Rickie grabbed him in a tight embrace and they shared their first kiss as a married couple. The guests below cheered and applauded as Rickie led them to the edge of the platform. They waved to the people below and then descended the steps to more haunting Celtic music. It was over. Targ was relieved and walking through a fog as Rickie led him into the crowd of happy friends and relatives.

A buffet was spread on tables arranged around the edges of a pool that bordered the rooftop. It looked as though the water flowed over the edge of the building but in reality landed in a narrow trough that recycled it back into the pool. The water glowed with colored lights as the sun set over the city. The view from the roof of the city skyline was incredible. Targ held Rickie’s hand tightly as they received toasts. He couldn’t eat. His stomach was tied in knots.

  “Hey, big brother,” Pia said.

When he turned to answer her, she was standing close to Martha. He didn’t know what to say. She hugged him and whispered in his ear. “I’m proud of you.”

All he could do was nod and gulp. He’d rushed into this. What was his life going to be like when they went home together? Maybe he’s made a mistake.

The reception passed too quickly. Targ drank a lot of champagne and collected hugs from Martha, Jax and Shelly. His sister stayed close to Martha, holding baby William much of the time. Lorelai, in her foamy green gown, glued herself to Tuco. All these people made Targ’s heart swell with pride. He’d only had Pia when all this began. Now he had family and friends; friends who cared enough about him to fly to New York to watch him get married.

Al floated across the roof in his robe arriving in front of Rickie and Targ. He took their hands in his. “Time for the bedding.”

  “You’re joking,” Targ said.

“Nope. This is a traditional Celtic wedding and we are going to put you to bed.”

He cleared a path before him. Targ and Rickie, grinning foolishly, followed him into the penthouse. Jax pounded him on the back as the group followed them to a room Al had prepared for them. The huge four-poster bed was covered with flower petals. Plants and ribbons were wound around the posts. It was a scene out of a dream.

Al shoved them into the room. Targ’s hand shook as he took Rickie’s. “This is your first night as a married couple,” Al said. “Make it special.”

The elf shooed the guests away from the door and shut it behind them. Targ and Rickie were alone.

“Think they’re listening outside the door?” Rickie said as he took Targ into his arms.

Targ’s tongue was glued to the roof of his mouth. He’d had sex with this man only once before. In fact, he’d only slept with a man twice in his life. He was shaking like a leaf with fear and anticipation.

Rickie seemed to understand. He lifted Targ’s chin. They stared into each other’s eyes and then both burst out laughing. “I feel like a teenaged virgin,” Targ whispered.

“I can tell.” Rickie drew him toward the flower-strewn bed. “But I know you. You went through the fire and made the tough choices…for me. And I love you for it. I’ve loved you since I first laid eyes on you.”

Rickie opened Targ’s shirt and slid it off his shoulders. As he caressed Targ’s smooth chest, a tide of emotion and desire rushed through him. Rickie opened his fly and pushed his slacks down, followed rapidly by his shorts. Then he pushed Targ onto the bed, yanked off his shoes and finished pulling off his pants. Naked except for his new wedding ring, Targ lay back and watched Rickie slowly undress in front of him.

His husband’s body was tan, his stomach flat and muscled. Targ’s cock throbbed against his belly as Rickie hovered over him, taking the initiative and bringing it to him. Grinning, Rickie bent low over Targ’s body and licked his thighs. His tongue was rough like a cat’s. He lifted Targ’s balls and kissed under them while he rolled the testicles softly in his hand. The expert way Rickie handled his body had Targ buzzing with excitement. He closed his eyes in an attempt to control himself. When Rickie smothered his cock in kisses, he groaned and arched his back. “Stop or I’ll explode,” he gasped.

Rickie’s laugh came from deep inside his chest like a low growl. It reminded Targ that his husband was a giant, black cat. “You’re an animal,” Targ said.

  Rickie growled again. “I know.”

He crawled up Targ’s body wrapping him in a tight embrace. Their deep kiss was an aggressive tongue war. Targ was suddenly overcome with the need to touch Rickie. He ran his hands over his lover’s back and down to his butt. Rickie had an awesome rear. He stroked the full cheeks with one hand while he searched for his lover’s cock with the other. They kissed deeply again and Targ pushed Rickie under him.

He hovered over Rickie for a moment while he absorbed his lover’s beauty, then he took Rickie’s huge organ in his mouth and sucked. He’d never done this before but he knew what it should feel like. He held the shaft tightly while he sucked the swollen head. Rickie groaned and his body rippled. Targ stared as he sucked, watching Rickie fight the shift, his body rigid with excitement, his cock throbbing in Targ’s mouth.

Rickie grabbed his head and pressed it hard against his groin. “Suck harder,” he commanded.

Targ obeyed, finding he liked the silky feel of Rickie’s dick in his mouth. Rickie’s passion fueled his own. He was close to spewing without anything touching his cock at all. Rickie rolled onto his face, snatching his cock out of Targ’s mouth. He raised his rear into the air. “Fuck me,” he growled. “Do it.”

For a moment, Targ was at a loss. Rickie felt around on the nightstand and handed Targ a condom. “Do it.”

Targ obeyed, sliding the condom over his aching cock. He positioned himself behind Rickie, held his lover’s butt in his hands squeezing the round globes hard. Rickie glanced over his shoulder and grinned. “What are you waiting for?”

“I don’t want to hurt you.”

“I’m ready for you. Take me.”

Targ spread some lubricant over the head of his cock and pressed it against Rickie’s tight opening. His cock forced the lips of Rickie’s anus open. He squeezed the globes in his hand as the pleasure threatened to overcome him.

“Fill me, lover,” Rickie demanded. “Fuck me.”

Targ pushed harder. When his cock was halfway in, he stopped to take some deep breaths. Rickie’s passage was rough, hot and tight. Rickie rose up beneath him and forced Targ’s cock deep inside. He felt their balls touch. The excitement took over and Targ began pounding in and out of Rickie’s tight ass. Grunting and breathing hard, he fucked Rickie while his lover gasped, groaned and writhed under him.

With his face so close to Rickie’s neck; Targ suddenly felt the overwhelming urge to bite him. Rickie’s blood pounded just under the skin and Targ could feel it with some inner sense. He ran his tongue over his canines and for a minute, imagined they had elongated. Shaking the disturbing emotions off, he kissed his husband’s neck and concentrated on the sucking vacuum created by the tight muscles of Rickie’s passage. The sensations had his senses swimming.

When he felt his climax coming on like a freight train, he reached around and grabbed Rickie’s pulsing organ. He shoved himself in hard one last time, arched his back and cried out, barely remembering to jerk Rickie off. But he stroked his lover to completion before collapsing on top of him. They lay there panting, their bodies pressed tightly together.

When he could speak, Targ whispered in Rickie’s ear. “We’re married.”

Rickie rolled onto his back still holding onto Targ. “I know.”

They kissed tenderly. “I thought you were going to shift for a minute,” Targ said.

“And I was waiting for you to bite me.”

“I’m not a vampire anymore,” Targ said with more conviction than he felt. “I’m just a man…your man.”
