The sensations were overwhelmingly incredible as she swirled her tongue lovingly around me, and then took me in deeper while her hands and tail increased the sensations of pleasure to a point where everything ceased to exist, just her and I were all that mattered, as she lovingly pleasured me.

Then she moaned sensually, in satisfaction as she worked me a little faster.

The sensations were beyond anything I’d felt before as she touched or manipulated several erogenous zones at once with mouth, hands, tail, and then her wings wrapped around and caressed my inner thighs. It was an insane amount of pleasure.

The truth was though, that despite the incredibly sensations, the thing that got to me most wasn’t those sensations at all, instead it was the look of subservient devotion, love, pleasure, and worship in her eyes and on her face, as she took me toward completion. Her moans of pleasure were proof that she wanted this, craved it, and wanted me to finish inside of her mouth.

It was so intense, as her eyes never left mine, and I felt strangely vulnerable as the tingling started, and then the blissful pleasure rolled over me and I drowned in it, as I stared into her beautiful soft and loving brown eyes, as she moaned in approval.

When she finished, she blushed, “I love you Nurien.”

She crawled up into my lap a little self-consciously, as if she wasn’t sure how I would receive her act and her words of love. She straddled me, and buried her face into my neck as she conformed her nubile supple body to mine, and then she nibbled and kissed my neck.

“I love you too little imp. Your love is an amazing gift, thank you.”

That had been her true gift, not the blowjob, no matter how damned good it’d been.

When she started to cry, I wondered what the hell I’d done to her, but then all I felt through the bond was an overwhelming radiant joy. Who knew? I caressed her hair, neck, back, and wings softly, over and over again. Our feelings mixed, and I was surprised at the depth of them. I’d wondered if a demon could love without the twisted emotions, and now I had my answer, she most definitely could.

The moment ended eventually, as it had to. She was too soft, too tempting, and felt warm and entirely too good against me, so those soft emotions shifted to something else entirely, for both of us. Luckily, she was already straddling me, so we didn’t have to move very far to join our bodies together, as we shared a passionate kiss.

We spent a few hours together, making love, and of course we rutted like animals too, but even that was far more intimate with our feelings revealed to each other. Unfortunately, everything ends. I knew Lila would be back soon, and might have word about the princess. And, there was also the matter of the five dark-magic auras that just slipped into my dungeon…

Ebony looked satisfied, and very happy, which made me realize I had an ego, because I quite enjoyed the satiated look on her exquisitely beautiful face.

  Ebony said, “Dark elves.”

There were two men and two women, who looked about twenty-five to thirty in human years, so maybe three hundred or so. There was also another woman, who wore black robes and had a dagger at her side. She was a little older, looked about thirty-five, but was still astonishingly beautiful, if in a cold way as her face was icy and her blue eyes stony. They were quickly making their way down the levels, moving swiftly, and killing the level boss so they could move on. I had no doubt they were coming straight for my chamber.

The two female warriors were master level one or two with the blade but also casted dark magic in the adept range, the two males seemed to be masters of about equal power as well, but moved in and struck from the shadows. I wondered if the males were assassins. The older woman was clearly in charge however, and was a master mage level four, or maybe five. It was hard to tell without seeing their best, so I was mostly guessing. Regardless, it didn’t take five masters long to finish all fifteen levels. They weren’t as fast as Ember, Ari, and Bran, but I was almost positive all three of those were master level five, if not even higher. It was rare, but if a human won a boon from a higher being, they could get more power without it destroying their body, and extend their lives even further, if the being was willing to modify their bodies.

  “Any ideas?”

Ebony shrugged, “We won’t know until they act. They could be here to offer to serve for a time, or they could be here to destroy you. Dark elves aren’t exactly fell creatures though, they’re just elves that are born with an affinity for dark magic. They wind up leaving their tribe, and joining the dark elf tribe. From what I understand, there is even some level of cooperation, as an elf born with light, or fire, anything but dark magic really, between two dark elves will be sent back to be raised with the light elves.”

I shook my head, or would have if I’d had one at the time. Point being, they wouldn’t be harming me. The guild wasn’t aware of their presence, and though powerful I knew I could kill them quickly. I was also curious, but as they blasted their way through level fourteen, I suddenly felt very protective of Ebony.

  “Get out of sight please?”

Ebony sighed, “I suppose,” she said with a strange mix of annoyance and satisfaction, women were strange sometimes. She flew over to her home which no mortal seemed to be able to see, although I never had an issue with it.

Just moments later the five walked in, and I had the spell forms for a master level bolt made up of all six affinities. Even my six-affinity protective armor enchantment wouldn’t stop it. I was the equivalent of a master level mage of all six affinities now, with the power of at least ten combined masters, and had probably made more spells than I’d found, which was close to every spell known in Nysten. I wasn’t a being to be trifled with, and far from the weak entity I started out as.

I was confident, but not arrogant. Just in case I was wrong, I was prepared with the time slow spell as well, and would sink into the rock to escape. Just because I was tough didn’t mean I wouldn’t make contingency plans. I didn’t know everything, at least not yet I didn’t. It was only a matter of time though.

Still, the odds were definitely in my favor. When I made my avatar, I wouldn’t be nearly this strong, as a body couldn’t support it, but as my crystal it was a different story. Still, I was confident even then I’d be able to take them after what I saw Lila was capable of.

It also turned out to be entirely unnecessary, as all five dropped to their knees with hands shown in the peace sign.

The woman’s voice was melodic, but as cold as her visage, “I am called Cylene. The two war-mages are Kaley and Serina. The two assassins are Jernith and Alnor. We come with an offer to serve for a hundred years, and then to be let go to leave in friendship. For our service, we would like to learn from you, be protected from death for the duration, have stronger bodies when we leave, and we request a small supply of ten dark magic elemental stones when we leave.”

They didn’t want much, did they? Wow, look at me using sarcasm, just like an adventurer. Just the last two requests could ransom a kingdom. I decided to talk, because if we didn’t come to an agreement we’d probably wind up fighting. I cast the dark spell to enable them to hear my mind speech, but did not establish a permanent bond.

“Why did you leave your tribe?”

The woman replied, “We have not. We volunteered for this mission. Dark dungeons are always a good way to increase the knowledge of dark magic within our tribe, as well as personal power. I expect we will all be master level five, or possibly beyond in a hundred years. It is worth the trade of service to make our tribe stronger.”

I decided to counter-offer, “You ask for much, for merely the ability to exceed master level five is worth more than a hundred years of service. I will give you all you ask, for two hundred years, and a boon in the future from your tribe.”

Cylene looked shocked for a moment, but recovered quickly, “What kind of boon?”

“Free access to your library of magic and enchantments for my dungeon imp. I too seek knowledge, and the elves are a wise, ancient, and a
powerful race.”

A little flattery never went amiss, plus it was a safe gamble to assume their library would make the one in Nysten look anemic by comparison.

She said, “We ask much, but so do you. Our library holds thousands of years of elven master and dungeon built dark magic, as well as other elemental magic as we hold a repository for the light elves in case their library is destroyed somehow. I will agree with your terms for the boon, but the service will be a hundred years.”

I was glad I didn’t have a body, or the drooling would hurt my effort at haggling. I was very greedy for knowledge, and her counter to my counter was good enough for me.

“I agree with those terms, although I think you will be surprised at what I offer.”

I cast the spell and the bonds were formed, I could break them after a hundred years easily enough.

“I will teach you once a month, with all the new things I have discovered about dark magic, though I expect that to slow to a trickle in a year or two. Brace yourselves, this first one is a doozy.”

Cylene said, “What are you talking…” but was cut off by my knowledge transfer spell. Kaley and Serina also locked up as the spell connected.

It would take a long time to transfer the knowledge at a rate the three mages could absorb without damaging their minds, which gave me time to build them a temporary quarters, in a small secret cavern off my core room. Next time I expanded my dungeon, they would get to live on their own level. For now, they would have five bedrooms, and two spell chambers. I also created a crude kitchen, and thanks to Ebony’s efforts in the forest, I could easily supply meat and vegetables, as well as many spices.

I taught them over a thousand dark spells and enchantments, more than half of my own making. I also sent them the broken-down pieces of magic, and my theory of magic. I wasn’t sure if they could comprehend it as completely as a higher being, but if they could they would be able to make their own spells, or more easily modify current ones. A master already had the modify spells ability, but this would take it up to a whole new level, if not quite mine.

I supposed when they left, I could create physical library books of what I knew of dark magic, but it seemed too inefficient for teaching. At least when I was involved. Plus, this way they’d be out in their floor more, trying to kill adventurers.

Jernith asked, “What are you doing, what’s wrong with them?”

“I’m teaching them spells, which was part of the deal. Let me ask you, do you like forests?”

Jernith sighed wistfully, “Yes, giving up our forest for a hundred years is the biggest sacrifice we make.”

Well damn, I was afraid he’d say that. So much for not making forests in my dark dungeon. Maybe a twisted enchanted forest?

I’d have to give it some thought. There was no rush though, I was waiting until the gnomes were done with the golems, then I’d add another four or five levels at once. Five, to make it an even twenty…

  Chapter Fourteen

Catalina found herself staring down at Mina again, it had become her habit over the last week. She’d been driven by anger and a fierce protectiveness for her kingdom and her people, and they’d made good progress over the last week.

The morning ritual of watching her lover sleep was somehow cleansing, and calming as her feelings for the mage bubbled over in her heart. She felt centered. It’d only been three weeks since they’d first slept together, and she was far too in love with the woman for that amount of time. It was clear to her at this point, that unlike other adventurers, she wasn’t at all cut out for a one night stand type of relationship, or even friends with benefits, merely to scratch the itch after a day of fighting. She just wasn’t built that way, and her heart would always get involved.

She wondered if that made her weaker, or stronger than the others that guarded their hearts so easily, but in the end it didn’t matter, it just was.

They’d finished the conscription, and the fortifications in the valley were at least started, though they had a long way to go. Since they didn’t know how long they had, they were also training the troops there, and several mages had put up illusions around the valley so their efforts were hidden from enemy spies. Though, she didn’t quite know if that would be completely effective.

The ten thousand promised soldiers from the king would also be at the valley sometime today, which would greatly increase the speed of getting things ready, and quicken the training of all the raw recruits with all the extra sergeants.

Still, they’d returned to the castle every night in order to brief her father on the status of things, and she’d convinced Mina to stay with her in the royal wing in her room.

She saw Mina’s face crinkle and smile, though the water mage didn’t open her eyes.

“I can feel you staring at me,” Mina whispered in a soft voice.

She asked, “Does it bother you?”

Mina sighed in contentment, “Not at all. I feel safe and loved.”

They spent a little time on a proper good morning and then got up to wash…

She’d barely sat down at the breakfast table, and her father said, “There’s a woman named Lila, who says she knows you, and has intelligence on the enemy. I put her up in a guest room for the night, any idea who I’m talking about?”

She shook her head, “Lila doesn’t ring a bell, did she say where I met her?”

Her father replied, “Yes, she said she saved your life, right outside the keep.”

She raised an eyebrow, “The one that killed five masters from Jennesar? I’d like to meet her then.”

He nodded, “Your about to, I just wanted you to know what she said, so you can verify she’s telling the truth.”

Her father waved at the guard, who stepped out. A minute later the guard came back in with a woman that looked to be in her early twenties, long blue-black hair, green eyes, and was in brightly polished armor, though her weapon wasn’t in evidence at all it was obvious this was the same woman. Lila walked with a confidence that couldn’t be faked. She also had the aura of a lower level adept.

She smiled, “Lila, take a seat. I never did get a chance to thank you for saving my life.”

Lila nodded, “It was my pleasure princess. Any excuse to kill those pigs.”

She laughed, “I see. I’m curious, why suppress your aura here?”

Lila grimaced, “I can suppress my aura, but I’m not doing it now. It’s this armor, the protective enchantments are varied and strong.”

She believed her, but was a little disappointed. She wanted to feel the aura of a person who could kill five masters without breaking a nail.

“You’re here to give us information?” she asked in a slightly skeptical tone.

Then she blushed, as Lila gave her a piercing and knowing look. This woman wouldn’t be intimidated or manipulated.

Lila said, “That and more. At a minimum, I can take your guesswork away. The Jennesar army will attack in four weeks, not the two to six weeks you’ve been working with. You know about the twenty thousand church soldiers, but they’ll also be sending three hundred paladins, and sixty clerics. Among those, about ten are masters. Five percent are adept level, ten percent are journeymen, and the rest are initiates or apprentices. There will also be fifty mages, but none higher than adept level, and most of those weak.”

Her mind ran through those numbers, they were almost consistently outnumbered four to three in every single category, which meant Jennesar had a very effective spy somewhere.

  “And more?” she asked curiously.

Lila took a sip of juice, and then nodded, “With your permission, I’d like to stay and fight by your side, protect you and help take down the enemy. My… benefactor and I hate Jennesar, and the ones that lead them. I can’t think of a better way to be a thorn in their side than to help you defeat their invasion plans. I know I’m just one woman, but I can make a difference.”

  Her father asked, “Your benefactor?”

Lila nodded, “He made my armor an
d sword, and he was greatly wronged by those that rule Jennesar.”

She got the feeling Lila had told the truth, but at the same time had hidden her real meaning about those that rule Jennesar.

  “And who is this benefactor?”

She sighed, “He wishes to keep his identity unknown at this time. I know that won’t help you trust me, but I’m sworn to serve him and it is his wish. If you require, I will swear I meant what I say and will protect you and yours, and that we will part peacefully at the end of the coming battle.”

“And if as a princess I order you to tell me, or deny your request?”

She shrugged, “I’m not one of your subjects, but at the same time you deserve respect since I am in your kingdom. In that case I will leave in peace, and join the battle anyway when the time comes, away from you or the command area. You’ll lose out on my protection, and other information I have on the enemy. I am far older than I look, and don’t care for the political waltz. Do you want my help, or not?”

She didn’t like it at all, but for some reason she also trusted the woman’s word. Lila didn’t have to save her, or come here and share vital intelligence about the enemy. The woman hadn’t asked for money or resources for her help or information either. All Lila seemed to want is a chance to kill the invaders from Jennesar. She’d be foolish to turn her away. She glanced at her father, who shrugged, which meant he was leaving it up to her.

“Very well, we’d be happy for the assistance, under your stated limitations.”

Lila smiled and nodded, as she picked up and ate another piece of bacon…

It was a horrible plan, but Carlton hadn’t been able to think up a better one. It wasn’t that he was bad at tactics, it was just the enemy was overwhelming.

He looked again at the list of names. It was entirely too short, yet longer than he’d dare to hope was possible. There were forty-three names on it, almost thirty percent of the current paladin and cleric population in Tenemin. He supposed they weren’t killed to avoid questions. He didn’t doubt that they would be the first to be stabbed in the back on the battlefield by their traitorous brothers, possibly only the duke and king would rate a higher priority for their upcoming betrayal.
