“You’re not having second thoughts, are you?” my mom asked.

I turned around and smiled. “No. I just can’t believe this is happening.”

“Well, believe it. In a few minutes, you will be Mrs. Morgan Carter.” Tamara said as she handed me my bouquet of white lilies.

Christine, who was the wedding coordinator, walked inside of the tent and smiled.

  “It’s time, Hayley.”

I looked at my mom and Tamara, smoothed down my dress again, and glanced at Christine. “I’m ready.”

My dad walked into the tent and hugged me. “I can’t believe my baby girl is getting married.”

I smiled as I draped my arm over my dad’s. Since what happened, our relationship wasn’t the same. I went three weeks without talking to him because I blamed him for what happened; but I had to realize that if my mom forgave him, then I should as well; so for my mom’s sake, I put my feelings to the side. Besides, I did want him to walk me down the aisle.

Christine gave us the cue to walk down the row of white petals. We opted not to have any music since we’re having our ceremony on the beach. This was a dream venue to have my vows done while the sun was setting. Morgan knew a former classmate who had a private one near the college town, so for his wedding gift to us, he let us use it.

As soon as I walked in, I stared at my future husband. Damn, he looked so sexy. Morgan always looked good, but him wearing a white tux were giving me all type of thoughts right now.

He gave a huge grin as he saw me slowly come to him. When I approached, his eyes lingered to my body to my hair.

  “You straighten your hair?”

  “I figured I needed a change.” I said.

  “It’s beautiful, baby.”

I blushed as the minister began to speak.

My dad wouldn’t let me go when the minister ask who was giving me away. I gently took my arm from his and smiled.

During the ceremony, I had looked at everyone who was sharing this special day with us. From Tamara and Lamar, my parents, Kyle and Demetria, who was sitting with his mom, Leslie, and Doris, I couldn’t help but to be grateful for this small group of people. We all had our shares of ups and downs with each of them, but we all helped one another; now, we all have a close bond that would never be broken.

I glanced at Demetria again, who gave me a wink. At first, I didn’t trust her, but she turned out to be a very great friend. Not only did she help us with the Sophia situation, but she fought for her relationship with Kyle. I would always be thankful to her for not turning me in, but I think she wanted to move on from the situation and be happy. I think Kyle is doing a great job of that.

Once we exchanged rings and saw our vows, it was now time to pronounce us man and wife. Morgan gently grabbed me and gave me a kiss that I’m pretty sure had some people blushing, but I didn’t care. He was my husband now, so he was entitled to kiss me anyway he wanted.

I took Morgan’s hand and we walked down the aisle together. Everyone was cheering for us which made me feel loved. I can’t wait until the reception, because I have a surprise for my new husband.

Once I changed into my second outfit, a cream-colored minidress, I went back out to the beach where we had our reception. Morgan was standing on the makeshift dance floor as the DJ was playing the song we chose for our first dance: Ed Sheerdan’s “Thinking Out Loud.” That’s the song Morgan played after my first night at The Palace, so that was the song I wanted for our wedding.

As the DJ announced us, everyone cheered as Morgan took my hand. He held me as I wrapped my arms around him. He held me even tighter while whispering in my ear.

“You know, I’m trying not to have dirty thoughts right now, but that dress looks too damn good on you right now.”

I smiled. “You know I wore it just for you.”

“Of course. And I’ll have no problems taking it off you once we get into that limo.”

“Can’t wait until we get to the hotel?”

  “Not at all.”

I smiled as he kissed my cheek.

“I do have a surprise for you.”

He glanced at me while my smile grew even wider.

“Are you going to tell me?”

  “I’m pregnant.”

Morgan looked from me to my stomach and then back at me. “Seriously?”

“Yes. I’ve been feeling sick lately so I went to the doctor and she confirmed it. I’m almost two months.”

  “Was it when…?”

I nodded. It was the night we made up was when we conceived our child. I knew it would happen eventually, since we weren’t using protection; I just hope Morgan is okay with it.

“Are you ready to be a father? I know you said before that you weren’t, but…”

“That was because of everything that was going on. Now that all of our problems are gone, I’m more than ready.”

I knew the tears would fall when he kissed me. He touched my stomach and grinned.

“Wow. I’m going to be a father.”

“Who would had thought you, Morgan Carter, would be married and having a child on the way.”

“I didn’t at first, but now, I can definitely see it, because it’s with you. I love you, Hayley Carter.”

“Stevens-Carter, but you’ll get it right eventually.”

Morgan rolled his eyes and kissed me.

“By the way, I love you too.”

I pulled him to me and kissed him.

Throughout the years, I knew Morgan would be mine, but he was too afraid to admit it. Little did I know the reason why. Through all of the ups and downs, crazy relatives and delusional people who tried to keep us apart, it didn’t work because we still made it. And it made us stronger than ever. Now, we’re moving on to an even bigger chapter in our lives: Married with a child on the way.

Now, everything in our lives is just right.
