“My Lady, you look wonderful,”said the older woman.
“Thank you. I don’t know what I’d done without you. She gave the older women a soft kiss on the cheek.
“Now we have to get you to the church. Come! The older woman, put a light matching cape over Julie’s shoulders, and lead her through the house. She opened the front door to allow her to step through. Julie again kissed her on the cheek.
“Your carriage awaits, My Lady,”she said, as Julie saw the decorated limousine waiting for her. Julie smiled and made her way to it. The driver opened the door and and slid inside. The door closed behind her. She sat there on a cloud seemingly floating in mid air. The limo started and was away. Her heart was racing, and naturally she was excited. The trip to the church took no time at all. An usher opened the door for her, where she was met by her Mother and Father. Tears came to her eyes as she embraced her parents.
“Mother --- how?”were the only words she could manage.
“Never mind Dear. We’ll talk later. She took the cape from Julie’s shoulders, and arranged her veil, as she disappeared down the aisle, lastly giving her a bouquet of flowers.
“Dad!”she said, as he took her arm.
“Everything will be fine!”Then the wedding music began.
“We’re on,”he said holding her arm prompting her down the aisle. Flowers decorated the ends of the pews, and there ahead stood Jim, her sister June, her husband Paul, and her mother. And there also stood a minister and a rabbi. Seems Jim had thought of everything. Julie’s head swooned with excitement, as the marriage ceremony began. She vaguely remembered Jim holding her arm, and the wedding vows being said by both the minister and rabbi. This had to be a first in the history of religion. She remembered her saying I do, as well as Jim, then they both kissed, and ran down the aisle together. Then there was the reception, where she and Jim cut the cake and danced. She was still floating on her cloud. The time seemed to pass so quickly. Then as she and Jim were leaving for a week in Hawaii much to her surprise, she threw the bouquet, and was lost again into her silvery carriage, and embraced in Jim’s arms.
“I love you Mrs. Chang.”he said as he embraced his wife and kissed her. And somewhere, somehow, she remembered feeling Jim through his pants, and then they were away, Mr. and Mrs. Chang. This is how it all began.
