“Why didn't you just ask me?”

“Ummm, you still won't even marry me,” he pointed out. “But you will be moving in with me,” he said firmly.

Sage shook her head. “I don't want to move in with you Jordan. I have my own place.”

Jordan stiffened. “Sage, there is no way we're going to be living apart and you're carrying my child,” he informed her. “Now, I won't push on getting married since you feel so strongly about it, but on this I will not budge.”

“Jordan...” Sage began but didn't get to finish because Ray had driven up to the house and was getting out of the car walking towards the porch.

“Sun God? What are you doing here?” Sage asked.

“I'm here for you Baby Goddess. I would have gotten here soon, but I don't have a private jet,” he said tossing a look at Jordan.

  “What's up Ray?” Jordan greeted.

“You tell me Jay,” he said looking between the two of them with Sage still sitting on Jordan's lap. “What's going on?”

Jordan stood easing Sage from his lap. “Let's take a walk Ray,” he said walking down the steps. Ray looked from Sage to Jordan's retreating back. Sage gave him no indications so he followed Jordan. Once they were a few hundred feet from the house, Ray turned to him.

“Okay Jay, I'm not liking this. Not at all,” he said looking Jordan in the eye.

Jordan put his hands in his pockets and looked back at Ray.

“Sage is pregnant,” he stated clearly.

Ray looked at him incredulously. “All hell nah!!!!!” he shouted at the top of his lungs. “You got my sister pregnant? How in the hell?”

Jordan rolled his eyes. “Yes Ray. You're sister and I are having a baby and it happened the natural way.”

Ray's eyes narrowed. “Damn Jordan. You're a damn billionaire. You couldn't protect her?”

“I'm not going to discuss that with you Ray.” Jordan turned to walk away. Ray snapped and quickly turned him back grabbing his shirt.

“Jay, your ass better be in this for the long haul,” he threatened.

Jordan brought his arms up breaking Ray's hold on him and gave him a shove. “Don't ever put your hands on me again,” Jordan said in a low voice.

“This has been building for a while. It’s time Jay!” Ray gritted out.

“Let's do it,” Jordan said lifting a brow. “This is what you've wanted from the start.”

Sage came running up to the two men. She'd heard Ray's yelling and knew it was going to be a problem. She stepped in front of Jordan.

“Move Sage!” Jordan ordered placing her to the side.

“No! I'm not going to let you two do this!” she screamed.

“Move Sage!” Ray repeated. “Jordan knows he has an ass whipping coming.”

“Not from you I don't,” Jordan responded. “And not today. I guarantee it.”

Sage looked between the two men that she loved. “I thought you two were okay now?” she asked pleadingly.

“Okay? How in the hell am I going to be okay about somebody knocking up my damn sister?” Ray shouted.

“Go back to the house Sage,” Jordan directed narrowing his eyes at Ray.

Sage threw her hands in the air. “Stop it! Stop it!” she cried. “If you two are going to act like this, I don't want to be around either of you!” she screamed before tears began streaming down her face.

“I love you both but I can't do this anymore,” she sobbed and ran back towards the house leaving both men frozen watching her.

Ray looked to Jordan astonished. “She was crying,” he said quietly.

  “I know. I don't like it.”

Ray shook his head. “I haven't seen her cry since they told us our parents had died.” Ray looked off into the distance. “She never cried after that. Not at the memorial; not after. Not once have I seen her cry in all these years.”

Jordan watched Ray as he continued. “I always felt it was my duty to my parents to make sure that she was safe and happy; taken care of.

Jordan listened. “I took that serious. Extremely serious.” He looked back at Jordan. “Maybe too serious at times.”

Ray glanced back into the distance. “She's hurting because of us. I never wanted that.”

It was Jordan's turn to glance into the distance. “Ray, you know that I'm going to take care of her and our child. You have my word on that. Our child will have everything he needs including two full time parents.”

“With all we've been through together haven't I proven myself as a man worthy of her? What do I have to do to show you that she is everything to me?” Jordan asked.

Ray shrugged and looked at Jordan. “She's all I have Jay,” Ray admitted.

“She's all I have too Ray,” Jordan admitted too.

The two men faced each other. “You're my brother and I've got nothing but love for you, Ray. I just happened to fall completely in love with your sister. I'm not trying to take her away from you. I know how important the two of you are to each other. I'm just asking you to share her,” Jordan said watching him.

Ray stood in shock. These were not words from the Jordan he'd known for years. The Jordan he knew came in, took over and took control in any situation. It was normally his way or get the hell on. Sharing was not in his vocabulary. His sister was changing the brother...for the better it seemed.

Ray nodded. “I've got love for you too bruh,” he said extending his hand. Jordan took it and they gave each other a brief hug before stepping back.

“Sage is making you soft,” Ray pointed out smiling as they started walking back to the house.

“Yeah,” Jordan responded looking over at him. “But I still would have beat your ass today.” Both men smiled walking in the sun.

When they entered the house Sage was locked in her room. They knocked on the door.

  “Sage?” Jordan called.

“I don't have anything to say to either of you!” she sniffed.

“Baby Goddess, its okay,” Ray added.

“It not okay!” she yelled through the door.

Jordan looked at Ray. “We've straightened it out,” he said to the door.

“You did that before!” she pointed out. “Go. Away. Both of you!”

Ray spoke to her in Wolof, the native tongue of Senegal and Jordan looked confused.

A few minutes later she came to the door and cracked it looking at her brother.

  “Really?” she asked skeptically.

  “Ma'at,” he replied. Truth.

She ran out of the room and wrapped her arms around her brother. “Thank you Sun God!”

He hugged her back tightly while looking at Jordan. He nodded and Jordan was even more confused now.

Sage pulled back and kissed her brother on his cheek, before rushing over to Jordan throwing her arms around his waist and lying her head on his chest. He looked in question at Ray who just smiled and walked out the door.

Jordan looked down at her. “Okay. What the hell was that?” he asked smiling.

She looked back at him beaming. “The Sun God said that the Universe has confirmed that you are my kindred energy.”

  What the hell, Jordan thought.

“What does that mean baby?” he asked still confused.

She grabbed his tie and pulled his head down to hers. “It means that I am yours eternally,” she whispered touching her lips to his.

“Can you handle that?” she asked.

“Eternally?” He stared into those beautiful brown eyes. “Hell yeah.”

  Chapter 23

Jordan and Sage ended up staying a full week in Senegal with her Aunt and Uncle. They’d wanted to get to know Jordan better and were completely charmed by him. When they returned to the States they told Sean and Lily their good news and were greeted with well wishes and congratulations.

Sage had made the move to live with Jordan and Lily had rented out her place since Sage's place was bigger than hers. Plus, according to Lily, Sean had been able to work a great deal for her. Sage knew
that Sean and Jordan were still up to their tricks.

While Lily loved her new apartment, Sage was having difficulty adjusting to living with Jordan. As he was preparing for a short business trip, she was sitting on the bed while he was packing.

“I'm going to stay at Lily's while you're gone,” she informed him.

He paused looking at her. “Why?”

Sage shrugged. “I just like it over there,” she answered.

He studied her. “You don't like it here?” he asked.

Sage just shrugged and got down off the bed headed towards the hall.

“This is your home Sage,” he said to her back.

She shook her head. “No Jordan. This is your home.” She continued walking.

“What does that mean, Sage?” he demanded following her.

She stopped and turned back to him. “It means that everything here is yours Jordan!” she snapped. “We sleep in your bed. We eat at your table. We sit on your sofa. You have every damn closet filled with clothing. Plus I don't know how many women you've had in this house!” she finished.

Jordan was taken aback. Gently he said, “Sage you can change anything you want.”

“What is there to change Jordan? It's a professionally decorated home! The art on the walls cost a fortune. The paint is a custom color. The floors are imported How can I improve on that?”

Jordan shrugged. “Do you want another house?” he offered.

Sage sighed. “Jordan this is the most beautiful house I've ever been in.” She turned and started walking again. “It's just not my house.” She left Jordan standing at the stairs.

Jordan finished packing and Sage accompanied him out to the car. She was riding with him to the gallery, where he would pick up Sean, and then the car would take them to the airport. This was another new change for Sage. Jordan insisted that since she was pregnant she got chauffeured everywhere. She sat across the seat from him looking out the window.

“Sage, I want you to be happy baby,” he said watching her.

She continued to watch the passing scenery. “I'll be fine Jordan. I'll deal with it.”

He reached out and took her hand. “I don't want you to have to deal with it. Tell me what I need to do.”

She looked down at her hand in his. “I don't know,” she said honestly.

Soon they pulled up in front of the Black Diamond building but before they got out of the car, Jordan took her hand again.

  “Are we good?” he asked.

Sage didn't look at him. “We're okay.”

Jordan tilted his head. “Just okay?” he asked.

“Yeah, okay,” she said exiting the car.

Jordan followed her out and walked her into the gallery where she turned to him.

“Have a good trip,” she reached up and kissed him softly on the lips.

He stared down at her. “I'll see you in a few days,” he confirmed.

  She nodded.

“I love you Sage,” he told her.

“I love you too Jordan,” she returned. He kissed her once again and then was out the door.

When he got back in the car, Sean was already inside.

  “Hey Jordan,” he greeted.

“What's up Sean?” Jordan said distracted.

  “You okay?” Sean asked.

Jordan glanced out of the window as the car took off and rubbed his chin.

“Sage says that my house is not her home,” he commented.

  Sean nodded.

“She's not happy and I can't have that.”

“Does she want you two to buy another house? I can get some listings or contact a builder.”

Jordan shook his head. “I asked her that. That's not it.” He continued to stare out of the window. “She said I've had other women there.”

  Sean scrunched his face. “Ouch.”

“I know. How in the hell do I change that?”

Sean looked at his friend with sympathy.

“I'll think of something,” Jordan said determined.

Jordan was boarding his plane when his phone buzzed. He pulled it out and read the message: We're perfect. I love you Jordan. Jordan smiled as he took his seat.

  “Good news?” Sean inquired.

  “Yeah.”

Sean smiled. “So how does it feel being an expectant father?

Jordan leaned back in his seat. “It's unreal,” he commented. “When I think about a life that we created growing inside of Sage? It's beyond imagination.”

“How is Sage doing with the pregnancy?”

Jordan shook his head. “Her hormones are off the charts. I'm scared to death she might kill my ass so I'm on my best behavior.” Jordan had not told Sean about Sage's past. He figured if she wanted him to know, she'd tell him.

Sean laughed. “Yeah, Sage is a pistol on a regular day. I can image she's an assault rifle right now.”

Jordan laughed too then he sobered, “It's worth it though, to be able to one day see my son.”

“Wow. That's crazy,” Sean commented. “I wonder what little Jordan will be like. Will he wear shirts and ties every day?” he teased.

Jordan shook his head. “Nah, I want my son to be his own man from the beginning. With Sage as his mother, he won't be screwed up like me,” he said turning back to the window.

Sean sobered. “You're not screwed up Jordan. You're a good, decent dude who's just carried around a lot of pain,” he told him. “But it's clear to see that Sage is healing a lot of that.”

  “Yeah, she is.” Jordan agreed.

“You and Sage are going to be great parents. Crazy as hell, but great nonetheless.” Sean joked and then froze. “Aw man! I just realized that Ray is going to be your son's uncle!”

  “Damn, poor kid.”

Jordan returned home a few days later. His purchase of Harrison Industries was still not completed. Harrison was a wily old bastard. Each time Jordan thought he had him on the ropes ready to sell, he managed to come up with more capital. Jordan was relentless though. No one could keep acquiring capital forever. When his plane landed there were two cars waiting. One for him and one for Sean. The car that was waiting for him contained Sage. While away Jordan had come up with a plan to make his woman happy. He had discussed the specifics with Sean on the flight back and now he was ready to put it into action. He entered the car and Sage had her arms open to him. He happily fell into them.

“Hey baby,” he said kissing her.

“Hi Jordan,” she breathed as he began kissing her neck.

Jordan pulled back and placed a hand on her growing tummy. She was just now beginning to show.

“How are you?” he asked gently massaging her stomach.

Sage touched his face. “We're good. We missed you.”

He placed her on his lap rubbing her hip.

“You look beautiful pretty girl,” he said. And it was true. Sage's naturally golden skin glowed with vigor. Her brown eyes were big and bright and those lips...Jordan had to taste them again. He slowly licked and suckled them.

“I missed you. A lot,” Jordan said moving his hand to her blossoming breast. “I want to take you away baby,” he told her.

“Right now in the car?” she asked in a surprised sexy voice.

Jordan shook her head. “No baby. I want to take you on a vacation,” he explained.

She looked up at him. “Where?”

He shrugged. “We have our own plane. We can go anywhere you want.”

  “St. Kitts?” she asked excitedly.

“Sure, if that's where you want to go, that's where we'll go.”

“When?” she asked wiggling on his lap.

He stilled her wiggling. “Next week?” he asked.

She looped her arms around his neck. “Yes! Thank you Jordan.”

“It's all part of the plan to make you happy baby,” he said and went back to kissing her.

Sage was anxious the entire week before leaving on vacation. She and Jordan had never been away together before on a vacation. She thoug
ht it was really sweet that Jordan wanted to take her away and she was looking forward to spending uninterrupted time with him. Jordan worked really hard and Sage was grateful that he was making the time to be with her alone.

The villa on St. Kitts that Jordan had reserved for them was right on the water with a private beach. The inside furnishings were impressive and the view was amazing. After they'd toured the villa they decided to sit out on the beach and relax.

Sage and Jordan sat on matching loungers listening to the ocean.

“This is amazing Jordan,” she said turning to him.

“As long as you like it, baby.”

She looked him up and down in his khaki shorts and white Jordan t-shirt stretched across his muscled chest.

“I like it. I like it a lot,” she purred.

He gave her a look. “Then you should come and get it,” he said smiling at her.

  “You think I won't?”

Jordan stretched out on the lounger. “All I hear is talking.”

Sage stepped over to his lounger and stretched out on top of him with her little bump in between their bodies. She lowered her mouth to his and he willingly participated until his phone buzzed. He held her while reaching into his pocket to retrieve his phone. Glancing at the screen he looked back at her.

“Uh...I need take this pretty girl,” he said gently laying her to the side and getting off the lounger.

She pouted. “Jordan. You said no work,” she reminded.

“I know baby. Two minutes. I promise,” he said rushing inside.

Sage turned on her back and looked up at the sky. When Jordan returned five minutes later Sage was still in that position.

“Okay baby. Where were we?” he said coming to sit on the side of her lounger.

She smiled at him. “We were about to kick your ass if you take another call!” she snapped.

Jordan put his hands in the air smiling. “I'm sorry,” he smiled broader as he scanned her body in a wrap skirt and halter top that showed her little belly. “I'll take my punishment like a man,” he said licking his lips.

“You've been a bad boy,” she said running her hand up his leg.

“So bad,” he groaned as her hand traveled further. “What is my punishment my Khemetic Goddess?”

She looped her arms around his neck. “You are sentenced to give me endless pleasure,” she commanded.
