She looks at me and nods, “I think so. That just freaked me out a little.”

Parker and Mandy lean forward as Parker comments, “That was awesome. The flying Zombie, then you ran over it.” Him and Mandy both begin laughing.

I just turn my head forward as I begin driving again, shaking my head with a smile on my face…kids.

  *********************

We drove through a few of those piles-ups. It was like everybody was leaving at once and got trapped and died in these pile-ups. It’s sad. We ran into a few Zombies, nothing too crazy and nothing we couldn’t handle. We also took a few stretching and eating breaks, to recoup from everything.

So, we didn’t get very far today, oh well. Now we’re beginning to hit some crazy mountain ranges, that’s going to be a lot of fun. We can see a little snow on top of the mountains. It’s very beautiful, so serene. While looking at it, you almost forget about the chaos that’s going on right now in the real world.

As the sun is beginning to set, I look over at Nina, “Okay, we should find a place to sleep soon.”

She looks over at me and nods, “Okay, I’ll look for something.”

As I continue driving, Nina nudges me as she points towards a house kind of far back into the woods. “How about that over there, Blake?”

I look over, it looks quiet, and it’s kind of hard to see from the road. I look at her and nod. As I turn onto the driveway from the road, we drive closer to the house. I look at Nina, “I sure hope nobody is here. That would be kind of embarrassing.”

She nods in agreement, “Yeah, it would be.”

As we get closer, I don’t notice any cars sitting around. There doesn’t seem to be anything going on over here. I park the car in front of the house, then I look at Nina and the kids, “Okay, I’m going to get out and check the place out. You guys stay in here until I let you know that it’s safe in there.”

Nina grabs my hand, “Be careful, please.”

  I nod, “I will. I promise.”

I get out of the car as I make my way towards the front door. When I arrive at the door, I quietly check the door knob. It’s locked. I decide to knock on the door before I try to force it open. I knock. I wait about thirty seconds, then I knock again. I listen for movement, but I don’t hear any. I step back, then I kick the door open. I quietly walk inside the house. I hold my knife up just in case I come across anything. I walk through the living room, towards the kitchen. I don’t see anything. Then I go back through the living room and slowly make my way down the hall towards the bedrooms. I walk past a bathroom, as I walk inside. I look behind the shower curtain. Okay, bathroom is fine. I walk out of the bathroom, towards the bedrooms. I look inside the first bedroom…safe. Then I walk towards another bedroom…safe. Then I open the last bedroom, it looks like the master bedroom. I walk all the way inside. I look over at the closet and notice that it’s a walk-in closet. I look inside. There’s not that many clothes, I wonder if the people up and left. I turn around and walk towards the bathroom…nothing. Good. This should do well for the night. I walk out of the bedroom, back towards the living room and to the door. I walk outside as I walk back towards the car. I lean down and look at Nina, “It’s safe in there.”

Nina smiles, then looks back at the kids, “Okay guys, let’s get settled for the night.”

The kids smile, “Okay!” they reply in sync.

They all get out of the car as I walk to the back of the SUV and open the rear door. I begin grabbing things as Nina, Parker and Mandy walk over to me as they help me pull things out of the SUV.

Once we have everything, I lock up the SUV, then walk up to the house. Since I kicked the door open, we decided to put a heavy chair and table up against it, so nothing gets inside.

I put the box of food on the kitchen table. Then Parker picks out his room while Mandy picks out her room, meanwhile Nina and I look at each other shyly. “So…um…do you want to share the master bedroom?” I ask her.

She smiles at me, “I’d like that.”

My heart is starting to beat fast as I begin to feel really nervous. We all put our backpacks into the rooms we picked out.

Nina looks at me and smiles, “This is a really nice and quiet place. Maybe we could stay here for a while.” She says as she’s looking around.

I smile at her, “Maybe. But I’m not sure how much stuff there is as far as food and supplies. We need to eat.”

She nods, “Yeah, that’s true. We could always build a fence, then plant a garden or something.”

“True. We could.” I walk over to a window, “I wonder how far away a store, or another house is.”

Nina walks up behind me at the window as she puts her hand on my back, “We can worry about that later.” She points out the window, “Look at that view of the mountains from here.”

I look at where she’s pointing, “That is really beautiful. This is very nice. Very cozy.”

She puts her hand on my face as she gazes into my eyes, “Let’s get the kids fed and off to bed. Then maybe we can have some alone time.”

I nod nervously, “Okay, sounds like a very good plan.”

  **********************

After we ate some food, I went out the back door from the kitchen, to have a cigarette, while Nina was having Parker and Mandy get ready for bed. As I’m out back smoking, cigarette in one hand, knife in the other hand, Nina opens the door, steps outside and wraps her arms around my waist from behind me. “Hey, the kids are in bed and their doors are shut.” She whispers into my ear. I can feel my insides get a little excited.

I turn my head towards her as she plants a kiss on my lips.

After I’m done smoking my cigarette. We walk inside as I lock the back door. I turn towards Nina as I put my hands on her face, gaze into her eyes and lean in to kiss her. She wraps her arms around my neck as she pulls her body up against mine. I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her pelvis up against mine. I’m sure she can feel my hardness under my pants because I can feel her press her pelvis closer against mine.

She leans back and looks at me, “Let’s go into the bedroom.” She whispers.

I take her hand as I lead her towards the master bedroom. Once we walk inside, I shut the door and turn towards her. I take off my shirt as she pulls her shirt off. She has a rocking body for having a baby. And her breasts…they look so perfect and perky.

I walk up to her, put my hands on her face as I plant my lips on hers and slip my tongue into her mouth. She wraps her arms around me as she walks backwards towards the bed. She sits down, then lies down on the bed as I crawl on top of her.

As we’re kissing, she begins to unbutton and unzip my pants. Then she begins to slide them off me. I stand up and pull them all the way down. As I’m doing that, she begins to unbutton her pants as she begins to pull them down. When I’m done with mine, I take her pants as I finish pulling them down her legs. I throw them onto the floor as I climb back onto the bed.

I lean back down to kiss her as she wraps her legs around me and pulls my pelvis down towards hers. I grab myself as I slowly stick it inside of her. Ahhh…she feels so good, I hadn’t had sex with my wife for a while, because she was so uncomfortable with her pregnancy and it had been towards the end of it, so it’s been a while for me.

As I’m thrusting inside her, she clenches onto my back as she moans in ecstasy. The more she moans, the more excited I get and the harder and faster I go. I go as deep inside of her as I can. She’s so beautiful, her long black hair and her beautiful hazel eyes. I love when she gazes into my eyes, her eyes are the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever gazed into.

I thrust deep inside of her as I can feel her orgasming around me, holding me tightly inside of her. As she begins convulsing in ecstasy as I let go and pleasure myself inside of her, my eyes rolling into the back of my head with my final, deep and hard thrust. Her warm insides are wrapped around me tight, which feels so intense.

As I pull myself out, I plop myself next to her. She lays there, looking satisfie
d and happy. She turns onto her side as she puts her hand on my chest and looks at me with an ear to ear smile, “That was phenomenal, Blake. My husband and I haven’t been together for a while. I’ve been so horny ever since I’ve been around you. You’re so sexy and so smart.”

I look at her dumbfounded, “You haven’t been with your husband in a while, why not?”

She shrugs her shoulders, “I don’t know. We just hadn’t been happy in a while. Personally, I think he may have been cheating on me, but I don’t know for sure. We just weren’t intimate in the end.”

I look at her confused, “How could he not want to be with you or want to cheat on you, you’re so beautiful, Nina.”

  “Really? You think so?”

“Yeah, you have a great body, gorgeous hair and beautiful eyes. I think your amazing.”

She lays her head on my chest as she cuddles her body next to mine. “Thank you.”

I put my arm around her as I pull her closer to me. I wonder if we’ll wake up before the kids for round two?

  Chapter 24

Harley and Isaac & Ryder and Kassi

As Ryder is looking at the pile-up, Isaac and I park our car right behind him as we get out and walk over to him. I look at Ryder with wondering eyes, “How are we going to get around this?”

Ryder shakes his head, “I don’t know. That’s what I’m trying to figure out. I know I can fit through, I’m just not too sure about you guys.”

Isaac stands there looking dumbfounded as he’s staring ahead, shaking his head.

I walk a little ways up, looking to see if I can figure out how far this pile-up goes.

I hear Ryder yell at me, “Harley, be careful! I don’t know if there’s any Zombies in those cars! I don’t want you to get bit!”

I turn around and look at Ryder, “It’s okay, I’ve got this.” I hold up my knife. “I don’t leave my car without it!” I reply with a chuckle.

He chuckles as he shakes his head, “You’re a dork, Harley.”

I smile sheepishly at him, “I know.” I turn around and continue walking. I look off to both sides of the pile-up, then I turn around and begin walking back.

Suddenly I hear a noise behind me as Ryder yells, “Harley! Behind you!”

I turn around and see a Zombie coming towards me. I take a couple of steps towards the Zombie as I stab him in the forehead. I turn back towards Ryder with a sheepish smile, “Got him!”

Ryder just shakes his head at me.

When I get back to Ryder and Isaac I ask, “So, what if we were to drive on the side, either the left side or the right side. Your motorcycle should be able to zig zag in the middle of the pile-up, but Isaac and I could probably go around it.”

Ryder and Isaac look at each other, then Isaac looks at me, “That might work. We have a car, it should be small enough to make it in between the cars and those trees.” Then he looks at Ryder, “What do you think?”

Ryder walks off to the side of the pile-up, towards the tress, then he looks at our car, then back at the path in between, then he nods, “Yeah, that should make it. I can lead the way a little by zig zagging in between the cars.”

Isaac and I look at each other and nod. Then I look at Ryder, “Be careful though.”

Ryder goes to his motorcycle and opens one of his saddlebags, he pulls out two guns. He walks over to us and hands us one, “Here, take a gun. If we’re driving, we don’t have time to stop and kill with a knife. Have you ever used one before?”

Isaac shakes his head no, I look up at Ryder, “I have. My dad took me out shooting before I headed off to college. I was a pretty good shot.”

Ryder smiles at me with satisfaction. “Okay, I’ll let you handle it. Now, sit in the backseat and if you two get into trouble, or you see I’m in trouble, shoot. Don’t hesitate, just do it.”

  I nod, “Okay, got it.”

Isaac and I walk back to our car, as Ryder walks back to his motorcycle. Kassi is standing next to it, looking bored.

Isaac starts the car as he backs up a little, then drives down the little hill, then hangs left as he drives on a little path between the car pile up and a forest of trees.

As I’m sitting in the backseat, I’m keeping an eye on all sides of us. And I’m watching Ryder and Kassi as they zig zag around the cars. I look to the right of Isaac and me as I see a Zombie walking towards us from the forest. Eh…he looks far enough away from us that he shouldn’t be a problem. Then, as I’m watching Ryder and Kassi, I notice a Zombie emerge from behind a car and begins following them. Then another Zombie joins the first Zombie. Shit! Ryder slows down because there’s cars in his way and he’s not able to get through! I aim towards the front Zombie as I pull the trigger. And he’s down. The Zombie behind him trips and falls over him…right on…I didn’t see that happening!

Ryder takes a quick look behind him, then he turns towards me as he smiles and gives me a thumbs up as he begins to look at the trapped situation he’s in.

I pat Isaac on the shoulder, “Hey, we need to stop, Ryder and Kassi are trapped!”

I jump out of the car and run over towards Ryder and Kassi. Ryder is standing there, looking at the cars and trying to figure out how to get out of this situation. He scratches his head.

“Um….” I look around frantically, then I notice an opening for him to drive down where we are, then he can lead us. “Look, Ryder, you can take this trail to the path Isaac and I are driving.”

He looks at me and smiles, “You’re so observant, Harley.”

Then I hold the gun up towards Ryder as he looks at me with deer in headlight eyes. I narrow my eyes as I’m aiming, then I shoot! Ryder closes his eyes as he winces his face. The Zombie behind him falls to the ground.

Ryder opens one eye and looks at me with confusion. I smile sheepishly at him. Then he opens both eyes as I’m smiling at him with satisfaction. “Look behind you.”

He turns and looks behind him as he notices the dead Zombie lying on the ground behind him. Then he turns back to me with an impressed look on his face, “Wow, you’re good.”

Kassi looks at the both of us as she makes an ‘umph’ sound. “Can we just go please. I’m really bored.”

Ryder looks at me with empathetic eyes, as he whispers, “I’m so sorry about her.”

“It’s okay. It’s all good.” I turn around and walk back towards the car where Isaac is still sitting.” I get into the passenger side front seat and look at Isaac, “Hey, Ryder is going to be coming down here and we’re going to follow him out of here.”

Isaac nods, “Okay, sounds good.” Then he looks at me with a cheesy grin, “Great shot, by the way.”

I look at him with a shy smile, “Thanks.”

Well, we manage to make it past the pile-up. We finally get back onto the open road, when we come across another pile-up. Ryder stops, gets off his motorcycle and lights a cigarette. Isaac and I get out of the car. I walk up to Ryder, “Can I have one?”

Ryder smiles as he hands me a cigarette, “You better steal us a few packs at the next store we stop at.” He says with a wink.

I chuckle, “Done.” I reply with a wink.

After Ryder puts out his cigarette, he looks at Isaac and me, “Okay, it looks like we can drive off on the side like last time. I sure hope that there aren’t too many more of these up ahead.”

Isaac looks at me, “I guess this is what happened to all the people and why we haven’t seen any.”

I nod with a wave of sadness through me, “I wonder how all of this happened?”

Isaac and Ryder shrug their shoulders. Ryder puts his hand on my shoulder, “Let’s get going, it’ll be dark soon.”

Isaac and I walk back to our car as Ryder hops back onto his motorcycle, where Kassi is patiently waiting for him.

Ryder leads the way for us along the car pile-up. Once we’re past it, we get back onto the road as we continue to follow Ryder.

We come across a small town as we see a small building with a sign that says ‘Diner
. Ryder pulls up to it as Kassi and him get off the bike. Isaac and I pull up next to him. Ryder gets a goofy smile on his face, “Let’s see if we can find more peanut butter sandwiches and pastries.” He says with a wink.

Kassi just looks at him and shakes her head while Isaac and I chuckle.

Kassi begins walking towards the door as Ryder lights a cigarette, he looks over at Kassi as he notices she’s walking away. He asks with irritation, “Kass, where are you going?”

She looks at him with a duh look, “Um…inside.”

“Don’t go inside without me checking it first.”

She holds her knife up in the air, “I think I can handle it, thank you.” She replies facetiously.

Ryder shakes his head as he holds his hand up in surrender, “Whatever, get killed.”

Isaac and I just awkwardly watch their little squabble.

Ryder looks at us with wondering eyes, “I don’t understand what her problem is. She was never like this until everything happened. She was actually pleasant to be around before all this.”

Isaac and I just shrug our shoulders, “I don’t know, Ryder.” I reply empathetically.

Ryder finishes his cigarette and puts it out on the ground. Then he looks at us, “Let’s go inside and check on Kassi and make sure it’s safe inside.”

Isaac and I follow Ryder inside. As we enter the Diner, we hear a scream coming from the kitchen. The three of us run in that direction as Ryder leads the way. We arrive in the kitchen as we see Kassi on one side of an island, holding her knife in the air and a Zombie on the other side. Ryder runs over to the Zombie as he stabs the Zombie in the head. Then he looks over at Kassi with anger on his face, “I TOLD YOU NOT TO COME IN HERE ALONE! YOU COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED!”

Kassi breaks down crying as Ryder walks over to her and wraps his arms around her, holding her tight. Isaac and I just look at each other awkwardly, not knowing what to say or do.

Then I announce, “Um…Isaac and I will check out the bathrooms.”

Ryder looks at us and nods. I turn to Isaac as I tug at his arm, “Let’s go.”

Isaac nods in agreement as we leave the kitchen.
