“Just ignore it.” He kisses me but the banging starts again. “I’m going to fucking kill whoever is on the other side of that door.”
I grab for his shirt and pull it back on. He looks back at me, I guess to make sure I’m dressed, and then shakes his head. “This better be fucking good.” He opens the door and my mouth drops open.
What the hell is Carter doing here? He storms into the room, pushing past Drew, and heading straight for me. “Let’s go.”
Is he serious? “Carter, I’m not going anywhere. You’re not my father.” I look around him and see Jason and Shawn standing by the doorway. Just great, he brought the damn cavalry. What are they gonna do? Carry me out of the hotel kicking and screaming?
Drew walks up next to Carter. “You need to leave.”
“No, you need to get the hell away from me. She’s my sister and I’m not going to let you use her and then throw her away.”
“Carter!” I can’t believe he’s standing here doing this. He’s taking the overprotective brother role way too seriously. “How the hell did you find me, anyway?”
“I tracked your phone using that Find My iPhone app.” He says it with no shame, like he isn’t absolutely out of his damn mind.
Drew walks over to the side of the bed where I am. “She asked you to leave, so get out. In case you haven’t noticed, she isn’t being held here against her will.”
Carter’s face is so red I think he might explode. He moves to grab my hand, I’m guessing to make me leave, but Drew pushes him away. Shit, this is not going to end well.
“Don’t you fucking touch me, asshole.” Carter pushes Drew and he stumbles back into the wall.
Drew charges him, and within a minute, they are both rolling around on the floor. Jason and Shawn come running in, pulling the two of them apart. When they separate, I see that they both got a couple of good hits in. Shawn manages to pull Carter out of the room and Jason lets Drew go.
He turns to me, looking disappointed. “Just so you know, Holls, when he realized you never came home he was scared shitless.”
I shake my head in frustration. “I appreciate that he cares, J, but it doesn’t mean he gets to run my life.”
He comes over and gives me a hug. “I know, he thinks you’re going to get hurt, though. I think he wants to be able to save you too, um…” He glances over at Drew then leans in close to me and lowers his voice. “He’s trying to make up for not being able to save you last time.” I suddenly feel like shit. Jason gives me a kiss on the cheek then walks out of the room and closes the door.
I look over at Drew and see that his lip is bleeding. Walking over to him and grabbing his hand, I lead him into the bathroom. “Sit.” I point to the chair in the bathroom which, in my opinion, is really out of place. Instead, he lifts himself up and sits on the counter. I grab a washcloth and wet it with warm water.
“What is the deal with your brother and his friends?”
I look at him, unsure how to answer the question. “They are just really overprotective. I’ve been through some stuff and they just don’t want me to get hurt.”
Drew is sitting shirtless in front of me, his chest still moving rapidly up and down. I place one hand on his chest and then stand on my tip-toes to reach his lip. I’m short as it is and the counters in the bathroom almost come up to my chest. Wiping the blood off his lip, I see that it’s just a small cut. I wipe it one more time, and before I pull my hand away, Drew moves his mouth and softly bites down on the pad of my thumb.
His hands wrap around me and he pulls me tightly against him. “Now, where were we?”
He simultaneously lifts me up as he jumps down off of the counter, turning so that my back is pressed against the cold tile wall of the bathroom. When Drew runs his nose up my neck and kisses me on the sensitive spot behind my ear I moan and tighten my legs that are wrapped around him.
“Are you on birth control?”
His question takes me by surprise. “Yeah…why?”
“Because I told you I want you to be mine in every way possible, and I fucking hate condoms. I want to be able to feel you.” Is he really asking me this? I barely know him. If he gets around as much as I imagine he does, I’m scared to even ask if he’s ever been tested.
“I don’t know.”
“I get why you’re hesitant, baby. Just so you know, I have never not used a condom before, and I get checked out regularly. Also, trust me when I say the last thing I want to do is knock you up.”
His mouth latches on to my neck. God, all I want right now is to have him deep inside of me. “Okay.” I swear, ever since I met Drew, I’ve been doing things I never thought I would.
“Fuck yes.” He grabs his t-shirt that I’m wearing by the collar and rips it in half.
“What is it with you and destroying clothes?”
Drew laughs. “It takes too long to undress you the right way, and with the way I feel right now, I don’t wanna wait another minute. I can always buy more shit.” He lifts me up and walks us into the huge shower. Drew reaches for the shower knob and turns it on, and when it hits me I gasp, but it’s swallowed by his kiss. Just then, I realize that I still have my pants on and I’m completely drenched. I guess I won’t be wearing these home.
Drew sets me down on the floor and slowly peels the pants down my legs. He kisses my knee and then takes his time kissing a trail up to my mouth. His hands wrap around me and grip my ass hard before he sinks himself deep in me. I’ve never had sex without a condom and I’m amazed at how different it feels.
He starts to move in and out of me so fast, slamming me up against the cold tile wall while the water rains down over us. Drew grabs my chin and lifts it so I’m now looking into his eyes. Having him stare at me the way he is while we’re having sex is much hotter than I imagined it would be.
Out of nowhere, Drew pulls out of me and turns me around. “Put your hands on the wall.” His voice is so commanding and dominant that I don’t think twice before I do it. Drew slams into me and I have to keep my palms tight against the wall to keep from going head first into it.
He thrusts into me so hard that I feel like he’s going to come straight through me. I have never had sex like this in my life, and all I can think is that he has ruined me for any other man. He grabs my now drenched hair in his fist and pulls back so I’m forced to arch my back. “This is mine, James.” He smacks my ass so hard I know that it’s going to hurt for a while.
I feel myself building and I know it is going to be really intense, everything with Drew Walker has been intense though. As if he’s reading my mind, Drew snakes his arm around my waist and pinches my clit in between his fingers. “Ahhhhh fuck!” I let go if it’s even possible I think this might have been better then it was before. Shit, he knows what he is doing.
He grips my hips with both hands, slamming me back against him and emptying himself into me. We both collapse against the wall in front of us, panting, and stuck so close together it’s hard to tell where I stop and he begins. For a second, I swear I feel more connected to him than anyone I have ever met in my life, then he ruins it.
“Good job, James. Now let’s shower the sex off and get out of here.”
He smacks my butt and then pulls out of me leaving me feeling empty and used. When I look at him, even though I want to smack the shit out of him, the sight of Drew naked with water running down his body has me ready for round two. How is it possible to hate someone’s guts and want to jump their bones at the same time?
The entire ceiling of the shower rains water, so I grab his bar of soap and start to get washed off. I close my eyes as the water pours over me, running the soap over my skin. It’s almost like I can feel his gaze on me, and sure enough when I open my eyes he’s staring at me. I immediately still my hand that is now around my waistline.
“Don’t stop because of me.” I can feel my cheeks redden and I have no idea what to say to him. He steps closer to me, and although the shower is huge, I feel claustrophobic. “Keep going.
He steps behind me, puts his hand on top of mine, and begins to move it in a circular pattern, slowly making its way down further. When the soap brushes over my clit, I jump because of how sensitive it is right now. He steps around me to face me again.
Drew is looking at me as if waiting for something to happen.
“Continue. Let me see you run your hands all over your body. I want to see how you make yourself feel good, how you get yourself off.”
Is he serious right now? I shake my head in protest. This isn’t me.
“Yes. Do it now. Let me see.”
Even though my head is screaming no, my body is a traitor. As I run soap all over my body, Drew grabs himself and starts slowly stroking. I bring my hand back up to my breasts, slowly massaging and caressing them. Drew’s pace increases and the veins in his neck bulge. When I move back down and dip my hand between my legs, he lets out a primal growl. I can’t believe he’s able to come so quickly after we just had sex.
I smile at him, feeling proud and brazen. “Will you finish me off?”
“No thanks, you can if you want to, though. I’m gonna get dressed, don’t be too long.”
He walks out of the shower, leaving me awe struck and sexually frustrated. Have I mentioned how much I can’t fucking stand him?
Chapter Four
I cannot believe that he just did that to me! He is the most unbelievably immature adult I have ever met in my life! I know I need to go out there and face him, but I’m apprehensive. He sparks emotions and reactions in me that I hate, and makes me do things I would never consider otherwise. I swear I’m going to kill him when I get out there. You can if you want to. Don’t be too long. I think he may actually be the antichrist.
I storm out of the bathroom and start to collect my things that are scattered all over the room. I can’t even look at the beautiful jerk who I know is staring at me. I hear him chuckle and my hands form into tight fists. The only thing that keeps me calm is imagining punching him in his smug face. Once I shove everything into my bag, I head for the door. I am only a foot away from it when Mr. Wonderful stands in front of me blocking my path.
I lift my head to meet his gaze trying to convey my hate and annoyance to him. It only lasts a minute, though, because every time I meet his gaze it’s like I’m under a spell. He puts me into a never ending fog where all I want is to be his. Damn him. I look away, trying to break the spell, and move to go around him.
He steps in front of me once more and I let out a sigh of exasperation. “What?” I try to sound strong and dominant, but I feel like I sound like a child throwing a tantrum. He laughs again and I can’t control myself; I shove his chest with both of my hands. “Ugh!” Of course, being the fortress of steel he is, I barely move him.
When it comes to Drew Walker, I have a feeling that I’m going to have to get used to losing. He’s so dominant in everything that he does that I know it will either be his way or no way. The only question is, am I ready to give up full control to him?
While I’m distracted contemplating our fate, he quickly moves and catches both of my hands, holding them behind my back with one of his. He pulls me so I’m now pushed up against him. “I like it when you’re feisty, James.” He bends his head to kiss me and I fight back the only way I can. I bite him. He inhales quickly, unprepared for my attack, but then smiles at me. “You have no idea how much shit like this turns me on.”
Before I know what’s happening, he spins me around so my butt is now pressed against him and I can feel his erection pressing against me.
“You know, usually I get tired of a girl after having sex a couple of times, but you keep me guessing. I like that.” He lowers his head and bites my neck. I yelp from the pain, but also melt from the pleasure at the same time. “Oh, and I bite back.” He releases me and I’m instantly missing the feeling of being pressed against him. “Let’s go.”
He takes my hand and starts to lead me out of the room. Before we enter the hallway, he grabs my bag out of my hand and tosses it into the room and then lets the door close.
“What the hell?”
“You run from me too much. Now at least I know you have to come back.”
I go to swing at him again and he catches my hand. “Remember what I said, James, I like feisty.” He smacks my butt and starts to lead me down the hall.
At this point, all I can do is shake my head. The man is a force to be reckoned with. We step into the elevator, and when the doors close, he looks over at me. I can tell that he’s thinking about how he got the best of me in the shower earlier. I give him the best dirty look I can manage but all it does it make him laugh. When the doors to the elevator slide open, flashes of light blind me.
“Shit.” I can hear people yelling and Drew grabs my hand. He pulls me, moving so fast I’m glad I am attached to him. I have no doubt I would definitely be lost in this sea of madness if it wasn’t for that. We burst out of the hotel doors and into the SUV we were in last night.
“Fuck!” He punches the door and back of the seat multiple times. I slide a little farther away from him, trying to distance myself. He pulls out his cell phone, and within minutes is yelling at someone on the other line. “I choose to stay at your fucking hotel and this is the shit I have to deal with?!...You better take care of it, and so help me God if it happens again, I’ll fucking buy the building and fire everyone in it!” He throws the phone on the seat next to me. The car stops outside of a building called The Tavern. It looks like a restaurant but one that I would never be able to afford.
The driver opens my door and I’m apprehensive to get out of the car. Could there be photographers waiting here, too?
“You gonna get out of the car or are we gonna sit here all day?”
I look back at him with a scowl on my face, then step out of the car and head straight into the restaurant. I ask the hostess for a table for two and she informs me that they have absolutely no open tables.
I walk back toward the door just as Drew is walking in. “There aren’t any open reservations, we’ll have to go somewhere else.”
He laughs. “You’re funny.” I watch him walk up to the hostess stand and her face transforms into one of awe. Seriously? She grabs two menus and Drew turns back toward me. “You coming?”
I nod my head and know that there are signs of my obvious embarrassment on my face. It must be nice to have people give you whatever you want at the drop of a dime, then it dawns on me that I’m also one of those people. I follow behind him and when we enter the dining room. I’m surprised with how upscale it is. The outside of the building and the entrance do this place no justice. I look down at my ripped low waist jeans and low cut halter-top. I feel like a hooker and everyone is looking at me like I’m one, too.
I swear, men are so damn clueless. Couldn’t he have given me some warning? Someone clears their throat and I see Drew and the hostess standing about five tables away, waiting for me. Great, now I look like an idiot, too. My cheeks heat up as I close the distance between us and sit down at the table. Drew sits down across from me and the waitress lingers a little too long by his side ‘showing him the menu’.
I glare at him from across the table and he’s staring at me in utter amusement. “What?”
“You couldn’t have at least warned me about where we were going? I look like a complete idiot!” I say the last part a little too loud and I can tell he’s irritated.
“You need to keep your voice down. I don’t need the whole damn restaurant knowing my business.” He takes a slow drink of his water, and even with as mad at him as I am right now, I can’t help but stare at his mouth. He runs his tongue along his bottom lip, collecting the remnants of water left on it. It takes every bit of willpower I have not to moan. I have never in my life met anyone who makes me feel the way that Drew Walker does.
He smiles at me and I can tell that he knows he’s affecting me. I clear my throat, trying to make sure my voice doesn’t come out as a breathy whisper of seduction. “I’m just saying you could
have told me not to dress like a streetwalker when we were going to be at a nice place.” Wait, did I just call myself a streetwalker? Nice, Holly.
He laughs. “When exactly would I have told you where we were going? When you were throwing your temper tantrum, trying to run from me, or when you were trying to abuse me?” He places his hand on his chest where I hit him, pretending that I wounded him. “Either way, I really don’t give a shit what people think.”
I can tell that he means it. Drew does whatever he wants and doesn’t care what anyone else has to say. I remember the way he took care of the photographer last night and the call he placed right afterward.
The waitress comes up to take our order and I haven’t even looked at the menu. Drew is staring at me and I can’t even form a cohesive thought. “We will both have the surf and turf cooked medium, no rush.” He doesn’t even look her way as he is speaking, but grabs the menu out of my hands and gives them to her. She lingers for a minute, unsure of what to do, then realizes she’s been dismissed and walks away with her tail between her legs.
I can’t believe he just ordered for me. He didn’t even ask first. With every minute I spend with him, I know that I’m getting myself into even more trouble. “What the heck was that? I can order for myself, you know. What if I’m a vegetarian? Or allergic to shellfish?”
He raises an eyebrow at me. “Are you?”
“No.”
“Okay, so then stop being difficult, James.”
I don’t know how to respond to him. His assertiveness turns me on, but at the same time it pisses off my inner feminist. I wring my hands in my lap, feeling uncomfortable with everything.
“Hey.”
I look up.
“If you’re that uncomfortable I’ll pay every single one of these people to leave, then it won’t matter how you’re dressed.”
Seriously? Who in the world would even offer to do that? Drew, that’s who. I don’t respond and he slides his chair back and starts to stand up. “No! It’s fine, just sit down.”
