“Open your eyes, love.” Brandon gave her slow strokes, taking his time. Kanielle’s eyes slowly fluttered open, her mouth agape from the sensation he was causing inside her. Her body was flush against his, as tears welled in her eyes. They were making love to the sound of their own music. Flesh to flesh, all you could hear were their soft moans.
Kanielle gasped every time he thrust into her. Her whole body was his, but now he would fight for her heart and soul. The connection was there before, but now the electricity ran from his body to hers. She eased her legs around his waist with her feet resting on his ass, taking him in deeper. A tear suddenly dropped from the corner of her eye.
Brandon wiped it away. “With me you’ll never have to shed a tear.”
She circled her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. Kanielle rolled her hips, taking him in. This is where he belonged he realized, as his rhythm sped up, and she followed his lead. He was losing control as her pussy muscles squeezed his cock. “You…” he nibbled on her bottom lip, and then gave her tiny kisses from her jaw to her neck. “Me… we… can do this…”
“Oh…” Her legs began shivering behind his back. Kanielle gripped the blanket in her fist. She squinted, “ Yes… yes… yes… don’t stop!” She placed her feet on the mattress opening her legs wider.
Brandon thrust deep inside of her. His jaw clenched, his toes curled up, and he lost it. He held onto her hips, fucking her uncontrollably. Kanielle dug her nails into his shoulder.
“Oh shit…” She said over and over. Kanielle’s muscles gripped his rod, pulsating around him.
“Mine…” Brandon growled into the air as he came with so much force that he banged the headboard against the wall. He continued beating her pussy, making sure every spurt was released. He made sure not to crush her, rolling over to the side. His breathing was short, as he watched Kanielle. Her chest heaved up and down, and she sported a smile on her face. “You’re sexy.”
She chuckled, covering her face. “Whatever.”
“What?” He turned on his stomach inspecting her. She was thick in all of the places that mattered. The stretch marks running from her navel to her pelvis, were marks of beauty in his eyes.
“Really, Brandon,” Kanielle rolled her eyes at him. She pulled her hair, “You think this looks sexy?” She giggled.
Her laugher did something to him. Brandon wanted to be the one making her smile when her day was stressful. He wanted Kanielle. “Yes, I think you look sexy.”
They gazed at each other for a few seconds, and then Kanielle sat up, looking at the wet, messy bed. “I’ll change the sheets.”
Brandon touched her leg, and kissed it. “Let’s take a shower first, and then I’ll change the sheets.”
Kanielle smiled, slipping off the bed. “I’ll take a shower first. You almost knocked my coochie out of socket.”
Brandon laughed. “Fine.”
“I’m not complaining,” she winked, shaking her ass. Instantly he got aroused. “No.” her eyes widened when she saw his cock’s reaction. “I’m sore… and to think I thought you were small.”
“I thought I was small too,” he said sarcastically. “Stereotypes.”
“I wouldn’t have cared,” she watched him.
“Yeah right,” He’d heard what women said about black men and dicks.
“I was married for three years,” Kanielle laughed, “Size doesn’t matter.” She closed the bathroom door.
Brandon smirked, and lay back down. He didn’t know why, but that last statement made his ego bigger. Kanielle was a keeper. He started getting cold lying over a wet blanket. He slipped off the mattress, dragging the blankets and sheets with him.

He changed the sheets. He didn’t want Kanielle lifting a finger; she needed a break. The woman was always doing something, taking care of Coral, cooking, or cleaning. While she was in the shower, he snuck in behind her and made love to her again against the wall.
Kanielle chuckled, as soon as she felt Brandon behind her, rubbing his dick on her ass cheeks. She pushed back her firm, round butt, making him even harder.
“You promised,” she arched her back. “You were going to behave.”
Brandon leaned in, sucking on her collarbone. He bent his knees and Kanielle got on her tiptoes. “I never promised.” he gasped as he slipped his cock into her tight pussy, holding on to her hip.
“Yes…” Kanielle banged on the glass door with her fist, making it shake. “Oh… Fuck!”
Brandon started moving vigorously as he slammed into her pussy from behind, while her ass jiggled with each thrust. She placed one of her feet on the corner of the wall, giving him deeper access. Kanielle was matching his every move, keeping up with his rhythm. She lowered her body, and he followed as she pushed her ass back against his pounding cock. Brandon’s legs were getting weak, and he was feeling his balls tighten. He had to make her cum before he did.
Brandon wrapped his hand around her waist, and gently flicked her clit several times. Her pussy walls began pulsating around his cock, and her juices began to flow. He was losing it, she started to shiver and her feet dropped to the floor.
“Oh…” She slapped the wall. Kanielle’s body responded to each plunge he gave her. “Don’t stop…” She moaned loudly.
He continued his assault on her pussy, the pulsations slowed down, and in one last thrust, Brandon came deep inside of her. He continued stroking her, kissing her back up to her neck. “You’re amazing.” He whispered in her ear, pulling out of her warm cavern.
Kanielle slowly turned around exhausted and kissed his lips, “You’re a beast.” She went under the cool spray of water, and he joined her.
Brandon grabbed the bottle of shampoo, tipped some into his hand. He gently washed and conditioned her hair, noticing the texture of her hair was different than his own.
She smiled. “My hair is going be a mess, but thank you.”
“Why didn’t you stop me?” he began washing her shoulders, down to her back.
She turned, placing her arms around his neck. “No one has ever washed my hair before, and it felt so good.”
“There’s a first time for everything,” he said as they washed each other, then rinsed off, and stepped out of the bathroom. He dried her body and her hair, he handed her the white robe.
“Do you have lotion?”
He opened his cabinet, and handed her a bottle of VS coconut passion. Kanielle raised her eyebrows looking at the small bottle.
“It’s my grandmother’s, she stayed in my room when she was here,” he gave her a peek. “Need help?” he tapped the side of her thigh.
“No more.” she giggled. “Get out of the bathroom.”
“I promise, no more tonight,” he laughed, strolling out, as she applied lotion to her legs. He picked up his clothes and hers, and placed them on the bench.
Kanielle’s phone kept ringing. Who could be calling her so early in the morning? What if it’s an emergency?
He grabbed her clutch, and went back into the bathroom. “Kanielle, your phone keeps ringing.”
“Can you check to see who it is?” She replied, rubbing the cream on her arms.
Brandon opened her purse, and pulled out her cell. He looked at the screen, and clenched his jaw. It was her ex.
“Who is it?” She stared at him.
“Robert.”
Kanielle paused. “Robert, are you sure?”
Brandon showed her the screen. “He’s been calling you.”
“I have nothing to say to him, especially at three in the morning,” she said and wrapped the robe around her radiant body. “That’s my past, you’re my future. Do as you please,” she smacked his ass, walked over to the bed, and climbed up while shaking her butt. His heart swelled when she said he was her future. She wanted the same thing he wanted, happiness.
Brandon laughed as the phone rang again. He gazed at Kanielle, and answered the phone.
“About time you answered the damn phone!” Robert roared.
Brandon’s nostrils flared. She was his now, and the hell with whoever got in their way. “Kanielle is busy at the moment,” he calmly stated.
“Who the fuck is this?”
“Brandon Stokes,” the veins in his neck throbbed. “Memorize the name, asshole. Erase Kanielle’s number from your phone,” his voice was vicious. “I have a problem with a low life calling my woman at three in the morning.”
“Your woman?” Robert huffed.
Kanielle couldn’t hear what was being said, and patted the mattress. “Let’s get some sleep.”
Robert must have heard her voice. “Was that Kanielle?”
“Don’t call her again.” Brandon smirked as he strolled over, and dropped the phone on the nightstand. “Yes, ma’am.” He joined her in the bed under the sheets, and started messing with her, sucking on her bottom lip. Kanielle's lips parted for him, and he began exploring every crevice of her mouth. Brandon gently nibbled up and down her neck, sucking on the sensitive area under her ear.
“Oh God Brandon…” She moaned loudly.
Brandon eyed the phone; he hadn’t hung up yet. Robert heard Kanielle moan Brandon’s name, and that was enough for him. He leaned up on his elbow, and powered off the device. Payback, motherfucker, for what you did to her, Brandon thought.
“You want me to stop?” he whispered in her ear.
“No…” she gasped. Brandon made sweet love to Kanielle again.

The dim light from the lamp on the nightstand illuminated the bedroom. Brandon was supposed to be doing work, but instead he was watching her sleep. They could make this work. He understood they had a lot of baggage, but they could get through it together. He could barely hear her soft snores. She was even beautiful when she slept. Kanielle shifted between the sheets, her eyes slowly fluttered opened.
“Brandon.” She covered her mouth.
“Yes, sweets,” he gently touched her nose.
“You don’t sleep much, do you?” Kanielle looked at him.
“I get a couple of hours of sleep,” he turned, moving his feet to the floor.
“Bran…” Kanielle caressed her fingers on his bare back. “You need to sleep.”
He twisted around, taking her fingers in his hand, kissing each finger. “I’m okay.” Brandon tried to get her to let it go. “I’ve been like this for years.”
“Why?” Kanielle asked concerned. “If this,” she pointed at him, “Is going to work, we have to be able to talk about anything. Even the most difficult memories.”
Brandon placed her hand down, and got up off the bed. “I’ll be back.”
“Where are you going at five thirty in the morning?” Kanielle raised her eyebrows.
“Trust me,” Brandon strolled over to his dresser, took out a pair of underwear, and walked over to the closet. He began getting dressed, and could feel Kanielle eyeing him. After what she went through, she might question everything he did. He went over to her, and gave her a peck on the lips.
Kanielle cupped his face in her soft hands. “I’ll be here when you get back,” she kissed him back. “I’m not a runner.”
“Neither am I,” he said before walking out of the bedroom. He shook his head, realizing that all of their years of marriage, Maggie had never noticed his sleeping habits.
Chapter Twenty-Five
Brandon waited after knocking on Irene’s front door. He couldn’t stop smiling; he finally had his own family. His smile turned upside down when an older man in boxers with smiley faces and a wife beater opened the door. He had to step back down the stairs, and look at the house making sure he wasn’t at the wrong one. No it was Irene’s house.
The man glared at him with a bat in his hand. “What do you want?” The man’s lips thinned.
Brandon scrunched his face, “Umm…”
“It’s after four in the morning,” he raised his voice. “State your business.”
“I came to get my daughter,” he watched the man place the bat down, and chuckle.
“Why didn’t you say that at first? Irene is putting little Cece back to sleep,” He opened the door wide. “Come in.”
Brandon was still confused, who the hell was he?
He closed the door when Brandon stepped over the threshold. “Hi,” he extended his hand. “I’m Andy Stuart,” Brandon shook his hand. “And you must be Brandon. Irene has mentioned you.”
She’s never mentioned you, he thought. “Nice to meet you,” Brandon lied.
“Andy,” Irene yelled. “Who-” her words were cut off when she saw Brandon. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she swallowed, staring at him. Coral wiggled in her arms.
“Good morning, Mrs. Jackson,” Brandon smirked.
Andy walked up to Irene, and kissed her temple. “Baby, I’m going back to sleep.”
“Okay.” She continued, watching Brandon like a child that was caught with her hand in a cookie jar.
“Well, well,” Brandon chuckled. “Do Kanielle and Chris know you have a boyfriend?” He continued laughing.
“Boy, stop,” she passed by him. “I’m a grown woman, son.”
“If you say so, ma’am,” he snorted.
“What are you doing here anyways?” She eyed him, trying to rock Coral to sleep.
“I came to get Cece,” he strolled forward, and gently took Cece out of her grandma’s arms.
“Kanielle didn’t tell me you would be picking her up,” Irene started getting the baby bag together.
Brandon didn’t know if Kanielle wanted people to know about them. “It’s my weekend with her.”
“She mentioned something like that, but I didn’t know you guys agreed on it,” Irene opened the refrigerator, taking out a few bottles. “You two have her spoiled, she won’t go to sleep if she’s not held.”
Brandon kissed his little girl’s head. Irene contributed to Cece being spoiled, but he knew when to keep his mouth shut. “Thank you for keeping her.”
“You don’t have to thank me.” She placed the bag on the sofa, and took Cece’s hands in hers. “I love this little girl. The love for a grandchild is so different,” she kissed her hands. “I love you, Cece.”
Cece was falling asleep in his arms. Brandon’s heart swelled every time he held his daughter. God, thank you! He remembered as a kid, when he was about eight years old, he used to get down on his knees begging God to bring his family back. It took twenty-seven years, but he answered his prayers.
“You see what I mean,” Irene laughed. “She has you wrapped around her little finger.”
“Yes, she does.” He kissed her rosy cheeks.
“Here,” she handed him a blanket, and he wrapped her securely in it. “Make sure you cover her head. The midnight dew is not good for babies, makes them sick.”
“Yes, ma’am,” he made sure Cece’s head was covered.
“When are you guys taking my grandchild to church?” She placed her hand on her hips.
“Whenever you invite me?” He smiled.
“Smart ass, you’re invited.” She picked up the bag, walked over to the door, pulled it open, and handed it to him.
“Throwing us out,” he sang out.
“It’s too early in the morning. I’m sleepy.” She gave him a dirty look. “Your child kept me up.”
Brandon passed Irene, and kissed her cheek. “Tell Andy I said goodbye.”
“Bye, Brandon,” she slowly closed the door, and then opened it as he walked down the pathway. “If you love my daughter tell her before you regret it. It took me years to realize that it wasn’t too soon. Like I told Kanielle, God makes miracles from mistakes,” she closed the door.
Did he love Kanielle? He continued to his truck. God did answer his prayers, just not the way he thought, but he surely did. Brandon buckled Coral into her seat, and then jumped in the passenger seat. “Let’s go see Mommy…”
***
Kanielle tossed and turned in bed, wondering where Brandon went. She tried to sleep, but couldn’t. Her mind was playin
g tricks on her. He wouldn’t just finish having sex with her, and go see another woman would he? She sat up in the bed with the sheets around her. She shook her head. Robert played her, now she was seeing things that weren’t there. Don’t punish Brandon for Robert’s sins, that’s no way to start a relationship.
She looked over at her phone. Why did Robert call her? Kanielle crawled over to Brandon’s side of the bed and picked it up off the nightstand. She powered it on, waited for it to light up, and swiped it with her fingers. The text icon blinked, she had five messages. Kanielle touched the icon, seeing that all of the messages were from Robert. She raised her eyebrows, and twisted her mouth in disgust.
‘Kanielle what the fuck were you doing out with that man tonight? You have no respect for yourself; it hasn’t even been that long since our divorce. Call me!’
‘How could you hurt me like this?’
‘You’re fucking another man in my house?’
‘Open the door.’
Kanielle didn’t notice when Brandon walked into the room. “Whatever is on that phone must be important.”
She raised her head and smiled. Brandon was holding Cece, that’s where he went. Kanielle jumped out of the bed. “Hey, sweetheart,” she gently took her from his arms. “Mommy missed you,” she kissed her cheeks.
Brandon didn’t say anything he just looked at her phone.
She touched his jaw. “Nothing is more important than Cece, and you.”
“Is he calling you again?” He kissed her palm.
“No,” Kanielle moved back to the bed. Cece stared at her and smiled. Her heart melted, knowing that her life wouldn’t be complete without her little girl. “If she wasn’t yours, would we be here?” She continued looking at the baby.
He didn’t answer her. Was he there? She glanced up. Brandon just stood there watching her.
Why did she ask him that? Kanielle lovingly rocked her baby, and grinned. It didn’t matter either way.
“Baby…” Brandon took several steps, landing in front of her. “If Coral wasn’t mine I would’ve loved her just the same,” he sat next to her. “I loved our daughter from the moment I felt her move in your stomach.” Brandon swallowed, “You had just been hurt, and what I was feeling confused me. Kanielle, we’ve had this connection from the first time I saw you.”
