B9 Hometown Lover Page 5

by Love, Annabelle

My fingers pushed between my folds and I stroked myself as he watched.

As soon as his patience was worn out, he propped himself up, yanked me towards him and rubbed the head of his cock over my slit. He pushed forward slightly and I opened up for him a bit and groaned. Peter gripped my hips before he glanced up at me.

  "Ready?" He asked.

  I nodded hard. "Ready."

Peter sank into me slowly but firmly. Inch by inch he buried inside of me until I felt stuffed and stretched. He waited for me to adjust as I breathed and nodded when I wanted more. Eventually, he was completely inside of me and I shivered as he pressed against my spot perfectly.

His lips found mine as he started to raise and lower his hips. I moaned against his mouth and let myself be stretched until I really felt full. The slow, torturous thrusts he gave me only made me crave more, deeper, harder. I groaned.

"Joanne," he whispered against my ear before he tugged it between his teeth. "Damn you feel amazing."

  "Peter," I groaned.

I could hardly form words. Everything felt like heaven as he pumped inside of me faster and faster.

I reached up and wrapped my arms around his neck, my fingers at his scalp as he picked up speed even more. I heard the way his breath shuddered in his throat and I knew it wouldn't be long before we both reached the end of our ropes.

Peter held onto me tightly as he thrust deeply and moaned my name nonstop. It was like he couldn't get enough. Almost like he was on another planet. I loved it. I wrapped my legs around his waist and rubbed my clit until I felt the pleasure build once more.

He squeezed and pinched my nipple between his fingers as I cried out and shook my head. I could feel another orgasm approaching. My nails dug into his skin, but he didn't even seem to notice.

  "So good," he moaned. "Fuck."

"Yes," I nodded, barely able to form words. "So… mffff… good."

Our lips crashed together as my back arched and my toes curled.

I came so hard I saw a burst of white behind my lids before I fell onto the mattress completely out of energy. Peter gripped my hips and held me in place while he thrust in and out. I heard the shaky sound of his voice before I felt his cock twitch hard inside of me. Warmth filled me and I groaned as he panted and held his face in the crook of my neck.

I stroked his hair and smiled. I'd had so much fun that I didn't care that we were both sweaty and he was heavy on my chest. Instead, I curled up with him and tried not to fall asleep from the warmth and comfort that radiated from his body.

After a while, he grunted. "We should clean up."

"Do we have to?" I asked.

He chuckled. "Yes, we should. Come on."

I groaned, but as he pulled out it turned into a moan. He helped me up and I padded behind him to the bathroom.

  What a cute butt.

I grinned but kept it to myself as I realized just how much I could use a shower.

  Chapter 8

  Peter

Joanne nuzzled into my side and I grinned as I woke up and remembered the day before. We'd spent the rest of the day in bed. I even brought our food into bed with us and we ate while talking about life and catching up more. We'd only passed out in the early hours of the morning, exhausted and a little tipsy on red wine.

I opened my eyes and glanced down at her. She was still up against me, one leg over my stomach and her hand on my chest. I'd realized she was just as clingy a sleeper as she'd always been. I stroked a finger down her chin and she smacked her lips before she pursed them. I smiled.

How can she be so cute?

I really hadn't expected any of it, but now that she was in my arms, I liked having her there. We always used to share a spot when we slept. Usually, because Joanne had nightmares, but she must have grown out of it.

As soon as I thought that she whimpered. I watched her purse her lips more before she frowned and dug her nails into my chest.

Nope, she definitely still has them.

I rubbed her back softly and planted a kiss on her head. She groaned, batted her lashes and slowly opened her eyes before they darted around in confusion. Once she realized where she was, she softly smiled up at me.

  "Hey," she whispered.

"Morning," I smiled. "You were having a bad dream."

She sighed. "Yeah, I still get those sometimes. I'm okay," she said as she kissed my chest.

I nodded. "Well how about we get up, see how the snow is doing and then I'll make you a nice big breakfast? I need to check on the cattle this morning and make sure they're doing okay in the cold."

Joanne set up quickly. "Are they okay out there like that?"

I ran a hand down her arm. "It's okay. They should be. I set up extra food and water before the storm hit and they should be nice and warm. Although I'm sure they could use more food and water by now."

"Do you need help?" She asked.

"You want to trudge out in all that snow with me today? It's going to be freezing and hard work."

"I can do some hard work," she said. "Don't worry about that."

"Let's do it then. After breakfast. No wandering out in the cold without a good meal in our stomachs."

  "Deal," she said.

We climbed out of the bed and shared a shower. I grabbed the shampoo and worked it through Joanne's hair as she hummed and leaned against me. She practically melted under my fingertips as I massaged her scalp and helped her relax. The tension that had been in her shoulders disappeared the more I worked until she came out of the shower happy and smiling.

"I didn't even know I needed that," she laughed. "Thank you."

  "Hey, I still know you."

We settled into the kitchen and worked on breakfast together. As I watched her whisking the eggs and adding salt to the bowl, I felt something tighten in my chest.

  I know she can't stay.

I tried to remind myself of that fact as I stared at her in the shorts she wore. She looked so perfect against the backdrop of my kitchen, soft and sweet and real.

"You're staring at me again weirdo," she called as she poured the eggs into a pan.

"I can't help it. You look really good in my kitchen," I admitted.

  "Do I?" She grinned.

  "You know you do."

I swept her hair off her neck and kissed her there. She moaned and leaned against me. That small movement made me want to keep her wrapped in my arms and pressed against my body all day.

"Did you miss me while you were gone?"

"Yeah," she admitted. "A lot more than I thought I would. I mean we were friends, but I thought I could move on and everything would be alright. That I would forget this town and everything and everyone in it eventually. That never happened with you."

"You really wanted to forget me?" I asked.

"It was too painful to think about anything that had to do with home. Every time I did I would have to block it out just to make it through the day."

I ran a hand over her cheek. "That sounds like hell."

"Couldn't have been any easier for you," she whispered. "I know how much you needed to talk to me most days and I felt like I was abandoning you."

I shrugged. "You had to do what you had to do. I don't blame you for that."

"You're so nice to me," she sighed.

"Haven't I always taken care of you, Jo Jo?" I asked.

  "You have. Always."

We cooked the rest of our food and devoured it at the table. Somehow it felt even lighter after we'd both gotten things off of our chests. By the time we were done eating, both of us were warm and full and ready to go.

"Small problem," Joanne said as she dug through her bag. "I don't have anything that's too wintery. I mean I have some jeans, but my coat isn't thick enough and my boots would get wet in like five minutes and my feet would fall off."

"Can't have that," I said as I thought about what to do. "Come here and grab your jeans and a shirt that's not a tank top."

She laughed. "I feel very judged."
<
br />   "Oh, you should."

She followed me to the room and slipped into her jeans and a t-shirt she'd brought as I dug around in the closet. When I came out of it, I showed her my spare heavy coat and a pair of boots I had as well. She slipped into the coat and after we'd stuffed the shoes so they would fit, she stepped into them.

I took a look at her and had to cover my mouth to keep from chuckling.

"What are you laughing about?" She asked as she propped her hands on her hips. "Nothing… you just… you look adorable in my clothes."

Joanne glared at me but it didn't make her look any less cute. The sleeves of my black jacket went down over her hands they were so long. The boots looked like she would hardly be able to walk. I gave her a pair of gloves and a hat to go with the outfit as she continued to glare at my quiet chuckling.

"How long are you going to be amused by this?" She asked.

I grabbed my phone and quietly turned as she adjusted the clothes. I quickly took a picture and her mouth flew open. She ran at me and grabbed for the phone. We went down in a pile of limbs on the bed as I laughed and kept the phone out of her reach.

"Delete that picture Peter Jones or I'll kill you!"

"But you look so cute in it."

  "Peter," she growled.

  "Okay okay," I laughed.

I quickly went through the phone and then put it away. She looked satisfied with the action and finally climbed back onto her feet, with my help, of course. I changed and made sure I was nice and warm before I headed for the door.

When I opened the door I could see that at least the snow had started to melt a bit. There was still no way I could drive out, but it was a little easier to trudge through it. At least for me. Joanne grabbed my arm and held on as we traversed the snow together.

"Don't let me fall on my face," she said as she laughed and clutched tighter. "I swear I don't want a face of snow."

"If we were on our way back to the house I'd totally push you over and give you just that. I don't want you to be cold while we're working though."

"Oh you're such a gentleman," she deadpanned.

  "I know, right?"

I earned an elbow for that as we finally made our way to the barn and a huge shed beside it. I started checking on the cattle to make sure they were alright, but with all the shelter I'd provided, they looked as if they hadn't had a hard time at all.

"Wow, there's so many," Joanne said.

"Just sixty for now," I told her. "There's potential for more. I bought the ranch next door and I plan to merge it all into one. I need to hire some more help though before I can expand."

"Wow, you've been doing so well."

"Thanks. I try," I said before I nodded toward the feed. "And they'll need fresh water, but I'll do that."

  "Let's get to work."

I smiled at how excited she was. She quickly started to haul feed like it was no big deal, but I knew how heavy it could be. I checked on her, but she waved me off with a hand.

"Do you know how much I lug around in Vegas? Kids, plus dogs, plus strollers, toys, diaper bags, sometimes groceries. I'm used to using my muscles, so don't worry about that."

"Impressive, Jo. Keep it up and you'll be beating me at arm wrestling someday. I mean for once."

"Hey, I was a very tiny teenager, but now I could take you," she laughed.

"I'll remember you said that when I throw down my challenge."

Joanne shook her head at me and went back to doing her share of the chores. I'd expected her to get cold and tired before too long, but she worked without complaint until we were done. We stood back and admired our work. She brushed a hand over the cow closest to her and smiled.

"They're really sweet. I forgot about that," she whispered. "This was fun."

"Honestly, I've never brought a woman out here in the cold. My ex used to come out sometimes, but she hated this stuff. Or anything that would make her get dirty. She was more of the indoor type."

"I can't imagine you dating anyone who didn't just live and breathe dirt and mud. You were always getting dirty somehow when we were younger."

"Oh yeah. My mom used to ask me all the time if I'd rolled in the stuff," I laughed. "It used to drive her right up a wall."

I glanced over at her. She smiled as she took in everything around us. I could see the way her eyes darted around, collecting memories and storing them away. That ache in my chest turned into full-blown longing.

I don't want her to leave.

The realization was sudden and strong, but I knew that I meant it. I didn't want Joanne to leave me again. Worse than that, I didn't want her to leave the ranch again. It suited her. Her cheeks were pink, her eyes determined and the smile on her lips said exactly why she should stay.

I could see a life with her.

Joanne took my hand and I jumped a little in surprise. "Now, I'm cold," she chuckled. "Can we go inside and have warm-up cocoa?"

"And warm up sex?" I asked with a grin.

  "I could go for that."

"Alright," I laughed. "Let's get you out of my clothes."

  Chapter 9

  Joanne

"We have to stop doing this," I groaned as I stretched out on Peter's couch.

"Never," he called from his spot on the floor where he hadn't quite moved in a while. "I will never stop doing this. Seriously, how did we never do this?"

I laughed and buried my face in my arms before I peeked over at him. His eyes were closed, but he wore a smile on his lips. His dark hair was a wild mess on his head and every inch of his body was bare as he laid on the rug and let the fire from the fireplace warm him.

I could look at him like this all day.

Honestly, I'd thought this would be more awkward, but it wasn't. It was familiar and comfortable, like we'd been together for years. I reached down the side of the couch and pushed my fingers through his hair. The smile on his face widened and he hummed content and happy into them.

I can't stay. It was something I kept having to remind myself. The problem was that Peter had always been home, and the knot in my stomach said I would feel like that even when I ran back to Vegas.

Slowly, I pulled my hand away.

  This sucks.

I was constantly torn between giving in to whatever bit of happiness I had and returning to the life that I'd worked so hard to build for myself out in the desert. Peter's eyes opened and he trained them on me.

  "What's wrong?"

I smiled. "Not a thing. My arm is just getting tired from hanging off of the couch."

"You know I can always tell when you're lying, right? You were always shit at it."

"I'll take that as a compliment. Who wants to be good at lying?" I laughed as I side-stepped the question and sat up. "How's it looking out there?"

Something crossed Peter's face. I couldn't put it into exact words, but it was a mix of disappointment and irritation.

Is he mad at me? He knows I can't stay here forever, right?

I'd forgotten how quickly Peter could get attached. He'd always been that way, especially when it came to me.

Peter pushed himself up and walked over to the window. He peered out of it and I watched the muscles in his back as he shifted and glanced around. I wanted to go over and poke his butt.

Seriously, how did I never know how cute his butt is?

I grinned before he turned around.

"I think we can get out soon."

"Good," I sighed. "The sooner I deal with the house the better."

"Or," he said as he walked over and lifted my legs so he could slide underneath them. "You could stay here a few more days."

"I've already done that," I told him. "I can't just stay here forev… oh my… what are you doing?"

Peter's hands wrapped around one of my feet and his thumb glided across my skin. There was just enough pressure to make sure it didn't tickle but worked the muscles instead. I groaned into the couch before I glanced over my shoulder at him. He was focused on his task and I was pret
ty sure I was going to die.

"Does that feel good?" He asked, his voice husky and deep.

"Everything you do feels good," I answered honestly.

It was true. Every time he touched me I was in heaven. And it wasn't just the sex. Peter washed my hair with more care than a salon. He stroked my back when I was falling asleep. His lips caressed my skin when he thought I wouldn't notice. It was as if he absolutely could not get enough of me and it made my heart swell to know that someone out there felt that way about me.

"You know what I'd like right now?" Peter asked.

  "What's that?" I mumbled.

"To go into town and go to a real dinner."

My eyes snapped open and I glanced at him. Peter glanced back at me, intent and hopeful. I swallowed thickly.

Is that his way of trying to ask me out on a date?

I could see the look in his eyes, the way he always wanted to hold me and I questioned it all. He can't be feeling anything for me, right? We're just friends.

I knew I couldn't date him, not when I was moving back home shortly. There was no way I could do that.

"And catch up as friends," I said quietly. "Right?"

"What else?" He asked with a laugh. "We already agreed this would be a one-time thing."

"Well it's been more than one time," I offered as his hand moved up my leg and squeezed pleasantly. "Many, many more times."

"And I've enjoyed every last one of them."

Peter smiled, but his eyes wouldn't quite reach mine. I could feel the frown that tugged on the corners of his lips and threatened to consume him. I knew he didn't want me to go. We were friends after all.

Who'd want their best friend to leave?

And we'd picked things right back up where they'd left off. Even after so many years, it was like no time had passed at all.

Once Peter finished, I rolled over and wiggled into his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck and planted a kiss on his neck and cheek. Finally, I brushed my lips against his before I kissed him deeply. He pushed his fingers into my hair and kissed me back, his sigh against my mouth relieved and longing.

My phone rang from its place on the coffee table and I groaned. The last thing I wanted to do was go back to the real world. Just for a little while, I wanted to be with Peter and enjoy every moment of the time that we had together.
