Louise shook her head. “Never. I’m not like Nicole or Claudette. I can’t be as dainty as they are.”
She sat on the bed beside her new friend. “You are just as dainty as they are, and more lovely besides.”
Pink rose in Louise’s cheeks, unaccustomed to compliments. “No.”
Sophia took hold of her chin and turned her. “You are lovelier to me.” Then she took the plunge. Leaning forward, close enough for their breasts to touch. She held there, expecting Louise to retreat.
Instead, Louise smiled and covered Sophia’s hand with her own. “I’m so glad you came, glad you stayed. If only we could pay you properly.”
“There is something I desire that you could provide.” She lunged in, kissing the other woman.
Louise pulled back, brows raised. “Really? That’s what you want?” She closed her eyes and sighed. “I can do that.”
Sophia’s jaw dropped. She hadn’t dreamed it would be so easy to coax her. Sealing her lips to Louise’s, she drank in the human scent, longing for blood as well. Resisting those instincts, she went slowly, trailing her fingers over breast and hip.
“Lie down.”
Louise’s eyes widened and she froze in place.
“Trust me.” Sophia knelt to gather up the other woman’s chemise, inching it toward her head.
When Louise still didn’t move, Sophia returned to her knees, kissing one leg and then the other.
“Oh, oh, God.” Louise’s fingers gripped Sophia’s hair. The vampire paused but Louise neither pushed her away nor pulled her closer. After a moment, Sophia continued toward her goal, just visible behind the curly hair framing it.
Louise’s legs wobbled and she stumbled back, falling onto the bed and yanking on Sophia’s hair. Her grip opened enough to prevent ripping the strands from her scalp, but Sophia rubbed her head to ease the pain.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
Sophia shed her clothes, joining Louise on the bed. “It’s a little hurt. You can make it up to me.” Taking Louise’s hand, she moved it to her own bush of curls. Sophia slid her finger over Louise’s hot slick skin, teasing her lips open.
Louise’s fingers curled and scraped over Sophia’s sensitive parts, making her whimper. Opening her hand, Louise tried again. “Like I do for myself,” she murmured, stroking and pressing.
“Yes.” Sophia moved her fingers faster, around the sensitive nub making Louise quiver and twitch away.
Penetrating her with two fingers, Sophia gave the other woman something to squirm against and fuck. While Louise bucked wildly, Sophia took her chance to bite the woman’s ear, sucking hard to pull all the blood the small nip could provide. Thanks to her frequent visits to the barn, a little was all she needed.
Louise put a hand to her head once her peak had passed. “God, Sophia, I’ve never... What can I do for you?” She ran her fingers through Sophia’s short curls, making her arch. “I don’t think I can do what you did, but I’ll do what I can.”
Sophia took hold of Louise’s wrist, directing her to the best spots. Calluses on Louise’s fingers rasped against her sensitive bud and lips, both painful and delicious, pleasure shot from them through her. Dragging her hand down, Louise used two fingers inside her, pumping them to Sophia’s delight. A rush of blood ran through her, and although it wasn’t quite the release Louise had achieved, or that she might have with the dairy farmer, she found relief from the sexual frustration that had built over the day.
“Thank you. Thank you,” she murmured, curling up behind Louise.
Lacing her fingers through Sophia’s, Louise held her close. “Thank you.” After a few minutes of silence, she asked, “Can we do that every night?”
“I hope so.”
Lying beside Louise, Sophia found it difficult to keep her hands to herself. She ran her palm over the other woman’s bare thigh, let it fall on her breast, cupping very slightly. With her nose pressed to the nape of Louise’s neck, Sophia inhaled deeply and fought the urge to bite.
Rubbing her thighs together, she also fought the desire to rub her body, her sex, against Louise. Although she managed to control her teeth, her fingers ventured beyond. They bunched up the cotton of Louise’s chemise, set back in place after their love making. Louise’s coarse hair, still damp, tickled Sophia’s knuckles.
Louise moaned quietly, her breathing slow and even. She had fallen asleep.
Chiding herself, Sophia rolled away and off the bed. In the quiet of the empty kitchen, she rubbed her own breasts, slipped her fingers between the folds of her skin that had swollen with her arousal.
After several long minutes, she admitted defeat. The heat would not be quenched by her efforts. She would have to distract herself instead.
That proved both effective and productive. She cleaned and polished every surface in the solarium, a room she couldn’t enter when the sun was up. Thinking back to her last words with Louise, she wondered if she could manage to do this every night. Would the frustration overwhelm her? If it did, she would simply have to plan a visit to the barn. Her farmer could scratch that itch in a way Louise couldn’t. Not yet, anyway.
“Sophia?” Louise descended the stairs in only her shift, stretching.
Sophia’s eyes lingered on her perky breasts, accentuated when the chemise pulled taut across them. Closing her eyes, she swallowed her sudden and not unfamiliar desire. “Good morning, Louise. I have already started tea. Shall I help you dress?”
“No, I can do it. You have your hands full with Nicole and Claudette.”
That was true, but Sophia would much rather have handfuls of Louise.
Louise rubbed sleep from her eyes and regarded Sophia. “Last night, was that just... one time?”
Sophia grinned. “Only if you want it to be. I want more. I want to join you again tonight.”
Louise smiled back. “I don’t think you should help me dress. I might never get my clothes on.”
Sophia laughed with the youngest sister. “I shall restrain myself.”
Their laughter died when Nicole called from upstairs. “Is the tea ready?”
Sophia picked up her loaded tray and turned her head to give Louise’s lips a peck. “Until next time.”
When Louise’s gaze followed her up the stairs, Sophia dared to believe she might actually be happy here.
Chapter Three
Nicole burst through the door of Louise’s bed chamber. “Louise, where is Sophia? Where is breakfast?”
Sophia sprang away from Louise, breaking their kiss much more harshly than she would like. “I will get it.” Running down the stairs, building up the fire and setting the pot of porridge on it took mere seconds. Having the meal prepared the day before had allowed her to spend part of the morning with Louise, but like a fool, she hadn’t paid attention to the time passing.
“Where are your clothes?” Nicole asked, standing on the bottom stair with her hand on the banister.
“Upstairs. I’ll dress now, if you’ll excuse me.”
Nicole shifted to stand in the center of the staircase. “How did you get here so fast? I ran after you, but even then, you had done two tasks before I arrived.”
“I am very nimble.” Sophia looked at her bare toes, afraid to meet Nicole’s gaze.
Her thin lip rolled back in a sneer. “Indeed. Perhaps I will have to give you more tasks if you can complete them so quickly.”
Sophia clenched her jaw. She longed to retort but feared losing her home and Louise. Eventually she managed to speak. “May I dress, please?”
Nicole reached out to cup one of Sophia’s breasts. The vampire’s head flew up, searching the eldest sister’s face. “You are quite lovely. It seems a shame to allow you to cover up.”
Sophia’s mouth worked on air, unable to find words, especially French ones.
“However, that would likely make your work difficult.” She stepped aside, allowing Sophia to pass. “Come to my room tonight.”
Sophia stopped at the top of the
stairs, twisting to look at Nicole over her shoulder.
“You will undress me from now on.” Nicole approached slowly, climbing the staircase and passing Sophia on her way to the parlor. “Bring me tea.”
Claudette opened her door. “What’s going on?” She gasped and covered her mouth. “Sophia! Where are your clothes?”
Sophia dashed into Louise’s room, where her clothes had been scattered on the floor. Her lover was dressed but sat on the bed.
“I’m sorry, Sophia. I never thought...”
Busy pulling her dress over her head, Sophia didn’t answer immediately. “What will be, will be.” She didn’t know many French idioms but had picked up that one. Still in a hurry, she ran off to finish heating and then serving breakfast.
Nicole paid her no mind through the day, but Claudette was insatiably curious.
“Tell me, Louise. You know, I can tell.” The middle sister made an unusual visit to the kitchen, following Louise.
The youngest sister went to work, kneading bread alongside Sophia. Claudette kept her hands and skirts away from the flour covered surface.
Louise lost her temper. “She was in my room as she is every night.”
Claudette’s eyes bulged. Without a word, she turned and headed back upstairs.
“Sacre,” Louise cursed, punching the dough with added gusto. “What do you think she will do? Are we in trouble?”
Sophia shrugged. “We’ll get through.” She needed to tell Louise about her eldest sister. “Nicole wants me to undress her tonight.”
Louise sighed and tossed her lump of dough onto the table. “I guess that rules out punishment.”
After the evening meal, Nicole beckoned Sophia to follow her. “Close the door.”
Turning, Sophia closed the heavy wooden door. It sounded like a bar had fallen in place, locking her in the room.
“I expect you to give me as much attention as Louise.” The imperious woman didn’t appeal to Sophia at all. There was a good chance she could feed from her, though. Even taking from Louise almost every night, and the dairy farmer once or twice a week, she was thirsty so much of the time. Maybe Nicole would have an accident tonight.
Thinking about her own satisfaction, she traced Nicole’s waist, releasing her skirt. Unlacing the kirtle, she set that aside as well. Swooping Nicole’s hair to the side, she bit into the neck revealed.
“Ow!” Nicole pulled away before Sophia’s teeth could sink in, twisting. “Vampire!”
Sophia ran forward, knocking Nicole to the bed and pinning her there. “Yes. Last words?”
Nicole showed no fear, smirking instead. “If you wanted to kill us, we’d already be dead. You want to hide.” One hand still clapped over her bleeding throat and the other pinned between them, she wriggled her hips, trying to squirm free. “You want Louise. Don’t want her to know what you are.” The wiggling became more focused, trying to rub herself on Sophia. “Did you do this? Make me... wet?”
Sophia eased up, startled.
“If you want to remain hidden, to return to Louise tonight, you will have to relieve me.” She spread her knees and drew a line up her slit, circling the bud at the top. “On your knees, vampire.”
If she killed Nicole, Louise would never forgive her. She wasn’t sure the remaining sisters would have the capability or wiliness to maintain their charade. She’d be tossing them into a grave as well.
“I will bite you once more. That is what makes your blood boil.”
“Yes, dirty woman, more. Now.” Grabbing Sophia by the shoulders, she pulled her toward her crotch.
Sophia knelt on the floor at the foot of the bed, moving Nicole until her pussy was in an optimal spot. The smell of Nicole gave rise to Sophia’s own sexual urge. Nipping at Nicole’s outer labia, blood mixed with the intoxicating juices and Sophia was eager to lap it all up.
Nicole shrieked at the bite and ground her hips into Sophia’s face. Groaning and grunting, Nicole tossed her head and gripped her own breasts, pinching and pulling on her nipples.
“More. More.”
Sophia opened a new wound as the first closed, eager for more herself. When Nicole’s cries reached a fever pitch, Sophia sucked hard on her clit, rendering Nicole a snuffling, blubbering puddle.
Wiping the back of her hand across her mouth, Sophia turned to find Louise standing in the doorway. “Is she well?”
Sophia climbed on the bed, tucked her arms under Nicole’s and lifted her up. Pulling back the covers, she tucked them in around the barely conscious woman. Nicole turned over and promptly fell asleep.
“She’s fine.” Louise didn’t relax. “Come and see.”
The youngest sister approached tentatively, but she smiled when Nicole snorted and rolled over again. “Is that a bite?” Her finger touched the scabbed over wound.
“Yes. Let’s go to your room and I can explain.”
Claudette was also in the hall. “Did you kill her?”
Louise answered. “No, but she bit her.”
Sophia squared her shoulders to face the heavy gazes with strength. “I did. I’ve bitten you as well, Louise, and nothing came of it.” She turned to Claudette. “Would you like me to bite you?”
“What are you?” Claudette asked, stepping back.
Sophia sighed. “Your maid. One that can work night and day without touching your meager food supply.” She muttered in Italian, wandering away from the pair. “What was the point of this? I’m going to be thrown out anyway.” She stirred the coals in the oven, preparing it to bake the loaves she and Louise had made.
“Sophia?” Louise’s pleading tone cut through her anger into her heart.
Her voice clouded with sadness she answered, “I’m sorry. You have reason to worry, but you shouldn’t. I am your maid. I don’t want to hurt you, or Nicole.”
“But you could.”
Sophia hung her head. “Yes.”
“Do you need us?” She came closer, touching Sophia’s cheek.
“Yes. I need blood.”
“Blood.” Louise picked up a knife and Sophia grabbed for it, catching the woman’s wrist. Louise continued to pull, but Sophia’s strength far outmatched hers.
Eventually Louise dropped it. “Fine.”
“This way is better.” Sophia kissed Louise, biting into her lip hard enough to break the skin.
Louise gasped and pulled back, touching her mouth with her hand. After a glance at her fingers, she embraced Sophia, kissing her in return. She tried to turn Sophia, to lift her to the table, but the vampire stopped her.
“Let’s go back upstairs.”
Louise hurried up the flight and still didn’t beat Sophia to the bedroom. The vampire shucked her dress and perched on the edge of the mattress.
“Is that part of this?” Louise touched her lips again. “God, I want you to touch me so badly.”
Sophia stood and relieved Louise of her clothing, lifting her shift last, wanting all of the woman beneath. She frowned slightly at the ribs she could see clearly.
“Please?” Louise murmured, wrapping her arms around Sophia.
Shaking off any hesitation, Sophia kissed Louise again, nibbling on the wound to open it again. Her tongue ran along Louise’s teeth, lapping up the blood and tangling with the woman’s tongue. Louise reached down to grasp Sophia’s bottom, swaying the longer they kissed.
In tiny steps and nudges, Sophia moved them closer to the bed and pushed Louise to lie upon it. Then she slid down, giving Louise the same attention Nicole had gotten.
“Oh, yes, Sophia. That’s good.”
Louise hooked her knees over Sophia’s shoulders. Buried there, Sophia drank up the woman’s juices without spilling more blood. She used her fingers to probe Louise, letting her clamp on them while Sophia sucked on her clit.
“Come for me, Louise. Tell me how good it feels.” The vampire drew on those words, cussing, to fuel her own arousal. Her free hand slipped down to touch herself and once Louise peaked, the second joined it, one inserted and one
rubbing.
It was Louise’s turn to take charge. “Lie back.” Shifting down, she replaced Sophia’s fingers with her own, and then her mouth.
“You taste good. I never guessed.” Sophia had kissed Louise with her juices still on her face, but Sophia’s weren’t familiar to her. “Sweet, like honey.”
“Oh, god, Louise, please.” She squirmed and writhed, desperate for release. There were times that she could find peace with gentle teasing, but tonight, she needed much more. Needing to erupt, she took advantage of Louise’s willingness to indulge her. “More, please. More.”
Louise sat in a variety of positions, switching from mouth to fingers and back, never stopping and slowing only occasionally. It all built Sophia higher and higher.
“Yes, yes. Just a little more.”
Louise chuckled and sucked at Sophia’s skin again. “I think it won’t take a little.”
“More fingers.” Louise had three already, but she obliged, slowly sliding her whole hand into Sophia’s pussy.
“Yes!” she screamed, quivering around Louise’s hand. Arching her back, the orgasm washed over her, taking with it the discomfort she’d started to accept as a part of life.
“Oh, good. We can sleep now?” Louise yawned widely.
“Poor dear,” Sophia cooed. “Here, rest your head on me and I won’t wake you in the morning.” Louise’s head on her breast, Sophia kissed the top of her head and smoothed the woman’s hair. “I love you.”
“I love you, too, Sophia. I don’t care what you are.”
“Thank you.” It was far more than she could have expected, more than she deserved. In return, she would do everything she could for Louise and her sisters. There had to be a way to find them husbands, ones with enough wealth to provide a life similar to this one. If she put her mind to it long enough, something would arise.
Chapter Four
Sophia heard the horses approaching before Louise did. “Someone is coming.”
“Quick, tell Nicole. She will have to greet them.” Her French turned to mumbling, which Sophia had trouble translating. She understood father, money and home though.
