Jesus, no one has ever loved me this way. No mouth—or pussy—has ever felt this good. It feels like I was born to be here in this moment with her, and she must feel the same way. She groans deep in her throat, and the vibration sends me to another level of arousal.
My eyes threaten to drift closed, but I’m driven to watch, to touch her, to be present in every fucking second. I palm her breasts, tightening my fingers around her tits to hold their fullness. Her nipples stiffen, demand more, and I pluck at them eagerly. I close my thumb and forefinger around each one, pulling and pinching. I roll them, palm them, and then do it all again.
I learned early on that Bree’s nipples are sensitive, and tonight is no exception. She moans around my cock again, thrusts her tits hard against my hands, and moves her head quicker, harder.
“Oh, baby, yeah. Just like that.” My hands are suddenly in her hair, and she groans. “You want me to fuck your mouth, sweetheart?”
She doesn’t stop, doesn’t pull back, just nods and keeps sucking me with that wonderful, amazing mouth.
I tug on her hair, pull her head back far enough that I can kiss her, and whisper against her mouth. “Hold still, baby, and wrap your hands around my wrists.”
She does as I ask, and I kiss her again. “Yes. Just like that. Squeeze my wrists if it’s too much, yeah?”
She runs her tongue over her lips and nods again. “Okay.”
“The words, baby. I need to hear them, know you understand.”
She tightens her grip around my wrists. “I squeeze if it’s too much.”
“Good girl.”
Another kiss, and I stand. She opens her mouth before I can push forward, and I take slow, shallow thrusts. The sensitive front ridge of my cock drags over her tongue, and she groans deep in her throat. Breathing through her nose, I can feel her jaw relax. Her throat follows, and her head moves against my grip as though encouraging me to go deeper.
I do. I can’t help it, and I move faster. My breath comes in heavy pants. Jesus, it feels so fucking good, her moist heat around me and a twisting, changing desire that softens, then sharpens her expression.
One hand clutches my wrist like I told her, but she drops the other to my balls. She caresses me there, tightens her fingers just enough to urge me closer to coming, and then she releases me with a soft, soothing caress. She does it again and again, and all the while I fuck her mouth with control that’s almost gone.
“Baby.” I groan, and her answering moan, deep in her chest, spurs me farther. Faster.
I can’t hold off much longer. The tingling at the base of my spine and the way my balls tighten warn me I’m about to go off like a rocket.
“You sure you want me to come in your mouth, baby?” I gasp.
She tightens her fingers around my balls, and moves her head in rhythm with my thrusts. Holy fucking Christ! Does she really want my cum in her mouth, down her throat?
A sharp thrust, this one hard and deep enough to make her gag, and I’m done. My orgasm takes over, and my cum shoots over her tongue and to the back of her throat. She slows her pace, but licks and sucks and carries me through the orgasm like the perfect woman she is.
Gradually, my cock begins to soften, but still she keeps her mouth around me. She suckles easier, lighter, and I know she must have swallowed everything I gave her.
I let her have her way until finally she releases me. She places a soft open-mouthed kiss just above my hipbone and then rests her cheek against my pelvis. She peeks up at me through a veil of lashes and offers a soft smile.
“I love the way you fucking taste,” she says with enough satisfaction that I’d have thought she was the one who just came.
I laugh. She hasn’t come—yet—but she will. For the rest of the goddamn night.
CHAPTER 21
BREE
Ajia’s chest makes a nice pillow. A little hard and muscular, but maybe that’s why I love it so much. I never thought I’d get the chance to actually be with him like this.
He kisses the top of my head and pulls me closer to his side. “You okay, baby?” he whispers against my hair.
I tilt my head back to look up at him. A floor lamp in the far corner is the only light in the room, but I can see a softness in his gaze that’s new. The warmth in his eyes goes clear through me.
“Pretty sure I’ve never been better.” I offer my mouth for his kiss.
He doesn’t hesitate, takes my lips with his and sweeps his tongue through my mouth. Again and again. Sending arousal and awareness shooting through me to my very core. I’m so—
“Goddammit, Ajia! Open this fucking door! Right this fucking minute!” It’s Knox, and he’s pounding on the door like an enraged madman from a straight-to-video movie. My breathing stumbles, and my heart begins to pound.
Ajia’s look pierces me until he closes his eyes for a long, slow moment. He lets out a slow, deep breath. “Looks like we waited too long, baby.”
“I…you think he knows?”
Gently, he disentangles himself from me and climbs from the bed. “What do you think?” he asks as he pulls on a pair of jeans. Commando. Zipped, maybe, but unbuttoned. He had been getting hard again.
I push myself up as he tosses me one of his T-shirts. A Led Zeppelin classic—one of his favorites. It’s a couple of sizes too big for me, but it doesn’t matter. I pull it over my head, clueless right now where my dress or underwear might be.
Ajia nods toward the bed. “I don’t care if you stay there, but be prepared for it to rile him up.”
I look from side to side and then nod and stand. “Right.”
The pounding comes again. “Ajia, you fucker! Open the goddamn door!”
“Stay back.” It’s a command, pure and simple, and I listen—for now.
He walks over to the door, unlocks, and opens it. I can see enough to tell my brother fills the doorway like some avenging angel. It hits me then, in an entirely new way, how equally matched Ajia and Knox are physically. They’re virtually the same height and the same build. But Knox is one pissed-off motherfucker, while Ajia is…stoic. Resigned.
What the hell does that reaction mean?
“Where is she?” my brother demands. Ajia’s broad, muscular back prevents me from seeing much, but the tension radiating between the men is palpable. I hate it, but I understand it. I’ve never seen Knox so aggressive!
Nobody moves, and then Ajia slowly steps back. He spreads one arm wide, indicating me, or maybe the room. It doesn’t matter, because Knox shoves his way inside. He’s still dressed in the gray suit, his hair randomly pulled out of the proper, more formal-looking ponytail all the guys wore tonight. His eyes look bright and wild, darting over me in Ajia’s T-shirt, the rumpled bed, and then back to Ajia in his unfastened jeans. I don’t have to wonder as recognition settles over him. We all know what it looks like—what Knox expected it to be…what it is—and in that second, I curse myself for asking Ajia to keep us a secret. Even for a day.
“You motherfucker!”
Before I see him even move, Knox’s fist connects with Ajia’s jaw, and Ajia stumbles back against the wall.
“Knox!” I shout my brother’s name as I race across the room. “Stop it, right now! Goddammit!”
I shove myself between Ajia and him as Knox pulls back his arm again. His eyes flicker over me, enraged, but I don’t think he’ll try anything more with me in the middle. And, in some ways, he’s almost more controlled than I would have expected. He always punches first and asks questions later—which, I guess, he did.
When—and how—did he figure things out? It could be worse, I remind myself. He must have had a little time to start coming to terms with what’s happening.
I don’t really trust my brother right now, but from where I’m standing, I know I’m safe to turn my back on him. For a minute.
“Ajia, baby.” I reach for his face. “Are you okay?”
He intercepts my hand and lowers it to my side. I s
wallow back a momentary rejection, but it disappears when he links our fingers together. “That’s your free one, bro. Maybe I even deserved it. But any more and I fight back.”
“Get the fuck away from him, Bree.”
I look at my brother, aiming for a composed expression I don’t really feel. “How did you find out?”
“That’s your question? You got nothing else to say?”
“Knox—”
“No, A.” I cut him off and squeeze my fingers around his. “This is between my brother and me.”
“Fuck if it is,” snaps Knox. “He’s the one—”
“Forget it.” I take a step closer to Ajia, not because I need his warmth or his strength—although I’ll admit it feels damn good—but I want to make a point. I’m taking a stand, and I want Knox to get it. No mistake. “You have no say in this.”
He moves closer and his lips curl into a sneer. “Oh, baby girl, I have a lot to fucking say about this. And you’re going to listen to every fucking word.”
Ajia slips his arms around my waist. “Cool the fuck off, man.”
“Cool off?” Knox shakes his head, and his laugh is ugly. “Cool off? You have no fucking clue what’s going on inside of me right now.”
“Got a pretty good idea. I get it, man. Let’s talk.” Ajia lifts a hand to smooth it over my hair. He tilts my head back to look at him. “You okay, baby? Why don’t you go on back to your room, and—”
“Good idea,” puts in Knox. “You don’t need—”
I step away from them both. “Don’t fucking tell me what I need to do! Either of you,” I snap. “I’m a big girl now. I get to decide what I do—and that’s not leaving the two of you alone to do whatever stupid shit you’d end up doing.”
“Bree…c’mon. You—this fucker—”
“What, Knox? What is it you think you have to say? Because I thought I put you on notice in Phoenix. Weren’t you listening? My life, my body—my decision! You don’t get to say one goddamn word about anything.”
“You weren’t talking that way when you wanted help to get away from Gabe.”
“Son of a—”
“Knox, you goddamn asshole!” I cut off Ajia’s curse. “That’s not the fucking same thing, and you know it.”
I hear the fury vibrating in my voice, but it’s suddenly too much to tolerate. All of it. The shit with Gabe. The groupies and the tour. The parties, the rumors, and those bitchy women today. My time with Ajia is private, special…a dream come true. And my brother wants to spoil it?
For once I’m too mad to cry.
I stalk up to Knox until I can’t take another step. I stare so furiously, he has no choice but to look at me. I poke his chest with one very stiff finger. “Listen to me, Knox, because this is the last time I’m talking to you about any of it.
“That shit with Gabe wasn’t about my choices, my life, and you damn well know it. It was about our mother’s husband trying to force me into something sexual! Something I didn’t—and don’t—want. My relationship with Ajia is completely different.”
Knox opens his mouth, seems to hesitate, but then it’s like the words force themselves from him. “He’s like your fucking brother!”
I can’t help it; I laugh. It’s a rude, ugly sound and suits me perfectly. “Do you hear yourself? I have never seen Ajia as my brother, and you damn well know it. Everybody in the fucking band knows it. Hell, probably half of Austin knows it!”
I give my head a sharp shake and force myself to continue. “I thought I was so clever, keeping my little a secret, but y’all knew. Y’all must have thought it was so cute. Silly little Bree with her big crush on a man like Ajia Stone.
“Well, the truth is, I’ve been in love with him since the first day we met. Love, Knox, not some stupid teenage crush. It’s been five years—five years—and my feelings have only gotten stronger.”
He doesn’t like what I said—I can see it in the way his eyes have gone dark—and that, apparently, puts him on the offensive. “So all that shit you said in Phoenix?” he demands. “It was all fucking lies?”
“No.” It’s Ajia who answers, and he steps up close behind me again. “It was all true. Every fucking word.”
“So you didn’t start fucking her until—”
“Knox, I swear to God I’m going to pound the fucking shit out of you!” Ajia’s fury burns at my back.
“Get over there, Knox!” I jab my finger toward the table and chairs across the room.
“Fuck you! I’m—”
“Get your ass over there!” I go up on my tiptoes. This is all getting on my last fricking nerve, and though there hasn’t been bloodshed yet, there will be if my brother doesn’t start cooperating. It’ll be me who pounds the shit out of him. “You two are not fighting over me!”
I glare at my brother until he finally cooperates. Ajia understands me a little differently—as a lover, not a brother—but does he have to stroll over to the bed and just sort of sprawl against the headboard? He knows that’s going to torque Knox off even more.
I take up a spot perched against the low dresser on the opposite wall. “Okay,” I start. “It’s time for an actual discussion. An adult discussion. You’re going to talk—and listen.”
His glare is my brother’s only response.
“You never answered me. How did you find out?”
Knox opens his mouth like he’s going to snap off something nasty, but I’m through with this bullshit. “Answers, Knox. Adult conversation,” I remind him.
He shakes his head. “How do you think? The fucking internet.”
“Again?” snaps Ajia.
Knox glares at us both. “What the fuck did you expect? You tell some chicks at the party that you’re keeping Bree all to yourself, and you think that isn’t going to run the room in, like, five seconds? Then the photographer—the legit one—got all kinds of shots of the two of you together.”
“It’s what Marty wanted,” says Ajia stiffly.
“Yeah? Including one of you kissing when you got on the elevator together?”
“That doesn’t sound so bad,” I say carefully, even as I wonder exactly what Ajia said about us and what chicks did he say it to? It couldn’t have been the ones from the restroom—could it?
“Then maybe it was the video of the two of you making out in the fucking elevator.”
“What the fuck?” Ajia straightens on the bed.
I look between the men. “What video?”
“Security footage.”
I blink and stare at Ajia. He shrugs, but there’s disappointment in his eyes. “Never thought about security cameras in the elevator.”
He feels bad. That we made out in public, or that we got caught? I shouldn’t be questioning that kind of thing now, but this is all too new to me. We’re too new. Shit’s all over the place, and—
“How’d anybody get that?” I’m as frustrated as I am curious. God, I’m going to have to learn about this stuff if it’s going to be part of my life—our lives—now.
Knox shrugs. “How do the tabloids get any of that shit? Somebody knows somebody who…fill in the blank. I guess somebody had an in with security at the hotel.”
Okay. I nod for myself. Lesson learned, not that it helps right now.
“So. You gonna answer my questions now?”
“As long as they’re reasonable.” I swallow. “What do you want to know?”
Knox shoots Ajia a murderous look. “How long?”
“Recently.” I don’t want to say any more than I have to. Not because I’m hiding it—I’m not! It’s just none of Knox’s business. “A couple of days, actually.”
“C’mon, baby.” Ajia leans forward and gives me a soft smile. “You know things have been different since we left Austin.”
“Austin! Jesus, Bree! You saw some chick sucking him off there! He’s a goddamn manwhore and you—”
“Who was there to comfort me when I had that nightmare, Knox?
It was Ajia, because you were too busy fucking your one-and-done for the night. And last night? Last night I came to Ajia’s room, because I was sick of listening to you and your fuck of the night. ‘Spank my ass, Knox, and make me come on your cock!’ Or maybe it was when you said, ‘Take my cock down your throat!’”
His eyes get big and even darker, but I don’t wait for him to speak. “You’re such a goddamn hypocrite, Knox. You’re fucking anything with two legs and a pussy. No different from what you say Ajia was doing. Yeah, I get it. But if he and I want to see what we’ve got between us—you don’t get a say!”
“See what you’ve got?”
I nod. Emphatically. “There are no guarantees, bro. I know that. But we’ll never know unless we give it a shot. And we’re only a couple of days into that.”
“Bree…” He says my name softly, slowly. “You’re different from most girls. Different from most chicks we see on tours. You—” He shakes his head. “He’s no good for you, baby girl.”
Ajia speaks before I can. “He’s right about that, kitten. We all know damn well that you’re too fucking good for me.”
“That is such bullshit, and you both know it!” I narrow my eyes to match my expression with my tone. “You two—” I point between them “—wouldn’t be such good friends, and Ajia and I wouldn’t have this connection, if it were. So don’t try to pull any of that crap on me.”
I’m so out of patience for all this. As much as I know this is none of my brother’s business, I want it over. Now. Whatever that means.
Maybe a little explanation will end it for good.
“Knox, sweetie…” I give him all my attention. “Here’s the deal. I’m twenty in a couple of weeks. Not a teenager any longer! Most girls lose their virginity in high school, the back seat of a car or some party or—who the hell knows? They’re with a boy who hasn’t a clue what he’s doing, they’re lucky if he has a condom, and the only thing a girl gets out of it is the fact that she isn’t a virgin anymore. I—”
“Uh…Bree. Kitten?”
I ignore Aja and keep my eyes on Knox. “I was actually lucky. That wasn’t the case for me. I—”
