by Miss Janelly

Steven sent his sister a text to pick up his things as soon as possible. He made the proper calls to get his divorce moving faster. He starting thinking about how his family would react to bringing Jade home. Everyone would think she was after his money. He wanted her to met his family. But he didn't want to put her in a tough situation.

He heard a knock at the door. He looked out of the peephole but didn't see anyone. He opened the door and saw Jade standing before him.

“What are you doing off so early?” he said, grabbing her hand and leading into his bedroom suite.

  “It's three baby..”

“What.. we missed our lunch date.”

  “It's fine.”

“I've been taking care of business for my divorce. This is a stressful process. I just don't want my children to hurt.”

“I know baby but it'll be okay,” she said, rubbing his back.

“I love you Jade, I feel like no one understands me but you.”

“I feel the same way.. so about this trip to Manchester, you're paying right?” Jade said, lowly.

“Over course.. it's almost a thousand baby.”

“I took off work for it,” she said.

“Good, I want you to meet my parents.”

Jade froze in her spot when she hear those words “meet my parents”.

“I'm not too sure about this. Older English people meeting a twenty-one year old black woman. I don't think its the right time. Maybe after the divorce is finalize.”

  “Jade..”

“Steven, I really don't want to cause more problems than I've already have.”

Steven kissed Jade, nibbling on her juicy bottom lip. He stared into her brown eyes. “You have nothing to worry about.”

“Steven, please don't put me through this. I've already envision how meeting your wife will be. Eventually we will cross paths.”

Steven walked out of the room. He couldn't understand why Jade was being selfish and stubborn. He wanted to make things official with her. He wanted her to understand that he loved her unconditionally and regardless of what anyone said. He didn't want her to think that she was his mistress.

“Race still matter,” Jade said walking into the living room.

“Things are different in the UK.”

“It's still racism baby, I do know that much.”

  “Trust me.”

“I can't on this one. You aren't divorce yet and you want me to meet your parents. That's completely absurd,” Jade said, throwing her hands up in the air. She just wanted to have a peaceful evening with her lover.

“At least consider it baby. I believe we're soul mates.”

Jade stared at Steven. She was a little taken back by his last comment. Soul mates? They only knew each other for five months. It had been a whole month before that, they weren't speaking to each other. Could he really believe this or did he think she wanted to hear that? She just couldn't understand why he wanted to move so fast.

  “Wow.”

  “What? You don't think so.”

“Steven, I'm not trying to have a serious relationship right now. I just got out of a four year relationship.”

“I was married to one woman for ten years. How do you think I feel? She's the mother of my children and I rather be with a woman I've only seen twice.”

Jade knew in his voice that he still loved his wife. She assumed that deep down inside he did still love her and possibly could make it work.

  “You still love her?”

  “Of course I do.”

Those words stung like a fresh tattoo, she didn't feel the same way about Deshawn. But of course they weren't married and didn't have children together. Maybe she just didn't understand how serious this was.

“So why are you here with me?” Jade asked, nervously. She didn't want to hear his answer.

“Because I love you, past the physical connection we have. Maybe to you its just sex. But to me its so much more.”

“I guess it is just sex,” Jade admitted. This whole affair was only to get back at Deshawn. She really didn't think they would really end their four year courtship. She missed Deshawn a little but not enough to take him back.

“So you've been lying me this whole time.”

“I guess now you know how it feels huh?” she said, grabbing her purse.

“Wow Jade Monroe. I guess I deserved that huh?”

“Steven Openshaw, you know I love you more than anything. I just don't want to ruin people's lives because of my love for you.”

“I completely understand, princess. Get naked.”

Jade couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth, causing her to drop her purse.

  “What?”

“You heard what I said, get naked. Or else!” he demanded. Steven stared at his lover's body waiting to see the caramel skin that he craved to taste.

Jade quickly hopped out of work clothes and climbed on top of Steven. Jade sat in his lap and nibbled on his ear causing him to increase his breathing.

“Do I made you hot and bothered?” she whispered in his ear. She didn't mind taking advantage of him in the living room on the couch. She loved to be spontaneous and make him weak.

“Yes...” he moaned. Jade could tell exactly where his weakness were. She unbuttoned his shirt and kissed his bare chest. Sucking on his pale skin leaving passionate marks.

“I love you so much...” he said, as he started playing with her hot core.

“Mr. Business I'm ready I don't need foreplay. I want to feel you,” Jade whined. She wanted to be one with Steven.

“I have to get up and get a condom.”

“You don't have to use one,” she moaned.

Steven looked at her funny and said “Jade, I have four kids, yes I do.”

“You don't want a baby with me?” she said, with her puppy dog eyes.

“I do but not right now, princess. Please don't look at me with those eyes. It's so hard to say no to you.”

“I want to feel you without a condom just for a few moments.” Jade went from kissing his chest to kissing his manhood. Before he knew it, she was pleasing him in ways he dreamed of. Steven looked down at Jade as she did her thing. Steven tried his best to have self control but he was going to explode any moment.

“Jay, please.. don't do this to me.”

Jade looked up into his eyes and stop. She grabbed his manhood and licked it again. “Why not?”

“Keep going then...” he said. It wasn't before long he had exploded.

“Do you still need that condom?” Jade smirked.

“Jay, I'm in a vulnerable position right now. You know how much I care about you. But in order for us to work. We don't need any kids.” Steven got up from the couch and retrieved a condom. He sheathed his hard member and grabbed Jade and turned her around. He took his lover from behind and started slow.

Jade really wanted to have sex without a condom because she loved him and wanted to really feel him. She felt that couldn't get any closer than without a condom.

“Don't have an attitude with me either miss,” Steven said, finding his rhythm.

The two lovers spent the rest of the evening making love. The lovers ordered room service and enjoyed each others company.

“I love you sweetheart,” he said.

“I love you too. I do want to go to Manchester with you.”

Steven eyes light up and he smiled. “I'm so glad princess. I'm really going to treat you like a princess when you come.”

  “I can't wait,” she smiled.

  Chapter Ten

When Jade step off of the plane, things felt different. Manchester had a very different vibe than in America. She thought about how she knew it was still racism that Steven tried to deny. Manchester could possibly be her new home. It just depended on how the trip would go. Manchester, definitely was gloomy and rainy. She laughed to herself thinking about why Steven was so pale.

“We're home,” Steven said, looking at Jade.

  “It looks so depres
sing here, I'll probably lose my color here,” she joked. Steven grabbed her bag and walked straight to the taxi waiting for them.

“Wow, so the driver is on the passenger side?” she asked, looking confused.

“No silly, that's the drivers side. It's a lot of things you will learn, you will love it over here princess, I promise.”

“Alright, so when are we making a baby?” she asked.

Her random comment caused the taxi driver to stare at them in the rear view mirror.

Steven blushed and said “What are you in a rush for?”

“I don't know, I just want to experience the real thing. I'm not getting any younger and I want a baby.”

“Missy, looks like I will have to tame you. You're really acting a little much lately.”

She stared at Steven not knowing what to say. “What do you mean?”

“You've been acting differently...” he said, looking out of the window.

“You're the one who kicked me out of a hotel room, the first time we spend time together. You've really treated me like a mistress.”

The cab driver cleared his throat loudly causing Steven and Jade to look at him.

Steven blushed at her comment and looked out of the window.

Later on that afternoon, the lovers laid in the bed, not saying anything.

“What's wrong Jade?” Steven said, looking down at Jade. She laid on his chest listening to his heart beat. If only you knew how much I love you.

“I just don't think you should get a divorce. What about your children?”

“I will always be there for my children.”

  “I guess,” she said.

“Let's just enjoy this time together, it's been a lot these last few months. I really just want to enjoy our time together. Saddle up, baby,” he said, looking at Jade with lustful eyes. He started rubbing between her caramel thighs.

“Baby.. I’m really tired and plus you didn't pick up any condoms.”

“I always have condoms dear,” he said, reaching into his pocket.

Jade rolled her eyes. She started to think about how much sex they were having. Maybe they didn't have anything in common but sex.

“So, all we have is sex? What about getting to know me. You've really changed.”

Steven said sat up in the bed. “I met you on a freaking chat site. What do you expect? You want me to marry you, you're only twenty-one years old. You don't even know what you want out of life. I helped you get out a terrible relationship, isn't that enough?”

“So this is how you really feel? I thought you loved me. You've been using me the whole time?”

“I haven't been using you at all. I just want you to be happy. I can't take you right now.”

Steven climbed out of bed and put his t-shirt back on.

“Where are you going?” Jade said, concerned.

“Out,” he said, grabbing his wallet and left out of the room.

Jade laid in the bed, upset thinking about what just happened. She had only been in Manchester for a few hours and they were fighting. Jade couldn't believe she came all the way across the world to be with him, and he left her alone. Jade ordered room service and a bottle of Jack Daniels. She wanted to try to forget about their argument. She loved him so much but things just didn't seem right.

Steven sat at the bar in his favorite pub. Steven had a few drinks and he ran into his best mate, Drew.

“Mate, where the hell have you been? I heard about the divorce,” he said, sitting next to Steven.

Steven smoothed his hair back and said “Yeah, I’ve met someone else.”

  “Your little black mistress huh?”

“She's not my mistress, Drew I really like this girl.” Steven ordered another beer, he hadn't really told anyone about Jade but knew people would be talking about his divorce. He loved her so much but he knew everyone wouldn't approve.

“Who is she? Do I know her?”

Drew and Steven had been best mates since grade school. The two friends even went to university together and were roommates. Steven trusted him with everything, but this was the only thing he didn't tell him about. He just didn't know how to tell him about her. He didn't want anyone to judge him.

“She lives in the states, you can meet her if you want. She's here.”

“United States, Steven where in the cold hell did you find this... woman?”

Steven laughed and said “A chat room.”

  “How's the sex?”

“Blazing.. Out of this world, mate you wouldn't believe.”

“Can I try her out?” he joked.

Steven's cheeks turned red and his mood changed. He didn't even wanted another guy looking at her, let alone touching her. He had never been a jealous person until he met Jade. He felt like everywhere they went guys were drooling over her. He didn't want to lose her to a younger guy with a better stamina.

“Hell no, she's mine. She not the type I would want to share. Maybe at university but this girl is different.”

Drew looked at him in disbelief. Drew's brown eyes stared at his mate. He just shook his head.

“Seriously how old is this girl, thirty?”

  “Twenty-one.”

“What are you doing, mate? Is sex really worth ending your marriage. You know you love Megan. I can't believe you're leaving her, for a girl who probably just wants a sugar daddy. What site did you met her on? Sugar daddies and sugar babies, American woman always want your money. ”

“I've been unhappy for years with Megan. The only joy, she's brought me is my children. I just can't take being with her anymore. We got married for the wrong reasons. When she got pregnant, her family forced me to marry her. Didn't want anyone to shun us. But Megan and I haven't had sex in two years. I guess I kind of went overboard went I met Jade. She was in a troubled relationship and I wanted to please her. Didn't think it would lead to us getting together. I'm not thinking about marriage but just want to enjoy my time with her. I love her and I’ve only known her five months. We just got into a crazy argument. I need to go back and fix it.”

“Wow, I had no idea, that is was more than just sex. I remember back at university that you were all about chasing woman. I knew you had a thing for black woman since we were little, you just never acted on it,” Drew said, taking a shot.

“Yeah, I’m going back to talk to her, I'll see you later mate.”

  Chapter Eleven

Steven walked into their hotel room to find Jade sleeping. He sat on the side of the bed and gently stroked her hair out of her face. God she's beautiful. She's definitely a blessing in his life and he didn't want anyone but her. He gently kissed her forehead.

Jade woke up and her eyes looked puffy and red.

He looked deeply into her eyes. “You were crying sweetie?” he asked. He didn't like to see her upset.

“Yeah, you had left. I thought about going back home. I feel like I’ve cause your family a lot of trouble,” she said, crying.

“No, you haven't sweetheart. I promise you have nothing to do with it. You really make me happy. Stay with me and let's get a place,” he said, kissing her.

She looked into his gray eyes and said “You have a hold on me, I can't imagine my life without you. I felt so depressed with Deshawn, and I'm so glad it's over.”

He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. He knew that the age difference definitely was going to be a problem for others.

“Will, you please give us a chance, I want to start looking for a place soon.”

“Will it be hard to find a job?”

“You don't have to work baby. Everything will be fine sweetie,” he said, kissing her forehead. Jade wanted to trust him with everything but a little part of her didn't. She knew that she would cross paths with his wife soon. Jade thought about everything that was going on.

“Okay, I'll move in with you,” she said, kissing him.

Steven smiled and held her tight. “I love you...”

  “I love you to
o,” she said, looking into his gray eyes. That night the lovers made love over and over again.

The following morning, Jade woke up to arguing. She walked into the hotel living room surprised to see a woman arguing with Steven.

“So you're his mistress?” the short hair brunette asked. Jade looked at the woman who she believed was his wife. The woman stood next to Steven, she had to be a few inches shorter than him.

“I'm not a mistress... and who are you supposed to be?” she asked, with her hand on her hip. Jade didn't want to be rude to her. She stared at Steven without words to say.

“Do you really have to ask?” she said, pointing to her ring.

At that moment, Jade was speechless. Reality had hit her like a ton of bricks, she was only the mistress, and Megan was the wife. She stared at her wanting to say a lot but no words came out.

“It doesn't matter, he's getting a divorce,” she shot back. She wanted to stand her ground. She came across the Atlantic ocean just to be with Steven, she wasn't turning back now.

Megan walked up to Jade. She wasn't backing down for anything. “Why would you want to break up our family? I loved Steven for more than a decade now. So is Steven supposed to be your sugar daddy? I've dealt with his selfishness and so many things I'm sure you don't know about. I've known him all my life and I want our marriage to work. Please leave him alone. We can pretend this never happen,” Megan, said trying to reason with her.

“I love him just like you do, sure I don't have his kids, but he means the world to me,” she said.

Steven stood up and said “Please, stop I'm sorry Megan but I'm in love Jade. I'm not changing my mind.”

“You know I checked on our marriage status and it was never filed, we are still married, not separated. So why did you lie to her saying, you were separated? Is says you never filed,” Megan said, handing Steven the papers.

Steven overlooked the papers and his face immediately turned red.

“No this isn't true, I did file I need to talk to my lawyer.”

“That's fine but I'm pregnant,” Megan said rubbing her stomach, staring into Steven's eyes. At that moment, no one knew what to say. Especially Steven, could it be possible, the one night they did have sex, she's pregnant. He hadn't told Jade but he had sex with his wife, when he came home out of anger with Jade. He believed he lost Jade forever so he tried to work it out with his wife.
