February Burning: A Firefighter Secret Baby Romance Page 52

by Chase Jackson

“Baby! I can’t believe this! I can’t fucking believe this! We’re going to be daddies!”

He grabbed my head and covered my face with small kisses. I laughed, filled with joy, and then squealed when Trent joined us and picked me up.

  “Trent!”

He rotated me around, making me slightly dizzy, but I didn’t care. I was so happy.

“Bree! I’m so happy! That’s wonderful! I can’t believe it!”

“Yeah. We’re so happy to know our baby is inside you. I love you.”

He hugged me as soon as Trent let me go and buried his head into my shoulder.

“We’re going to take care of you and our baby, Bree. We’re going to give you so much love... We’re so happy, Bree. I love you so much.”

He hugged me from behind, and I felt so safe and loved like this—in between their warm bodies.

“We’ll make sure you get lots of rest,” Trent told me.

“Yeah. Only the best for you and our child.”

“Thank you, guys, but I want you to know that I’m going to keep going to school. I don’t intend to stop—especially not now when my studies are going so well. I want our baby to know their parents can do anything, so I’ll work even harder now to make my dream come true.

“And this is one of the reasons why I love you so much,” Caleb said with pride in his eyes. “You’re so strong and determinate and you never give up.”

“Just like you, guys. You’re brave, strong, and kind. You’re the best.”

Trent kissed me, his tongue giving me a slow burn, and I realized that our dinner would grow cold if we kept doing this.

“Come on.” I separated myself from them unwillingly and pulled them with me out of the room. “There is a delicious dinner waiting for you, and I won’t be satisfied until you eat it all.” I winked at them and swayed my hips while I walked, wanting to seduce them.

Their groans followed me, and I chuckled. They were so cute.

“So what do you think? Is it a boy or girl?” Caleb asked me.

“If it’s a girl she’ll definitely be like Bree.”

“And if it’s a boy? Then what?”

I looked between them, amused with how serious they were about this.

“Does it matter?” I asked them.

“Of course it does! I’m prettier than him!” Caleb exclaimed, pointing his thumb at Trent.

I shook my head, shaking with laughter.

“You wish! I’m the hottest one here,” Trent threw back at him.

I approached them and put my hands on their cheeks. “Guys. I’m starving. How about we leave this ‘discussion’ for another day?”

“Yeah, fine. But if it’s a boy, he’ll probably look like me,” Caleb continued and sat down at the table.

I smiled, feeling my heart swell with love. They were something else indeed.
