Nairobi began bawling, so he continued, “Let it out. Let out all the pain and sorrow, allow it to all flow out unless it will consume you. This is not your fault, you lacked proper guidance. Hatim was too hard on you, he is to blame. Not you.”
Rashid walked over and chimed in as he sheathed his sword, “This monster killed my son and brother and you dare console him!? I am disgusted.”
Wasim turned towards Rashid, “He is a victim here as are we! Assani toyed with him, he filled the void Nairobi longed to be filled.”
Rashid kissed his teeth so Wasim looked around and saw Lali. He saw the gruesome injury to her face and spoke under his breath, “Lali? She did not make it either.”
Rashid added, “ She is not so pretty anymore-”
Wasim punched Rashid in his right shoulder and responded, “Nairobi sits right there. Can you try and be a little civilized?”
Rashid scoffed “My apologies.”
Nairobi stayed quiet so he continued, “Nairobi, come back to Alharamu with us. It is time we have a talk about your father, your real father.”
Rashid nearly choked on his saliva when he heard what Wasim uttered. Nairobi quickly ceased his sniveling and looked up towards Wasim. His eyes quivered as he stared into Wasim’s eyes. He gently placed Nairomi down and rose to his feet. What has been done cannot be undone, for all he could do now is move forward. For you see, Heru and his brothers have begun their move on the South and intend on restoring their empire, the Adaru Empire. Nairobi would have to become stronger, for this was only the first battle, the true war has yet to come.
