I moved down the end of the hall. I put my phone away and used the moonlight shining in through the window.

  Strange…

The door on the last abandoned apartment was closed.

“The only closed door in the entire fucking building…”

Unless the motherfucker was hiding inside of the walls, I knew he was behind the door. There was a faint noise like a radio or TV coming from inside.

I clenched my jaw and hesitated for a moment. I noticed the door was slightly ajar and pushed it forward. My hand was on the back of my waistband, ready to grab my piece in case some shit went down.

I immediately noticed the place wasn’t like the other apartments. There was a small radio on the side of the room playing some talk show. The coffee table had a bunch of newspapers scattered on top of it. The place was dusty and dirty but it was clear there was someone inside.

I looked around the apartment, swiveling my head back and forth to see if there were anybody there. I turned toward the hallway and saw a light coming from underneath one of the doors. There wasn’t any running water or electricity in this place, so I knew somebody was there.

As I moved toward it slowly, I could hear the sound of someone inside.

That shit didn’t matter. I had an opportunity to find out what this motherfucker was doing in an abandoned apartment.

I moved past the closed bathroom door and headed into the next bedroom.

It looked just as unkempt as the previous room. The bed was unmade. There were bags of fast food scattered all over the floor. But none of those things caught my eye.

  “What is that?”

I whispered to myself as I slowly moved toward the desk at the side of the room. I looked down and saw all the papers scattered on them.

  “What are these… Maps? No…”

I squinted as I tried to figure out what was on the paper. I read all of the details and finally realized what I was looking at.

  “Ivory…”

It was a map. A map of Ivory. And on it, different locations were circled. I quickly glanced at all of them.

  “The Grindhouse… The Bone Pit… Amy’s Bakery… Storage facilities…”

I whispered to myself in confusion at all of the circled locations.

A large box at the side of the room caught my eye. I moved toward it and opened it up. I peered down into it and couldn’t figure out what I was looking at.

  There were small packages.

  Drugs?

I’d never seen a brick of cocaine before. The Black Reapers stopped moving product right after I got patched in. But I imagined it looked something like this.

  No, that’s not right…

I moved my head closer to it. Then I noticed that it wasn’t drugs. In big, bold letters, it stuck out clear for me to read.

CAUTION: DETONATION BLOCK. HIGH-EXPLOSIVE. COMPOSITION C4.

  “Shit,” I muttered to myself.

“You find what you were looking for?”

A sudden voice behind me made me straighten up. I spun around and pulled my piece out as quickly as I could. I pointed it straight at the stranger I saw at the bar.

He stared at me with a straight face. His face was dirty and fatigued. He was old, there was no question about that. But the look in his eyes told me that I had to be worried about him.

“What is this?” I said. “Why the fuck do you have all these explosives?”

“Do you really think I’m going to tell you?”

“It doesn’t matter what you fucking tell me,” I said. “You’ve got enough C4 in here to level a building. And you’ve got a map with different locations.”

  “You’re a regular detective, aren’t you, boy?”

  “Amy’s Bakery… I was right… You’re responsible for what happened.”

“And what if I was? What are you gonna do about it? You’re gonna shoot me in cold blood?”

  I shook my head.

“Why?” I said. “Why would you pull some shit like this?”

“I don’t owe any explanation to you. All you punks in motorcycle clubs think you’re better than everybody else.”

“Why would you target a bakery? Unless…”

I looked away for a second and put all of the pieces together. All of the places on the map had some association to a club.

The man took a step toward me and I raised my gun up.

“What are you gonna do?” he said. “You gonna shoot a defenseless old man like me?”

“You… You’re the one responsible for all of this. And you’re not done.”

“I can’t let you stop me from doing what needs to be done. Ivory needs to be purged.”

“Don’t make this harder on yourself,” I said, my barrel pointed right at the center of his chest.

He stared at me. A smirk formed on his lips as he shook his head.

“Nah,” he said. “You don’t have the balls to shoot a defenseless old man.”

  “Don’t make me—”

A moment of hesitation was all he needed.

He rushed toward me and knocked my arm. The gun went off and a bullet hit the wall. He wrapped his arms around me and tackled me down to the floor. He immediately started trying to wrestle the gun out of my hand.

  Fuck.

I used all of my strength to heave my gun to the other side of the room. It was only way I could get it away from him.

  “Reaper scum…”

Anything he said at this point was futile. There was nothing stopping me from giving this motherfucker the justice he deserved.

He was too old and not strong enough. I rolled over on top of him and held him down.

  “Stop struggling…”

He wasn’t in the mood to listen to me. I managed to posture up just enough to level him with a right hand across the face. His body immediately went limp, blood trickling from the side of his mouth.

  “Shit…”

I muttered to myself as I got back up to my feet. I grabbed my piece and put it back in my waistband. Then I pulled my phone and called Gina.

“Dorian! Shit, Dorian, what the fuck is going on? Are you all right?”

“I’m fine,” I sighed. “Everything is okay.”

“Did you find the guy? It was nothing, right?”

I didn’t want to worry her but I knew I had to tell her the truth.

“It was something,” I said. “It’s definitely something.”

  “Dorian—”

“I’ll explain everything as soon as I get back to you. But first…”

  “What is it?”

Garnet told me about dealing with the pigs. But this was bigger than any club beef. This couldn’t be settled by us.

“Call the cops. There’s something they need to see.”

  Chapter 14

  GINA

They took Dorian in for questioning. How could they not? He found a stranger with enough explosives to blow up half of Ivory.

The police interrogated him as best as they could but there was no evidence that he was connected to any of it. The stranger they found was arrested. The building was taped off and turned into a crime scene.

I’d never felt the kind of relief I did when Dorian came back to me and explained what he found.

It was a long night but it was finally over. Dorian gave me a ride back to my apartment, away from the wild scene at The Grindhouse.

I collapsed on my couch and sat in the darkness of my living room, my eyes closed as I tried to find some semblance of comfort.

“I’m sorry,” Dorian said as he took a seat next to me.

  “You’re sorry?”

“For worrying you. It was stupid of me to do what I did. It was dangerous.”

“It was. But… You did the right thing. There’s no telling what he was up to.”

I leaned in close to Dorian and rested my head against his muscled chest. Despite everything that happened, I felt completely safe with one of his strong arms wrapped around me.

  “Who was t
hat guy?” I asked.

“The police told me his name was Tommy Graham. His prints were on file, so they had a bunch of information on him already.”

“What was he doing with all of those explosives? Why would he blow up Amy’s Bakery of all places?”

“I don’t know,” he sighed. “But it’s clear the guy has an issue with the clubs in this town. He has an issue with all of the places even associated with clubs.”

“Sean. That was almost a year ago when he got all of his tattoos covered and turned his patch in. I can’t even remember the last time Brash even talked to one of the Reapers. Why would he want to—”

“I don’t know,” Dorian said. “You can’t look into guys like this too much. Graham had a problem. There’s nothing you need to worry about now because he’s locked up. He’s going away for a long time.”

  “Yeah…”

I sighed another deep breath in relief. The way Dorian talked to me was so comforting. I leaned in closer to him, enjoying the feeling of his hard body.

As I sat next to him with my eyes closed, I couldn’t help but think of how I felt.

  “I was afraid,” I said.

  “What?”

“When you left. Needle kept teasing me about you being gone but I wasn’t laughing. He tried to comfort me but all I could do was worry about you. I know you had to do what you had to do but I was worried.”

  “Gina, I’m sorry…”

I sat up straight and looked at him. I stared into his eyes and saw something I’d never seen before. I’d been with more club members than I could count but none of them looked at me with the same kind of sincerity that Dorian had for me now.

Those gray eyes of his were so hypnotizing. They were already so familiar. It felt like I could tell him anything.

  “I…”

I looked away from him as I suddenly struggled to start talking.

“…I got into some trouble before,” I said.

  “What kind of trouble?”

“When Lydia came to town, we started going out together. We partied and drank. She ended up hooking up with one of the Reapers. That was before you got patched in. Brash…”

“Brash… I’ve seen him before. There are some pictures of him on the walls at the clubhouse.”

“…I… I got involved in some shit. Some motherfucker who had a vendetta against him used me to try and get back at him.”

I swallowed as the memories of it slowly came back to me.

“I remember just trying to party and have a good time,” I said. “The next thing I know, I’m in a hospital bed and the doctor is explaining to me what happened.”

Dorian was quiet, staring at me and listening intently. I smiled at the way he looked at me.

“I didn’t think I would ever go out like that again,” I said. “I tried to drink and party like I used to but it didn’t feel the same, knowing that there was some asshole who would take advantage of me like that.”

  “Gina, I would never—”

  “I know.”

I cut him off as I put a hand up to his cheek.

“The night I first ran into you again, I didn’t know what to think of you.”

I chuckled as I remembered a few nights ago.

“You were Dorian Sullivan,” I said. “The hottest guy in high school. I wanted to believe you were just as amazing as everybody thought you were.”

  “And?”

“And… You’re hot. You are amazing. But not because you’re the captain of the football team or because you’re a firefighter or because of the patch you wear. I know that you’re different from all of the other guys. I… I feel safe when I’m around you.”

“I’m glad you feel that way.”

  “That’s the problem.”

  “The problem?”

“…Tonight, when I saw that guy. I couldn’t shake the feeling I had when he looked at me.”

“You were right to think that he was up to something.”

“I know. But I’m… I’m just sick of all the drama. I’m sick of being involved with something. I just… I just wanna meet a guy and have fun with him. I don’t need a knight in shining armor. I don’t need a guy to go out looking for bad guys. I don’t need someone to carry me over a puddle when it’s raining.”

I smiled at Dorian as he chuckled.

“I just… I just want a man without all of the bullshit. And it seems like club members are always involved with something. Even when we’re just out trying to have a drink, there’s always something to mess things up.”

  “I understand.”

Dorian sat up straight and put his hands on my shoulders.

“You do?” I said, slightly confused as I stared back at him.

“Garnet’s old lady, Michelle… She once told me that it was never easy being an old lady. I couldn’t argue with her. Relationships are already hard enough. But all of the shit you have to deal with being an old lady…”

  Dorian shook his head.

“…I get it,” Dorian continued. “But I’m not asking you to be an old lady. I’m not asking you for anything more. We… We only just met. And I’m enjoying my time with you.”

“I enjoy my time with you, too.”

“Let’s not think about all of that other shit. Let’s not think about settling down and having kids. Shit, let’s not even think about tomorrow. Let’s just enjoy ourselves… us… tonight…”

Dorian had a way with words. His voice was so smooth and charming. The amount of confidence he exuded was more than distracting. It didn’t help me with how disgustingly hot he was. He could have said anything to get my mind off things but he didn’t. He told me what I didn’t realize I wanted to hear.

  “I’m here for you, Gina. And tonight, it’s just us… just… us…”

He slowly leaned in closer to me. My eyes closed as I felt his breath on my lips. I opened my mouth and let his tongue lick mine. A deep kiss sent a shudder through my spine. All of the doubts and concerns I had just a few seconds ago were gone completely, evaporated into a memory I didn’t care about any longer. Now all I could think about was how good it felt to be with him, now, in this moment.

He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer. Feeling his hard body against mine made me gasp into his mouth.

Dorian worked his mouth along my cheek and down my neck. A sudden lust took over his body. He moved his lips over my skin in a furious frenzy of desire.

  “Fuck…”

I gasped uncontrollably as we started to move faster.

I pulled my shirt up over my head. He tore away his vest and did the same with his shirt. I unhooked my bra and dropped my arms to let him pull it off of me. My breasts couldn’t be free fast enough.

Dorian took them into his mouth as soon as I was exposed. I gasped when he ran his tongue over my nipple. He squeezed his lips gently around them, sucking on them as he teased them with his tongue. He took turns between each of my breasts. He cupped them in his hands and ravaged me.

I ran my hands through his dark hair. My head rocked back to let him get even better access. This would have been enough for me. I would have been fine just letting him suck on the tender flesh of my nipples for hours.

  But Dorian had other plans.

He shoved me back on the couch. I gasped in surprise and giggled as he tugged my jeans off of me. In nothing but a small thong, I was at his mercy.

  “You want a taste?”

I peeled my panties to the side to reveal my dripping folds before him. He licked his lips and eyeballed me before taking a knee down in front of me.

“I don’t want a taste,” he whispered. “I want it all.”

His tongue pushed into my pussy. A violent shudder shot through my spine from how good it felt. I writhed on the couch as he proceeded to work his tongue over my lips.

  “Dorian…”

He worked me over with a precision that made it clear he’d done this before. He glided his tongue up my folds toward my clit and made it swell. He
sucked on the nub for a few seconds, sending tiny little jolts of electricity through my body. Then he moved his tongue back down and pushed it inside of me.

I wiggled on the couch, my legs resting on his broad shoulders. I ran my fingers through his hair to guide him over every little sweet spot that made me tingle.

Dorian gripped my ass and made me arch my back. He hungrily devoured my pussy. I was leaking into his mouth and he was licking up every drop. I pushed myself closer to him, trying to let him have as much of me as he could.

  “Dorian… Fuck…”

All of the thoughts I had about him were gone. The teenage fantasies of fucking the star quarterback were gone. All the times I rubbed myself thinking about him were gone.

The only thing in my head now was reality. The reality that Dorian Sullivan was going down on me. And I was on the verge of coming.

  “Dorian…”

I grinded my hips up into his face. He took the hint and lapped me up with his tongue. All of the licks. All of the sucks. He ate me out and pushed me to the point of no return.

I held my breath and tightened all of my muscles before falling over.

  “Fuck!”

I gripped his hair in my hands as I cried out.

  God damn.

It felt so fucking good I couldn’t even say it.

My orgasm slammed into me like crashing into a brick wall. I wrapped my legs around his head and kept myself planted against his face. He teased me with his tongue as I came. The waves of pleasure pulsing through my body made me feel like I was floating toward the ceiling.

My climax ended but the feeling barely subsided. I laid helpless on the couch and tried desperately to catch my breath.

I looked up through blurry vision and saw Dorian standing right there. He lowered his jeans down and revealed his swollen cock before me.

Dorian’s physique was nothing short of marvelous. He looked like he had been carved out of solid steel. From his broad shoulders to the abs on his slim waist, a body that had been pushed to its physical limits ever since he was a child was on display. Tan skin and ink all over his arms and body certainly helped to paint a gorgeous picture.

He stared at me with those gray eyes of his as he stroked himself. The focused intensity was enough to hypnotize me. I was his. I was all his. He could do whatever he wanted to me and I would enjoy every second of it.
