 3 point elliptical.
Players may hit, punch, kick, or bounce, with any part of their bodies. Players must have 1 foot planted on the floor, a wall, or the ceiling if they are holding the ball, moving the planted foot results in an immediate turnover.
The positions for 9 versus 9 are as follows:
1 – Point Guard
2 – Shooting Guard
3 – Small Forward
4 – Power Forward
5 – Center Forward
6 – Right Midfielder
7 – Left Midfielder
8 – Center Midfielder
9 – Goalkeeper
The positions for 3 versus 3 are as follows:
1 – Guard
2 – Forward
3 – Midfielder
Rules: 3 versus 3 only
No players can attack another player with any body part. Any direct touch will result in a foul if determined an intentional attack. Unintentional touching is allowed. REF’s will determine fouls.
5 fouls allowed then ejection is enforced.
Players may use any skills to interact with ball and course.
4 quarters of play with each 12 minutes long.
Teams have 5 timeouts of 30 seconds each for the whole game.
Players may move on all four sides of court.

BULETTE ‘Landshark’ – Monsters of Battle – Level 7
CLASS – Elite
WEAPON – Claws x 28, Bite x 1, Tail Strike x 1, Sand Trap x 1
ARMOR – Natural Scale Mail – Extra defense from Earth Affinity when in ground.
AFFINITIES – Earth, Sound, Spirit
The Bulette, also known as a Landshark, are denizens of the desserts and grasslands of the world. These monsters, described as a cross between a snapping turtle and an armadillo, grow between 12 – 20 feet tall and have a love for human flesh. Heavily armored from head to toe they have one weak spot behind their head that becomes exposed when it raises its crest during fierce combat and was also vulnerable around the eyes. Nothing is known of the life cycle of the MOB. Young Bulettes have never been seen. The Landshark’s jaws are so strong it can kill with a single bite.
FROST WORM – Monsters of Battle – Level 6
CLASS – Elite
WEAPON – Gaping Maw x 1, Tail x 1, Sonic Shout
ARMOR – Natural Hide, Ice Aura
AFFINITIES – Earth, Water, Sound
These massive worms live underground in the snow-covered regions of the world. Sightless these monsters use sound waves to detect their prey. Preferring to sneak attack their targets by attacking unsuspecting from below the ground. Fast, dangerous, and insatiable, Frost Worms are deadly hunters who travel in packs.
GIANT SPIDER– Monsters of Battle – Level 6
CLASS – Elite
WEAPON – Claws x 8, Fangs x 2, Webbing x 2
ARMOR – Natural Chitin Plate
AFFINITIES – Air, Spirit, Death
These monsters plague the known world. Since, The Change, more giant-sized spiders have been reported than any other insect. The reason is speculated upon, but most modern scholars believe that the growth and natural gifts of the spider have created a perfect killing and hunting machine. Whole forests have been devoid of any life due to the insatiable hunger of the giant spider.
GOBLIN “Worker” KIN– Monsters of Battle – Level 1
AFFINITIES – Earth
These monsters are the main stay of goblin kind. There are many different types of goblins. The worker being the lowest of the low, they are still extremely formidable when they are in groups. Goblins have a shamanistic type of Affinity Magic that is weaker than the human races Affinity Magic but still can cause damage. Where there is one goblin you can see there are a hundred more that you cannot.
LIZARD MEN – Monsters of Battle – Level 5
WEAPON – Claws x 10, Bite x 1, Basic Weapon Proficiencies
ARMOR – Natural Leather Armor – Basic Armor Proficiencies
AFFINITIES – Earth, Water, Fire, Air
The Lizard Men are descendants of Dragons, or so they say. Born with prodigious strength and endurance, gifted with many natural benefits, Lizard Men are considered one of the strongest of species. They exist in every type of environment and they define themselves by that. The dessert tribes hate the mountain tribes and so on and so forth. Many scholars say this is the only reason they are not the dominant race, or at least on par with humanity.
MERFOLK – Monsters of Battle – Level 5
WEAPON – Claws x 12, Bite x 1, Basic Weapon Proficiencies
ARMOR – Basic Armor Proficiencies
AFFINITIES – Water, Air, Spirit
The people of the water, as they call themselves, are amphibious by nature. Born in the oceans, rivers, and waterways, Merfolk build their homes in the water in villages below the surface. Although they breathe through gills they can also breathe on land as they have two sets of lungs. There are more civilized Merfolk in the larger oceans but one thing they all have in common is their hatred towards land dwellers.
MINOTAUR – Monsters of Battle – Level 6
CLASS – Elite
WEAPON – Intermediate Weapon Proficiency, Thunder Strike
ARMOR – Natural Hide, Intermediate Armor Proficiency
AFFINITIES – Earth, Spirit, Life
Half man, half bull, all mean. Minotaur live to fight, as soon as they can hold a weapon they are sent into battle. Success as a Minotaur is based only on your battle prowess. They would make the best warriors if they weren’t so racist. If you’re not a Minotaur you’re meat. Blessed with the lightning Affinity all Minotaur have the innate ability Thunder Strike. A fight with a bull Minotaur is always a fight to the death.
MOUNTAIN TROLL – Monsters of Battle – Level 6
CLASS – Elite
WEAPON – Club x 1, Fists x 2, Bite x 1
ARMOR – Natural Hide, Regeneration
AFFINITIES – Earth, Fire, Life, Spirit
Trolls exist in all environments. Each type is nasty, and they all share the same basic characteristics. These are that they all regenerate wounds unless damaged by fire or acid. They all have zero manners and fart,
spit, and blow snot as a second nature. Every type enjoys eating meat, any type of meat, though they prefer young meat, the younger the better. Although they are extremely stupid, they are also extremely tough and strong. They are considered pests and there is a standing order for all trolls to kill on sight.
ORC “The Foot” KIN– Monsters of Battle – Level 2
AFFINITIES – Earth
These monsters are the main foot soldiers for the Orc Clans. There are many different levels of Orc’s. The Foot being the lowest of the low, they are still extremely formidable as they are larger, faster, and more muscular then humans. The only reason they can be fought at all and defeated on one on one combat is by the advent of Affinity Skills. Orc’s have a shamanistic type of Affinity Magic that is weaker than the human races Affinity Magic.
SNOW CYCLOPIAN MAGE – Monsters of Battle – Level 6
CLASS – Elite
WEAPON – Snow Magic, Icy Staff
ARMOR – Natural Hide, Icy Splint Mail,
AFFINITIES – Water, Air, Spirit, Sound
This type of Cyclops chooses to live alone in remote snow-covered areas. Extremely anti-social to the point of killing any other members of its tribe it collects all manner of animals to experiment on and test its rudimentary magic. Then it eats them. The Snow Cyclops has no qualm about eating anything even one of their own. Cannibalistic by nature it is the main reason fro solitude. It’s a freak of nature that their race even survives.
WYVERN – Monsters of Battle – Level 5
AFFINITIES – Air, Fire, Spirit
Commonly mistaken for dragons, wild wyverns are distant cousins. These flying predators are also known as the wolves of the sky. Not only do they hunt in packs they have a rudimentary language of clicks and chirps that they use to coordinate their hunts. Think flying Velociraptor’s ala Jurassic Park. These monsters can be tamed for riding and hunting and are the preferred riding mounts for all orc kind. Wild wyverns are very aggressive and attack on site. The average common wild wyvern will grow up to be between ten and fifteen feet long. Elite pack leaders can grow up to twice that size, some of the rarer ones with four plus Affinities can grow up to four times that. Although that is only speculation as no known examples have been recorded.
WYVERN PACK LEADER – Monsters of Battle – Level 7
CLASS – Elite
WEAPON – Claws x 25, Fangs x 36, Tail Spikes x 2, Breath Weapon x 1
ARMOR – Enhanced Bone Hide Armor – Extra defense from all Affinities
AFFINITIES – Air, Fire, Spirit, Earth
Elite pack leaders are regularly twice the size of a normal wyvern, some of the rarer ones with four plus Affinities can grow up to four times that. Although that is only speculation as no known examples have been recorded. Pack leaders are extra dangerous as they attack with teeth, claw, tail, as they have a limited ranged breath weapon attack.
ORC DREAD BOSS – Monsters of Battle – Level 4 Elite
WEAPON – Duel Half-Moon Battle Axes of Fire – Added Fire damage on each strike
ARMOR – Mud Stained Half Plate – Extra defense from Earth Affinity
AFFINITIES – Earth, Fire
ODB’s are the first level of monsters with real martial skill in the Orc tribes. Comparable to a Sergeant in the Clan armies, these monsters are tougher, faster, bigger, stronger, smarter, and all around better than the foot soldiers. ODB’s have a small ability in Shamanistic Affinity Magic but almost always have Affinity weapons and armor equipped, usually taken from defeated foes.
ORC CHEF ‘Cookie’ – Monsters of Battle – Level 4 Elite
WEAPON – Cleaver of Carving and Shovel of Bashing – These weapons are passed down from Orc Chef to Orc Chef. They may only be used by Orc Chefs and add Spirit to cooking food and attack damage.
ARMOR – Orc Chef’s Apron – Coated and stained with so much food as it is never washed now adds permanent defensive armor to Orc Chef.
AFFINITIES – Earth, Fire, Water, Spirit
Orc Chefs are the only Orc’s with so many Affinities. They use these Affinities in their cooking to enhance their Orc tribesman skill and strength in battle. They are similar to Orc Shaman but are all women. Orc’s are very chauvinistic and relegate all women to subservient rolls.
SPIDER WOLF – Monsters of Battle – Level 5
WEAPON – Claws x 20, Fangs x 15, Spider Webbing x 1
ARMOR – Natural Chitin Armor – Extra defense from Earth Affinity
AFFINITIES – Earth
Spider Wolves are relentless killing machines. These MOB’s always travel in packs of a hundred or more. The size of an extremely large wolf but crossed with a spider. These monsters have six legs and are covered in a layer of chitin that acts as iron armor. Extremely vicious and predatory they attack any living creature on site and will chase until their prey or they are killed.
AVATAR of LOK’ TAR – Orc Goddess of Carnage – Monsters of Battle – Level – Unknown – Threat level color – Purple – Legendary
WEAPONS – Unknown
ARMOR – Unknown
AFFINITIES – Earth, Fire, Water, Spirit
The Avatar takes over its host infusing them with the power of the orc goddess. The host transforms into and becomes the goddess incarnate on earth.

INTRODUCTION
INTRO TRACK –
In the year 2021 humanity makes first contact with aliens. This is the beginning of a new time in human history. The aliens were part of the United Federation of Planets, or UFP, that invites species that hit a certain technological threshold to become a member of their federation. For reference, think of a United Nations in space, on a much larger scale, where each nation is a planet instead of country. Kind of like the Galactic council from Star Wars sans the force and Darth Vader.
Humanity joined the league immediately as soon as the benefits of joining were laid out. By becoming a member humanity gained access to all the advanced technology that all the different races had developed and shared with the UFP. That was the main tenet each member had to give something that enhanced the whole group. Whether that was technological, social, or economic depended on the civilization.
What did humanity bring with it? Humanity didn’t have advanced technology or access to lots of mineral wealth. They didn’t have new governing ideas or social policies that the other UFP members didn’t already have. We did bring other things that the rest of the known universe had never seen. The most important
of those was SPORT.
Baseball, Football, Soccer, Tennis, Golf, the list goes on and on, but the most important of all these was Basketball! The rest of the universe just loved, I repeat, loved humanities sports! They translated to every single culture and species. But, out of all the sports, Basketball was the most popular. It translated somehow to every single UFP member cultures social and economic system.
When the UFP meets humanity, they give it technology and welcome them to the fold. What happens next is the largest Diaspora in the history of humanity. Homo-sapiens traveled the stars. They spread to every corner of the known universe bringing with it, basketball.
It was because of basketball that humanity was accepted into the ruling council on the UFP. Basketball became so popular that it was the first time a species was allowed to join the council that wasn’t because of an extreme military or technological advantage. But basketball became so popular among the interstellar universe that humanity was catapulted to the ranks of equals!
Fast forward 150 years. Humanity has eradicated disease, poverty, war, and starvation. How is this possible you ask? Well, the United Federation of Planets, or the UFP, was made up of all the advanced races in the known universe. These member planets were made up of seven main members, and they basically supervise and control everything. Think the UN Security Council or G-7.
When the rest of the universe accepted humanity as a member of the ruling council, they were given access to all the technology and were advanced to equals with all the other species. Basketball had become every single races premier pastime. There was no one who didn’t play, has played, or wishes they still played basketball in the universe! B-Ball was so popular that whole civilizations settled their differences with basketball games and not wars. B-Ball players were intergalactic heroes.
