They had given the two of them a plot of land on the mountainside, and they had started construction on a cabin as a wedding present. They wouldn’t move in until Walter’s eighteenth birthday, in three months, and it didn’t look like things would be ready then anyway. Katie’s mom kept calling the contractor with additions and changes, and Katie kept calling the contractor to tell them to keep it simple and not listen to her mother. It was amusing to Logan, watching his fiery kitten as she fought with the contractor.
Meanwhile, Hella Kitty was staying with Lettie and Zane while Logan was with Katie. He missed the asshole but couldn’t have him in Katie’s house, since he hated it worse than the pound, although Katie had told him it would serve her parents right having their fancy shit shredded.
The rest of his stuff was in storage, and they were having fun coming up with names for this extra room they needed in their new house.
“Okay, losers, let’s eat!” Zane called from the kitchen, where almost everyone was standing around anyway. He wasn’t allowing anyone to help him except Lettie, who seemed fairly useless yet eager.
A cheer went through the room at the announcement, and everyone fought for places to sit. They’d pulled out all the folding chairs and crammed them around the table, so Logan was thigh-to-thigh with Katie on one side and thigh-to-thigh with Walter on the other.
He didn’t mind it.
Once everyone was seated, Logan took a moment to look around. Annette sat at the end with Jude, who had finally accepted the chief position after Logan had bowed out of the running. Annette looked like she was about to bust open and spill forth a baby, and Jude was making sure she didn’t lift a fucking finger. Zane and Lettie looked like they were as happy as two clams, her sporting a giant rock and a band on her finger. Their wedded bliss was enough to make a lesser man gag, but the newly wedded and committed Logan was happy for them. Vivian, Carly, and Joey sat at the end opposite Jude and Annette, Joey making faces at Carly and Vivian rolling her eyes at both of them. His guys had everything he wanted, and for once, he was making strides to get there.
It was amazing.
He looked over at Katie, who wore her choker with pride, as well as a more low-necked top than Logan was really comfortable with. But she wore it to show her commitment to him, and he took it because he trusted her. He knew she wasn’t flashing her magnificent tits at random strangers, and the thin, platinum band around her neck with the lock on it that looked like a charm filled him with a blinding pride that couldn’t be dimmed.
They had all started eating when a commotion at the door halted everyone’s progress.
“Don’t mind me. I was just bringing by some presents.” A cheer rose around the table and more seat clattering happened as Chavez ambled in on a cane, his wife toting a ton of boxes and bags behind him. Logan got up to help, along with Walter.
Chavez was getting better, but his left side was still incredibly weak, forcing his retirement. Marquez had been officially promoted to Captain.
“Captain, you didn’t have to get presents,” Logan grumbled, unable to easily give up the moniker. It took him forever to call him Chief when he’d gotten that promotion, and even longer to start calling him Captain when he’d moved up the career ladder. He didn’t know if he’d ever be able to stop at this point.
“It’s just Joe now, Logan. Just Joe.” Chavez smiled at him warmly before whispering, “You have a new fishing pole in there. Care for some fishing soon? The season’s over next week, and they’re starting to get soft.”
“Absolutely, sir. Thank you.”
Katie had never imagined Logan could be so damn happy. If she hadn’t been with him the past couple of months, she would have thought he’d been invaded by body snatchers or something. But his smiles during the day and his loving at night told her she was a major reason for his happiness.
And she loved that.
She loved Logan, and she loved the life they were starting. Walter had been accepted into the fire academy after graduation, and her parents were having a conniption fit about it, but whatever. It made Walter happy, so it made her happy. That’s all that mattered.
Everyone was so fucking happy, she was waiting for the other shoe to drop, but she chose to focus on the happiness.
Until she was focused on Logan’s hot breath in her ear.
“You are so fucking hot right now. I want to be inside you so badly.”
Ah … Jesus.
“Take off your panties.”
Her gaze darted around the table. Everyone was deep in conversation, not paying her any attention. The slim choker suddenly warmed her neck with its presence, and her hands and hips moved in tandem to obey.
Today was a lavender G-string, lacy and barely there anyway. As she slipped her panties off, she handed them to Logan who deftly slipped them into his pocket. He’d proudly shown her his collection of her panties when he’d moved his things to her rooms, telling her about each and every encounter they’d had together.
She’d taken to buying two of every pair so she didn’t lose her favorites every time she wore them.
Katie’s nipples puckered at the idea she was now sitting at a table with everyone and no panties. Her breasts felt heavy as Logan’s hand fell on her thigh, tugging it open to expose her to the air.
She scanned the table again and saw nobody watched her as Logan’s nimble fingers started drawing circles on her thigh where he’d tugged up her skirt. She glanced over at Walter, who was eating with gusto. Bless his heart, she never cooked like this for him. He was going to love working here someday.
“Focus, Katherine.” Logan’s whispered voice in her ear made a shudder ripple through her. Through lowered lids, she looked over to her other side and saw Mrs. Marquez gripping Hollywood’s bicep tightly on her other side as she flirted shamelessly with the boy.
Meanwhile, Logan’s hand was cupping her sex, bared to anyone with their head under the table.
He ate with his right hand, his left on her pussy, as if he did this every day.
And she was going crazy. She wanted to rub her breasts all over his arm and managed to subtly squirm so one of them was pressing against his bicep. A whimper escaped her at the taboo aspect of all this, and Logan pinched her clit.
A spasm wracked her body, and Logan’s lips twisted into a vague smile. He looked like the cat who ate the canary, and Katie was coming apart at the seams.
His fingers were now plunging in and out of her wetness, surely leaving a puddle on the chair. But he was moving slowly so he wouldn’t look like he was getting her off.
But she was climbing higher and higher. Surely, it was obvious. Katie could feel the heat on her cheeks, her chest, her blood, everywhere. She was on fire. Her entire body burned.
And then Logan’s hand was gone. He squeezed her thigh reassuringly before removing it altogether.
“Excuse me,” he said to the room before grabbing her hand. “I think I need help with something.” Tugging her up, Katie followed helplessly.
Even if he wasn’t in control right now, she would follow him anywhere. But he was in control. That Dom voice was sounding in her ears, and her limbs were complying.
He tugged her into the garage before slamming her against a wall.
“God, you have no idea how badly I need you right now.” His hands were at his zipper, and before she realized it, he had wrapped his hands around her ass and lifted her, spreading her wide before spearing her with his dick with a groan he wasn’t even trying to suppress.
She answered with a resounding “Ohmygod.”
Logan started pumping, slamming her against the door with each thrust, and Katie held on for dear life. He lifted her, sucking a nipple into his mouth and biting down, speaking around his mouthful.
“Come for me, Katherine. I can’t last. Come hard.”
It di
dn’t take much as turned on as he’d gotten her in the kitchen. She groaned and sighed and whimpered her release as he thrust into her with so much power she didn’t see how she wasn’t choking on his dick right now.
It didn’t take long. That was a quickie for the books. And now she had to go face his co-workers, her friends, and her little brother, with the haze of sex with Logan written all over her.
And she didn’t care.
Not even a little bit.

The Four Winds Series
The Four Winds series are Paranormal Romances dealing with the Archangels. They are the biblical archangels, so there are aspects of Christianity in them. But the conflict in the stories are about the archangels falling in love and turning human, so they are dealing with human emotions and feelings. Due to various reactions of shock and outrage, I feel the need to put the spoiler out there: These books have sex in them, but also Christianity. So if either of those bother you, please don’t buy these books. First book in the series, Falling for Heaven, is free!
