I think that is it for now. It’s my turn to drive, hopefully I can convince Brandon to stop for a bathroom break and a milkshake in the next town. One week until we are in Santa Monica. Wish me luck.

Acknowledgments
I always thought writing a novel was the hardest part—then, came editing. *gasp* Even then, I don’t think editing is the hardest part. Not anymore at least. This is the billionth draft of my Acknowledgement! I want to make sure to thank everyone, but not run on and on to the point that it’s not read. Oh, the pressure!
There are many people to thank, and not nearly enough time in the day to sing their praises. First, I’d like to thank my Publisher, Black Rose Writing and Reagan Rothe, for taking a chance on my debut novel ‘The Crescent’, and giving me the opportunity to surpass it with ‘Half Moon’.
To my extended family and friends, thank you for your motivation, inspiration, and dedication during this very long and tedious process. I know I’ve been unavailable, and a bit neurotic. So, my everlasting thanks for putting up with me! (Especially when I would have conversations with my characters.)
To my Critique Partners and Beta Readers: Robyn Moss, J.A. Souders, and Kathy Evanglista. Thank you to for being my support and helping me take my writing to the next level. You definitely helped me exceed my expectations.
To the many Book Bloggers and readers I’ve met during this journey: there are so many wonderful people in the writing community; I couldn’t even begin to list them here. However, you are all extraordinary individuals. I learn from you each and every day. I hope you love these characters, and their story, as much as I do.
I’d like to send special thanks to my mother for staying up all night to read the first draft of ‘Half Moon’ and for her 2 A.M. text that read: “It Rocks!” To my father, for perfecting the strong, silent type—while still showing love in his own way. To my son, for being the craziest kid on earth. One day, I hope you read this book, and realize Mama used to be cool. Even though, I’m still your mother, and you’re not allowed to date until you’ve finished college. No exceptions!
Special thanks and huge hugs to Lynsey Newton, the most amazing best friend I have yet to meet. You are beyond remarkable. You’ve been my Band-Aid, my shoulder to cry on, and the swift kick in the butt that I deserved, at many times. I heart you for that. Now that you’ve gotten ‘Half Moon’ in print though, it’s about time I get one from you in return. So, get to it, and I want a first edition, hardback, signed copy. (That’s not too much to ask, is it?)
To my niece Jackie, I wish for you a world of never ending possibilities. Gaze at the stars and chase your dreams. The future is yours. Life is about the journey, not the destination. So, don’t waste a minute. Sleep is overrated! Just look at me—you know staying up all night is how all my writing happens. Find your passion and stay up all night for it—it’s worth it.
To my brother Jimmy, who taught me to look to each new day as a realm of unknown possibilities and adventures—just waiting to be had. Jimmy, you are loved more than a heart can love… and you are missed more than any words can describe.
And last, but not least, thanks to my husband—for listening to me drone on about character outlines, plot twists, edits (and the curse words that accompany them), re-writes (more curse words), deadlines, contracts, agents, and a few rants about queries (okay, maybe more than a few) that my son shouldn’t have been privy to.
Life’s about the journey…
Much love,
Jordan~
